Had my son's wedding reception here and some things didn't go as planned. First the hotel ordered the wrong size of table linens, so they had to reorder them & my wife had to be the one pick them up herself. Second we had 140 guest and we were told there was going to be two bartenders, we only had one. That was a mess too many guests for one bartender. Especially, when we are providing an open bar for our guest, which was told to the hotel person that my wife was dealing with. In my opinion I don't think it was organized very well for the number of guest we had. Lesson learn get everything in writing as to what's being provided. Overall it's a clean place, lacking any amenities with a mediocre staff. We arrived early evening and the front desk staff was pleasant. Didn't really go out of their way to welcome us. The late night staff "Santa clause" seemed a bit overwhelmed with a surge of guests checking in. When I asked for more towels (we received 2 for a listed 3 people) he asked me to come get it . But huge props to Eliana who needs to be promoted big time for doing everything with a big smile. She went out of her way each time to provide excellent service. read more

This was the second hotel we stayed at in the area after switching from the craphole embassy suites, and it was a lot better but there are some major issues with the bathroom in our room. We just needed a place to sleep and shower in the evenings for two nights and this hotel has a lot of good going for it. The staff are all super nice and efficient, the hotel and the rooms are very clean. The room was spacious and had a good layout. The bed was perfectly firm and not soft, I absolutely loved the bed and slept very well here. There was no bug infestation - I saw no bugs - no bugs in the lobby, no bugs in the halls, no bugs in the room, and even by the outdoor pool at night - no bugs. The biggest problem we had with our room (4th floor) was the bathroom. It was clean however there was NO cold water in the shower - it just went from really warm to hot. The shower drain was not plumbed correctly. There was no smell initially, but after turning on the water, within seconds there was an awful rancid sewer smell coming from the drain. We don't even take long showers and it was so strong and unbearable. The smell was not there when the water is off so idk what was wrong it. The toilet flusher thing was also wonky on the first day, and by the second day, it disconnected itself, but I was able to fix that myself. There was a large hole that had water damage by bottom of the shower. The sink was not affixed properly and every time we used the faucet it would move up and down and there was water leaking around the top of the sink. I could easily forgive the other issues in the bathroom but the shower was awful. We swam in the pool one night and the pool area was next to the fitness room and was small but nice. The pool was shallow and not heated, so it was perfect for a cold dip. The parking was not secure but it was plentiful and free. The cookies are so artificial and bad now, like crunchy oily rocks so skip those. I would absolutely stay here again if we got a room with a properly working shower because everything else here was above average. read more

We were unfortunately woken up at 8:00 AM by loud construction happening directly outside our window. There was constant hammering and drilling -- not exactly the relaxing experience you expect when booking a stay. We contacted the front desk to see if the construction could at least be paused temporarily, but we were told there was nothing they could do. It was disappointing to receive that response, especially given the circumstances. What's most frustrating is that this happened on Valentine's Day weekend -- one of the busiest and most important weekends for hospitality. Scheduling disruptive construction during that time feels inconsiderate to guests who are paying for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Every visit reminds us why we return over and over. A difficult stay over the weekend. My husband passed 4/1/25. We're returning to view his grave marker and place flowers there a year later. The staff at Double Tree were aware of the purpose as flowers for the cemetery were delivered to the reception area. Florist couldn't deliver to grave. Cemetery would not take delivery nor place on grave for us. The Double Tree took all that stress away and allowed our daughter and me to respectfully complete another leg of this lonesome journey. Fantastic hotel!!! I booked a king suite with balcony. The balcony is huge and completely enclosed Which I love! the room is clean and very large with a separate living area. I'm disappointed We are only staying one night. They also offer you a warm chocolate chip oatmeal cookie upon check-in, which was delicious. My Husband, I, and our two grandsons, ages 4 & 10, were in town to celebrate the 4-year-old's birthday at Disneyland. We got in late and noticed the smell of smoke in the room and the TV not working, which triggered severe allergic reactions in my neurodivergent grandson. The desk clerk "noted" the smell and attempted to fix the TV, but could not. Since it was late, we decided to address it in the morning and slept with the balcony door open. I went down in the morning and waited 5-10 minutes to speak with the front desk person. Upon her arrival, I mentioned how long I had been waiting, only to be told that I was a liar and that I wasn't waiting that long. I requested a manager who was not in at the time. Upon my return, I spoke to the manager, Mya Soto, and gave her an account of my experience at the hotel, requesting that the TV be fixed. This resulted in her telling me that I was the problem, I was uncivilized and aggressive, the police called, and I was evicted from the hotel. Prior to the police and vacating the property, she did send maintenance to fix the TV (which he did). Then she called to inform us that we are not a good fit for the hotel and that they had called the police. Fullerton police arrived and, upon listening to both Ms. Soto and me and reviewing the hotel footage, did not agree with Ms. Soto's description of the encounter that was captured on the hotel cameras and told her that there was no disorderly conduct, that her account was unfounded, and that vacating the premises was unwarranted. Traveling with a special needs child is extremely challenging, then throw in law enforcement and a relocation; sadly, my grandson did not recover, and the trip was ruined. I am grateful for the Fullerton Police Department, specifically CpL. Elkabbara and her team of Officers. This false accusation could have had grave consequences for my family and me. read more

