Stay away from this company specially from Jonathan eme the sales manager. He is rude and not helpful at all with customers. They claim to ship out orders next day but they dont tell you that half of what they sell its not in stock and only after you pay they tell you they dont got certain stuff and will take weeks or months to ship out. The manager gets butthurt when he gets called out and cancels orders that at no point did I tell him to cancel my order. Stay away from this garbage company. read more

2016 Audi A4 with IE STAGE I tune. Previous Audi 2003 A4 1.8T B5.5, Stage I unitronic ate the clutch so I installed a single mass and LOVED IT. Drove it for another 80,000 miles (190,000 total) and sold it. Picked up the 2016 2.0T B8.5 6sp and figured I'd do the same thing. Stage I tune ate the clutch so wanted a single mass like before. This clutch/flywheel is a Radically different design but this ones far easier to install. Getting the splines to line up installing the clutch like a torque converter is a breeze compared to the traditional clutch setups. JHMs piece is super nice. Per the recommendation to change the clutch line to a one piece stainless usp piece, I did (THAT JOB WAS A PITA). Cleaned face of flywheel and pressure plate, torqued pressure plate per their instructions that are here. Installed and off I went enjoying the positive engagement, ease of shifting and seriously easy pedal. Kinda felt too easy to push. I go about the break in process, happy with how its feeling, staying in touch via email as to how they recommend to bed it in. 500 miles comes along I get the okay to give it some beans. It skips at anything past half throttle. Go back to driving Ms Daisy and IMMEDIATELY EMAIL and express my worry. Emails going back and forth trying to figure out whats going on. Meanwhile still driving back and forth to work like I have Ms Daisy in the back seat. Every once in a while I give it a shot and Nope, skips everytime. Then the Emails get ugly, "Installed" "Installed" wrong. I find I'm having to now defend MY competency in installing a clutch. 57yrs old been wrenching since I was 16, have a 70 Nova with a 498 I BUILT and ported the heads (and tested with my flow bench) I BUILT the TH 400 trans, mini tubbed it assembled the narrowed 9" and I'm a Auto Tech for a living. ect ect ECT. However now I'm getting stressed out thinking I got had by JHM But back to,, umm, "I" KNOW how to swap out a clutch for mucks sake. And now I'm just wanting my car back to stock, Im done trying to soop up my daily, and then the emails turn to "store credit" instead of a refund!! Unless I send it back ASAP. The clutch was out THAT night and spent $180 to get it sent back the following day. ASAP?? DONE!! I get a few emails saying my return has been accepted and my "Refund" will be processed in the order it was received. 2 weeks go by and nothing. Send off Email and get a reply back indicating that NOW the owner wants to renig on my refund because it was installed???!!! oh yeah almost forgot. When I pulled it out the weak pedal (the B 5.5s pedal was nice and stiff) got me really curious. So I set up a jig in my press and measured the old factory Luk SAC pressure plate fingers and it was at 640/650 PSI And JHMs pressure plates fingers were also at 640/650 PSI. So someone explain to me EXACTLY how JHMs pressure plate is going to have anymore clamping force than a factory SACs with the Exact same pressure .. Oh jeeze I almost forgot this too. The morning of the night I pulled the clutch. I pulled the IE Stage I tune back out of the car thinking I'd keep trying to bed the clutch in without worrying about it skipping. I had round about 600 miles on it by this point so I figured I'd at least be able to drive it like normal on the factory tune, RIGHT?? I WAS WRONG!! Let me back up a little. After I pulled the tune out and discovered it wouldn't hold THAT is when I Emailed that little tid bit and that's when the "store credit" vs "refund" per fine print was brought up. Unless I pulled it and sent it back NOW. NOW IM STRESSED AS ALL GET OUT THINKING I JUST GOT HAD FOR $2700 UNLESS I BUST MY ARSE AND GET THE CLUTCH OUT AND SENT!!!!!! To which As I said I did get it out and sent, within 16 hours. To Recap; JHMs single mass organic fiber good for 400ftlbs and 90% of any performance mods including a KO4 turbo. Didn't EVEN HOLD THE FACTORY TUNE IN MY 2016 Audi A4 2.0T 6 speed Quattro. And now, I'm being denied (by the owner) the $2700 refund let alone the $180 shipping. I had the clutch in the car 3 days short of a month. It takes a easy week to ship from cali to mi and vise versa. And now I'm having to BEG to 'somehow' recoup MY $2700.00 I spent on a clutch that didn't work as described, for me Like "I'm" the guilty party. Of WHAT?? Trusting JHMs claim that this clutch will do what it DIDN'T??? I just want my car back after being down for going on a month now but the "owners" now on Vacation. Must be nice,. hope my $2700.00 has enabled You to really enjoy life. While Im stuck having to spend $100 a week on fuel in a truck vs the 60 every two weeks the Audi got because I'm being strung along on a refund. I cant get something else to put in the car to get it back on the road because this guy decided to change his mind about giving me my money back after I busted my arse to pull,.send it, and got Emails saying the return is accepted and the refund is in process. Having spent $15k with Jh Motorsports I believe I'm qualified to make this review. The products they make are innovative and