After being ignored at two consignment shops, I walked in here with NO self esteem. Inside of 10 minutes, I learned more about interior doors than I could care to know. I was given catalogs with all the options I could hope to have and without asking, I was given prices from least to most (without asking. Note to sales, the customer doesn't want to have to ask the price but you KNOW that's one of the three things they want to know). That is customer service! Without judgement, the sales clerk showed me hardware for the doors I wanted and told me which was the least expensive and which was more expensive and explained WHY. Now, I know what sales is about, but you know you're not going to sell door hardware by making your customer feel crappy (that only works for women's cosmetics). Anyway, I walked out of here feeling totally stoked about doors and hardware and they have kitchen and bathroom porn too. I ran into another couple who were returning to buy some interior doors too. We had a grand time at the door display. Kudos to Tagues. Clearly, they know how to treat their customers and even people like me who are not customers yet.

They were the 2nd lowest price of 4 vendors, but their warranty and recommendation from my friend's dad were deciding factors. He's a retired general contractor, and when I told him I needed my roof replaced, this was the company he told me to go to. If you look at their reviews here, 1 is for "bad driving" and 2 are for missed appointments or miscommunication. The rest are all 5 stars. People love to knock a company online, but rarely vouch for them when they do a good job. When I went under contract with them, it took them 6 weeks to get their crew out here. Do you think that was because they don't work hard? Or is it because they have such a steady workload... On top of that, I was talking to the project manager and he mentioned he started doing doors and windows, I told him about a janky bedroom door that had never closed in the 3 years we'd lived here, and he took his tools and in 10 minutes fixed it for me. No extra charge, just a medium sized company, doing things the right way. I will be considering them for my next project, because apparently they do decks too. I finally found Smart Shield and was contacted almost immediately after requesting a callback. The owner, Bryan, was so incredibly kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. He helped customize a plan for our home based on what would remedy our current situation and prevent future issues. The process to get started was easy (and very digital which earns extra bonus points in my book) and it was a few weeks until installation. The installation went great and I've never had an issue with the windows. It went so well, that we had Smart Shield come back and put in new doors for us, more window replacements, and replace our siding. While that was a bigger job, the process was just as wonderful. About 4-6 weeks later, Blake contacted me and scheduled for installation. Robert and his team did an excellent job installing the windows. I had a total of 11 windows installed on the first floor of my property in Nov 2023. They completed the job in 1 and half days. It could have been done in one day but the sunset in November didn't allow. Some of the pictures of the completed job are shown below. Really, everyone was a pleasure to work with. We called, they answered, and we got an appointment promptly and smoothly. Our experience then continued with Chris Burton, who answered all of our questions and was very communicative. He gave us a price for our two bow windows that was less than the other local company we got a quote from, and with a better warranty, and he seemed a lot more invested in our business than the other guy. We ended up asking them to do two bow windows, an additional five bedroom windows, and our back door, which was falling apart. Mike came out to measure and he was right on the dot, time wise. Their estimated lead time of ten weeks or so was about right, and then Mike and his team (Travis, Cash) came out to do the install, which they completed in a few days. The windows look great! And they seem quieter and way more insulating than the old ones. Hopefully they stay that way for a long time. My only minor complaints are that the guys trampled my flowers a bit and also gave us bow windows that are "deeper" than our old ones (they stick out past where the old ones ended). As long as they don't fall out or put strain on my house, though, I'm actually kind of enjoying the deeper window because I can fit more houseplants there. It does look a bit funny though (see photos). Also, we opted to stain the wood trim around the windows and the guys were kind enough to install the wood, wait till we'd stained the pieces, then come back to do the last bit of caulking. My dad told me, "If you already paid them, they're not coming back," but he's apparently never worked with a company like Thermal! Also, Danielle, their scheduler, was very responsive and fun to chat with. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an honest company with good prices.
