The best part of our stay was meeting the front desk receptionist Grizzi*. She was super nice and friendly and definitely made of feel comfortable. BUTTT... the fridges in our rooms were not cold, there were loose hairs all over the "clean" towels and bathroom floors. Wouldn't bring up the hair but seeing black strands of hair when nobody has black hair in the room was very disturbing. Not only was there hair that didn't belong to us the water was brown and murky. We were told that the city was contacted, but there was nothing changed. the hot water however was okay and clean but basics you do with cold water (brushing teeth, washing face) was done in hot water or with water bottles. i would not recommend this specific location; literally would only go to see Grizzi* (hope I spelled her name right). read more

This is a delightful hotel! In spite of being nestled into an industrial park on the north side of Andover, the setting is incredibly bucolic. It's a little hard to find at night but when I did find it I was quite pleasantly surprised. It's consistent like every other SpringHill- which are my preferred work hotels. This location doesn't have the full kitchens like most SpringHill Suites do, but it's fine with me- they have a fridge and microwave. Staff are very polite and efficient. Workout room is clean and well-equipped. I'm in Andover 3 or 4 times per year for work, and this will be my hotel to stay at going forward. The quiet setting makes you feel like you're in the middle of New England. Highly recommended. read more

Nestled away in an industrial park with a few other hotels, SpringHill offered us exactly what we needed- a safe night. It was clean. Efficient- check in was super easy and quick. we ended up in room 126. Very modern. Our couch was a trundle bed. The older kids loved this. There is a small indoor pool. We didn't use it due to our tight itinerary but the older kids did take advantage of a late Friday night workout session in the gym. They had the tv to themselves and did a run/walk on the tread mill. Comfortable bed. Decent continental breakfast. Had a little kitchenette in our room as well as a desk. Great hotel. Loved the early checkin and semi late check out. Allowed us to have breakfast and pack without rushing out. The rooms are spacious. Barbara a lady at the front desk was incredibly rude, We just came back from the star quest competition to get the rest of our stuff and it was running a hour and a half ahead , We obviously didn't realize it would be the far ahead. So once we got here our keycard worked to get in from the outside . Then we went up the stairs and walked to our room to just notice our keycard stopped working magically . So then we had to take the elevator downstairs and then I walked up to Barbara and I said "Hi we are room 214 and we forgot to grab 3 things . Our card stopped working " Then she was like asking for my mom so I got my mom and then Barbara was like going off saying things to my mom blah blah in a horrible tone and just in general. Then she asked the lady standing behind us to bring us upstairs so then the lady didn't understand Barbara and Barbara was like getting mad at the other lady . So me and my mom were walking to the elevator and was holding the door for the girl that was gonna let us into the room but she walked the other way after talking to Barbara for 2 minutes . Horrible behavior and experience when we were polite and respectful. read more

Decent enough place. Was surprised not to see the full kitchenette as is typical of the brand. Nice clean rooms. Comfy beds. Adequate breakfast service with all the usual staples. Stayed here based on previous stats at other Springhill Suites locations and unfortunately We left disappointed. This location did not have the same quality I've come to expect from Springhill. The building and lobby looked a bit run down and in need of some minor repairs. The room was not updated and in need of some cleaning and repair. The bathroom had mold on some of the caulking and a few spots in the ceiling. The vent fan was also pretty gross. The shower surround was original to the room and belonged in a budget hotel, and so on. To the positive, the beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The staff was great! So nice and helpful and courteous, just wonderful. It was Oct so coming back to warm apple cider in the lobby was a nice touch! There is no jacuzzi, fyi. It's there, it's just not in use. Bu the pool was very nice. And the continental breakfast is good,. not great but definitely good. And we could hear people walking above us and in the hallway but not so loud that it was a problem. But the rooms were clean and comfortable and the location is beautiful. Close enough to friends and family and not too far from Boston airport. Again I have to stress how lovely the staff was!! read more