durable. They seem to be great at overcoming engineering problems on German cars. However if theres one thing I'm far from impressed with its their lack of care or responsiveness for any customers let alone customers that spend $15k with them. June 2022 I purchased a short shifter from them, "global shortages due to the pandemic" delayed the shipment and I didn't receive the short shifter until November 2022 at which point I'd already bought a new car. Supply chain issues are understandable but what bothered me most is that apparently the global pandemic effected their ability to communicate with customers because they never bothered to say anything about it until a few months in when I started calling and asking questions.. And trust me, I mean nothing.. no email updates, apologies for the delay, phone calls, voicemails, NOTHING!! i was totally in the dark and began to wonder would they have even said anything had I never reached out? October 2022 I purchased a stage 3 turbo kit for my new car. They sent everything 2 months later except for the high pressure fuel pump which I'm still waiting for (it's now June 2022). Again they failed to communicate anything and left it up to me to reach out to ask for an update. 5/18/2023 I purchased a short shifter for my new car after speaking to them on the phone. I was instructed to write "ship the available parts immediately" to ensure I wasn't back in the waiting queue.. 6/1/2023 I purchased an exhaust with a 14 week lead time (which at least was advertised upfront) and now I can't reach them by phone again. So while I can say they make great products, the rollercoaster ride they've inconsiderately put me on has left quite a bad taste in my mouth. Seems as though they don't treat customers with even an ounce of care or consideration once they have your money and while I would love to be wrong they've yet to make any effort to contact me or follow up on anything since my first of nine purchases with them read more

Jonathon was very educational concerning explaining the work that I needed done on my Porsche Macan another shop had quoted me and was very professional about it. They were able to point out that the other shop was overcharging perhaps due to an honest mistake of not knowing about the services that I needed which was replacing and resealing my camshaft and valves to address oil leaks seeping into my sparks plugs. He was honest in the breakdown of the labor cost as well as parts. During the service he went ahead and ordered and replaced my coolant hose charging only for the parts. That shows me the integrity of this shop. I dislike having to go from one shop to another I use to take my car to Porsche Livermore however time it took to complete service were days out and costs were exponentially high. The kit was delivered missing the spring retainer, contacted customer support and was told to use my old stock 1 !!! I even offered to pay again for the part. After purchasing a vehicle out of state I began hear a strange whining noise coming from the rear seat under acceleration. I took it to my local indy mechanic and they could not track it down. I then took it to audi who also could not correctly diagnose the problem. I then took it to a well known audi tuner in the bay area and they misdiagnosed my car and after 2 weeks and thousands replacing parts the noise was still there. I finally came to my senses and brought the car to JHM and I am so happy I did! They found the issue and worked with my aftermarket warranty to cover a whole new driveshaft is a part prone to failure on this model of S6. I also had them replace the front leaking airstruts that all 3 mechanics before them missed entirely.I have had nothing but great experiences with my other audis at JHM but this really shows that they are an authority in their field and true experts. I will be back as soon as possible for some tuning and brakes from their in-house shop. Ordered a pair of turbos. The lead time was 2-4 weeks. After waiting for 2 months without receiving any update, I sent them an email asking about the status. No answer, of course.After waiting for one more week, I followed up again.Jonathan, the sales person, was stalling and said 1-2 weeks. After a week, I followed up again (since he said 1 or 2 weeks) but I was told I should be more patient."I highlighted that it may be up to two weeks." After wasting another week waiting, I followed up again. Cornered this liar, and basically admitted he has no clue when it will be delivered. He refunded my money without asking me. He is acting like he is doing a favor for me. I paid $1300 for something, waited 3 months patiently and if i dont reach out to them, they wouldn't say a word when it will be shipped. Total sleazeball company, if the owner allows this type of customer service, shame on him. I'll do everything to warn people not to do business with this time waster company. read more

