Dr. Traboulsi and his staff are amazing! I'm always nervous when I go to the dentist - Post Traumatic Dental Syndrome. But Springfield Lorton Dental Group is great. I have been going to this practice close to a year after a referral from a close friend. The Dentist and Dental assistants are super friendly and make me feel extremely comfortable. Anna the dental assistant is the absolute best! She truly cares for her patients and puts me at ease when I am being seen and having major dental surgery! The only reason I am taking off 1 star is because I have been due for a cleaning for a few months and can not get any availability ! Best dental practice that I have ever used. My family has been going there since they opened the Lorton office. Great group that can handle anything. No problems with insurance billing or getting appointments on short notice if needed. They are always good about getting me copies of receipts for submitting to FSA, if needed. Modern office with very little wait times also. They know my group on sight, so no need to sign in, introduce ourselves each time. Wife has had invisiline and a tooth replaced with great results. I've been seeing Dr. Rosenman for years and was concerned when he left. His care was the best I've had over the years. My concern abated when I went for my appointment with Dr. Murray. Her care is every bit as thorough as Dr. Rosenman's. She took the time needed to examine me and then spent time to get to know me. I appreciated not only her exam but the work of her hygienist who performed the best cleaning that I ever had....and I always had great cleanings. I highly recommend Dr. Murray and her team....they are true professionals. read more

I had hesitations for choosing this group as my dental practice when I was warned by a friend about their rigidity, but since it was convenient to my home and had Saturday appointments - I was willing to give it a shot. BIG mistake. After having been a patient of theirs for 2 years, and having been disappointed at the customer service and overall quality of the dental cleaning at every turn - I continued to remain a patient of theirs for convenience. Once, during my cleaning - the hygienist was done cleaning in 25 minutes and surfed the Internet for rest of the time while I waited for a dentist to see me. I've never had a cleaning done in 25 minutes. I requested not to have her again. Another example from the past : I fell ill with a fever the night before and tried to cancel my appointment the morning of and I was told that either I come or I still had to pay the cancellation fee - so for that appointment I came anyway. I feel bad for the patients in the waiting room as I sat there coughing and sneezing during flu season. The final straw: as a human being - I completely forgot that I had an appointment this Saturday at 11. I called them at 1123 after I realized I had missed it, being 5 minutes away- to apologize and see if they could still take me or to reschedule. I understand as someone who is in healthcare that a late patient is not an ideal patient - but people make mistakes and forget. I was told that not only did I owe a $50 missed appointment fee (which is fine - I don't mind paying that) - but I would NEVER be allowed to ever book another Saturday or evening appointment ever again. It is their office policy. I asked them to check my record - since I have never missed or been late for an appointment in the past - and they were dismissive and told me that was the policy which I signed (and apparently should've memorized 2 years ago). I asked to speak to the office manager and was denied and simply was informed that I signed the policy. I informed them that they just lost a customer. Additionally, their billing staff lacks follow through. They were having problems with reimbursement from my dental insurance. They called me on a Friday to notify of the issue, and I told them I would immediately call United Concordia to follow up on reimbursement. When I spoke to my insurance company, they said they had processed the claim recently and it wouldn't be an issue. The Dental billing office told me at the end of the conversation that they would call me back on Monday or Tuesday to follow up, and they never did - I only heard that the issue was unresolved when I called concerning my missed Saturday appointment. While I was willing to look past the other annoyances - being told that I am never allowed to make a Saturday or evening appointment again because of one mistake in an otherwise perfect attendance track record was the final straw. Not only have they have lost a customer, I will also be spreading to all my co-workers and friends who were considering them that the Springfield Lorton Dental Group is to be avoided at all costs. As someone who works in a surgery center, we frequently have patients who miss or are late for appointments for big surgeries. We do not put them on a no fly list for missing their surgery once, much less for being late/missing a dental cleaning!! Groups like this are what tarnishes the reputation of customer service and empathy in healthcare. It makes me sad that they are willing lose customers over "policy" without being willing to take into account the person and the situation. Their loss. read more

