This is a truly beautiful Westin from the lobby to the rooms - great for a romantic getaway or a wedding. Hotel is modern, luxurious looking. .75 miles to downtown, waterfront Annapolis. 2 hours, 15 minutes to Ocean City, MD. Room: Spacious with a little couch. Refrigerator and coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee filter packs. Microwave near the ice machine. Luxurious White tea smelling bath products which reminded me of the Bulgari bath products we used to get in Celebrity suites. I took the soap which lasted me a week and still looks good - non-drying. One bottle of complementary water. Amenities: - Indoor pool and hot tub (felt hot). Nice gym - Stunning circular bar and fireplace. Drinks were pricy. - Shuttle to downtown can be picked up outside the hotel and to the right. Runs every 20 minutes on the hour. - Restaurants on-site but we went across the street to Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar which was fantastic - make reservations. Things to Note: - City garage for parking and you will need to pay by scanning the QR code with your phone to start the timer for your car (remember your license number). It took several tries to connect to the website and get it to work. When you leave, you just drive out and it recognizes your car. - Our room had a connecting door. I could hear the parents and child's talking while I were in the bathroom. This is a beautiful, comfortable hotel, and I would stay here again to visit Annapolis or on my way to Ocean City. read more

Amazing experience and customer service. After a very hectic day of another hotel cancelling our reservation with no notice, they were able to accommodate us. The Westin Annapolis is a very nice hotel, I just believe I caught it at the wrong time and I have to rate it as such. I would definitely be open to giving it another try it was just my stay I am reviewing it on. First off, the entire lobby is under construction, so the bar and food options are nonexistent there. It's a shame as I'd have liked to visit the lobby bar but it was under renovation. It looked like it was almost complete though so hopefully that won't be an issue much longer. They did have a complimentary coffee station in the mornings though that I really enjoyed! The rooms were a nice, but I wasn't a huge fan of the shower. The shower could use a little tlc but by no means a deal breaker. I did think the rest of the room was very nice though. The view of the courtyard was also pleasant. I absolutely loved that downtown Annapolis was walking distance! It was an absolute gem to have this as you had a choice of so many restaurants and bars without having to drive. I thought the convenience factor alone is worth staying here for sure!! Now what took another star off for me is I was charged a night of parking and didn't have a car. I called to remove this charge multiple times and it was stated to have been completed but the refund never hit my credit card for over 11 days which was a frustrating inconvenience. Like I said, another stay could definitely result in a higher rating, just this one unfortunately had to two issues outside my control that hurt the stay in my eyes. read more

The new restaurant The Captains Daughter is a bust. I am a local and walked with a friend from my house. The bartender didn't know what wines were available (she did go and get a dinner menu so we could take a look). Of The two Chardonnays on offer she had one. The most expensive. If I request the Talbott and you only have the Benzinger then credit me the difference.... We had a drink then cut our losses. No way I'm going to risk eating at this place. Went next door to Sea Salt and spent the rest of our money there. It was good. This place is for desperate hotel guests only. Just like Morton's before it. I came here for a business trip. It was first time in the area. This place is close a lot things on the main road. The room was clean and had a semi fresh scent when I walked in. It came with a TV and I don't recall if it had a fridge or not. The housekeeping staff was respectful of the "Do Not Disturb" sign. I opted out for daily cleaning to keep my Marriott points at check in. Checking in and out was quick and easy, and the hotel is conveniently located near several places and restaurants within walking distance. Parking situation is confusing but I would recommend just valeting your parking otherwise the garage underneath is owned the city or another business. It's not worth the headache, so just your vehicle if you drove here. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. read more

One day before we were to arrive we were informed that the lobby was closed for construction. We asked if we could cancel our reservation and were told no. They didn't tell us that they only had one working elevator and the hotel was crowded for a wedding. So now we're on the 5th floor, good thing there's no lobby because we have no reason to go up and down the single elevator that is over crowded and too busy to pick us up. Good location, nice room. But, come on, why the hell did you wait till after the cancellation window to tell us we didn't want to be at the hotel? Seriously, you can't charge full price for half a hotel. read more

