Ordered Christmas Eve catering chicken vesuvio, meatball tray, marinara pasta and side quart of sauce. Italian bread included and all were tasty and nicely presented. Customer service was excellent both when ordering and at time of pick up. Staff were right up front when I arrived and unasked helped carry everything to my car. Vesuvio was boneless chicken breast which we prefer as opposed to bone-in often offered at other restaurants. The chicken was very tender and great sauce although a little less onion was preferred for some. Meatballs and marinara sauce were perfect and Capri unexpectedly gave us additional sauce as a treat. I ordered through GrubHub chicken limone they sent me a different pasta but I talked to Grubhub since they deal with mistakes with your order ..but the restaurant made it right and remade my order, even threw in a dessert. This shows that they care about the feedback and want to make customers happy. I received my meal the way that it supposed to be and I can tell you that the chicken was very moist. The lemon sauce is a little oily for my liking but it did have a lot of lemon flavor And this meal could be shared for two people, they definitely make enough portions . If there are any problems contact the restaurant personally they're always willing to help to make things right because they care about their business and customer satisfaction. My husband and I love Capri-Burr Ridge. It's one of our favorite Italian restaurants to dine at, and we always ask for a favorite waiter Elton. Unfortunately with Covid, we haven't dined at a restaurant since March of last year. We've been supporting local businesses by ordering food for carry out or delivery. Last Saturday we ordered dinner for my 90-something parents and us. The food was excellent just as if we were dining at Capri... minus the ambience of course. LOL The food was delivered hot, everything was full of flavor and generous in portion sizes. I had the grilled seafood platter with calamari, octopus and shrimp over arugula. The dressing was on the side, but I didn't even need it and just squeezeD fresh lemon over it all. The seafood was grilled to perfection, not rubbery at all. My husband had the rigatoni arrabbiata with a side of meatballs. The arrabbiata was spicy! My husband loved it, but there was no way I could eat it as it was a little too spicy for me. The dinners all came with a side salad, except for mine since it was a salad. I asked for bread service along with our entrées and they fulfilled that request, too. Worst grilled chicken sandwich I've had in a long time. Bone dry chicken breast, no cheese, Mayo, mustard and I'm scared to death how it's going to be received by my gut! I'm wondering how long it had been sitting around at room temperature before it was served. Thought about throwing in the garbage but was so hungry and spent so much on it. Their homemade fries looked like they had been made last week and tossed into the fryer just before they were served. Not hot and super greasy. How do these places stay in business? Guy who placed my order a month ago was sweet his name was Ricky, and said he credit my acc under my number turns out they only credit 1 of the 3 items that was messed up in my order. Rigatoni with Vodka sauce was outstanding. Loved the pizza by the slice. The crust, sauce and cheese were all fabulous. The lunch special is 2 big pieces of pizza and a can of soda. I took the pizza back to my office and all my office friends said how good it smelled. I gave the second slice away and my work friend loved it, too. The bread is real Italian bread and quality. My impulse buy was the brownie. It did not disappoint.....it was like brownie batter in the form of a brownie. I loved it. My first time here and it's an A-OK for me. The pizza is Sicilian style so you can expect a thicker crust and dough which isn't my favorite of the pizza family. I also had a chicken parmigiana sandwich which was decent but kind of pricey at just under $10. It did include fries but thought I would get a larger sandwich for the price. I'll definitely be back to try some of the appetizers and dinners as it seems like this is where the value and quality look to be with all of the selections. One of my favorite restaurants when I'm in town, Capri has everything. Located at the corner of a strip mall this little Italian find is consistently great with awesome food and service. Head to the right and there is a little bar for people to hang out and watch some sports and just relax after work. There is a large eating area in the middle and yet even more seating as you move to the end and head over to the left. Capri is a great place for business gatherings as they take reservations and are always willing to serve some great food at a great pace. Thanks to yelp, I had a free check in offer for some bruschetta calabrese and followed it up with some kind of delicious chicken soup with egg and tortellini in it. Just a great warm up for the freezing cold outside. I got the Linguine with shrimp and marinara tonight. I have to say it was absolutely amazing in it's simplicity and purity. The shrimp were plump and huge which complimented the linguine which was perfectly cooked. The marinara sauce was very well put together and was not overly heavy or saturated. This is the thing about Capri that I really appreciate. Over anything else, it is the balance in the food, in the timing. I realized tonight that whenever I have a chance to go there, I always leave happy and feel great about what I had. Highly recommend. read more

