I am a frequent Marriott vacationer and this was definitely not to the standard that I usually see. The staff were an absolute joy and helpful even with a mixup with the reservation. We got in for a cheer competition at 2am and they could not locate our reservation which was booked on the Marriott app. After an hour of attempting to locate, the front office lady was so kind and gave us a room for the night so her manager could address in the morning. He had everything taken care of before I arrived the next morning and was so accommodating. The rooms on the other hand were pretty old and had an off putting musty smell. I wish the remodeling that occurred was a little better. The small sink in the toilet room was a bit off putting and the sliding doors did not work well. This was challenging since we had male and females in the room and wanted to have privacy during toilet time. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights recently and enjoyed our stay very much. It is right off the freeway. We got there early around 1pm and was able to check in as our room was ready. The staff here is so friendly. The fire alarm went off one time and they were so apologetic. There was plenty of parking. The back lot is kind of sketchy as we we saw some people use it to smoke weed while we were at the pool. The hotel is modern and the rooms were nicely furnished. There is a sitting room and microwave and fridge, as is common with Springhill Suites. Our favorite part was that the toilet was in a separate room from the shower and main sink and had its own sink. The air and heat is on a unit on the outside wall, so not central. The breakfast was pretty good and everything felt clean, but I have seen better at other Springhill Suites. The rooms smell awful. There is mold in one room and the water doesn't work in the bathroom. And there is currently a party going on downstairs that can be heard upstairs while we are trying to sleep. We have stayed here many times before but we will never stay here again. read more

Yes I would stay here again, they clean rooms three times a week vs. two times a week at most places. The room was clean and well stocked. Most of the staff was friendly and wanting to help. Only had one night Manager who was a pain. He did not wear his shirt take in and was not as professional as most here. The breakfast was okay some days but nothing to brag about. They are still short on being fully staffed. Elevators could use some remodeling. You can tell they have been used a lot. Overall the stay was pleasant. read more

For SpringHill Suits, it does not get any better. This place is fantastic. Serious Kudo's to the owners. I have not been in the Houston area in a long time. I remember growing up though, Richmond / Rosenberg was NOT the place to be. Oh how the times have changed. This hotel is a supporting feature in an area that is being developed in a mindful and planfull manner. The hotel is very upscale. The rooms are very large and the amenities are great. One of the pluses for me, which could be viewed as a negative by some folks, is the configuration of the 'bath room. You now have a stream line sink / shower area, which is nice, and a sink / toilet area. The sink is just a hand basin. The bed area is fantastic and the sitting / office area is very well done. I am a huge fan. If this were the typical design, along with al of the other stuff (pool, gym, free breakfast...) they could put Courtyard out of business. This is much more appealing from a business traveler's perspective. read more

Pros-rooms are nice and spacious. Stayed here for 4 days, didn't eat at the breakfast but looked decent for a hotel breakfast. Coffee available all day noise was minimal. Ample parking with easy room access Cons-front desk staff less then impressive. Everyday our room keys stopped working. Towels are bad seen paper towels more sturdy. Shower leaked all over the floor. I had the opportunity to stay here twice this summer. I love it. The room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. The second I stayed there, I ended up add one more night the last minute and so the next day the room didn't got clean. It must be overlooked since I made the changes last minute. However, one walk to the front desk, and I was quickly got switched to a new room. Absolutely GREAT SERVICES. I STRONGLY recommended this place and will stay there if I come back to Houston again....and I do it often. read more

The decor of the entire hotel (lobby and rooms) is wonderful. The design and space of the rooms is also great. It's perfect for sharing, as the shower is set off in a separate room from the toilet. Lots of privacy. The beds were extremely comfortable, the water pressure was perfect, lots of hot water and the amenities including the blow dryer were top notch. A mini-fridge and microwave are also available in the room. The carpet and furnishings were stained in parts, leading me to believe that they were somewhat old. But this was excusable. One star off for the mediocre continental breakfast, but when have you ever really had a truly outstanding free hotel breakfast? (Answer: Probably 10% of the time) read more