Stopped here for an overnighter with my BIC Hatt - we came to town to do some business with the big iron on our hip. This was the first time I have actually stayed here - and the place is on the upper end of the scale actually. Room was nice - bathroom was spacious and had a standing shower place with glass door. The bed was comfortable and had 4 pillows - which is 2 more than the standard in a regular room at other hotels I have stayed at. The breakfast and service the morning after was also good. I'll write more later, but this is about my initial impression and about check in. Others had posted that they were in construction mode and I was concerned, but no construction going on here! The lobby is quite breathtaking; I was surprised at the detail. Whatever it was before, they definitely did an upgrade. Check-in was a breeze took all of three minutes. I grabbed a to go salad and a beverage from there grab n go snack area; loved that they added it to my room without a big to do. I learned they have a free shuttle that will take me downtown for the concert I'm going to a Rams head. When I entered my room, the AC was already on. The room felt refreshed; sometimes hotel rooms will smell stale, but this had a fresh smell like they actually cleaned it for a new arrival. I'm only here for one night so I don't know if I'll try the restaurant but for what I need this to be the perfect set up. read more

My partner and I stayed at the Westin Annapolis for one night, and unfortunately, our experience was soured from the moment we arrived due to the behavior of one particular valet attendant. When we pulled up to the hotel, there was no one at the valet stand to greet or assist us, so we approached the valet office directly. The valet attendant we encountered seemed confused and annoyed by our presence, asking bluntly what we wanted. He was a slender young man with tight curly brown hair and light-colored eyes. Unfortunately, I did not get his name. It seems obvious to me that if the valet post is unmanned and hotel guests approach, they're likely seeking valet service. He didn't offer any kind of greeting like "How can I help you?" and was visibly irritated from the offset. While we were providing basic information for the valet ticket (name, phone number, and room number), the attendant repeatedly cut us off mid-sentence and kept asking my boyfriend "Do you understand me? Do you understand what I'm saying?" in a slow, condescending tone. My partner is Hispanic, and I'm Asian -- we speak perfect English. There was nothing unclear about our conversation that would justify this questioning, especially not repeatedly. His behavior felt not only rude and dismissive, but racially charged. By this point, we were very flustered and caught off guard. When we handed him our car keys, we accidentally handed him our entire keychain, which included our personal keys. He struggled to detach the car key, became visibly annoyed, shook his head, and snapped, "Yeah, I'm not doing this," before throwing the keys back at us. It was shocking and unlike anything we've ever experienced at a hotel. We did not see this behavior directed toward other guests, most of whom were Caucasian, which made the situation feel even more discriminatory. We felt profiled and deeply disrespected. We reported the incident to the hotel manager, Sandra, who was apologetic, comped our valet, and offered breakfast vouchers. While we appreciated her professionalism, we were still so upset by the following morning that we left Annapolis entirely and didn't use them. This incident overshadowed what was meant to be a special getaway for my partner and I who very rarely get time alone due to our busy schedules. The valet service is contracted through PMC Parking Management, and this behavior reflects poorly not just on the hotel but also on PMC's standards and staff training. This wasn't just bad service. This was hostile, humiliating, and it absolutely felt racially charged. It's unacceptable that someone this rude and unprofessional is in a customer-facing role, let alone as the first point of contact at a hospitality-driven establishment. read more

Really nice spot,, I love that it's pretty close to the downtown strip. Also the amenities are always a plus when staying in a Westin. The beds are comfy, the heavenly experience is definitely something to brag about. Their soaps, shampoo and lotion is by far best in the industry. Nice enough hotel, best thing it has going for itself is its location. If you are a nursing/pumping mom, I recommend picking a different hotel for these reasons: 1) Room fridge did not feel very cold, even on its coldest setting. I would not trust it with breastmilk 2) Room fridge did not have a freezer section (most hotel fridges I've seen at least have a small top-section freezer). Unable to freeze my milk, which was my original plan for flying back home 2a) Hotel is unable to store breastmilk and/or freezer packs in hotel fridge/freezer. I have had previous hotels do this with no issue They did give me an ice bucket with ice which is...fine. Overall, disappointed with their policies (and lukewarm fridges). Next time I will call ahead to ask these questions. read more

