Came with waffle fries and was around 10.70 ish total. Some friends got drinks and I would say they weren't that great. I have been a regular at the Springfield Brewery for many years. Many years I have even paid for my own mug in the mug club. I took several friends there for lunch today who had never been there before. I wanted to introduce them to the various beers available. I ordered a sampler flight, as I have done in the past. When I got the bill the sampler cost $17.25! That was two or three times as much as a taste of the various beers should cost. I complained to my server and she acted like there was something wrong with me for not thinking that I should pay $17.25 for a taste of their current beers. I will never take a group there again! read more

We came at lunch time and got the classic mac with a side salad and the Buttermilk fried chicken and fries with the house made ranch, honey mustard and homemade root beer to drink! Stopped in this brewery and didn't have the perfect experience for dining but wanted to give massive props to the manager and our server. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food, but to be fair, they brewery had a large party just before us causing some ripples in the service. The manager came to us to explain and apologize several times and was doing everything to correct the mistake and delays. He really went above and beyond to make it right for our table and when our food came out, it was worth the wait as we enjoyed Robust Margherita Pizza on cauliflower crust! It was absolutely delicious! Thank you to the manager (didn't get his name) for treating us with respect and kindness and working to make the delays better for our experience as well as our server who was caught in the middle trying to keep his table happy. read more

We had originally scheduled a 30th birthday party in May, but it had to be postponed due to Covid-19. We had that celebration on 8/22, and I was unsure of what to expect due to the covid restrictions. Katie the shift manager was fabulous in helping with set up and all other logistical needs, minimizing our time with that and allowing us to enjoy the party. Our waitress was Beverly, and this young lady had the patience of a saint! She was absolutely fabulous at anticipating every need or want. I only hope our children are that professional and friendly in their careers. Scott, the banquet coordinator bent over backwards to accommodate all of our whimsical desires and still keep our little party on budget. We were on a Road Trip through Several States and decided to hit up some Breweries and Brew Pubs along the way. We ventured into Springfield, MO our first time visiting. We weren't greeted for several minutes when we first sat down and then the Server looked at me and then 30 Seconds later after looking at me said "he didn't see me there". For me that's always an automatic deduction upon entering a Restaurant. Hostess showed us to our Seat. We shouldn't have to wait a long time to be greeted by a Server. With that said the Beer Selection and Taste was OUTSTANDING. And the Frito Pasta Entree was a BIG Hit with me. I miss Frito Pie and for them to serve it with Pasta like that was unique and delicious. We would probably return if going through Springfield in spite of the First Impression. read more

I don't live in Springfield Mo. but do live and hour and change away, had a doctors appointment and afterwards was super hungry, my husband and I have been here a few times, the first time being the best as my son introduced his future wife to us here, so it hold some good memories, now we just go for the atmosphere and Max and Cheese!! The Max and Cheese was perfect, our salad was beautiful but the ranch had way too much salt and the waiter was attentive when I brought it to his attention. Long story short, we had a great experience and decided to catch a movie afterwards, I noticed I had left my phone at the brewery once the movie was over, we headed back to the brewery to retrieve it and not only did they have it, they had (without us noticing) already sent my husband a message on messenger stating to please come back and get my phone they were holding for me!! We had a 50th birthday party on the landing upstairs and it was great!! The food was delicious and we always love the beers at the SBC. The landing area was perfect as we had kids and adults for the party and we could spread out and the kids could play games. The food was also delicious! Not every beer that I try here is a hit but I've had very few "bad" beers from SBC. In fact, their Wheat-Wine (I may be messing up that name) from several years back is still one of the best seasonal offerings I have ever had from ANY brewery! I've never had any bad food here, though I've had the weekend breakfast menu than I have the regular lunch and dinner menu. Their menu is a little on the pricey side but most things I've ordered have been worth the extra couple of $$. The breakfast pancakes they used to carry with bacon and sausage cooked in the batter were superb and their new breakfast pizza with rosemary is becoming a new favorite. read more

*** pretzel review only*** Day three of a six day road trip across the US, we drove from Tucumcari, NM to Springfield, MO, passing through Texas and Oklahoma, stopping briefly in Tulsa to visit a friend from MBA school. So happy and so hungry to arrive at our final destination, we rushed to Springfield Brewing Company for some brews and eats. Naturally, I was pleasantly surprised to find pretzels ($5.5) on the menu - these Bavarian style sticks arrived pipping hit with queso and Santa Fe cheddar ale. I am not super accustomed to cheesy dips with glue like consistency, but they tasted damn good at the time. I loved the pretzels for their extremey fresh, puffy and chewy qualities. The crust had no lye residue or boldness, but they weren't promising authenticity. Great overall pretzels, and by the way, Springfield, Missouri is awesome! So awesome, that there is even a bike-espresso shop, Portland-esque coffee shops (LOVED Mudhouse), another brewery and a distillery - all this for a population of about 100k! We stayed in an incredibly lavish mansion bed and breakfast which I will post about next time. I heart Springfield! read more