Sorry, the foods weren't up to expectations. We started with Brochetta Calabrese over field greens. The cheese was Parmesan? The greens were wilted and oily. The chopped tomatoes tasted fresh, but with little spice/herbs = oily blah. My husband got the Linguini con clams. He said they tasted very buttery, while he spent most of the meal removing what looked like tiny pieces of the shell. My order was Veal Marsala, the meat was okay with lots of sliced button/white mushrooms. The sauce which amply covered the veal and mushrooms was thick and pasty and undercooked tasting = ugh! It was not the "light Marsala wine sauce" quoted from the menu. I've had some terrific meals from Capri and Capri Express, however, this one stunk from beginning to end. I ordered a bunch of different items from their menu because it was the first time for my family. I was pleasantly surprised that they were open and delivering after 9PM on a Monday! That is were it stops though. The baked clams were so full of breadcrumbs and no seasoning detected.,they were completely soggy and swimming in some weird sauce. I've never had baked clams served w/sauce. The stuffed artichokes were practically in a raw state, we couldn't even pull one leaf off! Again, they were jam-packed with soggy breadcrumbs and sauce! Yuck-o! Eggplant parmesan was extremely thin and barely there,no seasoning and served with shell pasta instead of spaghetti. The carbonara sauce had broken and was very curdled,and NO SEASONING! I believe that this restaurant is afraid to use salt .. I really wanted to like this place and we spent close to 100.00 on this dinner that was very disappointing .*****EDITED**Philip in management promptly phoned me to remedy the issues that I had. This has been my go-to place for carry out/delivery for many years. Favorites are the Calamari Friti with lemons. The pizza is really good pizza, with fresh ingredients and it really speaks because it is freshly made. The Vodka a La Penne is freshly made pasta. Also, great Arancini, which is a favorite. I can make it but it is a lot of work and Capri To Go does the job. I live a mile from there and the pizza delivered is always piping hot! The tomatoes, spinach, sausage and mushrooms ordered on a thin crust pizza. Delicious. Leftover 3 days later, was outstanding after a reheat in the oven. Service has always been great whether in line at the counter or on the phone.There are I believe four barstools at a counter, but they are usually full at lunch or dinner peak times. Please do not get this place confused with the Capri Ristorante, also in the same mall or the other Capri to go on Wolf Road in Indian Head Park. Not the same owners. FYI read more

I second Robbie's comment. All three of the pasta dishes we ordered were overloaded with olive oil. I ordered the pasta with sausage. I was expecting some nice cut pieces of sausage. Instead it was crumbled sausage that had no color. The meal was served in about four ounces of a watery-oil liquid. My kids' buttered pasta had no butter or seasoning and too much olive oil. The sauce on my wife's fettuccine Alfredo broke and it was smothered in uncooked olive oil. Even the garlic bread missed the mark (no garlic). So disappointing. read more

For a carb load that will have you ready to race in the Giro d'Italia, get your hands on that Pasta Carbonara! If seafood is your jam, Capri Express has got you more than covered... immerse your buds in some delicious Calamari Diavalo or Mussels Alla Capri! You really can't go wrong... anything you choose will have you chanting "Viva Italia" into the night, unable to resist the guido fist pump that is likely to ensue. If you happen to hear some Vivaldi tunes swirling around in your head post-Italian meal from heaven, don't be alarmed. This is normal; Italy is a part of you now. I took a 23 And Me test before my meal at Capri Express and I was mostly German and Polish. After the best meal of my life, I retook the test and I'm legit 100% Italian now. Our food here recently within the past 3 weeks and the order didn't arrive for 2 hours they drop the food off at the wrong location and I resent the order and tried to give me a 15% discount on next order versus more and the top it off I spent over $110 I cannot believe this restaurant did this to it a great customer from the local area Burr ridge or anywhere else for that matter I guess they lost my business forever I'm just sad that I spent so much money o......