Poorly managed and maintained hotel! Website posted they have self park at $37/day vs $34/day for valet. Upon check in I was told there is no such thing, valet only. Self park is public parking at $24/day but no in and out. At the nightstand, 2 outlets with 2 USB, except the USBs were taped over with a black tape instead of fixing them In room safe DOES NOT work, looks like housekeepers do not check to ensure everything are in working order when turning over the room. The deadbolt on the door refused to retract and I can't lock it. Another guest walking by told me to turn the inside lever up and down 5-6x and it worked in retracting the deadbolt. Apparently, same issue with his door. Since it is not an isolated incident, why can't the hotel fix all the doors already? Requested extra lotions and other items from the Marriott App, no use, none delivered. No shower caps in the bathroom! No extra towels I requested! Won't go back unless I have to. read more

Just down the street from the Severn River that flows into the Chesapeake Bay and right around the corner from the Naval-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. I hosted a company meeting here. The conference room was adequate. We had to ask for power strips because they were not part of the set up. The room was too cold. Despite asking for them to turn up the temperature several times, they never came to address this issue. There is a shuttle bus stop outside the hotel which makes it easy to travel around Annapolis. Pretty decent hotel. For starters when we checked in and proceed to our room only to find they assigned us a room that had not been cleaned and still had leftover food left in the room. So we went back downstairs to inform them and they did apologize and instead of offering us something for the inconvenience we asked and then they proceeded to give us something. They gave us vouchers for free breakfast which apparently is free already depending on who you speak to. We did ask for late check out and that was an option depending on what type of member you are. The room was decent. Nice size king bed with a couch, tv and a desk with a chair to take a seat at. The view depending on your room is gorgeous! The bathroom is a decent size and is pretty modern. They do have the hotel size shampoo and body wash provided. They offer room service that comes with a charge as just about every hotel does. The menu for breakfast and other meals is pretty decent. They are also pretty serious about recycling and reusing if possible which in my book is wonderful!! (Love saving the earth as much as possible!!) They have a gym and a pool and I didn't partake in either one. From looking at the pictures that have been posted the gym looks like a decent size and a good amount of equipment for k get you by at a hotel. I did forget to mention as soon as you walk In they do have a bar that serves alcohol and food. All in all it was a decent hotel and the staff were pretty accomadating. read more

A very nice hotel. Don't come here expecting ye olde Crabtown, this is a corporate hotel that is very nice, with a nice price included. All of the workers, including the room cleaners were very nice. The fridge in our room was locked, so they brought in a fridge from somewhere else. It worked wonderfully at cooling my vodka and almost froze my OJ. It was ok. I stayed for two days. There was NO housekeeping. The cart was placed in the middle of the hall to get your supplies. We had to get our own towels, supplies from the cart in the hallway. Outstanding stay. Fresh modern appearance and the rooms are everything you would expect from a Westin. Bed was so comfortable with crisp fresh linen. Bathroom was stocked and the shower hardware was awesome, rain-head shower and handheld wand. Decent restaurant downstairs Azure's. Had a fresh arugula beet salad topped with salmon. Walking distance (15 minute brisk walk) or free shuttle to the harbour and the academy. Lots of other restaurants within the immediate area. Two side notes, this hotel does not have an executive lounge for Platinum members nor did it offer fresh hot coffee for our early morning departure. Stayed here for a four day weekend in the summer at the height of tourist season. Overall would stay here again. Room service chicken tacos were pretty good. The sautéed gulf shrimp with avocado and lemon at the bar was great. Mark and Mike as bartenders were attentive and interesting. The room was the usual wonderful Westin room with the heavenly bed. Location I of the hotel is within walking distance of downtown. But yet secluded enough and quiet; it is away from crowds. There are weddings galore (4 weddings the weekend I was there) so the bar gets busy in waves. Negatives- They didn't do any of my requests that I called in ahead of time. They locked me out of my room , did NOTHING To help me find a different room when they suddenly decided I could not stay any longer. I had one day to find accommodations. When I returned to get in room, one Staff was asleep in lounge, other night staff ( think I returned about 3 AM on a rainy night ) was NOT at desk. I called repeatedly phone number to get help , I DID NOT think it was my obligation to wake up a sleeping woman who worked for the company. Now maybe they figured since I help street people.... I wouldn't mind being stuck on the street during the rain at three in the morning, during the coronavirus , as a 60-year-old woman with arthritis. They then accused me of stealing keys, threatened to call the authorities, and the comedy of errors just goes on and on. Avoid this hotel , they still have my property , including medicine, NEEDED work items, make up etc...and it's been a week. But HEY, the bathtub is niiiiiiiice! Let's see which lawyer gets this fun case. read more