Great location in downtown Springfield. We arrived between 6-7 on a Saturday night, the place was packed. It looked as though there was an event upstairs consuming a bit of the seating.. so maybe it's typically a shorter wait? We were told it would be 25 minutes for a table of 2. Not a big deal to us, we chose to wait and grabbed a beer from the bar. We spent the 25 minutes checking out the merchandise, people-watching, following the basketball on the several TV's, and admiring all the beer chalk art framed on the walls. The atmosphere is industrial but clean. A ton of brick inside with wooden tables littered throughout. The brewing equipment (possibly the bright tanks?) are only separated by a huge glass window so you're able to see inside. Overall the beer was great, my mojito was not good.. lacking in limes and mint, tasting watery. Maybe that's my fault for going to a brewery and ordering a cocktail. Our server, Dalton, was fantastic and doing a great job with his constantly full section of tables. We shared the fried pickles to start. They were DELICIOUS. Perfectly breaded, crispy and served with a chipotle ranch. These pickles have a little kick. He ordered the burger & a salad and said it was ok. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying a few more things off the menu. read more

We were looking for a good place around Springfield to grab some dinner and found this place. I was a little worried after reading other people's reviews, but I quickly had my mind changed. It was pretty busy when we got there but it was a Friday night after 6 so that makes sense. The hostess were both very nice and they got us seated with the alotted time that they had told us. Once we were sat our waitress was right there getting our drink orders. She was really great at always being there to get us our refills. We also ordered an appetizer (spinach dip) and it came out pretty fast. She did a really great job of explaining all of the beers to my husband. She had great knowledge about what they would smell and taste like. Alright let's move on to the important things like the food. Our appetizer was absolutly delicous. I love spinach dip to begin with but this was fabulous and they brought out pita with it. Perfect combination of foods. For my dinner I got Mom's Mac and Cheese only I did not get it with the alfredo I got it with marinara sauce and chicken. It was very good (I'm just not a big fan of alfredo, I know shocking). My husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwhich. Again like I have said many times I love that we share our food. His sandwhich was delicous. Perfectly breaded, fries were crispy and soft, and the ranch was devine. My food was also delicious. I was really glad that I changedout my orginal sauce for marinara becasue it ended up being like regular pasta which I am a huge fan of. Before we left we went ahead and also added a 6 pack of the Hop Lobster. I was shocked when the bill came. It was basically nothing for the two of us to eat, only about $50 for everything that we ordered. We will definitly be coming back here. read more

Arrive early if you want to grab a table during prime weekend hours, I attempted to stop in for a quick bit to eat with some friends before a concert on a Saturday evening and was quoted an hour wait, so we declined luckily enough two of us were not going to the concert so we were able to stop back by later and grab a seat at the bar for a few drinks. Once we returned we quickly took a seat at the bar, the bartender was very friendly and helped answer any questions we had about their beer, she even provided several samples to help make up our mind. I ended up going with Paul's Pale Ale and the Walnut St. Wheat, both were great beers. I also sampled the Aviator which was another solid choice. If you are unable to make up your mind you can always go with a flight and sample all their beers too. While sitting we noticed that there was a unique machine located on the bar and quickly discovered that it was for taking home fresh canned beer in a 32oz Crowler, the beer is poured from the tap into an empty can and its sealed. The beer is good anywhere from 3-4 weeks after being canned, I ended up getting a Crowler of Walnut St. Wheat to take home. In addition to beer, SBC also produces their own nonalcoholic root beer, it was so good that I even ended up getting a Crowler of that too go too. The atmosphere here can get loud, in addition to the dining room and bar downstairs there are also additional tables located upstairs. Overall SBC is a quality local craft brewer and if you are in the area I highly recommend making a stop. read more

This place is one I the brights spots of Springfield. I usually don't like going to Brewery restaurants because the food is usually sub-par. This place is different, it not only has great beers on tap (sadly the only offer beers from the brewery, unlike other brewery restaurants I've been to), but the food is pretty good as well. The staff was extremely helpful, and more knowledgeable of the beers than I expected them to be. ( side note: i accidentally left my phone here, and showed back up expecting it to be gone forever, but my waitress found it after i left and it was waiting for me when i got there). The food itself was pretty good, not the best but decently priced and better than I had expected. This place was out of control busy, and incredibly loud ( thats what I get for going here on a Friday night). With all that said this definitely now one of my favorite places in Springfield. read more

April 27, 2014 Near the downtown-warehouse area of Springfield, Mo. Large micro brew house surrounded by tanks. This is a 2 story facility with an outside roof-top area. Actually the facility has several unique and distinct seating areas for special events large or small. We tried the beer flight so we could sample the brewers art. Any of the samples were worthy. All served nice and cold too. Our group had a variety of food as we were on a site visit for an upcoming event. Everybody was satisfied with their menu choice which ranged from the standard hamburger to fish tacos, veggie-burger and nachos. Our server was well trained, she know her menu, and treated us as regulars. If you can't find street parking, free parking is a short half-block away. The 2nd floor bar and dining area is accessible by an elevator. read more