Saved! I went out for the day and then realized that I left my retainer on a plate in n the kitchen of our room! It costs thousands. I called the hotel in hopes my room hadn't been cleaned but it had . They sent a supervisor and they searched through the garbage and found it! God Bless them! I was staying here overnight after DJaying a birthday party and I have no complaints. Everything was top notch, the room was clean, beds were sooooo comfy. I didn't have much of a view, but I was in town on business...not pleasure. I surprised at the bathrooms, they were very nice. I wasn't expecting that from SpringHill Suites. We stayed two nights. The room was great- very spacious, kitchenette, comfortable beds, clean. The location was very convenient to Andover (we were there for a family visit). The town is very cute and quaint. The trip into Boston was quick and easy as well. The breakfast buffet was just ok- the eggs were gross and there wasnt a huge variety. But it was free, so I can't complain too much. The pool was a little disappointing. The main pool was cold and had some dirt/scum floating on top. They did provide plenty of towels which was nice. It was a good option for what we needed. I would stay here again if/when we return to the area. read more

The rooms are clean and decently spacious and the staff is friendly, but that's about all I can say about the place in a positive light. The walls and the floor are thin. If you've ever wondered what the person in the room above you is doing, wonder no more. You can hear exactly where they are in their room and whether or not there is even a trickle of water running. Also, I had the misfortune of getting the room right above the patio. Anytime anyone was out there, I could hear the conversation, laughter, and everything else as if my window was wide open, but it wasn't. Apparently the place gets rented out for games a lot, so there are bus loads of kids that show up frequently. You can hear the thunder of kids running up and down the halls late into the night, again thanks to the thin walls and floors. Finally, the Wifi is slow as is normally expected at a hotel, but there is no hard line connection in the room to get a faster, more stable connection. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate my stay, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet room to rest or work from. read more

Ehhhhh I'm not impressed with the overall of the hotel. But me being a nice guy I'll start with the goods: Clean room, well put together room, great amenities. Now on to the bads: the hotel is a far way out in the middle of nowhere down a long dark industrial road (I'm glad I didn't get murdered down there). The staff were okay but weren't really accommodating. and the bathroom was a little dirty and the bed was really uncomfortable. That's all I have, if I were to stay in this area again I would just stay at the residence Inn nearby and I regret not staying there. read more

I had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was so nice. The housekeeping did a great job. And the hotel was clean and safe. It's also in a really lovely area with awesome walking trails and scenic views. The workout room was open 24 hours and had treadmills and weights which was awesome! This hotel was very good. I stayed there for a night for a dance competition and i recommend. Not too busy but not too empty. Everyone working there was very nice. The pool is a bit small but I still enjoyed it. Nice rooms. My only complaints is that we found a dirty cup under the bed. And there are no convinient places to plug in your phone near the beds. Is this hotel awful? No, is it good? Also no. Our experience is not a good one. We made reservations months ago where we booked 2 adjoining rooms online, and called to confirm we had adjoining rooms because we have several children and young adults that we couldn't fit into one room. When we arrived at the hotel, they did not have us in adjoining rooms. We had also ordered a room with a king size bed which we did not get either. Upon setting up from our 14 hour drive, after finally getting into "a" room, the refrigerator did not work, luckily we had enough room in our cooler to be able to ice a down most of it refrigerated goods. When we tried to call the front desk, the phone did not work. Having spent 14 hours in a car, naturally we wanted to clean up, however we did not have any soap in our bathrooms. On a positive note, the air conditioning keep the rooms at Arctic temperatures quite well, however the unit definitely leaked water and make the rug quite cold and moist.  On day 2 we were able to get an adjoining room and when we went to set up the pull out couch there we more than several springs broken, old food residue on the mattress, rust stains on the mattress, missing fitted sheet in the bag with sheet, pillow and blanket and a not quite clean sheet!  In the adjoining room, there was not enough soap, shampoo in the bathroom so we had to share from our room with the kids room, as well as not enough towels for even 2 people, where we had 4 in that room.  We were also told that due to staffing issues the hotel only performed room service every third day, here we are on day 5 and we have yet to have fresh towels, beds made, trash removed. We have 2 nights left here, we'll see how they go. Perhaps there will be more to say to this review. UPDATE-Came back to the hotel tonight, still no service. Trash, towels, beds and linens all as they were when we left this morning. Looking at Zero Stars now, if that's even possible. Final Update - As of our final day here, we still had not seen housekeeping, we had to put it trash in the hallway since it had not been emptied all week and was starting to smell a bit. No beds made or changed, no fresh towels. Nothing. Complete and utter disappointment. We expect MORE from a Marriott property regardless of franchise ownership status. If you take over a property in distress, you should have a TEAM that comes in, fixes all the problems and then let's in guests. This is a gross mismanagement of a hotel. You can hardly call this service. read more