The rooms have EXTREMELY loud jets on a runway-like exhaust fans. You can't run the AC without it. It's either on the whole time or set to auto and kicks on every few minutes. Even with the TV to the loudest setting I couldn't hear a movie because of how obnoxiously loud it is. I'm probably going to sleep like crap tonight. Apparently there were no other rooms available. For $220+ a night I'm pretty annoyed. Additionally even with gold Hilton Honors they wouldn't honor a legitimate late checkout and only offered 12pm lol. 1 hour later. G thanks! I had to cancel a reservation today due to an emergency that prevented me from traveling, and the hotel still charged my credit card. In situations like this, the reservation "rules" should not apply -- emergencies happen, and that's why my bank will be handling the disputed charges on my behalf. Hotels ought to take unusual circumstances into account. As I told Hilton Diamond Customer Service, once I complete my upcoming stay at a different Hilton property, that will be my last one with any Hilton brand hotel. I was able to check in on the app, pick my room and get my digital key. Flawless execution - it worked as it was intended. Room was large, clean and quiet - comfy beds. Unfortunately didn't have enough bath towels so I got some from housekeeping. They have a covered parking garage, which was helpful when there were no more parking spaces available outside - and a door to the stairwell via key card access so easy to come and go. Thermostat is an old machine by the window - not my favorite - noisy to keep up the same temperature but it kept the room cool so that was good. The alarm clock next to the bed was set and turned on for 5 am and thankfully I noticed it before it went off, but seriously these alarm clocks need to go. No one needs that. read more

I had a bad experience for many reasons. The room was good (clean, nothing missing or broken) until we turned on the A/C, which filled the room with a strong moldy smell. The windows couldn't be cracked open either despite claims, so we agreed to switch rooms. The new room was disappointing. One of the bathroom lights wasn't working and the shower floor was dirty and had hair in a corner. There was a bad odor also, which turned out to be coming from the shower drain. We switched rooms again, but the third room was even worse. As soon as we walked in, the air was hot and stuffy, similar to that of a sauna or a bathroom after a hot shower. The windows couldn't be opened so there was absolutely no ventilation either. There were hair and dust in the drawers. The carpet was moist and sticky. The bedside lamp was falling apart and had stains inside. There was hair under the covers and a stain on one of the pillows. There was also a piece of trash in a corner and crumbs throughout the whole room. We had no other choice but to leave after that and request a full refund but the staff member Arturo was very dismissive and didn't apologize once about the whole thing. The next day, we texted the staff asking for confirmation of the full refund and to complain about Arturo. The staff member Marissa that responded was also dismissive and her short apology didn't feel sincere at all. The entire experience was awful and a waste of time- please save the stress, time, money, and trouble and book elsewhere. read more

Stayed here the other night and it was a decent experience. Booked direct and was able to check-in online via the Hilton app with a digital key. The entrance to the hotel felt unmarked at night. The entrance to the hotel was next to the Chevron gas station?!? Parking felt limited with a dozen or so dedicated spaces in front of the property, another dozen spaces in the garage, and another half dozen spaces on the upper level of the garage and lower level of the garage... There was plexiglass in front of the front desk agent. I was able to see the front desk agent's facial expression when walking through the lobby. The room itself was very large and pretty quiet, considering that the property is right in front of the 57. I was able to hear my neighbor next door unzip their luggage though... The ceiling HVAC unit behind the room door was very noisy, despite the property being recently remodeled. The shower had decent water pressure and warm water. The towels were pretty thick and the toiletries were on brand and good quality. The TV had numerous premium channels and Wifi was free for booking direct. The mattress was in decent shape. read more