He gave us 20% off without asking, but tried to charge us for 2 kids meals before we corrected him. The waiter also took my plate while I was still eating. As is usually the case, I'm on another business trip. This time in Springfield, MO. A colleague and I went to dinner on Monday. Had a small house salad which was fresh and larger than I expected. Hit the spot! Then it was on to a buffalo chicken sandwich. Fried chicken dipped in (probably) Frank's Red Hot with pepper jack cheese on a fresh roll. A classic. A handful of seasoned fries completed the deal. Fair prices, fast and friendly service from Alex who told us it was her first day on the job made us come back a couple nights later. Sat upstairs this time with two colleagues. A "Brewben", a mac and cheese, and a salmon salad were ordered. We all agreed that the food was good. We lingered around and had a few drinks after dinner. The beer is good and the food is OK. Service is poor, but I think you can attribute that more to managements unwillingness to hire enough wait staff. If you're going for anything besides a beer be ready to wait. It typically takes at least 20 minutes to get served and then another 30 to 60 minutes to get your food. Forget about any drink refills unless you reach out and actually grab a passing server. read more

Though the food and beer were really good, the service was absolutely revolting. We came in with a large party. They kindly allowed us to make a reservation, so they knew we were coming, but the waiter assigned to us was very overwhelmed. And seemed unfocused. It took half an hour to get everyone drinks from the bar; then took our orders; took an hour after that to get our food. Even appetizers orders came out 5ish minutes before the food. After everyone was done eating, it took another 30-45 minutes to get our checks out correctly. They were messed up for several people 2-3 times. The hostess was nice and accommodating in the fact that we needed a booster seat or high chair and even went to get us one! She was great. Mind you, we've been here quite a few times, without our child, and have always had great service. Our waitress seemed disappointed to serve us, came to our table literally to take our order, and bring our food, that's it. No conversation, she was very short and honestly rude. We had to ask the bar for boxes/ ticket/ drinks. Our food was not hot when it got to us, after about a 40 minute wait. After paying, tipping, and leaving, we won't be coming back again. My favorite Squeeze (only, incidently) recommended we drop in here for a beer and a bite while in Springfield over the weekend. Very satisfied, was I, with both. The brew, the seasonal, had great color, almost amber, with just a tad more hoppieness than you might expect. Delicious and worth another draw. The sandwich was the Southwest Turkey Flatbread for about $7.50 and I skipped the fries for the Cider Slaw. BOTH were excellent! Most restaurants say that something is spicy when in fact it's not at all. This sandwich had a very nice bite to it and might be too spicy for some people (which suits me well). And the cider slaw was nice too. I'm more of a fan of vinegar based slaws and this was creamy, but it had that hint of cider and it was surprisingly yummy. This was the first meal I had on my vacation to Springfield. We had heard some great things about it, so we figured it was worth a try. We got there, and were quickly and kindly greeted, and taken to our seats, a giant, comfortable booth. My parents and older siblings ordered beer, and thoroughly enjoyed it, while due to my age, I got a Dr. Pepper. Anywho, we moving onto the appetizer. We had spinach and artichoke dip, and it was absolutely fantastic. The pita bread was perfect, and went amazingly with the super creamy dip. I ate at least half of it, and I had to force myself to stop. For my actual meal I ordered a 4-cheese pizza. I'm extra picky with pizza, with my parents owning a pizza restaurant, so I was wary with my expectations. The minute it got to me, my mouth was watering like crazy, and I immediately dug in. The first thing I noticed was the sheer perfection of the crust, it 100% fitted my tastes, and it had great flavor. And then I got to the molten cheese, which really added that extra pow to take it over the top. And to wrap it up, I just want to talk about the service, which was great. Our waiter was funny and very kind, and got really into depth about the beers and meals, which showed us he knew his stuff. We got our food very quickly, though we had a perfect amount of time to eat our appetizer, and then cool off from it. It was all just great, I highly recommend. read more

I'm a fairly frequent on-and-off customer of the BrewCo. It's a downtown staple. Food is great, nothing to write home about, but definitely above par for sure. Prices seem competitive, the atmosphere is great and they are not afraid to show off the fact that they brew their own beers for sure. In all due honesty, BrewCo deserves a solid 4.5, just short of perfect, because besides the fact that at times there can be quite a wait for food, the staff are polite and waiters/waitresses check back on you often. They keep it clean and even have pool tables and other games on the top floor. Once again, my only small tiff is the wait time for food, as I have often waited somewhat longer than I feel we should have. (This is after ordering food). Convenience, great atmosphere, and great food. Located in the heart of Springfield, Springfield Brew Co remains the top spot for many. As a place to go after a long week, this restaurant shines. The options of alcohol, beer, and specialties is excellent, the menu is full and flavorful, and hanging out with friends for a quick dinner before more work is wonderful. Although I have heard many good things about most of the food on the menu, a great "healthier" option is the California Grilled Chicken sandwich. The bun is average, but the chicken is juicy and is topped with a ripe avocado. Nice and fresh, reminiscent of Californian summers. The lighting and atmosphere is wonderful. Restrooms are clean and wait staff is really friendly. Food is delivered in a timely manner and checks are given in a "no hurry" but I'll leave this here just in case basis. Overall, an excellent place to go to dinner with friends and enjoy the end of a fantastic week. read more
