Great hotel love the lighting they have around the hotel and overall aesthetics. My only complaints is that I wish they had more efficient customer service, everything seems to have taken a bit to get done. Also wish they had more lighting in the the rooms, it's very dark in the room at night. The great things to point out is their hvac system for the hotel and the rooms is great! We were greeted by friendly faces and smiles in the hotel lobby and in the bar. Reason for two stars is the food quality at the bar. We ordered a few drinks and food such as the trio dip (decent), the sliders (not that great), and large meatballs (decent). The sliders came with fries even upgraded to parm fries and couldn't really taste the difference. Some fries were overcooked and some were undercooked. Customer service was friendly but we had to call a server over even though the place wasn't busy. I didn't go in with high expectations since it's a food place in a hotel, but the price was too much for what you get in return. Otherwise, glad we had the opportunity to try out the bar area, even though there is room for improvement. We needed a place to stay to attend a birthday party nearby and was very pleased with everything that this hotel offers. Easy parking, beautiful lobby, comfortable room and extra comfortable beds which is what is of most importance to us. We heard very little noise from the hallway and our shared wall neighbors. The breakfast was excellent and had a large variety of foods to choose from including yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, quiche and fruit. We just needed a place to crash and leave early for our long drive and this fit the bill. The $400 one night price was on the higher side but worth it. read more

Nice rooms. Clean. Not too spacious but still manageable. My BIGGEST complaint is the noise at night. Not sure if there's a club nearby, a random car, or what but it is ridiculous. It's like a loud bass vibrating the walls and causing almost humming noise on top. I'm writing this at 3 AM and no one is at the desk to answer the call or handle the complaint. SpringHill Suites can be hit or miss, but this location was definitely a hit. My room was upgraded thanks to my Marriott status, parking was free, and there was 24-hour security--which I appreciated. The outdoor space was spacious and well done, with a grill, pool, and hot tub, all of which I used. The room itself was comfortable, and the beds were solid. When I walked in, I immediately noticed how modern and refreshing the lobby felt. The staff was friendly, and I was offered a welcome drink from the bar. Germey at the bar deserves a shoutout--one of the best and friendliest bartenders I've come across. A few minor downsides: I wish the bar menu included wings, the breakfast selection could use more variety, and soundproof windows would've helped. There's a racetrack across the street, and it seems like car clubs meet up there--I heard loud engines and music throughout the night. My experience was exceptional, at the Chula Vista location from beginning to end. Starting with our first greeting from Rae at the front desk ... Although my son and I checked in very early in the morning, it seemed so smooth. Rae was aware of our reservation and was expecting us ! Her demeanor was calming, and appearance was very professional which was refreshing. Never mind, I felt like I had been in a fight. Especially after being sleep deprived & resting on a cot for several days in the cancer ward near my mother's bed side. Then I met Maria, at the bar , this encounter is what prompt me to share my experience. Maria, placed a card in the jacket with my tab. Maria helped me really relax, and I don't even drink alcohol. I ended up having a mocktail filled with strawberries and a sparkling tasty treat. Maria held wonderful conservations and I forgot how tired l was. Your hospitality staff were patient and kind, during breakfast as well. They kept everything presentable. You all offering turkey options for breakfast was a winner for me too ! We originally booked a short stay but ended up staying a week and a half while waiting for our home renovations to finish. From check-in to checkout, the staff made sure we were comfortable. When our first room had a closet and door lock issue, the team quickly moved us to another room and made sure everything was in order for our safety. The front desk staff, especially a young lady who was still in training, was extremely courteous and helpful. The rooms themselves were very quiet--you could hardly hear anything from the hallway or neighboring rooms, which made for a restful stay. Housekeeping was consistent and timely. One day they mistakenly took all the towels without replacing them, but by the next cleaning they provided extra towels and stocked us up for the following days, which more than made up for it. The pool area was pristine, calm, and enjoyable--our son loved having a bigger pool than the one at home. The breakfast buffet each morning was a great way to start the day, and we appreciated the variety. Our son even tried oatmeal and yogurt for the first time, so we didn't miss any milestones while being away from home. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for a staycation or an extended stay in the Eastlake area. The price was fair, the amenities were great, and the service was genuinely thoughtful. With the big modern pool / bbq area and the sprawling open area that the bar is located in. Stayed here during archery tournament at Easton Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista / San Diego area. Resort style edge pool and family/group friendly outdoor area with a spot of artificial turf and plenty of outdoor seating with tables. The inside common areas are stunningly beautiful with wood floors, tons of open space, large sofas, lots of light, and big breakfast seating area. The rooms were very spacious with signature sliding-door open bathroom design, well-lighted large walk in closet, efficient living room area (sofa/ottoman/desk), and food prep area (fridge, microwave, lighted counter). read more

