Just left with out dinner! Bartender was working her tail off while 3 staff members hung out. Appetizer was awful had to send it back. It took so long for food we left without eating. It's been about a month or so since I stopped it. My husband and I use to really enjoy this place, however there have been lots of changes within the past year or so. First they had a QR code change to order. Over time we got use to it. But we also noticed the menu shrunk and lots of our favorites were gone... We went in again and they are back to waiters and waitresses. Probably due to people complaining... However it appeared the menu was even smaller!! Then I got Mac n cheese and the portion was not as large as it use to be and I didn't leave full. This was a place I use to leave full and with left overs. The prices were also extremely high for what it was. The building is still super cool and we love the location of downtown Springfield but I am unsure we will continue to frequent here. My husband who is a mug club member isn't sure he will even renew his mug based on how it has gone down in the past year. read more

Fun bar / restaurant / brewery / distillery. Really enjoyed the rye aged in sherry barrels. All the food we had was well done, upscale, bar food. The crab rangoon dip was great, the BBQ sandwich was tasty, and enjoyed the fried mushrooms. Service was prompt and frlendly. read more

Stopped in to sample their wares and glad I did! I did tasters of the 4 Hoppy ones (I like IPAs). $2.75 each ($3 for the Hop Lab) is not a bad deal. Enjoyed all 4 and got a pint of the Greene Ghost. Whenever we're passing through Springfield, a stop at Springfield Brewing Co. is an absolute must! We used to come here all the time when we lived in the area and even now it's a place we make sure to visit. You simply cannot leave without trying their Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese. It is without a doubt, the best I've ever had. And here's the secret: you have to get the blue cheese crumbles, either on top or on the side. If you're a little hesitant about blue cheese, don't be, they are delicious and elevate the dish to a whole new level. Trust me on this one! The service here is always consistently great. The staff is friendly and attentive, whether you're sitting on the main floor or upstairs. You get the same excellent service no matter where you are. Beyond the incredible food and service, they also have a fantastic drink selection. I always love seeing what new sour beers they have on tap. Springfield Brew Co. has always been a favorite go-to place for us. Always great food and drinks and there's something for everyone on the menu. The atmosphere is nice, they have indoor and outdoor seating. However, they have recently changed service style to "tap room style". So, you seat yourself wherever and order food and drinks at the bar. It's a really neat idea and I thought I would like it. But it seems there might be some kinks to work out. It wasn't clear that the concept has changed, so several people kept waiting at the front to be seated. There weren't really employees around to help direct people or explain how it works now. The employees seemed a little overwhelmed, but it was a pretty busy night. The menu is significantly more condensed, but still good choices. The food was good and drinks were great, as always. I know this is still relatively new change for them, so I'm sure it will get better with time. I don't think it's going to be a go-to dinner spot for us anymore. 10/10 order the burnt ends Mac and cheese The burnt ends fall apart in your mouth. They are full of juicy flavor!!! The Mac and cheese was filling and delicious. The service was prompt and on top of refilling drinks! Which really says something considering it was a bit busy and we had a larger table. We made our way over to Springfield Brewing Company last night for dinner and had a phenomenal experience. The space is wide open, inviting, and filled with plenty of seating. We were greeted kindly by the host and had a wonderful experience with our waitress. Kind, helpful, and welcoming. My husband and I each started with a flight. He got a flight of six beers and I got a flight of 3 G&T's. My favorite G&T was the one with earl grey syrup. My husband loved all three of the IPA's that he tried. I also got a rye Sazerac and it was very high quality. Boozy and full of flavor. The brewery also has a distillery attached, so we had to try the liquor! For the meal I got the French dip sandwich and it was phenomenal. I cherished each bite! The fries were also delicious: perfectly seasoned! My husband got the Buffalo chicken sandwich and he loved the fresh chicken. He thought the spice level was perfect: not too spicy, but not bland! He also got the sweet potato fries and said they were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We loved our experience at Springfield Brewing Company (and attached distillery) and will definitely return if we are back in the area! read more

We have been coming to SBC for the past 8 years on our annual pilgramages to TRL and have always loved the food and drinks. The last couple of times we have stopped we noticed serveral changes and not for the good. Was a self-service ordering style and also the prices have gone up (sort of to be expected with the economy). But when we stopped by recently, the menu has been reduced way down to the bare minimums and didnt' match what they had on their website. Pizza's, four items of entries and a smash burger. They also have removed a lot fo the seating, so it appears that they maybe are looking to turn it into a taproom for their beer. Not sure if we will visit it again unless they look to go back to how it was and expand their food menu, which used to be GREAT. read more

