We got last-minute reservations here for about $100 a night. It was a bit of a drag that they charge $10 for parking, but otherwise the stay was very good. The rooms have an unusual layout for a Marriott, but we really liked it. There was a sitting area and a separate bedroom area, with a TV on a swivel so it could be viewed from either side. Our room also happened to have a nice leafy tree right outside the window, which made it feel a little more relaxing. The breakfast buffet on Sunday was crowded, but the variety of offerings was impressive. There was a waffle station, bagels, muffins, scones, oatmeal with all kinds of toppings (chocolate chips, pecans, granola, peanut butter, honey, and more), yogurts, eggs, sausage, hash browns, and hard-boiled eggs. Plenty to choose from and a nice way to start the day. The place is a bit of a maze and it might be a long walk to your room, but you gotta get those 10,000 steps! read more

I am lifetime Titanium with Marriott and have stayed at thousands of their hotels over the years. I often stay at a Springhill Suites and can count on a comfortable stay but this location is disappointing. Checked in and I am usually given a room on the top floor, often upgraded and often a corner room. Was surprised when the front desk told me I was on the ground floor. Then I got to the room and it was a HANDICAP ROOM that I did not ask for! Springhill Suites usually had a modern room with high end fixtures and this room had none of that. I travel often for work and often stay at SpringHill Suites in various places. The breakfast, gym, and pool are decent at this location. Unfortunately, the rooms on the 3rd floor had a musty smell and felt humid when I entered. There was visible mold in multiple places in the bathroom. My body is very sensitive to mold; I had a significant respiratory reaction after just one night. The next day I requested a new room, which the front desk staff readily provided; however, the second room wasn't any better. I will not stay at this location again. read more

This is the best hotel in Boise. I'm a little reluctant to say this because it's my favorite and the prices have gone up so I can't stay here every time due to the company budget. This hotel is away from downtown just a bit, close to everything you need. Clean, neat, and organized Marriott Property. It's exactly what you think you're getting, a great night's sleep, in a great area of town. It's close to amazing restaurants and Albertsons, gas stations, and other convenient stores. Stayed here last night. Beautiful, big room with comfy beds and a couch. Family of 4 and we didn't feel cramped. Loved the partition between the beds and chill space. My kids went to bed but I wanted to read so I was able to do that without bothering the sleepers. Microwave, mini fridge, some plates and things... desk for someone who may need to work from the room. Free breakfast that was pretty good. Scones were legit. Pool was closed (still winter) but outdoor hot tub was open. They had a place downstairs to buy some small bites and things and some walkable places to eat nearby. Only gripe was the bathroom was tiny. For the room being so big, you'd think they could've extended that wall just a smidge so you could change in there. No space. read more

