Mess? Yes, there were supplies all over the place, but the noise was a huge issue
    Sharon R.

Stayed in this hotel in Memorial Dat weekend and the experience was horrible. When making the reservation there was no mention on the construction. When checking in I did see the "Pardon the mess" sign, but that was a little too late. I reserved an ADA room and when I got out of the elevator I saw that the door was propped open using the lock. The front desk indicated that the plumbers needed to access the plumbing. As a single female, this is a huge security issue for me, not to mention that I have no idea of the cleanliness of the workers. There was a lot of noise and when I called down to ask about the hours the construction workers would be working, I was informed they would start at 8am on Sunday and to expect it to be noisy. I have no idea why they thought doing construction on a Memorial Day weekend in a sold out hotel was a good idea. The room needed attention. The curtain didn't open, the faucet dripped and the run bench was disassembled and moved to under the sink. The carpet was stained and there was blue painters tape holding something above the shower. My concerns with both the front desk and with Hampton Inn corporate were ignored.

We stayed here for two nights, The hotel smells like old, the room was not quite what we thought we would get, and really small room.

These are the roads around the Hampton. Get it? Hampton Roads?

Not to be confused with the Hamper Inn, where they give you an Easter Hamper with each check in, although I hope that doesn't Hamper anyone's progress. There's nothing wrong with this Hampton Inn, except for the fact that the AC units don't work very well. When we stay here we notice the rooms are just a little too hot, and it's Houston so that's unacceptable, even with the AC on max, and they need to realize that in Houston AC units are beyond vital and need to be the best thing about the room, not merely passable.

We got in for a cheer competition at 2am and they could not locate our reservation which was booked on the Marriott app. After an hour of attempting to locate, the front office lady was so kind and gave us a room for the night so her manager could address in the morning. He had everything taken care of before I arrived the next morning and was so accommodating. The rooms on the other hand were pretty old and had an off putting musty smell. I wish the remodeling that occurred was a little better. The small sink in the toilet room was a bit off putting and the sliding doors did not work well. This was challenging since we had male and females in the room and wanted to have privacy during toilet time.

Here today! I…read morethought my stay at Motel 6 was going to be great, at least for under the 2 weeks I was going to be there. Nick Patel the manager greeted me in and appeared to be a nice guy. He gave me a rate of $395 for the week stay, Extended Stay America was $465 for the week. I explained every clearly that I was staying at least 7 days but was staying longer just waiting on confirmation. I asked to see the room assigned before I packed all my belongings which was a good thing, (rm109 I think)had bed bugs, room 2 a smell, room 3 on the 3rd floor was strictly for smokers which WAS NOT just tobacco. I didn't think to take a picture of the bedbugs because y'all on my life, Nick seems like an upstanding guy he only charged me $57 a night so from experience when you stay at motels they dookie anyways. Anywho, after the 4th attempt Mr. Patel knew his rooms were dookie so he offered me double beds for the price of a single room. The motel is NOT an extended stay so I made accommodations by using my good friend's cooler to store food and drinks. After 3 days, Mr. Patel stopped me as I was going out to run errands and told me he was offering me a larger fridge. Calm b4 the storm per my 3rd eye, he brought me over a full size refrigerator brand new. I was awaken out of a good nap by my neighbors across the hall having a full blown fight. Yes, they were cussing each other slamming doors, another room who had a dog it was barking its head off cause it was on a popping. The lady was yelling "Somebody call the police, he's going to kill me!" He was kicking the door yelling at her to open it and that went on for a good 20 minutes before the police arrived. Ole dude was cursing the cops and being belligerent, the lady cop slammed him against the wall ASKING yes ASKING him to calm down. Eye Witnesses News (me lol) opens my door because I wanted to see him tased because the entire incident was something to report. As I'm trying to film, my phone's camera light shines bright like a diamond and now she was walking him past my door in cuffs, ole dude hawked up a wad of spit I shut my door because either it was for my reporter self or the cop lady. Ok so, she takes him outside, now his girlfriend yelling "Don't take him to jail" all the while he acting up with the cop, now 2 more cops show up. To make that long story short, THEY LET HIM GO. Later that day and beyond THEY/HE still guests in the hotel! WHERE, WHO, HOW,WHEN, WHAT, they do that? I prayed to Archangel Michael to protect me because there was no way, for the safety of all guests they should have been allowed to stay. On my 7th day, I went to extend for 5 more days, Mr. Man jacks up my room rate to $75 nightly, plus he stated if I down graded my room he was NOT offering me the large fridge. I give him THAT look, I then ask how much for the single room? "$400 for 5 nights." I give him my evil eye stare and say ok I'll book online. I go to my room compare web prices, I promise on everything I love I found the double bed at $65 nightly. I went turn to get my debt card info and the system wouldn't allow payment. I refreshed my screen he quickly jacked up the rate. I meditated, meditation brings answers. God Said Go (in my Melody Roger's voice). Quit playing with me, now you get nith Here today! There tomorrow!

Great experience here -- the gal at the counter who was able to get me a room the evening I walked…read morein after driving all day -- was very helpful. She made sure that my best western rewards account was getting points for this purchase. She also told me that the hotel i stayed at the night before could retroactively have points added to it if i called customer care. She asked if i had a preference on floor, or end of the building. It just was a lot of questions i'm not typically used to being asked about location. I told her i was hauling a trailer with an F250 and there wasn't really a place for me to park. So, i was currently in a placed parked emergency lane -- she told me that the truck that i parked next to was also in the same boat, and it would be a non-issue, she would let the manager know. I went to my room, and noticed a full keurig set up, plenty of towels, and a clean shower. Perfect, time to eat and pass out. Upon waking up, i went to breakfast and there was quite the spread of food, a 3d printer thing for pancakes, breakfast burritos, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, fruit, cereal, you name it. I had a decent amount of food and got back on the road. It was a great stay, great breakfast, and great woman working the desk. My only regret is not getting her name, so i could call her out by name in this review.
