We ordered for dinner. We ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza and an order of rigatoni with meat sauce with side salad. The Pizza was very good, but not a lot of sausage (a bit disappointing). The pasta was good, but just a note it's a small portion and meat sauce was not a hearty meat sauce but barely a meat sauce but tasted good. The side garden salad was very skimpy, but good. The house wine was a cheaper tasting cabernet not a full body with flavor, would not order again. I would give only 3 stars for service. Gave 4 stars because of the pizza. Not sure we would go again, unless in the area and wanted pizza. read more

Didn't want to write this review, but when your salad is the highlight of your meal, I had to. Some one suggested their "elegant" eggplant Parmesan.....NOT "elegant ".... bland and over breaded...CHICKEN VISUVIO was the absolute worst C/V I've ever eaten. Yellow mushy skin on the chicken, served in a watery mess of a sauce with no flavor. Again, as I said, this is some of the worst Italian food I have eaten in years. Been ordering sausage pizza since I moved to La Grange, about 6 years ago. Ordered one a few days ago and they've dramatically cut back on the amount of sausage on the pie. Raise the price a couple of dollars if you have too, don't degrade the quality of the food. I'm happy to pay a few dollars more for what I want. Excellent food at fair prices. The owner, Sam Pecoraro, was so nice, really outstanding. He forgot our appetizer at lunch and felt bad enough to offer to comp our entire lunch, AND we had a bottle of wine. I told him it was no big deal and we were happy to pay. He offered dessert on the house and we agreed. But the. He came back and again offered to comp our entire lunch. No way he should have felt that bad about a missed appetizer, but he cares so much that it told me all we needed to know about Sam as a person and him as a business owner. We didn't argue any further, but between the two of us we only had $50 in cash, which we left under the empty wine bottle. His personality and customer service will have me coming back even though I live in the city. The food and Sam are worth the drive. read more

This restaurant reminds me of the North End restaurants in Boston. It's situated in the Lagrange neighborhood. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious with plentiful portions. Nannette was our server and provided helpful suggestions, especially with the dessert. It's definitely worth a visit. read more

We had baked Mostaccioli and spinach lasagna for late Sunday lunch. They were stingy with the meat in the meat sauce but I appreciated the fresh spinach in lasagna. The ambiance was bright and comfortable at the same time. It looks like a family owned spot and we noticed a steady stream of people coming in to pick up their carry out orders. While the pizza seems pricy - the rest of the menu is reasonably priced. The lasagna is quite big and a " 2 mealer". The service is good.... After hearing such great reviews We were excited to try Antoninos for dinner. Special appetizer was stuffed artichoke which we immediately ordered. Very underwhelming. It was baked for so long it was dry and almost petrified. Minestrone soup was nothing as what I would expect a minestrone soup to be. My main dish was the spinach lasagna and my husband had the veal parmesan. Both dinners were fair at best. Should have stuck to the meat lasagna or maybe a pizza. read more

I haven't written a yelp review in over a decade but I felt the need to write a review about the terrible service and food we experienced here last weekend. We called to place a pizza order for pick up and were told it would be 30 minutes. My husband had to wait there an additional 60+ minutes until they actually handed him the pizza. It was clear that the order was missed - which is a frustrating but forgivable offense - but there was no real apology or ownership. Worst of all, after all that wait, our pizza was a mess. It was a sloppy soup and barely edible. We were so annoyed that he waited there for so long, that no one was honest about what was happening (they said the kitchen was backed up which is fine but why didn't they tell us that on the call so we'd show up at the appropriate time) and the end product was terrible. We've had Antonino's before but there are better places in the area so I do not anticipate we'll be returning there ever again after this experience. read more

Update.. tried the Chicken Limone, understood why it's popular. The sauce is delicious. The Scallops over linguine wasn't worth the price, and the scallops, though they gave plenty, were too small. Also one random penne pasta was found in the dish. Original review....Welcoming customer service. The mushroom & sausage ravioli with matarocco sauce is delis. The Italian beef sandwich was seasoned well and tender like homemade. Antonino's special salad was very fresh. Pizza is good, however the toppings could've been evenly spread throughout the pizza. We had been to Antonino's before but it's been quite some time, besides ordering pizza for carry out. Myself & my wife went in early Saturday night and were seated quickly. There were other tables that were sat after us, and it was pretty obvious that this restaurant has a lot of regular patrons, since it seemed that those that were familiar got immediate service and special care. There seemed no rhyme or reason as to who was serving whom; I had to ask different servers for different things to complete our meal, although "our" waitress started and finished us. The one saving grace was that the food was excellent, although it seemed overpriced for what you get. I guess I'll stick to carry out if even that. read more

I grew up in this area and just discovered this place. The food is amazing! It easily blows the other local popular Italian restaurants around. I am hooked on Antonino's now when I am looking to get my Italian fix. The staff was warm and professional and the place was comfortable and charming. My only advice would be to fix some of the tables that can be wobbly when trying to eat or drink on. This has definitely become a date night spot for me and my significant other. read more

The pizza is fine here, nothing extraordinary, and the place is very small. Unfortunately, we were very rudely treated by the wait staff. We asked the person at the register from the door if we could sit down at the only open table, and she waved us over. Another waitress came over and said that we could not just seat ourselves, as there might be a reservation for that table. We said that we would be happy to get up if that were the case. She said she would check. When she came back she said it was okay to stay there. Again she told us that we could not just sit down ( which we did not). Two minutes later another waitress came over and very aggressively asked us if we had a reservation for that table. We tried to explain that we had been told already, and it was checked, however she continued to scold us, telling us three more times that we are not allowed to seat ourselves. She was quite aggressive and angry at us, and would not listen to our explanation. There were so many other ways of being pleasant to us about our faux pas, but we now feel that this is not a place we will frequent again. read more

The food was delicious I ordered the Manicotti the cheese and sauces were perfectly balanced. The Pasta was the perfect texture with an excellent balance of cheese and sauce. You can choose your sauce; I chose the Vodka Sauce what a great choice. My husband ordered Gnocchi with the meat sauce; it was absolutely delicious.