We had to park in a neighboring lot and walk over a few times. If you have a big rig/truck you may have issues parking. I had booked one night for my partner and myself at this SpringHill Suites since I've had good experiences previously with the hotel chain and like the "suite" set. This particular hotel is located near many Boise ParkCenter restaurants--we recommend Barbacoa for Happy Hour or dinner--and only a seven minutes drive from downtown Boise. Our room that we were assigned was very quiet being on the third floor in a corner nook of the building's design. While I do value a quiet room over a bright one, my one complaint was the room's natural light was pretty minimal. In addition there were no ceiling lights, just all manual lamps. The bathroom was pleasant with great water pressure and a sink outside for shareability. I will say that they need more towel hooks besides one since these suites are usually for 2-4 people. I had to use the a clothing hanger in the closet. I did get some remote work done during my visit and the Wi-Fi had a good speed. The in-room desk with convenient plugs is a perk. I was also shocked at how popular the lobby was. Multiple groups of people hung out at all hours of the day, beyond the free breakfast hours. There is also outdoor patios with heat lamps and bikes for rent. One suggestion for travelers is to fill up their reusable water bottles in the fitness center where there's a filtered water machine, though it would be nice to have another option such as one per floor. Half the number of points compared to the Hilton properties in Boise, it was a great overnight here to get a comfy night in a hotel bed while I'm traveling back and forth across the USA. I arrived at 4pm and departed at 9am the next day. My stay was clean, quiet and very comfortable. The hotel has a laundry that worked well for two loads. The wifi worked very well. I did not get anything from the cafe. The young lady who checked me in was polite and pleasant and helpful. The room is a "suite" which means it's good for two people though there is only a partial divider between the two spaces. Comfortable work desk. Rooms are reasonably priced and less than a 10 minute drive from downtown. The hotel is a little dated and the rooms felt a bit dark at times but they were clean and the hotel had made the effort to make a good number of renovations. The rooms are also large - separate living area from the bedroom with a desk and small sink and countertop but the bathroom setup is a bit odd as the sink sits outside the bathroom so it's basically in the bedroom. The free hot breakfast was a perk and they have a nice outdoor pool and sitting area. I didn't have much interaction with the staff as I take advantage of the mobile key option but everyone seemed helpful. Had to grab a place quick for work and found this one to be most reasonable given the circumstances and availability. There is massive amounts of construction going on, so a lot of the "dust" issues were understandable. Otherwise rooms were nice and clean upon arrival. The staff was always super helpful and very friendly, front the front desk, to maintenance staff, to the shuttle drivers...always willing to chat and help. There is INE breakfast attendant who could use a bit of a "manners check", but overall everyone was great. The greatest part about this place is the fact that it's right on the "Boise River Greenbelt Trail" system. Lots and lots of beautiful trail to experience. Absolutely fell in love. It's becoming the season where sitting in an outdoor hot tub and watching the sun set is everything. This was probably the most disappointing part of the stay was that the hot tub was just like a warm bath, and the jet system didn't work. So it was like sitting in a bathtub with strangers. Kinky, but not for me. There also is the issue of hot water throughout the hotel. It does seem to take quite a while for the hot water to arrive at the taps and shower. Checked in on a Thursday evening. Not many people in the lobby. It was late. We had a ton of luggage but no luggage carts. We spent the next 30 mins scouring the hotel for a cart. None were to be found. Same thing occurred the following morning. Asked for assistance from front desk. No help. They don't where their carts are. Terrible customer service. Prior to arriving I called the hotel to inquire about their availability of their shuttle. I was told the shuttle stops working at 11, and our flight was scheduled to arrive 30 minutes after midnight. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. The check in process went smoothly and was very fast. Since my husband is a Marriott Bonvoy member, I thought his information would be accessible, but it wasn't because we booked our flight and hotel package through Priceline. The hotel had a recent renovation, so the outside looks inviting. Upon entering and exiting the elevator on the second floor, my husband was immediately disappointed. The second floor hallway carpet didn't look renovated. The room was clean, but it did have an off putting smell upon entering. The beds were comfortable (we booked a two queen bed). The pillows were actually supportive. The toiletries provided was a soap bar. Towels were available by the reception desk. Upon checking in, we were asked if we wanted housekeeping service (one time offer). We opted for housekeeping, but she came early Saturday Around 8:30 and quickly left. Housekeeping came back again Sunday morning, but we were getting ready, so opted out. Checkout was easy and fast. Overall, it was a good stay. Location is near the university. I was impressed with the hotel's accommodations available. Especially saving our room / reservation when we got in well after 1am. However my opinion tanked when we got to our room, it looks beautiful, but smells awful! It smells like animal urine all over our room. Do not go there if you have an electric car. On multiple websites, this hotel claims they have a charger for electric cars. It turns out they do not. If you arrive with an electric car with less than 10% of battery, you will have to fight to find a charger in the city. Electric chargers in the city are about $5 per hour, so charging your car will add $50 to your stay. If you are going through Idaho, a better option is to stay in the Marriot in Twin Falls, which has five chargers. Besides the charging options, the SpringHill Suites in Boise are not great. The rooms are old/outdated. Noisy and not very clean. I want to come back to Boise (and hopefully find a hotel with a charger) but not in this hotel. read more

Large room and friendly front desk staff. Room overlooked a garden which was pretty. Room was quiet and had nice natural light. Loved reading the newspaper and enjoying a complimentary coffee. However after reading many other reviews and seeing the complaints about that I definitely think most are exaggerated. The room was clean, spacious and had a microwave that I was not expecting so that is definitely a nice thing they even had pre packaged paper plates and a coffee maker however the coffee downstairs was definitely better. Talking about the breakfast, it was pretty basic, however it did provide a waffle maker and Nutella so I mean really for a complimentary breakfast it was not bad. we arrived in boise on a trip back to UT from the OR coast about 5pm on 7/4/24. Check in was simple and we were given our room card which would NOT open the north end doors off parking lot...we could hear it unlock but would not open...and we had a lot of stuff to bring in. -we got to our room #174 and immediately across the hall in #175 a huge dog was barking frantically...this would go on from 5:17-7:20pm even when I called front desk 3 times asking them to find owners. -It was 7/4 and no manager on duty??? -the front door was super squeaky, -the bathroom fan was making a loud whirring sound when on, -the wifi thru Bonvoy was difficult and took many unsuccessful tries so we gave up. -the room AC was set to 70 degrees but air blowing was barely cool so I removed the filter (I'm a property manager so I knew it may be clogged)...it was beyond clogged so I cleaned it in bathtub and replaced...room cooled off in less than an hour. I will email the manager of that SpringHill and list these items as well...maybe it will create improvements. read more