Update. After a few complaints to the front desk I was moved to another room a very nice junior suite, which I did not expect. While I do wish I didn't have to complain multiple times, I have to say that the hotel worked hard to fix the situation and they put me into a room that was very much beyond my expectations. Where do I start? Room was the farthest away from the elevator. Once I got there at 9pm the tv. Wasn't working. At all. Called front desk. They sent a maintenance guy immediately. Which is great. After 46 minutes he could not make it work. Apparently they had no rooms to move me into. The "solution" was to give me a bunch of award points. For a room or hotel that doesn't have tv in the rooms. I called the front desk like really nicely and front desk person was like "theres Nothing I can do". And then "what would you like me to do? So I had to beg for another room. Still no idea if that room has a tv that works. So. Now I have to schlep my stuff to a different room smaller beds in the middle of the night. To say I'm underwhelmed would be an understatement. Oh. And our company has a corporate contract with this place. Terrible. I'll never be back. I'll be sure to tell HR too. Crazy. I'd be like pulling out all the stops in finding me another room and try to move my stuff for me. But thats me. Oh. And probably Hilton too. But not the Westin Annapolis. read more

I've had such an incredibly difficult time checking in and staying here for the weekend. Not only do they charge for every single "amenity", but the mobile check in through their app deactivates the physical card you receive, so you can't have cards to the room while you have a mobile card. I called the front desk and they said as much as "sorry too bad" and there is no fix to this. I have a guest with me who can't access the room because she needs a physical card when I activated my mobile card. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is not worth the time, effort, and cost just to access your room and WiFi. read more

This large hotel located on West Street is within walking distance of the state house, waterfront, and many dining opportunities. The rooms are fairly modern and clean, and most of the staff is very helpful and attentive. The facility has a nice gym and pool for guests. Valet parking is available as well. The bar could be a little better, as the selection and staff experience seemed a little thin, but there are plenty of nice places close by if you want a drink. Breakfast is available on site starting at 0630. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. read more

I love Westins, which are part of the Starwood hotel chain. Westins are noted for their Heavenly Beds, which are quite nice and comfy. The hotel is about 24 miles from BWI. I drove down, which is about 240 miles from my home. The hotel offers both valet and self-parking. I opted for the self-parking at $20 per day, but the hotel charged me a discounted daily rate of $18 either because of my Starwood membership or because of the conference I was attending. I was here on business for a conference so I was able to confirm a very affordable conference rate of only $121 per night or $136.73 including all fees. The normal hotel rate is about $200 per night. As you can see from my pics my room 242 was quite nice although my view through my window was of the local cemetery. I checked out a day early, which was not a problem, but, I did have a problem vacating the self-parking garage. The hotel front desk personnel had to accommodate me to open the self-parking gate so I could depart in my vehicle. Overall I liked my first stay here and will likely return. read more

Check in, go to room, key opens door and am greeted by another person already in room. How in the world can this even happen. Go back to desk get new room. These rooms are extremely pitiful for a Marriott property. Miniature portable desk, no lamps in room, just wall sconces with 1000 watt lightbulbs. Felt like a stadium. Here's the kicker after all of this, there is no coffee maker or microwave in room. Call desk where's microwave. Am told it's located next to ice machine. Are you friggin serious. See picture. So how many grimy hands have been on said microwave all the day during Covid for Christ's sake. Unbelievable. Talked to manager he said they had just had a makeover to the rooms. Bahaha. Yeah right. It's a beautiful hotel but the staff leaves something to be desired. The manager is phenomenal but the rest I can't say the same. The waiters and waitresses are always scowling and seem unhappy. I feel like a bother just asking for water. There is NEVER anyone really working the front desk. We had to cal several times just to get a roll away bed and got hung up on each time. The same happened in the morning. Only the answering machine would pick up five times. It wasn't even that early. It's ridiculous. The bar is horrible don't go. Every drink people ordered turned out horrible. A whisky and seven couldn't even be made right. Order wine and beer only. The mattress in our room was stained on the bottom and not just a little. Ew. But I'll say it again the manager was fantastic. Everyone else needs to seriously step up. read more
