Really the only nice thing I have to say is that most of the staff were amazing - they made the…read moredifference between one and two stars... but unfortunately the facilities consistently fell short. My room was clearly in need of renovation. Old/faded/dated/chipped everything. Awkward space (the bathroom door is hard to navigate around as its arc consumes most of the tiny bathroom). It did smell clean/seem mostly clean (although I didn't white glove test anything) but my shower curtain was clearly soiled with squirts of what I hope was body wash or conditioner from the last guest. The hot/cold water in the bath/shower was backwards (had to push it to cold to get warm water) and leaked out of the handle while it was on. The heater made a loud rattling noise when it was on - but it was too cold to sleep with if off. This coupled with a loud gurgling noise consistently coming from the refrigerator (which is located right next to the head of the bed - really??) - it was very difficult to sleep which definitely impacted my performance at my meetings the next day. The fitness area/gym was terrible with broken equipment and a moldy smell. I also struggled to find something healthy to eat for breakfast. Fortunately the server in the restaurant recognized my struggle and asked the chef to prepare an egg white omelette for me as part of the breakfast buffet. It wasn't the best, but another case of the awesome staff saving what would have otherwise been a bad experience. I do understand that the hotel is undergoing renovations- and I did get a tip (too late for this visit) to ask for a renovated room next time. So I wouldn't write this off as a viable option in the future, but based on this visit (11/2024), there is a lot to be desired.

During the week there was a spider and fire ants that were on my bed. I was able to switch rooms immediately. My shade was also broken leaving it down and dark. The sheets and pillows were paper-like and not comfortable like other Marriott owned hotels are. Very out of date. Rust and stains in the bathroom. The hotel restaurant wasn't the best I've been to either. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

As part of our ticket purchase, we received a delicious table shared appetizer - an amazing dip with warm pita chips! We will be back to have dinner there sometime, just based on how delicious this dip was! Kudos to the chef. We also had a great server named Jackie, who was attentive, energetic and amazing. I really felt like I got to know some of the people also enjoying the show - such camaraderie at this fun and unexpected venue for live music and fun, with fabulous drinks and food.

The Bad: - Room smelled funny. - My AC wouldn't turn off (the wall unit wasn't working and neither did the buttons on the AC itself). It blew cold air at full strength for my entire stay. - Front desk staff is stingy about extra waters...2 isn't enough for an extended stay, period. They don't care about your Hilton Honors status. They will make you pay for extras. First Hilton I've stayed at where that's the case. - No refrigerator in the room. Hope you don't have any leftovers! - Gym is tiny and falling apart. Weights are missing and random parts from the ceiling and other areas of the hotel seem to be thrown in the corner. This hotel has lots of potential, but in the future, I'll be looking elsewhere for my stay.

We booked a small 15 person wedding luncheon last weekend and received horrible service from the function manager as well as management. Do not book a function there. My meal was rancid but I didn't want to embarrass anyone by saying that at the table. When I called to tell them the manager said I was lying because that's her favorite meal. The stuffing smelled and tasted like it was from last thanksgiving. I noticed many people just pushing their food around on the main entree. She said they would have only refunded the money if I spoke up at the time in front of everyone. But that's the kind of class these people have. Also, very high room rental rate which they lie about on the phone and tell you it is just a deposit to hold the room and will be refunded later on your bill so long as you show up for the event. Then after they get the payment they send an email with a link that says it will not be refunded whether you show up or not. That it's not actually a deposit to hold the room. That it's a room rental fee. Non refundable. Then they insinuate that you should tip on the meal AND the room rental fee that they lie to people about. A shame because they've tarnished a long held good reputation of a charming historic location by employing highly unethical people who lie.

The guest key is linked to the elevator providing security. You must swipe your key card and select your floor for access. We had a wonderful stay. The facility and grounds were well taken care of. Beth and Joey at the front desk were very helpful. We had a ceiling light and stove light out and the maintenance and engineering tech was very fast, pleasant, and easy to work with (sorry I didn't catch his name) and got it fixed right off. The kitchen worked out well. We cooked a few things and was glad to have a full fridge and freezer. Everything worked well and was stocked nicely. The temperature controls and unit worked well. They have a nice gym, walking path, doggies station, breakfast area, common seating areas and outdoor space. The only thing that was a bit disheartening were a few of the guests didn't always pick up after their pooches. Thankfully there were plenty of waste baggies so I did my fair share of clean up. I am really thankful to have pet friendly places to stay and wish other people did their part. We did have a run in with a guest who couldn't manage their two dogs so word of caution to be alert around other pups. The breakfast was decent with a variety of options such as oat milk, vegan foods, hot oatmeal, bagels, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and vegan sausage. Lots of condiments like PB, cranberry, nuts, seeds, juices and more. The staff did a great job cleaning up and keeping the food and coffee stations filled. One family with their young tots made a full blown disaster and I thanked the ladies who came up after to pick up and scrub it down. We had a king size bed with 4 pillows and extra bedding in the drawers. It was very comfortable as I've always slept well on Marriott mattresses. The room had plenty of storage to unpack, an ironing board, and updated outlets for charging. The rooms were cleaned every other day but I did ask them to come more often to vacuum up after the pup. I appreciated them very much. The view to the outside over route 9 towards the Natick mall was nice. It wasn't too loud and I enjoyed being able to see the grounds. The tree leaves were turning color and the ground people did a great job mowing, trimming and keeping the place looking nice. I look forward to our next stay and highly recommend this location. We met some long term stay guest who were also quite nice. Thank you to all the staff for being so friendly and welcoming.
