The sultans palace featured to statue elephants in the room, a very large Jacuzzi tub for two, a waterfall shower, a TV with lots of movies to choose from, and a small picnic table for food, card games, and just hanging out. I was most excited about the Jacuzzi tub for two. It definitely heat it up quick, but it was very relaxing to feel the jets against the body after a long work week. The bed was surprisingly comfortable. I always bring my own pillows when traveling via car, but the bed was super comfortable, and I was able to fall asleep with ease. The room was very clean, spacious, and inviting. Complementary breakfast was nice. They actually had some gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Was pleasantly surprised. Overall, one of the better themed hotel stays I've ever experienced. We'll definitely come back again.

My husband booked our room over a month in advance, and we reserved the Hollywood Suite, which was the room we had always wanted to stay in. A week before our stay, they called my husband and told him that room was no longer available, even though it had already been reserved for weeks. He requested another Diamond Suite, and they told him not to worry because the Marble Suite was available. We checked in at 4:00 PM. The room was much smaller than expected, and the wine my husband paid for and specifically requested was not in the room. The spa essentials were there, so we decided not to make a fuss at first. After dinner, we returned around 9:30 PM and tried to use the spa bathtub, which is one of the main reasons people stay at this hotel. The water was extremely hot, and when my husband tried to turn it down, the water would not shut off at all. The water became so dangerously hot that we quickly jumped out to avoid getting burned or injured because we had no way to stop it. We had to get out, get dressed, and call the front desk. Joann came to our room, and instead of trying to problem-solve or reassure us, she immediately said there were no rooms available and asked whether we planned to stay or leave. Rather than helping us find a solution, she seemed more focused on getting an answer from us than resolving the issue itself. From the moment she arrived, we felt like she was more than happy to see us leave instead of trying to save our anniversary experience or help make things right. We asked if the issue could be fixed first. Maintenance came, and after we waited in our car for about half an hour, the tub was still not properly fixed. The maintenance employee, Donny, was shocked that no one had tried to move us and confidently told us that we would absolutely receive a full refund because of the situation. He seemed certain that this was the obvious outcome. Later, when my husband spoke with Joann and referenced what Donny had said, she immediately shut it down and said he could not make those statements and should not have said that. It was incredibly frustrating to receive completely conflicting information from staff while already dealing with a ruined anniversary evening. We were then told the faucet had been stripped and that pliers could be left for us if we wanted to try using the tub ourselves. We did not feel comfortable with that at all. The whole reason we stayed there was for the themed room and spa tub experience, and that experience was completely ruined. We ended up checking out before midnight and driving 45 minutes home to Mountain Home. What made this even more frustrating was how everything was handled afterward. We were not offered any refund, partial refund, credit, or even another stay at a later date. Nothing. We were simply told that "a manager would contact us." There was no attempt to make things right, no empathy, and no effort to save our anniversary experience. The property itself also feels very neglected. The hallway carpets looked filthy and stained and honestly did not appear to have changed much since we stayed there 8 years ago. For $300-$400 a night, this is unacceptable. The staff overall seemed undertrained, overwhelmed, and not equipped to handle guest issues with even basic hospitality. This place could be amazing if the owners invested more into maintenance, staffing, and customer service. Unfortunately, our anniversary night was ruined, and my husband and I have decided we will never stay there again. For anyone considering spending this much money on a room here, think carefully. You are paying for an experience, and sadly this was nowhere close to one worth paying for.

Good thing they had Lucky Charms - I felt like a kids again. The room I had was large and very comfortable. It was next to an elevator, but not too noisy. I did have issues with my key a couple times and got locked out, but front desk staff were always available even late in the evening. There was a nice sized indoor pool and spa, plus a fitness room. I was out most of the day, so I didn't use the facility, but I saw a few families enjoying it. I would definitely stay here again.

When you show up, a lady met us at the door and showed us around. It is a beautiful property and this room had its only driveway. The room is very well kept. All the needs you would like. I did wish the TV was a little bigger but all in all its great. Comfy need, gas fireplace and wonderful soap. The massage package is well worth it. She knows what she is doing. Thanks Again!

