I wish I had read the reviews before booking. I booked a room with credit card points and ended up being charged for the room on my card as well upon checking out. The manager is ducking my calls and keeps putting everything off on her front desk team (which is doing the best they can but need support from a reliable leader). They accidentally refunded the third party instead of me and now expect me to contact the third party to get said refund. This makes no sense. There's a whole lot of buck passing and no real problem solving. Regina should be ashamed of herself for allowing this thievery to go on! I will have to contact my credit card to dispute the charges. From the sounds of former reviews this seems like a normal occurrence here. Traveler beware! read more

The hotel has drastically degraded over last visit. Dead bolt on the door would not lock. Hot water in the shower never warmed past tap temperature. The hall carpets were ripped with one trip hazard. Wall paper was coming loose. Walk in shower showing age and not properly clean. A major disappointment for a Marriott hotel. read more

Booked stay and paid through hotels.com. and then hotel billed my credit card, too. Neither one will take responsibility for refund and the manager at the hotel is the only one who can do a refund. The manager is never available when I call. I have started charge dispute through my credit card company, but I won't stay here again. read more

I have been staying at this hotel because I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. I see that someone finally doing some cleaning along the staircase, and the fitness center. The pool water is so cold that no one actually want to use it. I love to be able to use the pool, but it's too cold. My room is decent, but the carpet needs some cleanning. If you wear white socks in the room, your socks will turn brown or dark in no time. If you are walking bare feet, your feet will turn dark as well. I like the air and the heat in the room, they work well. The beds are comfortable, but I like firm mattress. The small room refridgerator does not gets cold enough and too small to fit anything if I need to stay for a few weeks. The lighting in the room is not bright enough. It's dark and depressing to stay in the room. read more

We were in E'town for a family funeral due to a sudden death (very sadly and unfortunately). However, in the midst of such difficult circumstances, I am glad that we found SS. It appears to be the newest of the many hotels/motels at this particular highway exit. The staff was wonderful, the room just about as nice as a Hyatt Place suite, and the pandemic breakfast options just as (pandemic) limited. Fortunately, we had a Keurig (and brought extra coffee!) and a microwave (for John H.'s morning oatmeal). An evening walk around the cluster of hotels and restaurants was ok, too. This hotel rooms are disgusting. I walked into my first room and there was a soap scum ring on the shower floor. I went back to desk and asked for a different room. The second room was not much better. The shower door handle was laying on the bed. The floor in the shower floor was stained with dirt. I called back to the front desk and the maintenance man came up to fix the door. I went back to the desk to complain and the gentleman at desk just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. I will never stay at a Springhill suits again. read more

We spent the night during our cross country vacation. It's less than 4 years old but it felt older because it has not been kept up. It didn't look or feel clean. One of the towels had a yellow stain on it. There was dust on surfaces that should have been cleaned. It's October 2020 and almost a year living with COVID. I expected Marriott to have high standard of sanitation and cleanliness. Luckily I brought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room properly. The front desk reps were not warm and friendly. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The sheets were clean. If you want a good night sleep, ask for a room facing away from the parking lot. We could hear the people on the patio talking late into the night. They did not serve breakfast due to COVID-19 but they offered breakfast to go. read more

This is exactly what you would expect from the brand in terms of the physical plant. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The lobby was more or less the same as every other Springhill Suites. But the place bills itself as a hotel largely serving peopler who travel for work, and this hotel really delivered for us. My friend and I checked in and had to record a podcast. I noticed the meeting room was not in use, and asked if we might record there. The woman at the desk checked with her manager, and five minutes later we had a space to work in. I can't tell you the difference a table and some chairs made to two guys tired from traveling. We'll be back every time we are in the area. I leave Yelp reviews to remind myself of the good places out there, and the bad ones. Thanks for helping us out today. This hotel is in a great location for people who might be traveling to Elizabethtown for the Ripken Baseball Tournaments. Putt putt golf/bar within 100 feet of this location. The smell coming into the hotel was not very pleasing however it goes away once you are at the front desk. Unsure what that was about. The hotel lobby is a great place for meeting if you are with a large group. The hotel does a great job of trying to manage the noise level since this location hosts a lot of sports teams. They have a two strike policy that seems to help with this. The pool is VERY small. More like a size of a larger hot tub. Our room was clean. We found a dirty sock tucked between the wall and the cabinet that holds the TV. This sock was not ours. So I am not sure how often the rooms are deep cleaned. The staff was friendly enough. I would recommend to the hotel to clean the couch cushions in the lobby. The sight of all the stains are enough to make you lose your appetite when eating your free breakfast. This is a great hotel! I stay in Elizabethtown a few times per year for work. I have stayed at this specific hotel 4 times within a year. The staff is very nice and always willing to accommodate my requests. The breakfast is good. My room is usually very clean. This past time there were a few minor things that weren't clean - the bathroom trash wasn't removed. Some trash was left in the room. The sink could've been cleaned better. However, since this is the only time I have experienced this, I did not deduct any stars. Just want to reiterate that the staff is phenomenal. They are friendly and go out of their way to be nice to you. Even if they're on their way out of the building to leave. They still acknowledge me and make small talk. I will continue to give Springhill my business as long as they continue to give such good service. read more