Staff were very nice and welcoming. Lobby and pool area was nice and clean. Rooms are spacious, but not short friendly. I'm 5' tall and in the bathroom mirror I can only see from my nose and up of my head. It was difficult to do hair and makeup for a formal event. The big mirror is on the other side of the room by the main door with low lighting from the coffee counter, no counter space for my items to get ready. If the long mirror was close to the window where there is some lighting would be better or if I was 5'5" tall. read more

We had a family memorial service to attend in the area and my uncle insists on staying at the Marriott properties and I can see why. All of the staff were pleasant and courteous from housekeeping in the hallway, the bartender, and front desk. We ordered take out and there was plenty of seating to eat together with the extended family. Easily ordered both alcoholic beverages and mocktails. I also loved that there was self serve hot chocolate and tea available in the evening, we sat outside by the fire pit and played games with the family. So much more comfortable than a rental house honestly. Free breakfast in the morning, helpful that they have 4 waffle makers, and I liked the spinach egg bites. My family and I ended up staying here for the weekend because of a house pipe issue. Anyways, we stayed at their king suite on the 5th floor which was supposed to be the last floor but for some reason we could hear movements above us. My husband told me usually they have storage up there but we hear it like as if there were guests up there, I told him it's probably "ghosts" LoL. The room space was a bit tight for a suite though, however, it does have a microwave and fridge. The hotel is new so the bed and sofa bed are still clean and firm. My favorite part of the room was the trundle bed under the sofa because it was perfect for the kids and yes I can't feel any bed springs since it's still kinda new. The front desk staff are always nice and from what I notice, they always greet the guests. Service was FAST because when my husband requested for an additional towel (there were only 3 in the room, and there's 4 of us), the person who brought the towel was there in a couple of minutes so that was impressive. Overall we had a good experience. read more

Checking in with reservation takes forever. They can't find 2 rooms next to each other even with so many requests since 2 weeks ago. How hard is that? If they only listen 2 weeks ago, we won't be waiting in the reception for hours. The kids are impatient and running around. Very inefficient won't be coming back. This was the most traumatic experience I have ever had at any hotel. I am still trying to heal, and what makes it even worse is that I have not received an apology from management despite reporting the incident to the front desk. On the second day of my three-night stay, I was in the room alone around 1:30 PM. My partner, the best man in a wedding party we were attending, was in and out of the room, which is why I didn't deadbolt the door. However, I placed the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door to avoid any unannounced entries. While taking a shower in the bathroom--located at the far end of the room--with the door closed, steam building, and music playing, I was horrified when a housekeeper entered the room and then opened the bathroom door without knocking. She stood in the doorway, staring at me through the glass shower doors. I yelled in shock, trying to cover myself, but she did not leave until I explicitly told her to close the door. It felt like an eternity before she finally exited. I never heard a knock at the room door, and with the shower and music, I wouldn't have. However, I am appalled that a staff member would open a closed bathroom door without knocking, especially when there were clear indications that the bathroom was occupied. This invasion of privacy left me feeling violated and deeply shaken. I left the hotel one day early because I no longer felt safe staying there. This could have been even worse if a child or another guest had been in the room under similar circumstances. I will never return to this establishment and hope this incident prompts serious reflection and action to ensure no one else has to endure such a violation. read more

STAFF and QUALITY HORRIBLE. I've been staying here for the past few months for work. Unless you enjoy hearing the people above you ever move and step this is the perfect place for you. Every single night you can't sleep in any room you stay in. I've stayed in multiple at this hotel. I feel bad if you picked this hotel as a vacation spot just to not be able to sleep at night bc of the noise above you. Not to mention can't count on the STAFF. I HAD TO CALL THE FRONT DESK 3 times! After hours to complain about the noise. they didn't do a thing. 3 TIMES!! A coworker of mine had to physically go down to the front desk and tell the security guard himself to go take care of it in order to take care of the noise complain. Highly recommend staying on the 5th floor if you want to avoid this issue. read more

First time staying here on business. The entrance/foyer are very bright, clean, fresh, neat, and welcoming. The common areas were very neat, clean and welcoming.... Meaning the bar, dining, sitting areas are very nice. My room was clean, neat and smelled fresh. The bathroom was nice bright, and the style was perfect wood tones with white counter tops and tile shower to include the glass door. Though noting the water did leak from the shower onto the floor which I mitigated with the used towels. My bed (finally) did not smell of previous visitors. The floors were clean (finally), not stains. We have been traveling for work, and it appears this is the FIRST hotel that does not stink! The lighting in the room was an interesting experience where the lighting is based on motion detection. Be sure to turn the lights off when going to bed, or they will activate if you turn in the bed.... We had appetizers and salad with drinks at the bar. Friendly helpful staff. I would stay here again either for work or vacation. This hotel is in the Eastlake area of Chula Vista which is impressively nice area... read more
