This Hampton Inn and suites location was in a prime retail area. Very conveniently located to the freeways, various retail stores and restaurants are within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Located right next-door to the Hampton Inn is the Cinemark movie theater so essentially this location had everything you needed within a short distance. Let's talk about the establishment! It had enough parking available, and was renovated recently. We stayed in an ADA accessible room which had enough space for my daughter and her knee scooter. The ladies and gentlemen in the reception area were always very nice and courteous greeting us every time with a smile. I liked that they offered cookies for a midday, snack, and hot water decaf, and regular coffee was always available and hot! This establishment offers free breakfast every day from 6 to 10 AM and the breakfast offerings were decent, switched out menu every morning, which was appreciated. There are only three floors to this establishment, which made it nice and cozy, an elevator access did not take too long. They clean your room every other day, and there are the usual necessities available in the shower, such as hair, shampoo, hair, conditioner, and body wash which all smelled so good! For any other necessities, it was also very convenient that there was a dollar tree located directly across the street walking distance. I loved how centrally located it was. There was a big thunderstorm one of the days that we were here, and we believe that the AC unit might have blown out. We placed a call to the front desk and within minutes someone was knocking at our door ready to fix the AC. It may have been the owner, I'm not too sure however he was really kind and you can tell took responsibility and accountability for the hotel amenities. Again, it was much appreciated. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Houston to visit family and will certainly be back to this location. read more

Stayed in this hotel in Memorial Dat weekend and the experience was horrible. When making the reservation there was no mention on the construction. When checking in I did see the "Pardon the mess" sign, but that was a little too late. I reserved an ADA room and when I got out of the elevator I saw that the door was propped open using the lock. The front desk indicated that the plumbers needed to access the plumbing. As a single female, this is a huge security issue for me, not to mention that I have no idea of the cleanliness of the workers. There was a lot of noise and when I called down to ask about the hours the construction workers would be working, I was informed they would start at 8am on Sunday and to expect it to be noisy. I have no idea why they thought doing construction on a Memorial Day weekend in a sold out hotel was a good idea. The room needed attention. The curtain didn't open, the faucet dripped and the run bench was disassembled and moved to under the sink. The carpet was stained and there was blue painters tape holding something above the shower. My concerns with both the front desk and with Hampton Inn corporate were ignored. read more

Not to be confused with the Hamper Inn, where they give you an Easter Hamper with each check in, although I hope that doesn't Hamper anyone's progress. There's nothing wrong with this Hampton Inn, except for the fact that the AC units don't work very well. When we stay here we notice the rooms are just a little too hot, and it's Houston so that's unacceptable, even with the AC on max, and they need to realize that in Houston AC units are beyond vital and need to be the best thing about the room, not merely passable. read more

Very nice remodeled room we stayed in. Promptly would fix our issue with no shampoo in our room. And our digital key did not work so they were apologetic and printed out key cards. Very friendly and clean. A nice warm breakfast tended to by a kind staff person and kept nice and tidy. read more

My friend and I checked in to a friendly clerk and went to our room on the third floor. We turned the AC all the way down (65) and went to dinner. When we returned our room was very warm and we called someone up. She tried the unit with no luck and moved us to a room on the 2nd floor. Same result. I can tell you with no doubt that our room never attained a low temp of 65 because I had coconut oil as my moisturizer and it's melting point is around 75 degrees. And it was liquefying. We slept poorly all night because our room was too hot. The owners aren't putting enough Freon in the AC units to keep the rooms cool to save money at the expense of the guests. The 65 on the thermostat was a sham. Never got that cool, or even close. read more

I needed a place to sit for 5 hour video training meeting as we were traveling with our 5th wheel from Conroe, Texas to Rockport, Texas. As a Diamond member, I frequent Hilton properties regularly and thought I might be able to utilize the lobby of the local Hampton Inn so gave them a call. I spoke with Mr. Patel- he was very pleasant and agreed to allow me to sit in their lobby for my training. When I arrived, the desk clerk looked in the log, indicated my request was there and told me to help myself to anywhere in the lobby. Was doing multiple account visits recently in the Houston area over two days and usually stay in Katy, but they were booked up at Hilton and Hampton. Rosenberg was just a few miles down the road and had honestly never really been there. Nice little town and the Hampton Inn was perfectly located. Right next to the Cinemark Theatre, multiple restaurants both chain and local flavors, Target etc. Hotel is reasonably new it appears and like most smaller city Hilton properties, they seem to really try a little extra to make you feel welcome with the hopes of getting repeat business customer use. Was greeted warmly by two staff members and my cards were already to go. They also had upgrade me to a suite, which is always appreciated. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Fridge worked well, always a plus. Only negative was TV on the dresser to left of bed, so at a bit of an angle, but not a real issue. Lady at front desk called after about 15 minutes or so to make sure everything was to my satisfaction etc and to offer local restaurant suggestions. That is a nice touch that seems to happen more at smaller locations. Breakfast was solid, per usual. Standard Hilton fare of eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffle machine, pastries, juices etc. Eggs had decent flavor and hash browns were really good, not dry. Employee working the bkfst was very friendly and stopped by a few times to see if I needed a refill etc. Great location, staff and will be a repeat visit for myself when in that section of Houston. read more

Almost a perfect score! Let me tell you the junior sweets are well worth the trip here! Small fridge and sink with a microwave clean tables and a pull out sofa! Beds are comfey with your choice of soft or hard pillow! Will be honest though.. Water Pressure sucks so don't expect a great shower! read more

