Stayed a couple nights and had a comfortable stay. Large rooms with a couch and desk on one side (along with mini fridge and microwave) and bed(s) on the other side. Bathroom is in the middle With a sink/vanity area separate from the toilet/shower. This location is not as nice and modern as some SpringHill Suites but still had a nice stay. Tv was Showtime but they had HBO on demand as well as Netflix. Internet was good but not great. Parking is free. read more

Just stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. When I leave a hotel I strip the beddings off and throw it on floor. When I pulled off sheets this morning I discovered a urine stained mattress. If I could give this place negative stars I would. This place is owned by the family that also owns howard johnson, Fairfield Crack house, and a couple others. The main owner is iffy but this one is owned by his lesser business navigated son. They don't pay you upon leaving, they trash talk you relentlessly. I worked there 2 days. When I was finished with my rooms, they went into them and dirtied them so I would get cut pay. Owner is not professional nor should this family be running hotels. Run away as far as you can. I've found fentanyl in rooms, needles, prostitutes, ect. Don't work here and don't stay here if you actually want a good life. Their purpose is for you to pay them and be demeaned by them as an employee. This has been going on for years to no avail on getting any better. read more

The breakfast has something for everyone. The customer service was great. The pictures on here aren't what our room looked like. Our room seem to have been remodeled tastefully. Dogged internet speeds. Very difficult to work remotely & impossible to host a Zoom call. The room was worn and tired. Cracked shower surround & hair in shower. No room safe for valuables or computer. Odd number rooms face the 2 neighboring restaurants and railroad tracks. For a quiet stay, request an even number room in the front. What a disappointment, as a "road warrior" I stay in hotels 15 days a month. This is a MUST skip stop for the business travelers. I'm ok with SpringHill & Fairfield line of Marriott portfolio, stay in a combination of them often with the volume of travel I do. The receptionist was sweet but her not her counterpart could activate mobile key. Upon arrival at 5:45p, I had checked in and activated mobile key earlier in the day, so at physical check in, I didn't make a deal over their confusion and accepted key cards. When I arrived to my room there was a young girl with a cleaning cart outside the door to my room which was propped open as she was just cleaning. I said, "no worries, I'm in no rush" as I was on the last leg of a 3 city/state work week /checking in on my family via phone so I rolled in and sat on the couch while she finished up. Couple of concerning observations, the primary being no vacuum on her brute, but she was mid service and after leaving I found some debris on the couch, popcorn on the floor and -my non negotiable- hair on the floor and commode in the bathroom. The mirrors were also missed. As I was leaving to grab dinner, I met a housekeeper coming out of another room so I mentioned (NO complaint) please address to which she went right into my room with some supplies she had in hand from finishing her clean in the room I met her outside of. Upon return after dinner, popcorn still on the floor, couch with visible debris but- I was in and out so I laid towels down in bed - wore socks the entire time and used my travel Clorox wipes to get me through. When I returned from dinner, a guy was in the lobby saying his room key wasn't working in MY ROOM. I stopped to listen and decided to let them know his room was MY room. It ended up being a non ordeal but it was just random and I didn't ask how it all happened. Perspective from my stay: this team could use some Marriott Hotel and Resorts corporate support and training along with resources. Every time I visit Billings I stay at this location. I love how it is right off the interstate and has a Texas Roadhouse right next door. During each stay over the last year I always get checked in it is always Alan that is working. He is always very helpful and kind. I wanted to give Alan a shout out as he went above and beyond with my stay there yesterday. I noticed there was no lotion in the room and went to the front desk to see if they had any. He was very sad when he told me they were out and it is on back order. I said no problem just thought I would ask. He said hold on... He went to his jacket and pulled out a little bottle of lotion that he had and said I was welcome to use it. I did not want to use Alan's lotion up BUT I appreciate him offering and being so kind! Most horrific hotel experience ever! We had a reservation and when we showed up, which was in the afternoon, we were told there were no rooms available but one would be for us soon. When we returned a couple of hours later, we were told the only room available was a smoking room (it reeked of smoke and was dirty). When we refused to accept this room, the front desk clerk, Brielle (who is the absolute worst front desk clerk I have ever encountered in all of my travels), refused to cancel our reservation. She refused to call the owner. I had to get the owner's email from corporate Marriott and email him directly. I also had to call Wells Fargo Bank to dispute the charge, that had already been charged, even though we never checked into the hotel. I have always had very positive experiences with Marriott, except for this one. Marriott should disassociate from this hotel. Do not stay here or even book a reservation here! read more

