We have generally avoided this…read morebrand within the Marriott family after poor experiences but decided to give this one a shot since it was a newer hotel and in a different format than the traditional town house units of Towne Place Suites. I do wonder how Marriott marketing tries to differentiate this suite brand from their Residence Inns which I prefer...? This location is very tricky to get to since it is on a road that is basically a 60mph street with no turn/exit lanes. If coming from the west good luck accessing the place. Also leaving the parking lot onto this highway is a danger especially with Boston drivers! At check-in the one clerk was totally consumed with a customer dealing with some non-check -in issue. Finally after waiting 10 minutes she decided to divert her attention and check me in. When I asked about a room upgrade as an elite member she mumbled something about them being booked up but it was clear from the parking lot that this place was pretty empty. This was the fourth Marriott property we stayed at on this trip and the least friendly front desk. The room was fine especially since it is a newer property though we did report an issue with the shower door automatically opening while showering causing a mini flood. Also the bathroom was tiny. The free breakfast was by far the skimpiest we have encountered at any Marriott property that provides a breakfast. It was surprising how limited the choices were. Also this breakfsst was shared with the Fairfield Inn which is in the same building (the Sheraton also in the same building does not offer free breakfast but I am not sure what stops there guests from eating here.) Overall a pretty mediocre experience.

The bed was cozy, but the pillows deserve their own shoutout, they were unbelievably comfortable, the kind you actually miss once you get home. Down at the bar, Tom made the experience even better. He mixed up one of the best mules I've ever had and was genuinely great to talk with...friendly, and welcoming. Definitely a place I'd stay again, both for the comfort and the hospitality.

I noticed that, as a Diamond member, they still wanted me to pay for breakfast! It utterly astonishes me the low end places like this still try to charge for breakfast, when so many cheaper places than this, many of them other Hilton Garden Inns, offer free breakfast! Also, they only give Diamond members a $10 food and beverage credit, so it won't even completely cover it if you have more than one guest and get two totaling $20. Don't go anywhere near the concession area there! Yeah sure they have lots of garbage for sale, but when I wanted a single small pizza and a small box of stuffed pizza rolls, plus a water, the bill was $25 for THAT! And the way they try to absolve them selves to blame it on the third party they use to provide the stuff! FYI, my fridge was broken and completely frosted over, so it wouldn't even cool my waters. There was a pizza box with a partially consumed pizza in it too! Yuck! And now my favorite part of the visit, the parking scam they pull there! Because there was a Patriots game happening the night I was there, they tried to hit me with a $60 parking fee too! Upon check in, I discovered this hustle and rebelled against it as soon as I was given a free spot in the retail area in the bigger parking area, due to my disabled placard. Guess what?! Despite telling everyone, from the valet staff, to the manager of the front desk that I had removed my vehicle from the hotel's parking lot, they left it on my bill anyway! When I approached the front desk manager, she told me "it was no problem and would be removed as soon as she spoke to the valet staff to make sure that my car hadn't spent the night in their lot." Then, when she realized that I had outsmarted them and parked in Gillette Stadium's lot, which gives free parking to retail customers at their public restaurants and especially disabled people, she moved the goalpost and tried to charge me ANYWAY! What a cvnt! She stood her ground! I left furious and complained to Hilton Diamond and they told me someone had removed the charge after I left. I'm assuming the GM overruled her robbery of me! Needless to say, anything you do in this hotel is ala cart and they have the excuse of a third party to justify every scam! You have to demand your folio upon check in to see what games they're playing and don't bring a car on the property, event just to unload. The valet guys insist on asking your name and room number before you check in and automatically throw a valet ticket in your car to begin the scam so your car is already theirs, even if you tell them you're not parking with them in the valley service. It's a gang of thieves between the front desk staff and the valet, so beware.

We checked in late on a Thursday evening and were quickly given the keys to our room. To our surprise, the room was almost like a suite. It had a king sized bed, a pull-out couch, and a full kitchen (with a regular sized fridge). This came as a surprise to us! We thoroughly enjoyed the convenient location of the hotel and the complimentary breakfast too. The hotel itself was busy with other guests and had a good energy to it. The staff was accommodating and kind. We will definitely stay here again if in Quincy and you should too!

Free continental breakfast in the lobby was more than adequate...offering fruit, cereal, breads, yogurt, as well as some hot options including bacon. sausage, omelettes and eggs. Fitness Center was better than expected with modern treadmill and elliptical machines. Conveniently located right off of Newport Avenue and near Hancock Street (3A). I really love that they have pet-free floors. As a non-pet owner I get turned off when entering a room that is full of pet hair and odors. The hotel location is ideal as well, it's within walking distance to a gas station, grocery store and mini/strip mall with a Super Target, Dollar Tree, movie theater and multiple restaurants (fast and sit-down).

Lastly, echoing what someone else shared with the breakfast, I was a little shocked how much was pre-packaged cereals, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, muffins, etc. I was grateful they had milk alternatives available, but otherwise not the best showing there either.

The restaurant (thanks for the menu adaption) and surrounding lounge area (with many books of local interest/history!) has great views of Boston's goings on, and it is steps away from many medical centers. So- a welcome stress reliever for patient and caregiver! Our room was spacious and quiet, and the warm pool is one of the best I've been in- with views of the city! Smallish, but has a spot with a current so you can just swim - or just relax at the end of the day. Valet parking was worth it, and it is 24/7. LOVED IT- will be back!

