We've spent $500 on their top-of-the-line reverse-osmosis water filtration system. A year later, we've spent another $300 on replacing all the filters (as indicated in the user manual). Shortly thereafter our system began vibrating heavily. The vibration was so loud, it resonated throughout all the pipes in our home. We were able to isolate the issue to the system itself, as turning off water supply to the RO system instantly stopped the vibration. Springwell was unwilling and unable to help us. Their only suggestion was to replace all of the filters ($300+). No thanks. Any company that resorts to sales tactics when a technical problem arises is not a reputable one. Today, the system stopped working altogether. No water coming out of the RO system. I caution others to stay away from this fraudulent merchant. They sell overpriced junk and do not stand by it when it fails. read more

Be careful of this company's deceptive advertising and salespeople. They are flat out liars. If you buy after reading this......it's your own fault.....I didn't thank god. They advertise a price and then use your email to send you coupons for discounts. When you try to apply the coupon, it won't work. When you call the company, the salesguys say it's already in the price (which it's not and the same price as it always was). I can't see buying a product that does this and hires salesguys that are liars. I told him this would leave a negative review and the salesman said he didn't care cause he would just deny it!!!!! Purchased a whole house system with saltless softener and UV. Before set up we were at 350 TDS. After installing, it's gone up to 450-480! It also tastes bad and smells bad. When I contacted them, they said that the levels "may go up or down", and that these filters don't remove TDS. What? So I paid over $5k (plus another $3k for installation) for my water to get worse? According to Google, TDS levels between 300-500 are "acceptable with a noticeable taste". At 350 it tasted awful! Hence why we purchased the system! Now they want me to purchase an R/O to go with it (for another $500+) for "drinking water". According to their site, the system I purchased should allow me to have good drinking water from every tap, not just one that has the R/O. After my first two inquiries, they have chosen to ignore me. Most overpriced pile of crap I've bought. The warranty is also a joke. I will have to remove the entire system to do so which will cost me another $3k. This is a total scam. This was a very expensive lesson. Needless to say I will buy ANYBODY else's R/O system! read more

I dodged this bullet. They don't tell you upfront that you'll need to buy their water test and wait two weeks to get the results, but they do charge you immediately and don't deliver. I had a plumber lined up and everything ready. Seeing this behavior before delivery, I canceled my order. Companies rarely behave BETTER after they have made the sale. Perhaps this was a fine company once, but they're now owned by Fortune Brands -- just another roll-up that will cut costs and service. Sad. read more

2 Star are for the companies willingness to work with you when there are issues. I recently ordered combo whole house water softener along with the R.O system. Their water softener works great, no issues there. I was having issues with the MOEN R.O that came, it was not properly filling the full gallon, was dispensing the water with very low pressure and the tank would constantly vibrate. My plumber installed everything and went to my house several times to attempt to fix the issue. We both called MOEN who was no help in finding the issue they actually blamed us for installing it into a refrigerator water line, (many R.Os are installed this way and it doesn't say anywhere that we shouldn't do this) and then Springwell who gave a couple troubleshooting recommendation but nothing we hadn't already tried, ultimately they said just call MOEN. At this point it has been about a week of bad pressure, constant vibrating and no real attempts to fix anything so I requested a return. The return was approved but the return policy is not fair. I had to pay $130 to return the R.O from shipping fees and a 25% restocking fee. I would completely understand these costs being my responsibility if I changed my mind or didn't like the system for whatever reason. These were not the case, I was never given the opportunity to replace anything parts, the system or anything. I was just getting run arounds and no solutions for a product that was not working properly. Its not fair to sell faulty products to your customers and then charge them more when they want to return it. I cant imagine how much worse it would have been if the softener wasn't working either. Staff seems nice and like they're just doing their jobs, but I would not purchase from this company again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone, simply because of their terrible customer support policies. Believe them when they tell you: the cost of a return is entirely on you. This means that you'd better have an understanding of whether you are ordering the right system, whether it can be reasonably installed at your property, etc, before placing the order. In my case, I ordered a Springwell water filter + softener combination. A plumber came out and told us that we ought not to drink water from a non-salt-free system (I suppose I ordered the wrong one despite spending time reading through the website), that he'd need to install a French drain to deal with the salinity, and that there would be other incompatibilities + an overall much larger (and more expensive) project than I'd anticipated. Customer service was firm about it being my own cost and problem to have these heavy boxes returned. I'd hoped that they'd meet me partway, at least, since my own takeaway from the site turns out to have been overly simplistic ("all you need to provide is your own piping and fittings to attach to the system"!) The things wouldn't fit in my car and so the total cost after UPS pickup approached $600 + a good deal of frustration. read more

