There are quite a few in the area, but Vitality is just off the busy touristy street and I like that the prices seemed just right. Additionally, I was able to find parking right up the next block which was a score because it was raining! I had a 1 hour back massage with Tina and it was superb. Just the right amount of pressure, I was relaxed and at the same time I knew she could tell what I needed. I misled myself on the price, I thought it was 38$ but that's for foot massage. It was 50$. Not only was this not a massage it left me covered in bruises and so sore I couldn't sit down. DO NOT GO HERE. They are great if you want to get slapped and bruised but if you are looking for a relaxing massage go somewhere else. The entire 90 minutes I stated I was in pain, I asked her to be more gentle and instead she got harder. I went with a friend who's said she had the same experience and was bruised upon leaving. On top of being brutally elbowed and slapped (with an open hand) I opened my eyes at one point to see that they had opened the curtains to the hallway so that they were wide open.... with my bare body on display for all customers who walked by. A customer in a different room could also be heard constantly telling their masseuse to be more gentle to the extent that they left early and ended their massage. When this place was called day glow spa on pell st. they were great, I had gone for years, but I will NEVER be returning as this was not a massage. It was 90 minutes of being abused. At one point they were legitimately pinching my neck until I said to stop, in which they repeated it 2 more times.... pinching. I'm left needing ice and Advil just to sleep. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR COMPROMISE YOUR WELL BEING. read more
