I recently purchased a new to me Porsche 718 Cayman. I needed an oil change and I didn't want to do the long drive from Tracy to the Porsche Dealer or to pay their prices if I could find a local shop that I could have confidence in. I found Sprint Motorsports online and gave them a call. I spoke with James and found him to be very knowledgeable and helpful. We scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Friday. I had purchased the Porsche on Tuesday and was in need of a Smog certificate. Unbeknownst to me, to pass a California smog inspection the inspector needs to look at the top of the engine to inspect for modifications. Problem is, both of the smog shops I went to refused to remove the interior pieces covering the engine due to "liability issues". This was really hanging me out to dry as DMV only allowed me a 1 day registration to drive the car to get it smogged. Since I had spoken with James the day before to schedule my oil change I thought I'd reach out to him and see if he could help me get the car "opened up" for the smog check within my 1 day timeline that was quickly coming to an end. I got James on the phone and he said "bring it over". When I arrived he dropped what he was doing and pulled the interior apart and removed the engine cover. He really got me out of a jam and didn't ask for anything in return. I then got the car smogged went and got my registration handled and I was good to go! All thanks to James! This is the kind of service that is rare to find these days. My appointment on Friday went as smooth as can be and I will make Sprint Motorsports my shop from now on. Got an alignment for my Integra Type S from here. Called the shop about two days in advance to set up an appointment ( recommended that way dedicated time for your vehicle). James provided a work order estimate for the alignment. Then on the day of met James ( cool guy) and then his technician (also cool )pulled the car around around the rear got straight to the work. Initially I had total trust bringing my Porsche Macan to this shop. James is very helpful and appeared to be honest, oil change was quick and easy to book, they also provide complementary shuttle to your home and back. Our first service maintenance with them was smooth, James was very thorough in explaining everything that was done and prices were great. The second time around we had scheduled a major intermediate service along with oil change costing us about $1100. During that service James stated that we needed to replace our camshaft due to oil leaking into the sparks plug and stated that it would be a major service costing $2700. They also said that I needed to replace my tires and brakes but then told me that they didn't mean to upsell us and that all we needed to worry about was my camshaft. Mind you I did not have a check engine light. I didn't feel right after that and did research and took my car to three different shops which all dealers stated that work would only cost $1500. I eventually repaired the concern with JH Motorsports for that price and they were very upfront and honest with parts cost, hourly rate, and explained that they felt Sprint motors just made an honest mistake with the type of repair my car needed. Well it turns out that my last oil change with Sprint motors they had over filled my oil above the maximum requirement which doing so would cause a leak into my sparks plugs! I also went to American Tires to see if I needed to buy new tires and they told me that I still had 10k miles left and didn't need it yet. I cannot recommend Sprint Motors anymore as they are not honest and actually created a problem by overfilling my oil and convincing me that I needed to repair something that was not even an issue to begin with. If you're looking for a shop I would recommend JH Motorsports in Lathrop Ca. It's unfortunate that this shop tried to take advantage of me, I was hoping I wouldn't have to change shops as I really did appreciate James and his excellent customer service but when profits are more important than keeping customers it eventually backfires because reviews like this actually makes new customers think twice! read more

I went to the previous location (Sprint Auto Works) which was in the next plaza over. This was back in 2015. I believe it is under the same ownership still, but please correct me if I'm wrong. I could've sworn I left a review years ago, but I guess I didn't. I had an issue where my clutch was not disengaging in my mk6 GTI. VW dealership was refusing to cover under warranty, even though there was a known issue with pressure plate failures. I probably could've fought harder and gotten it done. But I was already considering getting an aftermarket clutch that could hold a stage 1 tune anyway. Sprint was able to quickly source a clutch (which other shops were struggling to do) and do the install. I had my car towed there on a Wednesday, and it was ready to go the next Wednesday. And most of that time was them waiting for the parts to arrive. This all happened while they were in the middle of a move from their Campbell location. They were able to squeeze me in and get the work done. Other shops were estimating 2-4 weeks turnaround, so Sprint also saved me some money since I had to rent a car to get to work. I went and got an APR stage 1 tune from this shop as well shortly after the new clutch install. I still daily the same car, and have had no issues with the clutch since. read more

First of all I would like to express my gratitude of the customer support services in front desk, James and hope I am not misspelling the name Mike, they are awesome people with the great knowledge and awesome personalities. I had my wife tesla right side tires and trims bumped to the curb so bad that had missed up the whole safety and break systems, I called these folks and they scheduled me for the same day. After watching videos, scouring owners' forums, and sourcing PDFs of the factory service manual, I took the plunge and decided to attempt the inordinately complicated timing belt service on my Alfa 4C. How hard it could be? Answer: THAT HARD. Gotta love the Italians. When I finally accepted defeat and asked the Sprint team for a full takeover to complete the work, my stress level went way down and the work was finished perfectly. (Skip to last paragraph for summary if you are not interested in the details.) I have a 2016 VW Golf TSI with an APR Stage 1 tune. APR tune was done when the car had 600 miles on it. After 138k miles I got an "EPC" light on my dash which stands for Electronic Power Control. When I took it to my normal mechanic, he told me his computer was showing no engine codes and I should take it to VW. I took the car to VW and they told me they saw a "Turbo actuator position sensor range error", but since the car was tuned, I should remove the tune back to stock and see if the light comes back. I took the car to Sprint Motorsports to get the tune removed, because that's where I got it installed. When I told them what was going on they suggested I let them troubleshoot without removing the tune and maybe save some time and money. I agreed. Enter James. After spending an hour and a half with my car, James explained what was going on with my turbo clearly so I knew exactly what was going on. In short, my turbo actuator was sending garbled info to the ECU and needed replacement. He also pointed out that my water pump had a small leak. I knew I had a small coolant leak somewhere... He told me he could replace the the turbo actuator without replacing the entire turbo. He then told me I should get a new water pump as well. When I saw the quote for a new turbo actuator and water pump, I will admit, I got a little sticker shock, but after thinking about it, I would surely pay more at VW and most other mechanics would likely not want to mess with a VW turbo. I let them order parts and do the repair. I left my car with them overnight and it was finished the next day. When I went to pick up the car, James took me back and showed me the faulty actuator and leaky water pump. He explained again what he did and told me he checked out the turbo which looked and felt good. He even detailed my engine compartment! I have never had a mechanic do that for me before. To summarize; James is a top notch mechanic. He explained what was going on with my engine with precision clarity so that I had no doubt that he nailed down the problem. I felt very comfortable that he knew what he was doing and would perform the repairs competently and thoroughly. After repairs were done, he took the time to show me the parts that were replaced and what was wrong with them. He even detailed my engine compartment, (who does that?) I am 100% satisfied with his work and I am happy I brought my car to Sprint Motorsports. read more

I had my Eclipse GSX in there and had a great experience with them. I needed help finishing my car to stock-ish state. Long story short the car had been assembled before them, but that was really it. It "drove" to the shop and they assessed the issues and gave me the diagnostics. I said fix it and they really fixed it up. Now I get to say the car drives with out fuel cutting, shaking, and overheating when I decide I need to turn off my interior fan. If you need to get over your car PTSD then you wanna go here.
