My favorite store in Austin. New clothing from the past season or two at discounted prices. I hate paying full retail, and as much as I like consignment, there's just something about buying new-new clothes. As opposed to new-used clothes. The only down side is not always having your size available, as was the case with a red pair of YSL Tribute sandals that came in at a size 9.5, which is not my size. Here you will find an eclectic mix of clothing, shoes and accessories. Often there are designer labels at a bargain price, but it may just be a "one of a kind" item available only in one size. It's like an upscale boutique version of shopping for clothes at Ross or Marshalls. I wear the things I buy from this store over and over - not because I have nothing else to wear, but because love the items so much! Terrific place! The owner is so nice and has great taste~ Their dresses make me feel like a star. The price is also very reasonable.

The ladies who run this place are very nice but the prices are too high and the style is very particular - think middle aged ladies from Houston or Dallas. Definitely not for the younger, edgier client. Regardless, I live in the neighborhood and have been in a handful of times. One time I found DKNY tank top that I had just seen at Ross priced for $10 MORE than the Ross price. I probably won't be back. read more

Today I went in and was being helped by a girl, and then another customer came in that she obviously knew and totally blew me off. I really like this store---a lot. They have so many labels you can't get anywhere else in Austin (at least not that I've come across) and they are sold at discounted prices. This is a win/win. The girls who work there are super helpful at making suggestions based on what you've already taken an interest in, but they're not pushy (which is nice---can't take pushy when I'm shopping for clothes. Spring Frost is one of my favorite stores in Austin. I have found a number of unique beautiful pieces that fit really well at prices well below the original prices. The layout is really clean, and it's easy to find what you're looking for with the current size/color/clothing type organization. The staff is always helpful without being overly attentive, and they know their stock really well. I don't always find something that works for my body type at a price that I like, but I've found enough amazing pieces here that it will always be one of my favorite spots (and relatively well-kept secrets) in Austin. read more

Love! I popped into Spring Frost today for the first time. I've seen it a million times and didn't know what it was. Thought it was a thrift thing. SHOCK! It is actually a really wonderful store owned by a local Austin woman whose name is Spring Frost! She buys closing at the end of the season, and then she can sell things for less than the regular retail price. She was there, and she was an utter delight. She was handing out mimosas and the store smelled wonderful like a really fancy French perfume. Oh, and the store was filled with people around my age of not 22. So it was refreshing for me to not be stuck in urban outfitters with a bunch of beautiful young teenagers, and trying to stuff myself into extremely tiny things that don't fit at all. But...l digress. Back to Spring Frost: Kind of the same strategy as Marshall's or Ross except these are only really nice things from good modern American designers. Diane von Furstenberg, Trina Turk, Kate Spade, etc. Absolutely beautiful clothing, shoes, jewelry, and accessories. I'm not kidding. I am super picky and weird about clothes and there was nothing in the store I didn't like. It's not cheap. So you might buy a blouse for $50 that retails for $200. Or a dress for $250 that retails for 500. So - not CHEAP, but a great VALUE if you value really good quality. And most surprising of all, I tried on a bunch of things and they looked great. I bought two blouses and I am in love. I highly recommend this place. read more

Check out this store! The owner really knows the merchandise and how the clothes and shoes fit, so she can steer you towards items you might otherwise overlook. I've bought some wonderful clothing items from great designers that I would never dream of purchasing elsewhere due to cost. The selection is not enormous, but it is carefully selected so there is no junk to sort through - just lots of quality items at great prices. True what others say except: this Saturday I was not greeted, nor asked if I needed anything nor shown a dressing room. Then- while in dressing room- others were offered mimosas... how nice! I went in to Spring Frost this afternoon looking for a dress to wear to a wedding. The service was tremendous. I was greeted by Katherine who spent an hour carefully listening to my concerns and picking out fabulous dresses for me. I got down to two that I loved - one was $150 and one was $30. Katherine recommended the $30 dress because she thought it looked better on me. That's cool. I'm a very self-conscious size 12 and am used to boutiques that have literally nothing that will fit me, but Spring Frost had a TON of cute, flattering dresses for me to try. Katherine helped me find a matching pair of shoes, earrings, and a clutch to go with my fabulous new dress for a grand total of $160. Very very cool place and old fashioned good service. My friend told me about this place, and I finally found it! They have a great selection of bags, shoes and clothing. There's no clothing for "full-figured" ladies like myself, but they're still cute clothes. What struck me the most was the girl behind the counter and her sunny disposition. I think her name is Spring, so her name is a testament to her attitude. She was cheerful and helpful and not at all judgemental. Unfortunately, I find that attitude at a lot of designer shops, even a certain consignment shop nearby DCH. Anyway, I love this shop and have planned on buying something once a month. read more

Oh my goodness, I will never shop anywhere else! I am not a competent shopper so I have avoided shopping for a couple of years and my wardrobe is on life support. I came here and wow! I did not have to do anything. The woman who helped me picked out three gorgeous, versatile outfits, and educated me on different accessories/colors/styles for different looks. Though I spent more today on clothes than I did all of 2012, it was a great investment in some awesome pieces I can wear to work and out on the town and also an investment in fashion education! I just got back from brunch with a group of friends who are always dressed fab. I'm by far the least fashion conscious in the group. Everyone raved about my beautiful Kate Spade sandals and my pretty flowing unique dress - both purchased at Spring Frost probably two years ago. Every time I walk into Spring Frost I am treated so very well. I am not a big purchaser - I shop when I need something specific. The amazing women who work there listen carefully to my needs - I tell them what I want to spend and they never try to up sell me. I am not the easiest to dress because I am overweight and they can always find me something flattering and get me beautiful designer shoes to go with it. No, the prices aren't DSW, but neither are the shoes! They are on trend and very high quality. Not necessarily the shoes I would wear while running errands but the shoes I would wear to lunch or dinner or any occasion I want to shine!