Bonus points for the awesome on-site restaurant, Punch Bowl. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the hotel. Furthermore, I advise people to use extreme caution when checking in to the hotel. Sadly, the culture there has changed for the worst. I was absolutely astonished by the behavior of the general manager, and their staff. We were in town as I was receiving infusions at Brigham. We decided to use our rewards points for a total of FIVE nights. Booking and redemption of my reward nights were not an issue. The issues started brewing the second night into my stay. As a diamond member, you are eligible for $10 food/beverage credit, per day/per guest. We frequently dine at the on-site restaurant, Punch Bowl. This is where the problems really kicked off. I approached the desk on the second day of my reservation. I had to fight and argue to get the food/beverage credit added to the folio. This is a reoccurring issue that repeated itself every day of my stay. In addition to having to fight for my F&B credits, I also had to deal with them constantly charging my credit card the incorrect amount. We even had other people's meal charges billed to my folio and credit card. It became such a problem that my card company shut off the card and are fully prepared to fight the property for a full refund of all charges. I spent over four hours over multiple days working with multiple front desk staff and front-desk managers. This was all visible on their surveillance system that is directly above the desk. On the night before checkout, I went down to try to resolve the folio and the charges on my credit card. After two hours, the night shift manager and the desk attendant both profusely apologized for the errors on both the folio and my account. They advised they were UNABLE to articulate the folio and the amount charged to my card. I was completely floored and astounded. I have spent over 400+ days with Hilton over the past year and a half. I have always had an easy to read, easy to articulate folio. Furthermore, the manager advises me their on-site restaurant is unable to process the receipts, so they're input manually when you charge the tab to your room. They admitted that they had charged someone else's charges to my folio and credit card. I was infuriated. After two hours of time wasted, they both agreed that the amount I referenced was correct. The night attendant and manager both advised that the folio would settle after they did their night audit and that both the folio and credit card would be rectified in the morning. This morning, I wake up to an emailed folio. As expected, the issues were still rife. Fed up, I headed down to the desk to lay down the law. I met with one of the managers that I had dealt with a few days prior. He basically blew me off and ignored everything that was discussed the evening before. He continually told me to "have a nice day" and told me it was resolved. It was not. I asked for the controller or general manager. With a straight face, he tells me they do not have a controller. Every hotel has a controller to handle the financial transactions of the property. After a half hour and missing breakfast, I had enough. I spoke above normal conversational level and advised others in the lobby to check their folio. This immediately produced a magical response. The rep at the desk finally admits they have a General Manager. He calls the GM. Not two minutes later the GM comes flying off the elevator. It was a gentlemen in his early 50s-60s. Immediately, I could literally feel the anger and disgust towards me. I knew it wasn't going to go well. I was right on that. I attempt to explain how I had spent hours the night prior and that I had a handwritten post-it from his manager with the proper amount to be charged. I told him that I'd bet it was the same color post-it as he had behind the desk. He smirks at me and his staff and calls me "crazy". Additionally, I pointed to the camera directly above us. I told him to go and check the camera from last night and that he'd see us standing there for two hours trying to resolve the folio. Again, he smirks and calls me crazy. He asks me when my reservation ended. I advised that it would be at 12PM. He replies: "Great, pack your stuff and get out of my hotel." I was absolutely stunned by his behavior. I explained that I needed proper folios that are clear and concise. He continued to tell me to "get out of his hotel" and "deal with my bank". I told him I can't work with my bank without a proper folio. He continued to get in my face and continued to escalate the situation. It hit the breaking point when he asked me to "step back into his office".

We checked in late in the evening but it was so quick. We also needed ice last minute and front desk went out of there way to fill our ice bucket rather than just tell us where it was. The only thing that truly bothers me is the bump you drive over upon entering the parking lot. It feels totally unnecessary and scares you since you don't expect it as you're pulling in.

The guest key is linked to the elevator providing security. You must swipe your key card and select your floor for access. We had a wonderful stay. The facility and grounds were well taken care of. Beth and Joey at the front desk were very helpful. We had a ceiling light and stove light out and the maintenance and engineering tech was very fast, pleasant, and easy to work with (sorry I didn't catch his name) and got it fixed right off. The kitchen worked out well. We cooked a few things and was glad to have a full fridge and freezer. Everything worked well and was stocked nicely. The temperature controls and unit worked well. They have a nice gym, walking path, doggies station, breakfast area, common seating areas and outdoor space. The only thing that was a bit disheartening were a few of the guests didn't always pick up after their pooches. Thankfully there were plenty of waste baggies so I did my fair share of clean up. I am really thankful to have pet friendly places to stay and wish other people did their part. We did have a run in with a guest who couldn't manage their two dogs so word of caution to be alert around other pups. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options such as oat milk, vegan foods, hot oatmeal, bagels, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and vegan sausage. Lots of condiments like PB, cranberry, nuts, seeds, juices and more. The staff did a great job cleaning up and keeping the food and coffee stations filled. One family with their young tots made a full blown disaster and I thanked the ladies who came up after to pick up and scrub it down. We had a king size bed with 4 pillows and extra bedding in the drawers. It was very comfortable as I've always slept well on Marriott mattresses. The room had plenty of storage to unpack, an ironing board, and updated outlets for charging. The rooms were cleaned every other day but I did ask them to come more often to vacuum up after the pup. I appreciated them very much. The view to the outside over route 9 towards the Natick mall was nice. It wasn't too loud and I enjoyed being able to see the grounds. The tree leaves were turning color and the ground people did a great job mowing, trimming and keeping the place looking nice. I look forward to our next stay and highly recommend this location. We met some long term stay guest who were also quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming.