My family stayed here end of December 2024 and had nothing but problems with one employee named Ray. We are Asian and it seemed he was racist. He would not let my cousin check in even though her name was listed on the reservation. My brother in law in Caucasian and Ray never had problems with him just us. When she checked out, there were room service charges listed that we did not make and he would not take them off. He gave us nothing but grief. Also the rooms were not stocked with enough toiletries, the toilet paper was down to nothing and no extra was available, also the tissues had like 3 tissues left. We stayed 3 nights in a One bedroom jetted tub suite. It was very spacious and accommodating. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and the tub was very nice and new. The front desk was very friendly! Gave us cookies anytime we asked. I loved the location of this hotel as there were many food options in walking distance. After fumbling through the sketchy parking situation (didn't feel safe leaving my car there, and the spots are quite narrow), the free cookie & water bottle made me think everything was going to be alright. The actual room was fine. Basic, no view, and beds were comfortable. The windows didn't block much noise - I could very clearly hear a car backfiring as it drove by. The bathroom was fine. (I read the reviews about the king/jacuzzi rooms and their bathroom lights, but I didn't have that problem in the non-king room. The non-king room has a solid door that doesn't allow light through.) But I went to take a shower and there were only 2 washcloths and a shower mat. No bath towels nor hand towels. What?! I've never experienced that at a hotel/motel. I called the front desk to ask for some to be brought to my room. They didn't seem at all surprised that I had no bath towels. And towels never made it up to the room. So much for a shower. I had another reservation scheduled for when I'll be in the area next, but I've canceled that and will be staying somewhere else. read more

The bathroom has an exhaust fan and the toilet lid is slow closing (I'm very picky about. Only 15 min to Disneyland and easy to get there. Around lots of food and gas stations. Five stars for a Holiday Inn? I say, yes. The room was clean and spacious room and had a very attractive, good-sized bathroom and shower. The room even had an enormous jacuzzi tub inside of the main living space but I'm not into cooties unless I'm highly intoxicated. There's a pool and a sit-down cafe. I saw the breakfast buffet but didn't partake. I honestly don't know if it's free or not. Maybe for certain guests or members of their hotel program it is. The bed wasn't exactly the most comfortable one in the world but it was fine. Free parking and there's plenty of it. When most hotels jam you with ridiculous "resort" fees and parking charges, it's refreshing to not pay those absurd charges. Excellent price on a weekday night. There's good value here and they delivered what I needed. So, yes, five stars. read more