Three stars means we'd consider this property again if in a pinch for a place to stay on another trip through Boise or using a free night, as was the case for us on this trip. AOK all around based on our one night experience but enough downside to have it not be our first choice among many other options in Boise. Pros, Cons, Tips follow. PRO = LOCATION: We've also stayed at the Springhill in Boise nearer Eagle on Cloverdale and it is a newer property than this. So better from that standpoint, although this one has the great benefit of location very near downtown and Greenbelt. Location was the reason we chose it this time. CON =- PARKING: The parking lot is inadequate for the very large number of rooms and it was a bumper car squeeze. Accessible parking is also inadequate to meet codes as it meets neither the minimum of numbers or design. PRO = STAFF: Friendly and efficient staff at check in and out. CON = LOWER END AMENITIES: Clean facility but older infrastructure. Furnishings at lower end which is typical of Marriott's Springhill brand. PRO + CON = ROOM: Everything in our room was clean and in working order. Appreciate separate desk space, good wifi, room to spread out and fridge. But the commode room that shares space with a shower over tub is the size of a postage stamp and even for a smaller person like me was tight. CON = BED: Bed here was the least comfortable of all hotels at which we stayed on a two week road trip of which this was the last night before home. CON = NOISY: Maybe it's just our bad timing. But in every Springhill at which we've stayed in the last two years, there is inevitably a big high school sports team or sometimes two staying on property with the inevitable foot races in hall and slamming of doors that go along with it. No harm there unless you are no longer in high school and hoping for the commotion to end at a reasonable hour. So it was here on the night of our stay and inexplicably the hotel assigned them to the third floor along with those of us who had asked for a quiet room. One of life's mysteries, that. :-) BOTTOM LINE: You could do worse for lodging in a Boise stay. And we have. You could also do better. And we have. All in all the location makes this a decent choice for a short visit or when budget is a key issue. ROOM TIPS:: 1) Rooms that face the back of the hotel (odd numbers) are the quietest and coolest as they face east and to an apartment building. (West facing rooms in front face parking lot and road beyond.) In this three floor property, third floor rooms are best. Avoid the first floor. 2) This looks like a big property from the front and once you get inside you realize it is a huge property. Given just one central elevator, if you get assigned a room on the far ends you're going to have a long hike to your room from the elevator. We were fortunate in room assignment to be at just the right distance from elevator but not so far it took a hike. Consider rooms X17 - X33 or X00 - X09 for back facing quiet, far enough from elevator to avoid that noise (walls are thin here) but close enough for convenience. read more

There seems to be two parts to the building. Try to get into the new part and ask for a high floor. The old section of the building creaks and you will hear every sound including all of the bathrooms next to and above you when they flush. I walked into the room where breakfast was served and walked right out. NOTHING looked good. Breakfast at the Canteen in the VA hospital was delicious. Really like the main guy at the breakfast place super nice and always asking if there's anything you need wish I would have gotten his name. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only thing I didn't like was the pool area didn't seem to be kept and cleaned. Noticed someone left bandaids by the pool the following day it was still there so I ended up picking it up with a paper towel and threw it away myself. read more

We checked in here to get away from the Central Oregon smoke. The girl at the front desk was really nice and let me blab my life story to her, so that was nice! The place is dog friendly - there is a one time pet fee per stay per pet. We are here for like 8 nights and it's a flat $50. Pretty dang fair! The inside of the room was (I say was because I have a 6 year old), really clean and there is a sink, mini fridge, cupboards, microwave, desk, lots of lights, large couch, TV, comfortable bed and small but fine bathroom. The only issue we had with our room is that you can't take a bath in this one right now. There is a bath but even with the drain "up" it still drains .. we let them know and told them don't worry about it until after we leave. We will shower, it's fine. There is also an outdoor pool here! We haven't used it as the air quality right now is less than ideal. There are concessions and a grab and go complimentary breakfast. I think there is usually a full continental breakfast here but right now with COVID they had to postpone it. They seem to be keeping things really clean and have been very kind to us while we've made this a home away from home. They even went and got my husband earlier when he was doing laundry downstairs and I had no pants and he had left his phone. So that was nice and also funny. Ample parking in front and back of the building. Very modern and well kept! Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere to bring the fam. read more

