First of all, the service was incredible! The staff was by far some of the friendliest I have encountered on my travels! The hotel & the rooms were so nice, it was hard to believe I was in Bellingham, WA! Rooms were well equipment with microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, glasses, paper plates & durable plastic forks, knives & spoon (which I usually travel with, so this was a BONUS). Beds are comfy & lots of pillows!! One thing I noticed too--the room had plenty of PLUGS to plug your electronic in to recharge! (Yes, I know, but it is important!) The gym was totally empty when I used it, very clean and was actually pretty good for a gym hotel with benches, dumbbells, great cardio selection & towel service too. The pool looked nice, though I didn't use it (it's across from the gym). The breakfast was very nice too, some deceit choices, and lots of fresh hot coffee & hot water too. The breakfast staff was very nice, friendly and attentive to when things would run low. If you're having to stay up in Bellingham, this is a great choice! read more

Just had an overnight with my son. May have been due to President's Day, but the hotel was LOUD. We even changed rooms at one point. Our new room was quieter until the stompers came home above us and the young men drinking beer in the hallways decided to take their party out to the hallway. The bathroom door handle was breaking the remote batteries were dead and you hear every time a door closes nearby.Breakfast was pretty picked over by 830am :( Too bad as the room was nice and well appointed. I like the 1 1/2 bathrooms. We got a good rate with AAA. Quite clean and the front desk staff was awesome. Shout out to Kevin for trying to help, but I don't think we will be back. read more

Great new hotel. Loved the appointments and the spacious room. A nice feature was the toilet in a separate room with a small sink. These were separate from the mIn bathroom. The lobby breakfast area was roomier than the standard hotel with a nice variety of food on a comfortable setting. Definitely the place to stay on our next visit to Bellingham. read more

This is the fanciest Springhill Suites I have ever been to. Its about 6 months old but whoever designed my room should win a best design a room award. Glass panels separate the desk from the beds, separate sliding door room for the toilet from the sink and bath, reading lights for each bed, and cool furniture. Great place for me to stay for my customer visit to Vancouver, Canada as hotels there are expensive. read more

We will definitely be coming back here! The staff is great, very nice and personable. Top notch customer service! The lobby is well appointed and open with a bar & grill in back and the breakfast bar opposite that. There is a mini concession stand next to the check in. Now for the room! We had a dble Queen suite, it was amazing! Very spacious, with a sofa & chaise, desk, and large flat screen tv. There's a mini fridge, microwave, & coffee machine. The bathroom is great for having multiple people as the shower is in a separate room from the toilet both having a sink, mirror, & & beautiful sliding doors with frosted glass that resemble shoji doors. I always have a hard time sleeping in hotel beds, as I find them too firm but these beds are high & super comfy with lots of pillows. Load of plug ins for charging devices and a clock/radio/iPhone dock for you iPhone 5 or newer and for older Apple device it has a usb port so you can still plug in your older devices. Overall super satisfied and will be repeats for sure! read more

I stayed at the Springhill Suites for one night while on a short trip to Bellingham. Having just stayed at a Fairfield the night before, I was immediately struck by the more upscale ambiance and decor. Upon check in I was given a voucher for $5 off food at the lobby bar/restaurant, but already had other plans so didn't end up using it. I didn't particularly like the room layout, but I can see it being very nice for families. I was happy there were plenty of electrical outlets, including one near the bed. I also appreciated having a reading light above the bed, as one of my pet peeves is having to stumble over to the bed after turning the lights off. The only negative is that the shower felt a bit cramped compared to a traditional shower/tub combo. I took advantage of the free local shuttle and it was an easy, quick ride to the airport. Complimentary breakfast starts at 6am, but when I checked out at 4:45 I noticed that they had grab and go breakfast bags available. I didn't take one, but thought it was a nice touch. Normally when I'm in town I stay with family so I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to return to the Springhill, but I would definitely recommend it as a great place to stay. read more

We're staying here for a quick getaway. The hotel is newly renovated and well managed. The front desk staff have been very friendly. So far we are very happy with the stay. Place lived up to expectations and then some. Staff were very friendly and helpful offering restaurant recommendations. The room was two queens beds, very large with a separate lounge area with a couch. The shower and vanity area is separate from the toilet and smaller sink, which is nice if you have multiple people getting ready. It's a quiet part of town so you can sleep with the window open for fresh air. The free breakfast was very good, lots of options. The bar area is also very nice. We're able to take cocktails to the indoor pool and spa was also enjoyable for the rainy cool evenings. We've decided we are coming back to Bellingham and will be staying here for sure! read more

We stayed here for one night before our flight back to Honolulu. Everything was amazing. The hotel was new, so I didn't notice any maintenance issues. The room was perfectly clean, which is the most important. The bed has the duvet cover that gets changed out with every guest, soft towels, and nice Paul Mitchel shampoo and conditioner :) There was a partial partition in the room which was nice because our two children were with us and we could tuck them behind it with no problem. We would have preferred to have a separate bedroom, but this hotel doesn't offer that, and we got such a great deal (military discount) I couldn't pass it up. We turned in our rental car at 5pm the night we stayed (to avoid an extra $150 rental fee) and used the shuttle. We dropped all of our bags off at the hotel, then drove over to the airport, dropped off the car, called the shuttle and they were there immediately. The shuttle is free, so it just cost us the tip for the driver. Our flight wasn't until 8pm the next evening, but the shuttle will take you anywhere within 5 miles, so we just went over to the movie theater after check out, then it took us to the airport once more that evening for our departure flight. It was so convenient and fast! Then there's the free breakfast in the morning. Real plates and silverware, very attentive staff making sure everything is full and you have everything you need. It was all kept very neat and I didn't get grossed out like I do at some buffets. The morning we were there it included eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, pastries/bagels, ham, cheese, and probably more that I can't remember. I forgot to mention dinner the night before...the lobby bar serves dinner from 5pm-10pm, and the food was very good and the prices were very reasonable. Also a starbucks across the street. I can't think of anything I didn't like, I would definitely recommend staying here! read more