This review is long overdue. I purchase my first Audi 10 months ago and was lucky enough to find out JHM was only 25min from my house. From day one, JHM is the only place she's been serviced at. From the performance upgrades to the basic oil services, JHM has had a hand in it. Ricardo, Dru and the team at JHM have been great to work with. My last visit was a big one, they needed to keep my car for a few days but it was all worth it. Ricardo kept me well informed as the work was getting done. Googling reviews on B8 clutch's didn't do anything for my confidence, so when it was my turn to change out my clutch/flywheel setup I was pessimistic about the outcome. I towed it out of there and towed it to JH Motorsports. After a few days, they fixed my car and it was $3,200. They saved us Big Time by not having us replace things we do not need. Being a long time and avid Audi/VW owner, it's inevitable that one would want to maximize the potential of one's car while maintaining a level of civility for daily driving. I had immersed myself in various online Audi forums & came across a thread dedicated to upgrading one's turbo. It was at that time that JHM had just announced their K04-R turbo for my A4. They have previously performed a timing service, and a few years later, when the engine was not running correctly, they took the time to properly diagnose the problem, repair it, and drive the car sufficiently to ensure that the issue was resolved. Had a huge job to do on my 2005 Audi S4 (B6): the dreaded timing chain repair that all of these cars eventually need. My mechanics in LA had quoted me a price, but I wasn't sure they could handle the job. I called JH Motorsports to recommend a local shop in LA that they thought was really good, ended up talking to Dru about what the job would entail, and was convinced these were the guys who had the experience and know-how to do this complicated job. It was even worth the added expense to transport the car (Art at 007 AutoTransport). From beginning to end, this was absolutely the easiest, smoothest transaction I have ever had at an auto shop. The people at JH Motorsports are awesome! I completely rebuilt my motor and it ran fine at first. Few hundred miles later, car stops boosting and making any power at all. After spending a month or two trying to troubleshoot it, I hit them up, scheduled an appointment, dropped off the car, and was messaged shortly after they found and fixed the problem (backed out wastegate adjustment). Not only did they do a great job finding, fixing and let me know what the problem was, they helped me attempt to find the problem while I was persistent in doing it myself in the beginning. Their estimates are always fair, usually lower than any other (quality) independent shop since they have so much experience with Audi(/Volkswagen Audi Group brand vehicles), so naturally they know what they're doing. Let me start by saying I have had nothing but terrible experiences with shops my whole life before JH Motorsports. Lucky for me I moved close to the shop and drove by it all the time. I actually started going there before I owned an Audi just to talk and they were super nice and informative even though I wasen't spending money. Eventually they let me know when the car of my dreams came along and I bought it. Since then they have been more then a shop, they have been fun and welcoming with BBQ's and race nights to show appreciation. They have been fair with pricing and I never felt taken advantage of. Unbelievable customer service! I bought a stage 3 clutch, flywheel and catted xpipe. On mistake of my own, i ordered the xpipe with a wrong connector to the aftermarket exhaust. My shop had already been working on my car for 2 weeks and this was the last step. I sent an urgent email to JHM and received a lightning response with solution. They were able to overnight the catted xpipe even though it said on the website that there is a 1 business day processing. The Xpipe came early morning to the shop and I was able to finish the project on time. Brandyn, was whom i talked to the entire process. For being the most expensive RS6 hybrid turbos on the market, it is EXTREMELY disappointing to have to clock BOTH turbos AND set proper wastegate cracking pressure (both were different pressures to begin with). Even after clocking, cutting, and adjustments, the driver's side turbo where it hooks up to the charge pipe does not line up so that the hose can connect to the turbo. I now have to find some sort of hose to fit there because the turbo is so clocked, it's now touching the manifold. I should have gone with SEP because my friend bought turbos from them and everything lines up as it should. It's not a perfect fit, but holy s***, it's a THOUSAND times better than this. I've wanted these turbos for over 10 years now that I have the ability to do this and pay the extra money for something that I thought was valuable.. turned out not to be the case. Conclusion: You have to be stupid to buy the most expensive RS6 hybrid turbos (JHM) to end up doing the most work to install them. Seriously. Order from SEP. read more

No idea where my old review went. Probably an old account? No matter. New review! JHMotorsports is a...how would I call them? Let's tell a story then. Years ago when I bought my first Audi, it was a 2003 A4 in manual with front wheel drive. Oops, but hey, limited knowledge and budget. I was completely new to the car scene, knew nothing apart from basic car maintenance and I had just the kindling of a burning passion for learning about my own car, driving, and all the lessons I would learn over time. Where does JHM fit into this? Well, when I had the A4, JHM was a completely new to me discovery from many online forums about what they did, the fact that they made their own parts, and hell they even made their own supercharger. I can't tell you how often I browsed their site looking at parts for my FWD A4, wishing I had known to buy a car with a better drivetrain. But hey, learning curve. Just some weeks shy of a year's worth of ownership of my A4, it was rear ended and my journey with that beloved first Audi came to an