Plan for stair if you eat there in picnic area, some outside seating next to entrance. Had the chili Mac and cheese, very good Mac and cheese but the chili needed a little spice. Everything prepped in to go containers, you order at counter grab your food and go home or outside, service is fast and food is good quality. I've been meaning to try this place based on others reviews and proximity to home/work. I was looking for "cold" food given the heat and this offered that with an extensive menu! Both the chicken salad sandwich and ham and cheese were incredible. Very generous portions and ingredients were fresh, both breads and the lettuce/tomato etc were top notch. I did not see it as pricey...nothing anywhere is cheap these days but you get what you pay for here! Five stars all around and I will be back for repeats and to try other items too! read more

This place is a primarily carry out place unless the weather is nice. When it is nice, they have lots of tables outside and a beautiful garden area. The service was decent but not the warmest. The food is good. I enjoyed my salad but my friend's jerk chicken sandwich was a highlight. It was on special. She had onion rings and enjoyed them. read more

Overall this is a nice establishment. The food is good and they have a really cute garden area where you can eat. The negatives are the people that take your order are not friendly or welcoming. Especially the young gentleman with dark hair. No hello and no thank you. Also, the seating on the small deck is infested with flies. The garden area was closed off for a private party so I ended up having a seat at one of the booths. Their garbage can was completely over-flowing and flies were all over place. I had to leave. I ordered a 2 meat / 2 cheese sub and man was my taste buds dancing . Their pastrami and corned beef were lean and flavorful. I added some Swiss and smoked Gouda topped with lettuce, pickles, mayo and mustard. Not only was this sub piled high with 2 meats it was very reasonable ($8.99). Ordered the beef tips, breast of chicken vesuvio, grilled vegetables, green beans with bacon and onion, mashed potatoes with gravy and stuffed mushrooms with sausage. I had a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo and it was very good, very balanced with a great ratio of mayo to meat and veggies. Usually it's drenched in mayo and no meat but it was great. My friends loved their steak sandwiches but didn't prefer the chimichurri sauce. And can't forget the chicken fingers. Definitely homemade and very delicious and great bang for your buck!!! We love getting lunch at this deli! The menu ranges from basic subs to loaded specialty sandwiches and burgers. As a vegetarian, I have a couple of good options to choose from. There are a couple of indoor seats, but the deli is so cramped that it's not the most comfortable setup. If more than a few people are waiting on orders, the space fills up quickly. Definitely one of the best burgers in the area. They are creative with a standard and ever changing daily menu and a burger of the month. It is clean inside, fresh ingredients, stubborn soda machine, great fries and onion rings. The only downside is that it is carryout. However they do have cute seating outside. I would definitely give their catering side a try next time we are looking to cater. Did notice on the visit today that they do have a fancy gourmet soda fountain (I forget the brand) and paper (maybe for hot drinks?) and styrofoam cups are available according to customer preference. If I wasn't just picking up just for me, I'd get some soup or some of the deli/pasta salads they have in the case. read more

I went to Spring Forest Deli during the weekday hoping to enjoy their fried chicken I had tasted at a catered event and they told me they don't have it every day all the time. I was trying to get them to tell me when they do have it, and the gal behind the counter could not give me a clear time. When I had tasted it last summer at a wedding shower in their beautiful outdoor garden, I thought it was the best chicken I ever tasted! Great ambiance in the garden. I live too far away from it to drop in again to check if they have the chicken that day. This review is based on a take out order. The Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich is unbelievable. The bread was so fresh. The veggies were crisp and clean. The chicken and sauce to fill the sandwich was properly proportioned and I could taste it's freshness. Can't wait to try more of their sandwiches. I also had a small chicken dumpling soup that was out of this world. The dumplings appeared to be made from scratch and were light and fluffy. The broth was properly seasoned without too much salt. Place has no indoor seating..fyi has some outdoor steering and a courtyard for eating nothing that will blow you away. Plenty of room in the covered outside area behind the Deli. Few people know how lovely and peaceful it is back there. They provided a great food and drink package and the grandkids could run around! I was deeply disappointed by this place. The reviews led me to believe this was a really good deli. The traffic in and out of the door told me the same. But I had the worst Italian sub of my life there. They literally took the meat that was obviously laid out in advance (Subway™-style), folded it in half, shoved it in a roll, and gave it to me with a little lettuce and greasy tomatoes sprinkled on it. I really wish I had taken a photo because it was a joke. The meat tasted fine, but the sandwich was sloppy and carelessly put together. There wasn't even any dressing on it. I guess they rely on the tomato relish or whatever they called it to do the job. It didn't. The atmosphere is very nice and the garden was a lovely place to sit and have lunch.
