Getting my voice back on track for music I have in the works and decided to work with Tom. When I…read morefound out that he use to be Beyoncé's vocal coach, I was sold! Lol Tom and his wife Colleen are simply the best. He will help you with your musical goals and his techniques will help strengthen your voice and increase your vocal stamina. He is so encouraging and honest. He doesn't promise everyone stardom-if it happens it happens- but he will make sure you reach the full potential of your vocal ability. If you follow and practice the breathing, control, and vocal tips that he teaches, I promise with time your voice will get stronger and you will be able to sing on another level. I'm been singing since I was 2 years old, and had a group with my sisters. Through the years I developed incorrect techniques that always left my voice strained and tired after performances, after working with Tom I am developing ways to cure those bad habits that are not conducive to proper singing. He guides you with the right way to sing a song and your voice will thank you for it. He's sessions are $175 for 50 minutes and you book through Colleen. He records the session and sends them to you so you can study and practice and see your progress. The studio is located in the spring branch area. So many of his students have successful careers in music. I hope I'm next :)

Previous to that she had 4…read moreyears of vocal lessons with someone else but during the four month with Tom, she has learned more than in all the previous years! Tom immediately knew where she struggled and how to fix it, where she wanted to be with her voice and how she can get there. From lesson one everything has improved: her voice, her warm up, her confidence in her voice and her overall performance. Today she performed three songs at his show case and she did great (and so did his other students). We are so happy that we made the switch, even though it was hard to leave the previous teacher (one gets connected after so many years). Tom's knowledge of voice and vocal technique is amazing and if you are serious about being a singer. He is the right person to go to!

I looked around and this place seemed good so I called for information and got a call back super quick. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful... and optimistic. Haha... The place is tucked in a neighborhood down a small street, but it has a private parking lot. There are 4 lessons a month billed monthly. I wasn't sure what to expect with my daughter being the unknown variable because of her age, but the teacher was professional and nice. However, my nugget stopped being excited as soon as she learned she couldn't just "play" freestyle and had to listen to an adult. So, even though kids as young as 4 can start one-on-one lessons... it's up to the individual. Definitely not for mine. We decided to stay but switched over to a group music class geared for toddlers - they have 2, one for 3 and the other for 4 year olds where they learn music basics while having fun. They let us take free trial classes of both until we could decide. My nugget's in the 3 year old one because she never had classroom experience before and she seems to enjoy it - definitely more than the one-on-one lesson, for sure. If she's still interested in a few years, we'll revisit piano but for now, the group lessons are good. The classes are not exactly "cheap", but it is as expected. The teachers are all knowledgeable and engaging, though I feel bad sometimes. My nugget is free spirited and... wild if she's in the mood. The group classes have gotten larger, which is noticeable since they're in a small room, but attendance fluctuates. So far, it isn't a huge cause for concern - what with the pandemic and all. Overall, I will definitely look here for music lesson needs and we are pretty happy so far.

The building faces 1960, like everything else, but you turn in after the building itself and park in the back of the shop. The entrance is also in the back with the parking lot. This is a huge, very clean, nicely organized store. If you have kid's in band, you already know that there are different books on instruments for different schools. I needed to get a book for my God son who is in middle school. I walked in & was greeted by Jeff, the manager at H & H. As soon as I explained what instrument I needed a book for, he asked, "What school?" I told him & he had the book in my hand & was on the way to checking me out. I don't know squat about instruments, or anything that would be in that store. What I do know is that my oldest son wants to play the snare, but his school told him he needs to wait until High School. So Jeff offered me several pamphlets on private classes, & also wrote down names & numbers of a couple of extra people I can contact. I thought that was great.....after all, he could've just rung me up & went on to the next customer. I give H & H 5 stars!!! They earned every one by having a huge stocked store that is extremely clean & has a friendly & helpful staff. I strongly suggest this store if you are in the area.