We requested for technical support, this company did not take their responsibility of its product and could not fix the issue. They also denied to replace the system or refund. It is a fraudulent company, dnt buy the product from them. I had to throw the system. read more

The system is intimidating but their technical support team is amazing, they actually return your calls and walk you through every concern. Patient and kind. Well worth the money and the technical support team makes me feel very confident I can manage the system without paying someone every time I have an issue. read more

Do yourself a favor and buy local. Paying more for something doesn't always indicate it's better. The unit broke in 6 weeks. The poor design on the head unit and cheap craftsmanship led to me stripping the brine draw attachment trying to troubleshoot the original reason it wasn't working. So without ever addressing the original problem they just blamed me for breaking it. It wasn't working before I touched it. For $600 they agreed to send me a new head unit after already spending $1700. Not worth it. Buy a local unit without bluetooth, it will actually work and you'll be happier. read more

We purchased a Springwell Water Softener System (Salt Based Water Softener System - 4-6 Bathrooms) on July 21, 2023. The system was received via Federal Express on July 25th, and we installed it on Saturday, July 29th. Installation was fairly simple, but to be fair, my husband knows what he is doing with plumbing and electrical work, so it was easy for him. The problem was, the brine tank never filled with water. It didn't fill before, during, or after the regen process. It was completely dry. First issue - Springwell tech support is not open on a weekend. Huh? Ok. I then did multiple internet searches looking for a solution from this company. There's nothing. The installation video that they sent didn't address this issue either. I went online and spoke with the "chat"who couldn't help as they are only there for sales (open on a weekend, go figure). I sent an email to John Strickland advising that the brine tank did not fill with water. He responded late Sunday evening that I needed to call tech support on Monday. In the meantime, I went back to researching the Fleck system, which is significantly cheaper, been around longer, has great reviews, and they are actually NSF certified, not just using NSF components like this company. There are tons of troubleshooting videos online from Fleck. Tons of different links you can click "if this" or "if that" happens. I'm really kicking myself now. We paid substantially more for the Springwell system, and we can't even use it. I left a Google review, as well as a BBB review, both since deleted for this updated review, and we called tech support on Monday, as instructed. The tech agent told my husband "Oh, that happens ALL THE TIME. There is air in the tank that is prohibiting the brine tank from filling with water. You just have to run the regen cycle 3 times and that should clear the air out of the tank". What?! This happens ALL the time, and you don't include this information in your instructions, your installation video, or your website?! Ok. My husband took a day off from work to deal with this nonsense, but ok. We ran the regen cycle 2 more times, and on the 3rd try, the tank filled with water. Jump ahead to Thursday, August 3, 2023, and the owner of the company files a scathing response, both to my google review and my BBB review. The kicker - HE LIES. He had the audacity to state "Customer was called first thing Monday 7/31/23 to go over our return policy as she is entitled to our 6 Month Money Back Guarantee. As of this post which is August 3rd 2023 the customer still has not returned our phone calls or our email requests." Huh?! They never called me. They never emailed me. Mind you, this is THURSDAY, and we called tech support that previous Monday and resolved the issue (they didn't even have a record of that?!). I was appalled that an owner of a company would lie like this this. On the Google review, he asked "Are you ok? We are worried because we haven't heard from you. Are you a competitor?". If the behavior was not so disgusting, it would be funny. Yesterday, Friday, August 4, 2023, I received the first and only phone call, followed by an email, from Mario Romano with tech support. He stated he has tried to reach me multiple times (no, he hasn't). I responded to his email and advised him that the operational issue was resolved on Monday, July 31st, when we called tech support. I also advised that it would have been helpful for them to include in their instructions how to resolve an issue that "happens all the time". Do yourself a favor, and do not buy from this company. Anyone who can blatantly lie like this cannot and should not be trusted. It's a shame because I live in a fairly new community, with over 2500 homes, and very hard water. Several neighbors have already asked me which system we bought. After showing them the responses that the owner of the company put on the Internet, they decided to look elsewhere. The owner and tech support lying issues aside, the system is working now, and the water is softer, hence the 2 stars instead of 1. I still cannot recommend anyone using this company.