I'm staying at the Hampton Inn while in town for business. The hotel is in a nice location, near restaurants and shopping. From what I've seen, it is one of the nicer hotel options in the area. It is moderately clean and maintained. My coworker was given a room that didn't appear to be cleaned (i.e. unmade bed). My room smells like cigarette smoke and there are smudges of something on the headboard (eek!). The complementary breakfast is pretty standard. The beds are large and comfy, and I appreciate having a USB plugin available near the night stand. I'll likely stay here again, because it's what the State will pay for! read more

The hotel is a few minutes off the main highway but provides a quiet, peaceful stay as there is no road noise. Behind the hotel is a nice movie theater and across the street is a shopping strip. Room was clean and beds make for a good night. Check in was easy but a little iffy on the details. While reception was nice and made small talk, she was too fresh to be left alone at the front desk. Hilton honors was not recognized and nothing was provided. As we were walking to our rooms after given the key a more senior rep flagged us and said "Hey, we have waters for you." Nice touch that they customize the bottles with your name on it. At this point I asked if Diamond member snacks would be honored and asked for the sweet potato chips and craisins. They said they were out. I replied no problem, I'll take the points instead and was told she didn't know how. Awkward silence followed but the receptionist was quick to recover and said we could go around the corner and pick out a snack from the small snack shop. (Great save!) salvaged a star from the review! A few minutes after checkin the phone rang it was reception saying they figured out how to provide points. I told them the snack was just fine, no need to provide add the points. As a frequent customer, one expects to have the process completely seamless. A good place to stay for a day or two. read more

My room was very clean and nice. I only spent one night but the room was large enough to stay a few days comfortably. There was a free breakfast in the lobby. I did not see any eggs, but there were breads, waffles, and cereals galore. The staff was friendly, and I felt very safe coming and going. There was still a lot of displaced people from the floods when I was there, but everyone was pleasant though there were tons of children at breakfast. Overall I would definitely stay here again. read more

Well, I have earned my 250 thousandth point from my Hilton account, and there are many of them that are A-OK or four stars, but this one takes the cake. Great staff, immediate upgrade to a lovely suite, a 100% guarantee, free razor (Idiot that I am forgot mine!!), solid breakfast, and access to a movie theatre, restaurants, etc around the area. I may not find myself in Rosenberg, Texas too often, but I have a mainstay hotel when I do. read more

At 7 AM, out of most breakfast items - eggs, meat, OJ, etc. Woman working area said it would be at least 30 minutes before new items available. Internet not working at useful speed. I cannot say that my concerns were resolved to my satisfaction. It was unacceptable with how the General Manager of the Hampton Inn & Suites in Rosenberg, TX handled this matter. I would expect that when someone has booked a room well in advance and receives confirmation, that the room confirmed would be available. I received a call on the morning of my check-in from the desk clerk and General manager at Hampton Inn & Suites in Rosenberg, TX. The desk clerk informed me that my confirmed booking for Friday Feb. 23rd - Check out Sunday Feb. 25th. for a 2 queen beds room suite, would not be available. I asked why it would not be available, she would only say that the room was not available. She offered me a room with a king bed and said it was just as spacious as a suite. I explained that the king was not an option as the second adult was my son. She added that the room had a sofa pull out. I explained that I do not pay to sleep on a sofa pull out I can do that at no cost in local family members' homes. She then offered the standard room with 2 queen beds. I asked her again "why the suite that was booked over 2 weeks ago was not available". She then placed me on hold and refers the call to the G.M. I asked him, "why is my room that was booked over 2 1/2 weeks ago not available"? He stated it was not available and offered the same replacement rooms as his employee did. He was blunt and said, "I could cancel my reservation or choose one of the other rooms offered. Due to the last-minute notification, as I was about to leave to travel to Rosenberg, I had no other option but to accept the 2 queen beds standard room. Re-booking with another hotel at that time would have likely caused an increase in room rates and/or a non-availability issue. Like most people would want to know, I asked the GM what the standard rate was for the 2 queen beds. He responded to my question by saying "the room was ALREADY discounted at a military rate". I was NOT asking for more discounts!!!! Something important to mention here is that my husband chooses to use a military discount when offered solely because it is being offer in appreciation for his military service. The GM then says in an unwilling, hesitant, and disinclined manner that I could have the replacement room for $89 a night. At this point I felt humiliated. Most guests would think that there would be a sincere verbal or gestures of apologies upon arrival, throughout stay, and/or upon leaving. The lack of this and the statements of, "the room is not available" and "cancel your reservation " are indications to me that my stay did not matter to your company. Since the only vague reason that was being relayed to me that the room was not available my husband called the GM at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Rosenberg. He was not pleased with this situation and demanded to know why the room was not available for our son and me. The G.M. informed my husband that the room needed maintenance. Why was this information not provided to me when they called me? Instead, repeatedly I was only being provided by the desk clerk and GM that my room was not available. If the desk clerk would have or the GM would have been upfront in the initial call with me, this would have not escalated to this level of dissatisfaction. In conclusion, the employee and the G. M. were not being forthcoming during the call with me and therefore it makes me believe that there was not a maintenance issue. Possibly what took place was that a former guest extended their stay or there was a reservation change by another guest. Should this be the case the situation, it was not addressed properly per your company *Reservation Rules and Restrictions. When I checked in I asked the desk employee why would a suite that would be book weeks ago not be available She stated that sometimes a current guest extends their stay. This action IS NOT in accordance to Hilton's rules and regulation. A guest's request to lengthen their stay or chain their reservation in any manner is subject to room availability. *Reservation Rules and Restrictions: (Acquired from email confirmation) Any change to the arrival date, departure date or room type of this reservation is subject to the hotel's availability at the time the change is requested and may result in a possible rate change or an additional fee. For example, shortening or lengthening your reservation is subject to availability and may not be possible at a later date. This is not the way my weekend trip should have begun!