We checked in, showered, got cozy and discovered our tv didnt work. My husband got dressed and went downstairs and the reception told him, oh yeah, we forgot that tv was broken. He told her it was very inconvenient to have to change rooms and since they knew the tv was broken, why did they book the room. She got a bit sassy and replied , "It's only a tv." It is not about the tv, it is about the inconvenience of moving rooms. We have been traveling the past 2 weeks in our RV to a motorcycle event. We wanted a noce long shower and to relax in front of the tv. She was rude. Then, breakfast was a joke. We couldn't even get hot coffee. It was lukewarm at best. Best thing about this stay was a long hot shower and the oatmeal. My advice, find a different hotel if you're looking for quality. read more

Do Not stay here. High crime. 2 things to note 1) crime 2) hotel. First off our car was broken into and everything stolen. No outside cameras and police will contact us in 5-7 business days. They know the problem exists here. In inspecting the surrounding area of our vehicle post break in we saw a lot of broken glass around the parking lot. Shatter proof glass which indicates safety car glass. This was not localized to our car but found through out the property from previous break-ins in the past. When I asked the front desk she said "there have been lots of break-ins". Why would Marriott know this problem exists and not post cameras outside or security outside for deterrence and protection? I do understand these things happen but Marriott should have due diligence to protect its guests from known problems. 2) the room. If the first point isn't bad enough then second one probably won't deter you either. The rooms are dirty. Makeup on pillows, hair in the bed from previous guests and blood stains or new blood on the sheets. 3) I don't expect Marriott to care or do anything because as an organization they have gone downhill in the last several years. read more

As someone who actually worked here, my best suggestion is DO NOT STAY AT A MARRIOTT. The so called "clean linens and towels" are taken care of in a room that is very outdated and after a shift I would have to go straight home and shower because I smelled like mold and mildew. The breakfast is not fresh as they claim...it comes in bags. The "scrambled eggs" that you see are bagged eggs that get microwaved and scrunched to look scrambled. When we didn't have a breakfast lady, as the night audit I would have to set up the breakfast, there was a list of what to put out, but now how to set it up, even with the machinery required to set it up! Never had any training on how to set up the breakfast either, so I was basically left out to dry. The computer system used to check in guests is legitimately from the 90s. The manager, Asad Khan, was even debating about not hiring me because I have a leg condition and couldn't walk too much...that is until I was given so many tasks that i just had to push myself which resulted in my leg getting worse to the point of going into the hospital. The employees are all told " If you need anything, call me"-Asad Khan...I had a possible identity and credit card theft during my audit, and tried calling him 5 times without answer...I was even attacked by TWO homeless guys, and tried calling for help or at least safety, being that i am an injured woman who is a bit on the smaller side....no answer. Most to all of the girls who work there are confronted by Asad, being told "you should wear makeup, it will make you look prettier". The cleaning staff has quite literally never been up to par, and is known to leave their snack trash in rooms. When the staff says "maintenance", they are referring to Asad because there is no maintenance on staff at any time of day, so any requests you have are just going to be ignored or pushed off till even months after you put in the request. To be a better host, during my shift I would wipe down the counters, tables, desks, etc. In the lobby, and I would have to use 2-3 rags because that's just not something that gets done, and was just something I felt needed done. Almost every coworker I had was thinking of leaving or had already put in their notices, and almost all of them had said "the second you get the chance, get out of here, run as fast as you can, and never look back". At most, it's a 1 or 2-star hotel. Definitely not worth the price, but then everything Billings has tends to be over-priced. Here's the good. 1.) Room was a decent size, I like the sofa & bedroom combo thing, albeit I don't like having the dual full beds or whatever they are, business travelers have no use for that. Wish they had options. 2.) Room was clean. I'll give them that. 3.) Fitness room was small, but very good (and modern) equipment. 4.) Internet service was stellar... very fast, but they don't filter anything. I could see everyone else's shared iTunes libraries... etc. Don't leave your laptop plugged in all day, definitely... The Bad 1.) Getting out of there in the morning is rough, traffic can be bad, and true-to-Montana standard... crappy intersections & crappy signals. You end up driving down the road a few lights & making a U-turn. 2.) Public areas are pretty dirty. I saw the same pieces of paper trash in the elevator for 3 days in the same spot. Pubes & lint & dust bunnies at the edges of the corners of the hallways, elevators, etc. 4 days in a row, same stuff. 3.) The train. Oh my. All night long, every 2 hours, all week I spent there, midnight, 2 am, 4 am, freight train blows through and blasts the horn about 100 yards from the hotel. It's awful, if you are used to sleeping in a quiet house at home, don't bother trying to get a good night sleep. It's awful and it's 7 days a week. 4.) Breakfast. I don't know, I'm a frequent Marriott traveler, I have no idea how they have that name on the outside. Juice - it's instant mix in one of those machines. Pancakes... Krustees mix I think. Instant scrambled eggs & same rubbery Canadian Bacon every day of the week. Belgian waffles one day, it was ok, very rubbery though. 5.) Beds are ok, but not really comparable to a typical Marriott. If that is what you are looking for.. consider something else. read more