We stayed at this hotel because the price was excellent in comparison to most hotels in the NH/MA area at the beginning of August. The hotel room itself was quite decent. Everything was clean and it was quite spacious. Our big complaint is the beds were double beds. That was terrible. I'm sure it said it when I booked it, but I didn't realize. A double bed for two people is not comfortable! We liked that there was a refrigerator that kept sodas very cold, a small sink, counter and table in a little "kitchen" type area. The room had a very large couch that pulled out to a sofa bed if you happen to need it (we pulled it out and it was horrible as far as comfort). The hallways were updated, the maid service was very prompt, and the free breakfast was decent. Overall I liked the hotel - especially for the price we paid. We didn't use the pool, but it looked decent. I probably won't stay again because we won't be in Andover again, but I wouldn't hesitate if I were. They need to upgrade to queen beds though. That is usually a deal breaker for me. read more

Everything was clean and tidy throughout the hotel but I had two complaints which brought my rating down. This is the first hotel I have been to in ages which still had cathode ray TVs in the rooms. Just a minor problem as we didn't really watch much tv. My major complaint had to do with the wireless. It was only available in the lobby! How inconvenient!!! It was so annoying having to trek down to the lobby to check my email after getting in late at night. Oh well. read more

Ok this isn't a ritz Carlton by far but for a lower priced Fairfield it gets 5 stars...the rooms are clean,fixtures new-ish and continental breakfast is the best I have ever had...eggs,sausage,oatmeal,assorted cerals...im used to crap coffee & stale donuts at other free breakfasts...front desk staff is A-1 and egar to help...there are a few hotels in Andover but I'm sure for the money none compare to the Springfield...check em out! read more

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights 3 weeks ago. We were in town for a friend's wedding. The hotel is very clean. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay here. The complimentary breakfast is ok. It's your typical run of the mill breakfast. Cereal, small croissants, muffins, waffles, eggs, juice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff here is truly amazing. They are incredibly friendly and they go above and beyond to accommodate. From the front desk to the manager, to the cleaning staff and the breakfast staff, every single person I encountered would say hello when you passed by them. Great business hotel during the week. During the week. Don't stay here on the weekends. I checked in on a Tuesday and my experience with the front desk staff was extremely pleasant. The staff was very friendly and informative and polite. The room and bathroom was clean, the bed pretty comfortable. I appreciate that the room is pretty spacious with a massive couch for sitting on, doing work, or lounging to watch tv. The flat panel that swivels between couch and bed is a nice touch. I also loved that there is a refrigerator, a microwave, and the drawers are stocked with silverware and paper plates. Very convenient for us folks that are bringing back copious amounts of takeout during our stay. Tuesday through Friday was a nice quiet experience. But by Friday night, there were obnoxious kids running through the halls, slamming doors, shouting until teeny wee hours of the morning. Saturday night was a little more rough - I thought there was going to be a gun fight just below our window. It sounded like quite the scuffle was taking place... it too, at wee hours of the morning and actually woke me up from a pretty deep sleep. If you're here for business - GREAT. This is a great hotel. Just get out before Friday night. There is free Wi-Fi with a great signal and the breakfast room was just recently completed. It's a beautiful remodel. Will I stay here again when I'm in the area? Perhaps so... the amenities, the kind staff, and the facility are all great... but I'm pretty sure I'll cut the stay to only weeknights. read more

The Bathroom and Bed was clean . That's pretty much all I really worry about when staying over a short stay hotel . Amenities were on par on what you would find anywhere else , the small refrigerator and microwave was a huge bonus . The continental breakfast was pretty standard , but who expects to have some sort of 5 star breakfast in a given situation . All in all the place was quiet , but they should upgrade the ac/ heating units pretty loud on startup . I would definitely stay here again . Friendly staff , clean room .... Win Win . read more
