We booked the Fitzgerald, but after seeing the amazing bathroom in the Zelda, we switched. The Zelda is the only room on the top floor, so the privacy is nice. The tub and steam shower were amazing. They had a vase with flowers and a handwritten card for our anniversary. Willy and Shawnie are the most hospitable hosts and truly want you to enjoy your stay. We enjoyed latte macchiatos from their fancy coffee machines and a variety of delicious cookies that Shawnie bakes daily. We loved the Saturday evening bluegrass from 6-7. Breakfast each morning was delicious. We have stayed at a handful of B&Bs, and this was the friendliest and most comfortable one so far. We will be returning.

Willy and Shawnie love what they do and it certainly shows. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and right at home. Willy took us on a tour of each room. Every room has the most fabulous bathroom. Roman tub, steam showers, whirlpool tubs. Impeccably kept ! The Inn is spotless. We stayed for 3 nights and we didn't want to leave !! The breakfasts that we were served were some of the best food we have ever eaten. Each meal had a fruit bowl that was an ever changing color each day. Main course was protein rich and of course there was a sweet ending. The poached egg creation that we had on the last morning was easily the BEST egg dish I have ever had (and we do a lot of traveling). I cannot leave out their Cadillac of all coffee machines. Expresso, cappuccino, latte.........all at the press of a button. Unlimited homemade cookies are always available as well as soft drinks and bottled water. Bluegrass on the lawn on Sat evening. Then when you go behind it for the ceremony space it has the most gorgeous view. It is surrounded by greenery and hilltops it is picturesque. The staff was so kind and helpful. We booked the Silverbell Tree room directly through the Waverly, totaling $595 for two nights. The Waverly charged an additional $17.99 for a booking fee. Unbeknownst to us, there is evidently a "late check-in fee" of $42.70 for checking in after 8 pm. (Our first time EVER to be charged for a late check-in.). We couldn't find record or notification of this charge anywhere, however. Trying to keep a long review short; $655 total for two nights in a semi-clean room that didn't include refreshment of bath towels/cloths or any housekeeping after night one was a bit disappointing. The claw foot bath tub is ok, but feels less than clean. (Showering is kind of gross since the curtains don't leave much room to keep your own rear end off of them, let alone whoever's rear was rubbing on them before.). The bed was great. The breakfast was ok. The coffee was ok. Overall the experience was sub-par compared to other historical venues that have accommodated us. I hope you have better luck than we did or look elsewhere.

The accommodations were great. The vibe was retro and family-oriented. Great place to hang your hat and come back to after a day of hiking and sight-seeing. The staff were personable, fun, and extremely helpful with input on what local sights and activities there were nearby. I ended up having a far better time than I would've had camping! Staff is observing COVID precautions while still maintaining a great posture with customers. 10/10 recommend this motel and all the area has to offer, COVID or no COVID.