Our 3 night stay here was just as typical as a Marriott stay can be. This SpringHill offered free breakfast and had clean rooms. Housekeeping was efficient and our towels were always fresh! The 24 hour shop with snacks, medicine, and drinks was extremely convenient. Due to our gold elite status we got a late check of 2pm! read more

I give this hotel 5 stars! Everyone at the front desk was happy and friendly. Very helpful when it came to giving suggestions for around town. The manager even came out and welcomed me as a first time visitor. The common areas were all very clean. My room was impeccable! Bathroom was clean, tub didn't fill up with water while taking a shower. Towels were all I'm great shape. (not sure what the other review was talking about in regards to the towels). The fridge and microwave were clean in the room. Great location! Close to the freeway, dinning, shopping etc. (you even get a discount if you eat at Texas Roadhouse). The morning breakfast was delicious and fresh! I normally don't eat the breakfasts' that hotels serve due to dirtiness and not looking fresh, but I ate here! Bed was comfortable. Large airy room, crisp and clean and new linens, bright lighting, and very soundproofed walls - dead silent. Climate control perfect. Spacious lobby. Didn't use pool but looked nice. Free Wifi. I would recommend this as a nice and new hotel, not far from the type of shopping one might need when travelling too (restaraunts, Target, etc.), good driving distance to West Entrance of Yellowstone via the Beartooth Highway - leave in the AM and arrive in the PM. I've been coming to Billings for 13 years and this is the only place I will stay! The staff here is AMAZING! They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are great and they are currently renovating the entire hotel! I'm looking forward to seeing the final result! Bad: one of the phones in the room didn't work, shower drained very slow, had to request additional linen for the pullout bed. Overall it's ok for an overnight stay, wouldn't recommended for anything longer than that though. read more

AWEFUL EXPERIENCE! When we arrived after our 9 Hour Drive, The first words out of the concierge's mouth were "we have another room for you at a different hotel". We were told they had no way of communicating this with us prior.. no phone number no email.. (we booked direct through them ) They had sold our booking that was paid for over two weeks prior to arrival. They told us they were comping the first night at a "nicer hotel" that cost $220 a night (really was $89 a night) instead of what we had paid at $150 a night. We tried to find every solution possible to stay where we paid to stay and after arriving at no result we headed to the other hotel. Upon arriving at the no-name location It was quickly apparent that the hotel was extremely less nice. We went to the front desk and they told us that they had received our name from the Marriott but that they would not be comping a night and that we were the sixth party to relay the exact experience... on top of this this the marriott tried to charge us a fee for "not checking in"(they sent us to another location!!). The management told us that because we didn't stay where they supplied us a room (at the garbage hotel) that they would not refund our money. We love Marriott hotels but this franchise is awful. read more

