I started ordering from them last fall. At the time I was informed that there's a satisfaction guarantee that all plants you sell will live and grow because it took longer than expected for them to ship. This spring two of the players I ordered did not come up so a few weeks ago, I sent in a request about them. I was told I'd get a refund/credit. Now, weeks later, I've yet to see that and I was just informed that I may not get my refund for 30 days because of a "backlog". First, no company that has pride in good customers service would expect a refund to take that long to be issued and received. Second, if there's that much of a backlog for refunds, it's very concerning about the quality of product you're providing.  I'm very disappointed in your customer service and I will be using other nurseries from now on. read more

I placed an order on March 11th 2026 and the ad said any order at $125 or over was due free shipping. The sum of my order was a little over $142. I noticed the sum included a shipping charge therefore the order sum increased to 176.02 due to taxes and the shipping cost. On the same day I contacted customer services and I was advised that the $21.95 could not be removed from the bill. They told me I didn't receive free shipping because I did not subscribe. I was told to cancel the order so I did. I later learned the order was re-opened on March 13th without my approval. Ever since I have sent messages and no one has responded. I filed a dispute with my credit card company who advised they have reached out to the company and have had no response. I've sent several messages not to send the order but I received it about 2 weeks ago. To this date I have not opened the package while hoping to resolve this issue. At this point I am willing to keep the order if I am credited the shipping costs. I have to wonder about a company that is willing to dig there heels in about a 21.95 shipping cost for an order of $142. They have also chosen to not communicate with me or my credit card company. Anyone ordering from this company had better know they get their money up front and takes a looooong while to ship your merchandise. In addition they are not transparent with their policies therefore they are not customer friendly. read more

I placed an order for the first time was Springhill nurseries. When the box arrived, it was dented badly. I had ordered two lavender plants and one cone flower . I only received one lavender plant and my cone flower was mangled. I have ordered from heirloom roses and Proven Winners and my plants came in great shape. I can't imagine anyone ordering from this company more than once. I have just sent an email to their customer service department and I hope they can make this right. read more

I received two dead plants from Spring Hill nursery. This nursery sent plants to California in a plastic bag without ventilation in dry peat moss. The roots and leaves were withered dry. The plants should be shipped in four inch pots rooted and happy and ready to plant to avoid any shipping or vulnerable plant issues. Spring Hill did not respond to my first online complaint email or my second in a timely manner so I had to call to make my complaint and was told I could get a refund. I eventually did get a refund of $4.99 for a $9.99 plant and $7.49 for the $14.99 plant and no reimbursement for the shipping that was the reason the plants came dead. I will never purchase from this Nursery again. read more

I spent several hundreds of dollars for basically nothing!... If I could give zero zero's I would. The very weak plants arrived in the bitter cold for zone 5. I had paid people to help me plant, that cost is lost. The bare roots were too dry and the whole plants were too sickly for even my green thumb to bring back from the dead... I will be contacting the company because they claim 100% guarantee but that has yet to be seen. If that is anything like their plants, I'm not expecting too much help. I have learned these nurseries send out their orders - AFTER - the in house customers have bought their share. Mail orders get the left overs after the end of their season at the greenhouse. That explains the late shipments and arrivals.... In the future I will buy healthy plants locally and not waste my time and energy. I may not have the variety but I will have live plants. TERRIBLE - DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. 1. Dead plants - I spent 18.99 on a plant which arrived dead, see the attached picture. )-: 2. Shipping time - 5/28 I ordered 7 plants which the online cart said were ' in stock' and 'shipping now' The website says orders ship within 5 days.. 6/9 they informed me that two of the plants were out of stock They did not ship my plants until 6/10. I did not get the plants until 6/15. That wasted 10 days of valuable growing time in prime growing season. 3. Bad service - The customer service center is in India and the reps are ill informed, unhelpful and combative. When I called about the slow shipping they want dot fight with me and told me orders " always take 3 weeks" and ' I had ordered at the end of the season" ( spring is not the end of the season!) 4.