Stayed there for just one night but it was awesome. The place is brand new so it's as clean as it can get. You can also tell the place was designed and put together with a plan in mind. In other words not just a collection of old used hotel furniture thrown together. Very modern look in the lobby and in the rooms. I LOVED the layout of the room. Seperate toilet and shower rooms and the shower was a real (and roomy) shower (not a tub/shower combo). Flat screen that can be viewed from the bed and the sitting area. Desk area was nice and partitioned from the bed area. And the bed was not the spring kind so no squeeking in a weird bed all night. They also had a pool, workout room, 24 hr mini-store, and some other utilities I didn't have time to try. Also what little staff I talked to were nice. And a REALLY quick check out! Everything was just so nicely designed, layed out, and kept. Couldn't of been happier! read more

Firstly I'd like to start out by saying this room was booked way in advance. This was supposed to be the hotel we stayed the night of our WEDDING but we ended up having to leave the SAME NIGHT. We get there and check in (I'm still in my wedding dress) The man at the counter says it looks like someone is checked into that room. He reads us the names (which he read our names) so we head on up to the room excited this being our wedding night and ready to relax after partying and getting a limo ride to the hotel. We walk into OUR room which my mother in law had placed a surprise basket of wine, snacks etc only to find SOMEONE ELSE IN OUR ROOM! My husband walks down to the lobby as I wait with our luggage and tells the guy there is someone in our room. The man then gives us another set of room keys. (Not the suit we paid for) and a floor down. So yet again we go to the room, already annoyed that this is even happening. We walk into the 2nd room and THERE IS SOMEONE IN BED IN THIS ROOM ALSO. Here we go back down to the lobby and this guy is telling us he doesn't know what to do so I asked for a manager. And I'm denied. We ask what would've happened if we walked in and worst case scenario happened like if we had gotten shot (for entering our room with someone already in it!) we stand down there arguing for a good while and the guy behind the desk prints out our confirmation # and room # (I showed him on my phone previously) and said that's y'all's room. He then decided to start tracing numbers on the piece of paper and ignoring us. He told me "if I just wait one minute he's trying to figure it out" this was about 1 AM in the morning and we ended up having to get family to pick us up and drive us home because they refused to get us another room. We've called and spoke to the manager and all they say is "sorry". We were robbed of our wedding night, gift basket, and time! Absolutely ridiculous! I highly HIGHLY recommend not using this place. So unprofessional,the worst customer service, and ill mannered people I've ever dealt with. We would've never paid for a limo to take us to the hotel if we would have known we'd end back at home all in the same night! 0 out of 5! Terrible! read more

The young man at the counter when I checked in was as friendly and helpful as he could be. Room rate was fair and the rooms and lobby have a funky modern design about them. I had several family members stay here while in town for my wedding, and I myself stayed here one night as well. Everyone was extremely happy with the hotel. The rooms are nicely sized for the price. Everything is new and very clean. The beds have duvets which is big for me. I hate those sleazy polyester coverlets some places have. The breakfast was very simple as expected but as far as free breakfast goes, I'm just happy to have a little something to start my day. I don't expect anything grand. I was so happy with this hotel and I will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting in the future. read more

This hotel used to be nice, but it has not had a renovation in too many years. They used to have nice flowers planted in the front, now it's just mounds of dirt where flowers used to be. No cushions on the outside benches to enjoy a cup of coffee. The outside area not clean. The decor is very tired and worn. When I checked in it was over 20 minutes in a long line at 3:15. The hotel was sold out. I would have expected a manager to be on hand to help with such volume, but the desk was staffed with one poor young lady who said she had just finished training. The carpet in the room was dirty and stained. The room is described as having a pull out bed. The condition of the mattress is so bad I wouldn't put my children on it. You can literally feel the springs coming through the mattress. Breakfast on Sunday was impossible because of so many people. Again, no manager on hand to help the staff. No extra room set up for the overflow. Just empty coffee pots and empty trays of food. I stayed here in May for over a month and the exercise room had no air conditioning the entire time. I had to be in this area again this fall and stayed again. But it will be the last time. As a loyal Marriott customer I am very surprised that Marriott has allowed this hotel to get to this poor condition. read more