The complimentary breakfast was fine, the rooms nice enough. However, we reserved 4 rooms and check in was listed as 3PM. When we arrived at 4 none of the rooms were ready. We had to get somewhere by 7 and get dressed/ready for our ICCA competition. When we expressed this, we were told we could use the lobby and lobby bathroom to get ready! Completely unacceptable. We didn't get the first room until around 5PM and we weren't able to get checked in to the last room until after we returned around 11PM. read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean and friendly place to stay for a sports tournament for a weekend stay. We arrived a little early and were able to check in to a room right away. The front desk was very warm and inviting. The room was clean and looked almost brand new. I liked the layout as my older son was able to have some privacy from the way the room was divided and the bathroom layout as well. The shower and sink area are in a different room then the toilet and sink in another. What impressed me the most was how the service was so good and the hotel was fully booked. Lots of kids and parents but I never felt the staff was stressed or short. They always took the time to answer questions or requests. We were able to get an extra towel right away. The breakfast was also really good and the night before was a fun time for the parents at the bar. The bartender, Matthew, was kind and had an easygoing personality which made everyone feel welcome there. I would definitely recommend it for a stay and hope to be back ! read more

I must have got a room that wasn't remodeled during my stay last week. My bathroom smelled like mildew and the couch had disgusting stains on it. The staff however was extremely friendly. I would consider staying here again if I was guaranteed a remodeled room/bathroom. read more

I stayed here on July 3rd with my family. Check-in was good and employees were nice. After a long evening, we got back to our room and got ready for bed. As I was lying in bed, I found a bug on the comforter! Appalled and disgusted, I called down to change rooms. The front desk agent was apologetic and sent someone to help us move. The bellman arrived and helped us move our things. We told him that we trapped the bug under a glass so they can examine to ensure it wasn't bed bugs. The bellman also told me that we'd receive a discount on our room. Once we were moved, I heard nothing from the front desk. No one bothered to call to make sure we were satisfied with our room. Mistake #1. As we were checking out the next morning, the front desk had no idea what happened. Mistake #2. She asked how my stay was and I told her I found a bug and had to uproot my entire family (two young children, one of whom was already asleep) at 11:30pm. She also handed me my final billing which only showed a zero balance, no room rate and tax breakdown at all. I told her we were supposed to have gotten a discount. She did some things on the computer and reprinted my folio to show the discount. She said because we had purchased an advanced payment rate, she needed to refund my card. Then she said "here's 20% off for your troubles." Mistake #3. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 8+ years, I find this deplorable. The front office staff should have called to make sure we were happy with our room. Notes should have been made in the system so that every agent is aware of what happened. Telling me that I prepaid for my room does not mean I cannot receive a discount for my stay. I had prepaid through YOUR website, the money went to the company, not a third party site. I was completely put off by the front desk agent's remark of "20% off for my troubles." I found a bug. In the bed. This is something more serious than just "troubles." read more

Stayed here one night on the way home from BC. Would stay again in a heartbeat and use as a base for further exploration. We stay at Marriott frequently. For the cost, this property is one of the nicest we've found. Perfectly clean, welcoming staff, smiling everyone, everywhere. The room was quite comfortable, beds and bedding excellent. Nice sized closet and having the shower separate from the WC a very nice idea. If I had anything to fuss about, the coffee maker is pretty sad. But there's a vat of it downstairs for ones' caffeine fix. Had dinner and drinks at the bar, watching playoff baseball. We didn't get the name of our bartender, but he was on top of a pretty busy night. Cheery, attentive to everyone, welcoming to his regulars and new guys like us. He was also the first bartender I'd seen who thought our babbling about a mineral show and petrified wood was awesome. Turns out, he is also into minerals. ( Whatever his name is, clone him, he's excellent) So yes, stay here. It's an excellent spot to land to get off I-5. read more

This place is excellent. I'm nitpicking on not giving 5 stars: bathroom towels are in a shelf under the sink counter and it's easy to forget to grab one to put it on the rack in reach of the shower. If you need to meet with clients in the evening, forget about using the lobby. Every night the place was packed and loud (good alternate was to use the Towneplace lobby which is connected to the SpgHll). I'm definitely using this hotel when I return! read more

We were so pleased with our stay here! This hotel is brand new, and everything is pristine. The rooms are spacious and the finishes all feel very high end. Our room was spotless and cozy, wish we could've stayed another night! The only suggestion/area of improvement would be to relocate the tv in the rooms. The tvs sit awkwardly between the bed and seating area and the angle/placement made it difficult to watch. read more

Hotel rooms were okay. The glass divider decor in the room was a bit shabby. Everytime a person walked by it, it shaked and didnt sound very stable. I give this hotel a 2 because the pool was very dirty. There was gum stuck on the pool deck that hadn't been cleaned during the 2 day stay while there. I think management needs to pay closer attention to cleanliness in that area. Overall..it was an ok stay. read more

We have really enjoyed our stay here. Great, professional staff. Very clean, nice, spacious rooms. The fitness center is open 24 hours and directly across from the pool. The cardio machines conveniently face a ceiling to floor window facing the pool so you can monitor your child (obviously older kids who can swim) while you exercise! Jesse! Due to weather and, unfortunately, a small plane accident, all flights out of Bellingham have been canceled. Many, many patrons returned to Towneplace Suites and Spring Hill suites. I have never, ever seen the Chuckanutt lobby bar so busy! However, Jesse handled it all like a pro. I got absolutely dizzy watching him run around. He did not miss a beat.