Stayed at this Double Tree over the weekend between a Disney day and a Knott's Berry Farm day and this location was perfect for both. We got checked in by Edith who was extremely sweet and helpful. I was unsure what to expect because the parking lot seemed kind of rough but was pleasantly surprised seeing our king suite. It featured a huge jacuzzi tub that opened to the bedroom. The hotel staff here is dishonorable, which certainly doesn't match their "Hilton Honors" designation. We had our 40th reunion in Fullerton on Aug 3. We had a deal with the last manager that the points that non-Honors members would have accumulated would go to my Hilton Honors account. That manager quit and now the staff is refusing to honor the deal, saying that EVERYONE - EVERYONE (!) had a Hilton account. Sure they did. Note that this is after three weeks of them turning us down and not honoring our agreement. So we chose this hotel, and not the Marriott across the freeway, because of the points, and they reneged and are refusing to dole them out. After we sent over a dozen people there who booked rooms for at least one night, and at least two dozen, probably three, who drank at the hotel bar the night before. Thousands of dollars spent at their business because of us and we got nothing but "too bad" from them. Issac at the front fest was the rudest receptionist at a Hilton property that I have ever encountered. I have been a Hilton honors member for 20 plus years. The room was very nice. We had the suite with the large patio that was a bonus. Everything else was very basic. The pool is only 3 feet deep and is open in the blazing sun. We recently booked 8 rooms for our company at this hotel. The hotel made the mistake of putting all 8 rooms under one confirmation number. When one of our team members had to cancel his room, the hotel inexplicably cancelled all 8 rooms, one week prior to our arrival. We noticed right away and called the hotel to fix the mistake but they had already "sold" all the rooms. I spoke to the manager and instead of rectifying the situation they were careless of our situation. This left our entire team without accommodations at the last minute. The facility itself is outstanding. But I won't be back. The best building in the category cannot overcome a lack of labor, service, and the fact the team has forgotten they are in the hospitality business. Check-in was pleasant, though the wait was overly long. I'd chalk that up to "one in a row" but EVERY visit to the front desk was met with a lengthy wait. Come check out time, there was nobody there at all. I could overlook this BUT... ANY servicing of the room must be requested IN DETAIL by submitting a form to the front desk. Upon check-in, I was given the piece of paper and told to post it by my room number in the AM. It was posted by 7:30AM. When I returned at 10:00PM to find no service had been performed, I visited the front desk and asked for a manager. The person at the desk said he was the manager. I explained the situation and that's when he told me I'd need to have completed the form describing, IN DETAIL, specifically what service(s) were desired AND I'd need to deliver the form to the front desk. That's SERVICE?! Unacceptable for a hotel of this category/price point and even less acceptable as a Hilton Diamon led member. So the manager asked me how many towels I'd like, if I wanted "a bath mat too" and if I wanted coffee. Then the questions extended to cream and whether or not I wanted coffee cups. He fulfilled the request and I walked my towels and coffee back to the room. Then I moved the prior, wet towels from the shower to the tub. I suppose I could have also taken out my trash. I'm not going to let Hilton off the hook and chalk this up to the COVID overhang, concern about the environment, or a labor shortage. The property CLEARLY wants an excuse to dramatically limit services to save on labor and overhead. So where is the HOSPITALITY within this beautiful building. NOWHERE to be found. Check-in cookies does not overcome the overwhelming lack of service at the property. Hilton Fullerton, Marriott beats you hands down. And it is just down the street. We had a great experience on our short stay. We needed a one night stay and I chose this hotel based on reviews and the location was very close to where we needed to go. Our check in was 5/12/23 and Isaac checked us In. He was the only person at the counter and he was on a phone call when I arrived. He helped that client , me & my husband and another guest who was waiting after me all in a timely manner and very nice. Our room was on the 5th floor and the room was nicer than expected. Touch powered blinds for the windows, the bathroom vanity mirror was awesome. The room was exceptionally clean decent size and very comfortable. It had a mini fridge in the room as well. The elevator was right on the opposite wall so when we first arrived to our room 504 I thought it was going to be an issue and keep us up and we needed to get up early. We actually never heard the elevator , the ice machine which was Nearby and we never heard any doors or people walking past. It was very quiet to my surprise. I would definetly rate our room 10/10 and we will be back if we ever need to visit that area again. read more

I am a Hilton Honors member and i travel frequently; at least once a week. I booked a king room with jetted tub to ensure a relaxing evening after a hectic work week. I was checked in by a "supervisor" Devin who was less than helpful. I booked my stay through hotels.com as i often do, so when a Hilton property is unavailable i am still able to earn rewards. She would not add my Hilton rewards number to my reservation ( i have NEVER had an issue with this even when booked through a third party. ) I asked to purchase cookies and she informed me i would just be getting the free one all guests receive. I had to ask for a second room key and was not given the wifi password. I paid for my room with my credit card and she charged me 300 for incidentals when at any other hilton property it's $50 a night and I'm only staying one night. I signed a waiver at check in that states hilton honors members could check out at noon as opposed to 11. I requested to check out at 11 as i am a member and the property is quite empty. She declined and told me i have no access to hh benefits since i booked through a third party. I travel weekly and have NEVER been denied or treated so poorly. I am disgusted with Devin's terrible customer service and dismissive attitude. I will be filling a complaint with the general manager and have already filed a direct complaint with Hilton Honors. Devin is a poor representation on a usually stellar company. She should be retrained as her current treatment of guests , at least this African American guest was beyond unacceptable. read more

First impressions are that the hotel takes pride in presentation. The lobby is clean and our room smelled fresh and was spotless. It was a huge room with lots of space to spread out. I'm always suspect when we get a decent price on a hotel room but I was not disappointed. The only thing I questioned was whether the bedding is changed between customers because they seemed a bit wrinkled. It was quiet, as well, despite the busy corner where it is located. The windows had double shades and successful in keeping out the bright lights outside. Every member of staff was exceptionally friendly! As of today, the signs on the front doors regarding masks need to be updated to the signs indoors, where masks are optional for vaccinated people. read more