Overall a great room for the price. Comfortable room and bed. Have loved Springhill Suites every time we have stayed with them. Would have given 5 stars, however we had issues with the TV. When we called the front desk they said they would send someone up. After 15 minutes nobody had shown up, so we called back. They said they told maintenance, but would remind him as he was getting ready to leave for the night. 5 minutes later they called back and said that nobody would be coming as maintenance had left for the night. Granted, not the worst thing that could happen, but not very good customer service, especially when maintenance was still on site not 5 minutes before. Would still recommend the hotel. read more

Honestly, if it weren't for the room being spacious, I do not recommend this particular hotel. Why, I'll start with parking - 1) if you have heavy luggage that you would normally wheel, they have no space in the rear parking lot (which we end up parking in by the time we get here) to wheel you luggage, except for walking to the driving entrance and all the way around and then back to the door. 2) the shower heads are horrible! They are so caked in lime deposits so you cannot get water to come out of them properly. 3) They have Dish for cabke service-if it's windy or taining, not only can you not watching TV, but you cannot connect to their WiFi. 4) The mini refrigerators (no freezer compartment) only cool to about 65°F, so if you want a frosty beer, go somewhere else. 5) some of the rooms have no lighting in the bar area. It's isolated in its own little niche, and if you're visually impaired, that makes it difficult to make coffee or see the buttons on the microwave (note to self-bring mini flashlight on next visit). 6) To the showers again, there is slime/mold on the caulking and wall grout. 7) Some of the toilets have small leaks, causing the toilet to suddenly, loudly fill at all hours. 8 the shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover tissues, coffee, and glasses are not restocked each day (I use allot of products in my hair & waterproof makeup-they don't like you using the towels for makeup removal). 9) Hangers are a gamble; this trip we got lucky. Normally, I pack 5 of my own in my suitcase). 10) USB outlets-only at the desk, and there are only 2. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Bring wall outlet-to-USB adapters to be safe. 11) soundproofing-between rooms is quiet. I've never heard anyone in adjacent rooms. The ceiling, however, is another story. You hear every foot stomp, shower, and flush of the toilet. 11) There are no vending machines on any floor; you have to wait for breakfast, get an inflated, limited selection from the front desk, order in, or drive somewhere (there are several restaurants in the adjacent strip mall and the other side of US Hwy 59). 12) Ice vending machine-there are always allot of construction people at this location-you may have to go to different floors to fill your ice bucket. 13) Personal observation-the beds are quite firm, and the pillows are accommodating. *Why do we continue to stay here? It's the hotel the company pays for. Period. read more

I was overwhelmed by how easy it was to spend a weekend there, after having tough times with noise and comfort for our kids in previous hotels. I only knock off one star because we never saw any details on our bath not including a tub, only a shower. Comfortable, clean, and large rooms. We could do it with four children under two! I made reservations for my mom, who has been a paraplegic for 50 years and is in constant pain, to stay at this hotel. I talked directly to the hotel's front desk, letting them know she needed a handicapped accessible room and would have her service dog with her. They said no problem and were very pleasant. Today when we arrived at the hotel, Melanie asked for papers proving my mom's dog is a service dog. My mom has stayed at this hotel before with her service dog and never had to show anyone paperwork, but Melanie informed me that it is hotel policy. She was not the least bit concerned about us and did not care that we could have been prepared had we been told, but now found ourselves in a bad position because we were not told. I called Marriott, and after 20+ minutes of my mom and the dog waiting in the car in the heat (because it is too painful for her to get out of the car not knowing if she even has a room)Melanie informed us that she could stay, but the hotel would be taking a $150 deposit. by far the worse hotel i have ever chose to do business with i called to reserve the meeting room for november 15th after getting information the previous day from a very nice young lady at the front desk however when i called to reserve the room the sale coordinator told me they would not host my event unless it was a meeting then i spoke to the gm of the location who was very helpful at first until days later when trying to confirm my reservation and told that there was no reservation i left several messages and heard nothing so i called customer service who then handled the reservation personally. i'm sorry i chose the location based off looks but so far have not had any good experience with them the rooms may be nice however next time i'll chose to reserve with the hampton or another hotel in the area by far the worse experience ever!!! read more