First time patient. So here's my quick review: -Location/Facility: The pace is easy to find and parking is plentiful. The office is state of the art and very clean and professional. -Reception: Service with a smile. 2 Ladies was extremely helpful in regards to all my questions. From insurance, hours and accommodating my kids. -Dental Assistant: She was very informative. She would explain everything she was doing and any issues that I had. She was great in the cleaning process. -Dentist: Dude was friendly. I hadn't been to the dentist for over a year so I had some issues. He was never condescending or made me feel like I didn't do a good enough job brushing. He also explained what needs to be done and what are the priorities. Very professional. ***Conclusion*** - I've had the same dentist for the past 20 years. I finally had to change because of Insurance and location. I've lived in this area forever and have had my share of dentists at nearly a dozen different practices. I have finally found the one! Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable from the front desk to the dentists. The Lorton location is very modern looking and appealing. Their little freebies such as floss or chap stick are always thoughtful and come in handy - I throw them in my bag and I think of them and smile when I use them! I have referred my family, friends, and business employees to them. You can get it all done here (in addition to the obvious cleaning, fillings, crowns) teeth whitening, invisalign, root canals, wisdom teeth and more. Getting my teeth worked on isn't my favorite task, as I tense up and fear sensitivity, but the staff here is so professional, gentle and kind - you are in good hands! Look no further! I was a patient of Springfield Lorton Dental Group for a little more than a year and I have nothing positive to say about my experiences there. When I first went there for my initial checkup and cleaning, the dental hygienist asked me if I had ever had sleep apnea. When I told her I think I do, she tried to sell me on going to a company they work with to have it checked out. From that point on, I kept receiving calls from the company to set up an appointment to have a sleep study done. On another visit, they tried to sell me on having an alignment done to my teeth at a cost of over $6000.00. I think they are more interested in selling their clients products and services then they care about their customers. This is where the real nightmare begins. I had a cleaning that was so painful that it actually brought tears to my eyes. During the same visit, she noticed a discolored tooth so she had me see a dentist in the office who was not my primary dentist at the time. They took x-rays and he did some testing on the tooth and the teeth around the tooth by applying something cold. Afterwards, he determined I needed a root canal. I then set up an appointment for the root canal. The next day while eating lunch (nothing hard mind you, just a piece of meat), I bit down and heard a crack and had some pain in the area of the discolored tooth. My tooth had cracked but did not completely break off. I went in that day and they took x-rays and indeed the tooth had broken. I was devastated as this is a tooth in the front of my mouth. I don't believe in coincidences but I do believe in cause-and-effect. I believe that whatever they did the day prior caused the tooth to break. They took out the broken piece and did impressions for a partial denture (flipper) as a temporary fix. They ended up recommending I have a dental implant done. After the impression was done, the dentist glued in the broken piece and made an appointment for me the next day at an oral surgeon. I believe this was a friend of his since his wife works in the same building as the oral surgeon. I believe this to be bad business practice. I was never quoted a price before beginning this process, but I guess it was my fault for not asking. I was charged just short of $500 for the flipper and more costs to come for the dental implant. The next day I met the dentist over at the oral surgeon as he wanted to observe the surgery. He told me he was planning on learning so he could do this kind of work in the future. The surgery went well and I literally had no pain at all. The oral surgeon (Dr. Coviello) was outstanding and did a great job. I had to wait a couple of months for the implant to bond with the bone before I could have the crown put on the implant. I waited more than enough time and made another appointment with the oral surgeon to confirm I was ready for the new crown. He gave me the thumbs up so I made an appointment with the dentist to put on the new crown. I was excited to finally get my crown after living with the flipper for a couple of months. While at the dentist and prior to having the crown put on, the dental assistant was told to remove the cap on the implant, which is put on by the oral surgeon after the surgery. When she tried to do this, I had some pain in the implant area and I told her about the pain but she kept trying to remove the cap. She then went to get the dentist and he looked at the implant. I saw the concern on his face as he told me I needed to go back to the oral surgeon. They made me an emergency appointment at the oral surgeon. The oral surgeon told me the dental implant had come loose. I needed to get another implant done. I am now devastated for a second time. According to him, the dental assistant was turning the cap the wrong way and he said he would never ever have let a dental assistant remove this cap. The dentist should have done it himself. And even worse, I was in the process of moving from Virginia to California so I would not be able to get another implant done at this time. Luckily, the oral surgeon refunded me most of my money for the implant even though it was not his fault. However, I still had to pay for the tooth extraction and the bone graph portion of the oral surgery. The oral surgery was about $2600 and I got a little over $1900 back. So now I am out a total of $500 for the flipper and $700 for the oral surgery because of the incompetence of a dentist and a dental assistant. I never even received an apology or anything instead I got a $2000 bill from the dentist office for the crown I never received. Finally after some checking, they did wave the $2000 bill. Now an update from California. After moving to California, my flipper I paid about $500 for broke. I had to get another flipper as I cannot afford a dental implant at this time. I found a place that offers same day service for dentures. I got a new flipper that looks much better in quality and the best part, I only paid $395 for it. read more

I've been there for about a year and love Dr. Brendmoen. She is thorough, patient, and kind, and takes the time to explain things. I have seen two additional dentists with Springfield Lorton Dental Group, and while I was happy with Dr. Rosenman, I would not choose to see the other dentist again. The office is super clean and modern, and I love that they have blankets on the chair for you (I tend to get cold year-round.) They are always prompt with calling me in for appointments, and it's always busy (which I much prefer to an empty ghost-office.) And scheduling and payments/insurance have been easy so far (touch-wood.) I just recommended Dr. B to a family member today... so yes, I would highly recommend her/the office. :) read more
