0 Star if it were an option- Avoid at All Costs…read more Absolute nightmare. My first appointment at Impact Dental in Lorton on 11/5 was cancelled without notice because I supposedly didn't respond to a robo reminder text- never received a cancellation. They said I could wait to be seen, but I couldn't. Rescheduled for 11/12, then had to cancel due to a medical procedure. Called the day before, and was told I'd be charged $100.... for a practice that has never treated me. No empathy, no communication, no professionalism. They clearly care more about collecting fees than treating patients with basic respect. Save yourself the headache- go anywhere else.

I was also planning to begin treatment for two dental implants and periodontal care. However, after doing more research, I learned that it's best to see a periodontal specialist rather than a general dentist for gum-related issues. I also noticed that they only had one review mentioning implant work, which made me uncomfortable moving forward with them. I shared my concerns with the office after they quickly approved me for a dental credit card with a limit of over $20,000 (I have excellent credit). I originally thought the card would be charged only for the procedures completed--not the entire amount upfront. That, along with my other concerns, made me uneasy. I told the dentist that I was willing to pay for the work that had been completed but wanted a refund for the procedures that hadn't been done. They did issue a refund for the incomplete work; however, they withheld an additional $1,000 that I noticed was missing. I decided not to stress about it at the time and just let it go. For context, my credit score is now 821, I'm completely debt-free, and the dental credit card is now paid off. Word of advice: always do your research before committing to dental procedures. Check reviews, verify credentials, and visit the Virginia Board of Dentistry's website to see how long the dentist has held their license

My experience here has been an absolute physical and financial nightmare. Critical Issues Faced:Severe Pain Management Neglect: During a single session, they extracted all of my teeth and placed four titanium posts in both my upper and lower jaws. They refused to prescribe any pain medication, instructing me to use only Tylenol and Ibuprofen. Because of my history with decaying teeth, I have a high tolerance to over-the-counter pain relievers. Even my primary care physician was shocked by their refusal to manage post-surgery pain and stepped in to help.Unprofessional Staff: One of the staff members was repeatedly dismissive and exhibited a highly snippy attitude when I raised concerns.Failed Restoration & Poor Bite Alignment: I specifically asked them to fix my bite before leaving. They refused, and as a direct result, the permanent implants broke within just 8 hours of the procedure.Excessive Travel Burden: Because of their refusal to listen and fix the bite alignment initially, I had to waste an entire day driving 3 hours back to the clinic (6 hours round trip), burning a full tank of gas to fix their mistake.I strongly urge anyone looking into full-mouth restorations to carefully vet the provider and look elsewhere for an oral surgeon who prioritizes patient care and proper post-op management and also implanting wasted another full day of work and over 2 tanks of gasoline because of their mistake is when they had taken out my teeth but apparently they left a point ofmy jaw and after weeks of excruciating pain.... all while they tell me I'm imagining it because there should be no pain is what they said all up until a sharp point of bone stabbed through the roof of my mouth ..... THEN they admitted that they left a point of my jaw bone to pointy sharp so I then had to feel the pain while they cut the roof ofmy mouth and then shaved down the bone ...... like they were originally supposed to do....yet I got NO apology or offer to Compensate me for my gasoline AND time....even after paying them well over 40 grand, they don't even try because they know they have me by the B@LL$ since I signed that Contract.... soPlease, Save yourself and GO ANYWHERE else

First, I HATE going to the dentist(dental phobia??)! I'd rather get something operated on!…read more Well, i've been coming here for the last 5-6 years, I usually see Dr. Brendmoen, she is great and I will continue to see her. I've never once had a problem with her and she does make you feal at ease. I usually try to see her at the Lorton location, they have a newer office there with newer equipment. Well, I recently started having some bad pain in my jaw, I was able to call and be seen the same day. Apparently I needed a root canal then a crown. I would need to make a future appt. for both. I setup the root canal for a couple of weeks out, well the tylenol stopped working and I was in very bad pain during the nights. I did end up calling and they were able to get me in about 1.5 days later. Dr. Tupman did the root canal, this was my first root canal (and hopefully last), i was told my Dr. Tupman that I could still have pain for the next couple of days, well once i got home and the numbing meds wore off i felt 100% better. I did not need to take anymore pain meds. If you ask me, i think it is the dentist that made the difference, i think it's very easy to screw up drilling out your nerves! The staff is also very friendly.

I was seen on the dot of my appointment, no waiting. The office is clean and organized, and the administrative assistants at the front desk are very helpful, and frankly, way too bright first thing in the morning, but in a good way. The hygenist (Beth again, yay!) was very funny and friendly, which I found relaxing, despite my extreme dentalworkaphobia. All my questions were answered, and I always leave with the sure feeling that my dental health is in very good hands.
