I then requested water the following day at around 8:30pm when returning for the night. This property refuses to keep any water at the front desk and forces you to wait for housekeeping to bring it up to your room which is a major inconvenience to your guest. Nonetheless, i wait for housekeeping and had to call down 3 separate times to request water because they never showed up.. each time i called it was 1hr later. I needed to take some medication and had to wait until 11:30pm to get a bottle of water. I mentioned this upon check out and they did not seem to care and sent me on my way. 1 person offered me 3,000 points for the front desk issue and the manager emailed me informing me about a 2,000 point addition. This is what they think will rectify my issues... not change policies not train their employees. Just 5,000.. Rooms outdated... construction on the main floor.. nothing to brag about here.. I am a Marriott titanium member and decided to switch this year to Hyatt... Lets just say this is not the first issue i have had with Hyatt

Some rooms are old to where there are cracks within the room. Ripped bedding, peeling toilet seat, bathroom doors not fully functional, and more. Luckily, we hadn't experienced any pest infections like other reviewers. We also used to encounter friendly staff members at the counter. But lately, their customer service has declined as well. Plenty of parking provided with what seemed like two security cars on standby in the lot but I've never seen any security present. They do block the Harwin entrance at night. So you'll have to go around to the other side to enter. Located next to a Popeyes and Starbucks across the street. Next to Beltway 8 and Sam Houston Tollway.

The room was relatively clean, average size for a king bed room and included a mounted flat screen TV and small refrigerator. There is a free breakfast offered every morning as well (6-9am on weekdays and 7-10am on weekends). I wish I could say that the free breakfast was the best part about the stay, but the breakfast was actually slim pickings compared to other free hotel breakfasts we have tried in the past. Yes, there were eggs, bacon and sausage, but it was blah and all stuffed into 1 chafing dish. None of it was very appetizing. There was also cereal, warm oatmeal, grits and a waffle maker too. It might not be the worst free hotel breakfast we have had, but it was near the bottom. The employees at the counter were nice during our stay, but there was one employee that I encountered at the breakfast that had a nasty attitude towards guests. Like I said, it's a solid, inexpensive hotel to stay at, but don't expect anything more for the price point.

The first night there was yelling in the hallway right outside my door late at night. Like we are in the bad part of town Apparently two people were having some kind of dispute on their phone in the hallway, and while the front desk eventually addressed it, it should never have gotten that far in the first place. Breakfast was also poorly managed. The first morning they were out of most of the food, including eggs, and the selection was extremely limited. The second day things were better, which makes me assume they simply didn't have supplies the first day. I can live with those things. Hotels have off days. What I cannot live with is what happened the second night. At 10:53 PM, a refrigerated food truck parked directly outside my room and ran all night long. The noise was constant and made it impossible to sleep. When I called the desk, I was told -- and I quote -- "Sorry, he's a very important guest to us." So apparently one guest with a truck is more important than the rest of the people in the hotel. I spoke with multiple guests at breakfast the next morning who were also upset about the noise, so this wasn't just me. What made it worse was the lack of management. Aurora at the desk was polite and tried to help, but she had no way to reach the General Manager, no number for a regional manager, and no contact for Aimbridge Hospitality. In a situation where guests can't sleep and there is a complaint affecting multiple rooms, there should absolutely be someone available to make a decision. Instead, I had to start looking up corporate contacts myself. The hotel itself also feels run down. The property looks worn, the parking lot is cracked, paint is peeling, and the overall cleanliness is not what I expect from a Hampton Inn. The location also has gated parking and constant flashing police lights nearby, which does not give the impression of a particularly safe area, especially for someone traveling alone. I tried to resolve this under the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, and the initial response was a 50% discount. After being kept up all night by a truck the hotel allowed to park outside guest rooms, that is not a reasonable resolution. When I said I would need to escalate the issue, the tone changed and it even felt like the offer might be taken back, which only made the situation worse. What surprised me most is that as a lifetime Diamond member, loyalty didn't seem to matter at all. One "important guest" with a truck was given priority over everyone else in the hotel. I don't normally leave reviews like this, but the combination of * noise all night * lack of management availability * poor condition of the property * questionable location * and a very dismissive response makes it hard to recommend this hotel to anyone. If you're a frequent traveler, or especially if you're traveling alone, I would think twice before staying here. not sure this is a safe hotel -- and they clearly don't care about frequent travelers

It's located pretty much in the center of TMC, meaning that you're getting the hustle and bustle, and well... sirens. Even though I was on a higher floor, it was still pretty noisy. I got upgraded complements of Marriott, and the room was well stocked with coffee, a fridge, and even robes and aromatherapy. A microwave would've been a nice touch. It was in great condition, but I noticed the alarm clock was broken. Overall, staff was super friendly! I felt welcomed throughout my stay and that was definitely the highlight of it.

Throughout the evening, my event was repeatedly interrupted regarding noise concerns. Each time, I complied and lowered the music as requested. Despite this, warnings continued and the tone became increasingly escalatory. A manager identified as Miguel approached my hired DJ in an aggressive manner and repeatedly threatened to shut down the event, even after adjustments had already been made. When outside alcohol and smoking were brought to my attention, I immediately instructed security to remove the individuals involved. I actively worked to bring the event into compliance. Despite these efforts, the interruptions continued, which created tension and caused several guests to leave early. I do want to acknowledge Alex from security, who remained professional and made a genuine effort to de-escalate the situation. His approach was calm and respectful and stood in contrast to the tone used elsewhere. Following the event, my concerns were escalated to the Sales Director, Veronica Buezo. Unfortunately, the response felt dismissive and focused solely on policy enforcement rather than acknowledging the disruption to the guest experience and the manner in which the situation was handled. My concern is not with enforcement of policies, but with how it was handled. The repeated interruptions, aggressive communication, and lack of collaborative coordination significantly impacted what was meant to be a celebratory milestone event. While the venue itself is beautiful, the handling of this event fell short and negatively affected the overall experience.

The room was very comfortable, if you wanted to reheat food I believe they allow you to use a microwave downstairs (always call and verify as things can change). There are mini refrigerators in each room. I didn't check if the pool was open so I cannot comment on that. Central location. There's a Mendocino farms nearby if it's important to you to eat fiber rich and protein rich foods it's an excellent option. I love their salads and the lemon chicken soup. While I did check out early in the morning, I had the hotel hold onto my luggage all day, free of charge well except for a tip. They have a valet at the front that is pretty much there very early and very late. There are spectacular murals all over downtown houston. Love this hotel.