I really enjoyed staying here! I will offer up front the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is I couldn't get management to call me back when I thought I forgot something there after check out, and the front desk said they weren't allowed to check for lost items on their own, some sort of "two step system" as they described, forwarding me to a manager's voicemail with instructions to leave a message and he would be able to check lost and found for me. Best I can tell he never called. Luckily I found my item so it wasn't necessary after all, but until I found it yesterday I was distressed not knowing for several days after checkout. (Sunday checkout, today is Thursday) This hotel is what I will call polished upper-mid tier standard, with unexpectedly modern rooms, surprisingly nice (mass production) artwork in the rooms, friendly staff, nice toiletries, and an incredible (seriously!) continental breakfast that kicks AirBnB's butt from here to next year and by comparison makes the AirBnB accommodations I've recently become accustomed to seem like bizarrely entitled, demanding and insensitive hosts! I'm digressing here but seriously, the last places I've stayed at left me a chore list like "take out trash into ally and replace liners" "do the hand dishes" and "strip linen, place in washer and start on gentle cycle." All while charging a cleaning fee! This hotel was a reminder of why it is also nice to stay in commercial establishments who understand I'm not their maid, I'm their customer on vacation! This hotel, when considering all of the above, the nice area it is situated in, how convenient it is to drive to, park in and find, etc, food/amenities--it's so close to a 5 it's a shame I never heard back from them! I think Springhill Suites is as good as it gets in this price range. Each room has a small kitchenette - microwave, mini fridge, sink, plates, plasticware, etc - which always comes in very handy when spending more than a few days in one city. The rooms also come equipped with a desk, free internet access, and a living area (couch, chair, coffee table, flat screen tv). Just off the living area is the bathroom and bed (so, you can watch the flat screen from the couch, or from your bed). I was also pleasantly surprised to find that they use Paul Mitchell products, which are way better than the Bath and Body Works used at other Marriott properties. Springhill also offers free breakfast every morning - coffee, juice, milk, oatmeal, eggs, meats, waffle station, bagels, toast, and fresh fruit. Pretty much whatever you like. The Boise location isn't bad, either. There are several restaurants within walking distance, and many more just a short drive away. The staff was friendly, efficient, and does what they can to make your stay enjoyable. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. read more

This has been my go to since 2007. It is my favorite to stay in Boise. The rooms are large sized & the beds are comfy! Windows Open! YAY! I love that the sink/mirror are outside the bathroom! Always a plus! You can easily hop on the green belt, or walk to a great variety of restaurants. Walking to BoDo or Bronco stadium is a bit of a jaunt, but doable! Breakfast is really nice & I love that the poor is outside! I will continue to stay here :) Oh another plus! If you don't want to cab or walk downtown, the hotel shuttle will take you down town & pick you up at 3 am!!!!! SO NICE! read more

The shower head is great, everything is really new, I couldn't hear anyone around me, and the bed is to die for!! And lots of mirrors! I'm on a cross country road trip and I wish I could stay at this hotel every night on my trip! It's a little outside of downtown but easy to get to. Also, a great breakfast area. The hotel was recently remodeled and the rooms are spacious and well laid out with plenty of space. The bed was comfy and I slept very well- something that rarely happens when I travel. This hotel is only three stories tall but it is quite sprawling. We walked down three different hallways just to get to our room. Our room was nice and quiet and clean. The sofa pulled out to a bed for the kids. They also have pack and plays available for babies if needed. There is a mini kitchen in the room with a sink, counter, shelf, microwave, and mini fridge. The hotel includes free breakfast in a room adjacent to the lobby. There is oatmeal, pastries, fruit, waffles, yogurt, cereal, make your own breakfast burritos, juice, coffee and tea. They also have an outdoor pool. It is a little bit on the small side though so it tends to get crowded fairly quickly in the summer. And there is a workout room too. read more

I booked 2 nights at the Springhill Suites in Boise over Thanksgiving holiday this year and had a horrendous experience. The hotel doesn't advertise they are under construction. The hallways are covered in plastic, there is dust everywhere, mildew in bathrooms, stains on the carpets. The room I stayed in smelled of Clorox and cleaners yet the bathroom was still dirty. I couldn't breath and would have left the first night but I didn't get to the hotel until midnight and had no idea what I was in for. I had to sleep with my Pandemic face mask in bcuz the room had such foul odors and dust. When I complained to the staff the next morning they were rude & practically yawned in my face- they didn't give a ****. Do Not stay at this hotel, you will be sorry, it's a hell hole! read more

When we checked in, the desk clerks were not wearing masks although they had a plastic shield in front of them. The room was very old and could have used some major updating. There was a hole in the wall where the shower head was. The wash basin was in the 'bedroom' section of the room. I really didn't feel comfortable that the room had been sanitized up to COVID sanitization standards. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this property. Not only is the staff friendly and helpful, the amenities are nice and location is close to downtown Boise. The hotel is right next to the green belt and is a definite plus to take a nice bike ride or walk. They have bike rentals, an outdoor pool, and jacuzzi. The rooms are spacious and have their own living area as well as small wet bar area. Breakfast is varied and have strawberries, which is awesome! The other nice things is they have access to the Axiom gym down the road as their own gym can be limited at times for the amount of guests it holds. I recommend anyone who is looking for an affordable and overall nice stay, the Springhill Suites is the spot. read more