While the room was clean and quiet, the huge problem was the breakfast. Having been told that breakfast would be available until 9am, I arrived between 8:15-8:30am. When I arrived, there was no coffee, no eggs, no sausage, and no potatoes. All of this had been consumed by other guests and had not been bothered to be refilled. Only a handful of sad bagels and a few yogurts were left. As I and many other guests waited for the coffee to be refilled (it took about a half-hour after getting the attention of the woman who was working the breakfast), none of the other food options were refilled. If Springhill Suites is going to make it a competition to see who gets breakfast and who does not, then the guests need to be informed ahead of time. I would have booked my stay somewhere else if I knew that I would need to beat the other guests to breakfast just to get some coffee. Since a complimentary breakfast is supposed to be part of the stay, guests need to be made aware of that not only will there be limited food options, but there will not be coffee available. I can deal with a more limited breakfast menu, but I cannot abide with no available coffee. I will not be staying again at this hotel. read more

This place is TERRIBLE! Had a reservation for two queen beds. Got here and received a king and was told that was all they had. They ran low on towels and asked you to set out any dirty ones you had to be washed. I waited until that night and STILL no towels. At 9:00 they said it would be less than 30 minutes. At 10:00 STILL no towels! Terrible, especially for what you pay. Hoping to speak to the GM because this is ridiculous. And the front desk is less than helpful. Go to a Hilton property. We were in town for a wedding, and stayed at SS for a couple nights. Two teens and two adults in a Queen suite, which had 2 Queens and a sofa bed. The pros: - New, very clean - Comfortable beds - Good pressure in shower - Keurig in room with actual good coffee options The cons: - Customer service not very friendly or welcoming - A lot of typical hotel amenities are not available right now, which is due to the pandemic of course, but it was not explained at check in. We figured out the hard way that there was no cleaning service. - we had to ask the front desk for multiple things that were missing from our room. Again: 4 people, 3 beds. We were given 3 towels and 2 disposable cups and had to ask for more. - Breakfast service is understandably limited in choices, but it's supposed to go until 9:30 am on weekends. We arrived at 8:45 and there was almost nothing left. Other guests were rummaging through the cabinets themselves looking for utensils, napkins, bowls, more food. I totally understand the limitations the pandemic requires, but even given that, I felt the service was subpar and disappointing. There are a LOT of other hotels in that area - I'd recommend staying at another one. read more

Room is outstanding but the cons outweigh the pros.. First off, the first and 2nd night was extremely obnoxious. The sound of kids running up and down the hallways yelling and jumping around yelling at each other was just unbelievable. For the hotel to be considered a higher quality and professional, you wouldn't expect to have these kind of issues. I honestly couldn't believe it. So on top of not getting any rest that past 2 nights, My wife and I had an employee named Brooke who decided she could just walk straight into our room while my wife was unclothed fresh out the shower and I myself wasn't appropriately dressed. Even with the do not disturb tag on our door, she felt the need to welcome her self into our room. in conclusion, I see other people leaving great reviews, so It's quite possible that the days I chose to stay there were just not the best of days. read more

Big comfy bed and the main part of the room was nice. The big problem I had other than the bathroom floor being sticky is when I went to get something out of the truck...the lady running the desk that night ( middle aged dark haired lady ) was outside smoking weed but to each their own. The next day, another lady that looked to be housekeeping and a gentleman with a big bushy beard were hanging out around back where I had parked and they were smoking weed as well. Again, to each their own. If staying there be aware of that. I would've gotten a great nights sleep on that big comfy bed if I wasn't getting up every hour to check on my truck and hoping not to see some pothead in my truck. Might be able to score some good bud here if you're into that stuff. read more

I Hope You Like Trains!! If you look on Google maps they show the location at least a hundred yards from actual location. You may ask, " what's the big deal"? Well that would be the very very busy railroad tracks that are easily less than 50 yards from my room window. So when I booked my reservation I was not concerned with trains because the location populated near restaurants and other hotels. Now the kicker...$253 for one night to sleep near a train track. Marriott my trust in your quality just took a huge step backwards. You should be ashamed of this location and putting your brand name on the building. Based off of location at best this is a $49.99 type no tell. read more

Well if you like being charged double, this is your place. Night 1 charged 230. Night 2, 130 more. 3rd night another 120. At checkout, I was told they were incidental charges. Well guess what? Check out charges me 662 for the stay. Never have I been charged over 500 for incidentals. I've stayed at far nicer for less excuses than the manager saying it's my bank. Strange, my bank has never charged me using someone else's name. After booking 20 rooms, I'll never be back. read more

Pretty much a brand new hotel, but staff is the issue. Hotel itself was clean but staff dosent seem to care at all about guests. Checked in after being on the road all day. Being a hotel right off the freeway you would think they would know their guests want a good nights sleep and to relax a bit. After getting to room we sat down and discovered 80% of the channels do not work on the TV. Asking the front desk she said she dont know how it works and cant do anything. So we had to pull out our devices and streamed. We found out shortly that the bathroom door will not stay closed at all. You close it and by the time you sit on the toilet its wide open again. Had to shimmy a towel under the door to keep it closed each time. Now comes the best part, at 8am there were people going around to every front door of each room hammering in front of the door. What the hell are you thinking? Its 8am and people are sleeping, shows you dont care at all or your just stupid, either way thanks for early morning. We down stairs to load some things in the car, since there is no sleeping past 8am, and by 9am there is no coffee. When asked the front desk if I missed it she just said they must have taken it use the coffee in your room. Great now the three of us have to share 2 cups of coffee 2 creamers and 4 sugars. I am a very loyal Marriott member for life and will not ever come back to this hotel. On our way back through we stopped at a competitor hotel and got some sleep. read more