Most Hyatt Place properties have basically the same layout which I love. Unlike other properties of this caliber, the rooms were equipped with actual glass cups, heavy quality glass cups that were really appreciated. It's upsetting to pay a premium for a room and have to put up with paper or plastic cups, which cheapens the whole experience! The rooms are very spacious, modern, comfortable (from the beds to the chairs and couches) and depending on where you stay, are kept relatively clean and looking nice. Coming in on a Friday night, with our room facing the parking lot, there was some Friday night motorcycle noise, but not so much that sleep was interrupted. The Hyatt Place in Meridian is in a great location, central to Boise, Meridian (read great upscale shopping center), and everything being relatively close to the property (please understand, almost anywhere you go in Idaho, you need a car). The standouts at this property were the *free* breakfast and the staff! The staff was as nice and accomodating as they come! There was one little mistake where we asked for maid service and they heard *no* maid service (not a big deal, we were able to get towels and soaps and etc until they were coming out of our ears, and of course, everyone can make a bed (even tho I was on vacation, but one time isn't a deal killer)). This property has the best yogurt (yes, yogurt)! I have no idea what they put in it, but it tasted great! It was a highlight each and every day of our stay! And "Renatta", (I hope I'm not butchering her name, here), one of the breakfast servers, was the best! Drink too much the night before? Get a hug from Renatta! Had a great night? Celebrate with a hug from Renatta! Heck, just get a big hug from Renatta! She was a bright addition to the staff and personally, she should get a raise and a medal pinned on her chest! The king suite was spacious with new furniture. There was a micro refrigerator ironing board, iron, hair dryer, a new roll of Charmin professional toilet paper and Kleenex brand tissue. There wasn't a microwave in the room but one was in the dining room area on the first floor. There was a small single serve coffee maker in room with a real coffee cup and two small drinking glasses. There was a bar area on the first floor that also offered bar food. We brought a Costco pepperoni pizza which was about 10 minutes away, so I can't comment on the food or bar service. The breakfast buffet was one of best hotel buffets that we've experienced in a super long time. The breakfast staff were on their A game keeping the area clean and restocked. The outside pool and hot tub looked so inviting! Several families were enjoying the outdoor facilities Friday night. Near the back entrance and pool area, there was a nice sized small gym to work out in. They needed to restock their sanitizing wipes because it was completely empty. I meant to let the staff know, but got tied up trying to unpack and catch a few winks before hitting the road again. We definitely will stay at this hotel again, but in an even numbered room facing the back of the hotel to hopefully mitigate any street racing and weekend noises.

Pros: - They usually offer a free airport shuttle, but because it wasn't running, they actually reimbursed the cost of the uber we took from the airport to the hotel! - GREAT location: we didn't come with a rental car and didn't need one - it was walking distance or to a bunch of food places and bars, including Pie Hole, Yoi Tomo AYCE sushi, Western Proper, Boise Fry company, the art museum, the Basque street, you name it. Pretty much prime downtown location close to everything, and only like a less than 15 min ride to the airport - Ask for free tickets to the Boise Art Museum! $6 value each haha - GREAT sun-blocking curtains if you want to sleep in - Amazing selection of TV channels - Pretty comfortable bed - The shower had the best water pressure I've experienced at a hotel so far - We didn't utilize this benefit but they have complimentary bikes to borrow - All the staff were very professional. Cons: - Thankfully I didn't pay the full price for this hotel - but based on the amenities, it feels like it should have been in the $400 range for a 2 night stay, not $500. I definitely would not have stayed here if I had to pay the full $580. - NO complimentary breakfast options, not even like a grab and go donut kind of thing. There is a convenient cafe downstairs but you do have to pay. - Our fridge seemed like it didn't have a good seal, and wasn't keeping our takeout leftovers very cold. - No microwave in room, kind of inconvenient if you want to heat up leftovers. - Kind of markets itself as a one of a kind luxury boutique hotel, but I would say it was more average and just gets the job done (not a bad thing, but a little on the pricier side). Overall, 10/10 would stay here again if booked with points and didn't have a rental car. It does give you the convenience of being close to literally everything if you're a fan of walking. Things that could make it better would be breakfast, better room amenities. Overall a solid 4 stars.

I asked several times to speak with a manager, expecting at the very least some concern or a simple apology. Instead, there was no apparent interest in the situation and not even a note of apology. It was as if dirty sheets were simply not a big deal. Hopefully, this review will finally get their attention and encourage them to take cleanliness and guest concerns seriously. Two words: NEVER AGAIN.

It actually got bad enough that I slipped getting out of the bathtub and hurt my wrist. My wrist was messed up for about 2 weeks afterward. When we mentioned it, they told us they had recently softened the water again, which explained a lot. Another thing people should know: if you prepay and end up needing to leave early, you may not get that prepaid money back. That was frustrating and something I wish we had known upfront. Not the worst place by any means, but definitely had some drawbacks especially for longer stays.