Over all amazing!! This is a more than a basic brewery. Honestly it reminds me of one I'd find in San Diego! ( that's a good thing ) they have a very wide variety of beers and drinks! You can see the distillery ( classic ) they have TONS of seating. We didn't have to wait to get a table even though my friend and I opted for the bar! The bartenders kind of tag teamed us ( which was fine! ) they were both super nice. The drinks amazing the food even better! I'm disappointed in the changes they've made. You order from a QR code at the table and seat yourself. It's very self-service, which to me was kind of unwelcoming. Prices have definitely gone up, which doesn't really make sense to me. Why take away service and raise prices? Cocktails are ridiculously expensive. When I saw the cocktail I wanted was $18, I said, "Absolutely not!" and ordered a $5 NA Rootbeer instead. Food and drinks are still fine but I don't feel the prices and lack of service/atmosphere are worth it anymore. read more

Burnt pizza took 1 hour and a half to get chicken tenders and the drown fries in black pepper

I am appalled. BrewCo has been my "go to" place to treat out of town clients for lunch and dinner. Good food, service, atmosphere and unique n Springfield history. Well, I retired at end of 2024 and so had not been in recent times (tried for lunch in late summer and it was inexplicably and unexpectedly closed; now I know why). They have TOTALLY ELIMINATED WAIT STAFF! You order via QR code from a table for food but must stand at a register at the bar to order drinks. You self serve water and soft drinks. For some unknown reason it has turned into a "jolly elf" pop up with most outlandish and awful display of Christmas crap imaginable. The menu is supposed to be cute with holiday themed titles. They've cut back on old favorites (no chili ) and pizza can only be ordered at night. The menu choices are extremely limited. We were there and time was limited so we stayed to do lunch. My companion ordered fish & chips and claimed it to be decent. I got Mac & Cheese which had always been a favorite in the past. It was barely passable. It was watery and barely any cheese taste. I was terribly embarrassed that I'd made the choice to take my companion there. A very sad goodbye to what had been a fabulous place and local institution. read more

This rating is based on all the changes at Brew Co. We went for the holiday pop-up last night, which was really pretty. However, the fact that you now have to use the app to order food and order your drinks at the bar with no waitress is a nightmare. Only one out of 4 of us ever got our food, which was me. We waited an hour and a half and they said it was a 2 hour wait to even get food. I ordered the mac & cheese, which used to be amazing as well as a huge portion. What I received was cold, and literally was the size of a side in a big bowl, and it was $15. One member of my table was told they were out of everything he ordered after waiting an hour and a half. We cancelled all orders and left. We all decided we won't be going back until things change, which is disappointing because it was one of our fav places to go. read more

I love a QR code menu but having to go to the bar to get a drink, served in a plastic cup, and then placing my food order -again separately on a different menu, then having to go up to get my refills at the soda station. What a downgrade. Watching customers come in and then leave before they got service was wild. This was a tiresome experience, with at best, mediocre food that tasted like it came out of an air fryer. Great patio for a sunny spring day! Went in for a late lunch after doing a 10k. There was plenty of room inside and outdoors for seating. Music was great! My friend and I both had the French dip. Perfectly crisp roll with moist and tender brisket and gooey cheese. Dipped in the au jus was perfect, their fries are hand seasoned deliciously. I had the green ghost IPA/ hoppy, fruity, citrusy. Food was well below average, zero wait staff or even help for that matter, served ourselves water, portion size was very small and the chicken that we added to the "best" Mac and cheese was flavorless and overcooked to the point of having to gnaw on it and then add water to your mouth just to be able to choke it down. Two small entrees ran $49 without tip. Quite honestly, left us wondering what the tip would even be for. Definitely a place to skip in Springfield. I live an hour away and last month wanted to have a nice meal outside on a Thursday night and was told they were not serving outside. Probably because they were dead. Then the other afternoon attended a special event where SPRG Brew Co catered the event. Quality of the food was horrible. Cold processed chicken. Can't they just make real chicken breast? Then macaroni and cheese with no taste and French fries, kinda soggy. Spicy pickles were pretty good. I wish I eat before I got there. Okay, hate to be this person... but I came here to eat dinner with my friends and let's just say it was steady but not super slammed. We ordered and everything was fine. We were a small group so our orders were getting delivered to the table at different times. All orders got delivered besides one of my friends. We waited over an hour for her food, even after asking about it, and after being told it would be coming soon it never came. Very disappointed in the unorganized theme that this establishment continues to carry. All in all, she never got her food, and a resolution was hard to find apparently.
