The route is outlined well, and paved nicely. Plenty of optional trails along the way along with a great deal of shaded parts to keep cool. The optional trails that run off the paved ones don't appear to be too muddy . Plenty of benches and trash cans to dispose of any items. Very clean a ver minute litter throttle trail. The restrooms we saw appeared to be on another street at another park. Really good for an easy stroll.

Nice & relaxing oasis in the middle of the city. Trails are covered with many trees. Easy to enjoy during hot summer days due to all the shade. Many benches to stop & relax. Trash bins throughout the nature area to throw away any rubbish.

If you want to go on an amazing run, walk in the park or stroll with kids; this is the place to go! I went for a walk with my cousin at 9am in July on a Saturday (yes it was 85F) but there are so many trees which provide great shade on the walking trails. Parking is tricky there aren't any big lots to park so I parked near the area then walked to the park. Many people park near whole foods or the stores near there because it's a large park. Overall you won't be disappointed if you come here!

Cool view ! Inside the path of trees

Had to escape from being inside. Came to the perfect place here at Spring Creek Nature Trails. What fun it was, the concrete paths are so wide that we could stay away from people. My daughter and I went on a lot of off the main path to be more adventurous, it was great! There is all ages of people that were here, people walking their dogs, riding bikes (which was annoying) if you're walking/jogging on the main path. The view is great!! We did a hour adventure and clocked it almost 3 miles! This would not be good for the summer, would be too hot! Also there is paths that have no warning that if you go down them it goes to apartments, which suck because of you haven't ever been you have to come all the way back should be a sign that says to apartments (dead end). That was the downfall. But to get away and enjoy outdoors, this is a great place!! Even see all kinds of wildlife, my daughter pointed out a red tail hawk it was cool. With all the rain we could not go to more off paths because it was muddy and wet. So we want to come back and go on them! Plus just to come back to escape the world of being inside. Great place Richardson! A+!

This is a great spot conveniently located in the middle of everything, but wooded enough that it doesn't take long to forget you're in a city! The river is clear and beautiful, and there's a little path that will get you down to the bank. The mix of paved and unpaved trails, marshy wooded areas and gathering areas makes this an awesome little spot to get outdoors!

Wife had learned of this park from a nature walk group. And I'm glad she did. Sunday and wife suggests taking the family here for a walk. Such a beautiful place to walk in nature. The path is paved for a effortless, relaxing walk. The river was a pleasant surprise. And after our walk there is a playground to take the kiddies. So glad there are places like this in the city to to get away from the city.

A great little oasis in the heart of the Telecom Corredor. Some nice hiking or biking trails.

It's a praying mantis. Look out for the bikers and runners!

Absolutely love this place. I grew up coming to the trails and just walking around deep into the woods. This place brings back fond memories that I will always cherish. Great place for the whole family to enjoy during a lazy Sunday. This place is Richardson's most precious hidden gem!

he new State Farm World headquarters... directly adjacent to wear the new half of the park will be built.

This park is a nature lover and bicyclist or walkers dream come true. Since it is located off a busy freeway in the middle of a plethora of recent office development, you could drive right by and not even know it's there. but if you look for the forest at 75 and Renner you will find it. I feel safe here. it is never crowded and incredibly well maintained. As far as bicycling goes, this gets 10 stars. Well maintained in wide sidewalks and during most parts of the day you will have the entire park to yourself. The great news about this part is that it is being almost doubled in size.... thanks to a generous donation of almost 70 acres from Margaret Hunt. cannot wait to see the improvements they make!

Ask the Community - Spring Creek Nature Area Trail

I can't find a place to park? Last time I went w a friend, we parked at the offices, but Idt that's allowed and I can't find a normal lot to park

There is parking on the side close to George Bush. Think that's on Renner. Parking lot just for the trails.

I love this little hidden trail - you'd never guess it's sandwiched between a busy freeway and surrounding office developments.

After the gate is closed if you need to be let out, you have to call the police. But there's so much to do here! Not just the swimming area! There's a hiking trail, playground and walking trails. Beautiful views and plenty of space to social distance yourself. The trails are available for no fee as far as I could tell, but the swimming area near WhoaZone is $5. They do not take cash, only debit/credit card. The swimming area has a playground and picnic areas. I think there's a spot to cast your kayaks off over there too, but I stayed near the beach and didn't explore anything else. I saw vehicles with kayaks going over on the other side. If you have water shoes, I'd say bring them and a beach umbrella as there's no shade. The sand isn't too uncomfortable to lie in, there's just cigarette butts here and there. But I definitely recommend visiting for the day or even camping if you're into it!

Someone recommended this to me as a "sandy beach". It is a beach, and there is some sand, but the…read moreshore is probably a 50/50 mix of packed dirt and sharp pebbles. OUCH! The rock bottom extends out a couple of yards into the water, where it turns to clay. For swimmers, the rockiness is less of an issue - get past the rocks and swim/float your heart out, but the rocks along the shore make it significantly less enjoyable for babies. Running along the shore and splashing in the shallow water is painful without water shoes. For a true SANDY BEACH, check out Twin Points Park at Eagle Mountain Lake or Little Elm on Lake Lewisville instead. Twin Points is nicer, if you're deciding between the two. Pros: it's a pretty spot, with nice views. Plenty of parking - $5 per car. CREDIT/DEBIT ONLY. There is a dock for jumping off (which we didn't notice until we were leaving, sadly!). Not very crowded on a Saturday in August. Pretty clean, other than the bathrooms. Alcohol permitted (or if not permitted, certainly not regulated). Days swimming at the lake are SO MUCH FUN! Aside from the rocky shore, the only big negative was how gross the bathrooms were. We were there pretty early, so clearly they aren't cleaned daily. Also, the whoa zone is SO EXPENSIVE!!!! It looks fun but I cannot wrap my head around the fact that people pay that much to be there. It's $22 a person for ONE HOUR! Mon-Thurs they also offer a $50 all day pass. For our family of 7, I consider that cost prohibitive. Overall, it was a fun day at the lake, but Meadowmere Park is just not the best DFW has to offer.

If you've ever been in the distance runner/marathon run club circles you know that THIS is the time…read moreof year that runners like to flex by getting up at the booty crack of dawn to run 20 miles and post it on Instagram for ALL to see! There are tons of parks all throughout DFW to get your long run on. If you are up north in suburbia and are looking for a place to get your miles in, I highly recommend coming here! It's nice and peaceful and quiet plus safe and options for potty breaks in the area. The trails are beautiful and well kept and the residents are friendly! I recommend parking in the main park area where they have designated the public to park and start your run from there. Great sunrise views off of the creek and you can run throughout the neighborhood trails since it goes around the city. It's fairly flat but there are some opportunities for elevation if you venture out. If you are just looking for a safe park/playground you may bring the fam here too and I do think there is a pavilion. But there's tons of shade for the run and lots of fun fact/history out there about the park as well. Enjoy and keep on supporting local!

According to the map, it looks like it goes far south into Plano. Very quiet. Only saw a couple families walking, jogging, and riding bikes. We did come on a Friday morning though. It hasn't rained in awhile so the creeks are low. All paved, a couple bridges. I saw some wildlife too: squirrels, hawks, and egrets. We came in January so all the leaves had fallen off trees. I bet it is a sight to see during spring when everything blossoms. However, I imagine it being very hot during summer since there is no coverage throughout the path. Overall, nice, paved trail. Extremely well maintained.