I frequently stay at Marriotts - they are my hotel of choice when I am gone for weeks at a time for work. I have NEVER been treated so poorly at check-in before. Alan was the front desk employee and he didn't even look at me when I came in, practically accused me of using a fake government ID, and mumbled through his spiel about free wi-if and where the elevators were before sending me on my way. UPDATE......iI just wanted to post a review informing that this hotel FINALLY mailed my pillow. I received it today (almost one month later). I'm happy that the issue got resolved but it took the help of corporate management. I made so many attempts to call the hotel myself to get this worked out but was never able to reach a manager. I finally called corporate again in hopes that I would speak to a person who would know exactly how to resolve the issue. I'm so glad the male who answered the call did just this. After listening to the run around I was given about this issue, he connected me to a supervisor in Guest Experiences and WOW all it took was one call from this person to the manager at the hotel and my pillow arrived 3 days later! I wish I knew the name of this supervisor so that I could say thank you! I provided a positive review after my stay at this hotel on July 19, 2017. I appreciated Diane's assurance that she would mail out a personal pillow I had forgotten. She took my credit card info in order to charge for mailing expenses. I am now changing my review to a low rating since there was not follow through on the hotel's part. I called the hotel back on July 21st to follow up and as of this date (August 8th) I have not been able to speak to a manager, assistant manager or anybody with decision making authority. I called corporate and even they are having a hard time locating a manager at this location. In my opinion this seems to be a very poor reflection of leadership at this location and at the corporate level....not at all what I expected from Marriott. read more

I have not stayed here, as there was a problem with my reservation, but when I called SHS Billings to figure out the problem, I faced a very dishonest and disrespectful staff, to include the general manager. Very unlike Marriott standards. I have stayed at many Marriotts throughout the years, to include Philippines, Colorado, California, Montana, North Dakota, Nevada, Wyoming, Oregon, and more... and this is my first time ever having a problem like this. The way they treated me was horrible. The general manager has informed me in his last email to me that I need to find a different place to stay because he is sure that I will be dissatisfied with them. We have been on an extended trip and have been staying mostly in Marriott properties. When checking in I have never been so insulted: I am retired military with 22 years service, and we booked using the government rate. When checking in, he stated policy was ONLY on active duty orders could we get the government rate, but he would do us a "favor" and let us have it just this one time! The hotel is clean and the rooms are up-to-date in decor and comfortable. The sheets could be a higher thread count, thus softer, as well as the towels. My biggest complaint is the same as a previous reviewer, THE TRAINS!! Argh! All night long they blare by the hotel about 100 yards, no peaceful rest to be found here! You can even feel the vibration in your bed from them passing. I have never felt and looked so haggard going to work appointments the next morning as I did the week I spent here. Come on Marriott! Ok, it would be nice to have more plugs so that I could charge my phone at bed side rather then at the desk around the wall in the room, but the towels are fine, the beds are good, the people at the front desk could be cheerier (especially you Alan!). He basically told us what hotel we should go to so we left and checked into the better hotel downtown Billings called The Northern. Have to check something so 1 star is better than they deserve. Called to make a reservation and the man who answered seemed put off and immediately told me that they were more used to business travelers with rental cars then families . Admittedly we were booking a room for the night $120 was the rate I believe and we were traveling through town In our motor home so I was calling ahead to make sure their parking lot could accommodate . He almost encouraged me to cancel my reservation even tho they were only 70% full. I ultimately did just that and reserved at the c'mon inn on overland drive instead ~ they were awesome ! Warm welcoming and beautiful place with large clean rooms excellent service and full hot breakfast . Paid $20 more for this room but totally worth it!!!especially of you are a family or non business traveler ! read more