end. Insurance paid out for the car, did some internet searching, and a month and a half later I returned home with a 2004 S4, also in manual. This begins my real involvement with JHMotorsports as suddenly my car was very relevant to what they specifically focused in: V8 engined Audis. I visited their location one day out of the blue just to finally see this legendary place I constantly read about, watched the occasional YouTube video, and too often visited the online store of. It wasn't quite like stumbling across the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but close. The first person I met there was a person that is unfortunately no longer with the company today, but he was the first person that I met and thus he was, as far as I was concerned, the face of JHMotorsports. We talked for some two hours, or maybe even longer. He introduced me to one of their very friendly staff members named Jake, awesome dude, ...and to my utter surprise the owner and founder, the JH of JHMotorsports himself. I think that was the day my loyalty cemented. I'm not a high roller customer. Everything I've done with JHM, every part order, service, all took planning and time to get and install. And every time a goal was reached, it was sort of like a milestone. I did try to install their short shifter on my own and it was quite amazing, but unfortunately it was just slightly off and I ultimately needed their help :). The one time I made it to their weekend drag race event at the Sacramento Raceway was also the day I finally got myself the famous JHM tune for my car. The man who did it was Jason Harbinson himself. He's super friendly, doesn't bite, and has awesome customer service. Thanks man. It took me about a year to plan and save for the famous timing service my generation of S4 is known for, and I had that done at JHM, nowhere else. Oh, and I also had them throw in some mounts and their incredible propriety lightweight flywheel/clutch combo. The car was like brand new afterwards. Only thing left was their supercharger. I did make it. On my 28th birthday in 2018, in the second year of my ownership of my S4, I put in the order for the supercharger. Unfortunately, tragedy fell. Three days later after I had put in my order for the supercharger, my car was totaled. I called JHM from my wrecked car to cancel the supercharger order. But the story continues on. Even though so much was invested in my S4, I immediately set on finding a new Audi. My criteria was similar to my S4. I wanted a V8 in manual, but I wanted to work with a newer platform. And I found one, 2,500 miles away in Orlando, Florida. Oh I live in California, just one hour from JHM. I flew to Florida, saw the car, loved it, bought it, and then arranged for it to be shipped back to California. One week later, my 2011 S5 V8 in manual arrived. On the second day of its arrival, I brought the car straight to JHM for their short shifter install and their wonderful tune. Following that, a carbon cleaning and new fuel injectors. A few months later, a new JHM lightweight flywheel/clutch was installed. That's where the story leaves off for now. Maybe I'll get around to the supercharger again. We'll see :). Oh the actual review. JHMotorsports is a great place to take your car to for excellent service. Their labor rate is very competitive and their technicians are expert at what they do. During the carbon cleaning process, it was discovered that the rebuilt fuel injectors from one of their suppliers was defective. They took care of that very promptly. My experience is based on actual service and maintenance performed in house by JH Motorsports, I have never used the retail site to personally buy anything. ***Why I chose JH Motorsports:*** I have a B6 S4 Avant. Anyone who knows about these cars will be familiar with Audi's infinite wisdom of deciding to put timing chains in the car (which are supposed to last the life of the vehicle), place them on the back of the engine and use plastic guides to keep them in place. Over time these guides wear out and if that happens while you're driving then you're pretty much SOL. JH Motorsport has deigned a kit for this and has done the job many times so I decided to go with them. ***Initial experience with service*** I had my car transported to them in September 2016. After a full diagnostic they reached out to me with an estimate which included the timing chains, coil packs, engine mounts, valve covers gaskets, intake spacers, snub mount, coil-overs (the back shocks were leaking) and a plethora of other things you would do while the engine is out. I bit the bullet and told them to go for it. About 1.5 months later I got word that the car was done but when they drove it a mile it just stopped moving, they thought the transmission was bad. How did you not discover this during the initial diagnostic??? I was told they didn't drive the car so they had no idea of knowing whether the transmission was already bad or not but it wasn't their fault. Not having a ton of prior history of the car and understanding that they took the engine out which could cause things to fall apart that were barely held together in the first place, I let them rebuild it. I was pretty upset that they didn't see this in the first place though because I would have just sold or parted the car out had I known but I was already over 10 grand in so I let them send the transmission out to get rebuilt. Another month went by and the car was finally ready. I traveled to them and when I got there I was concerned when I found that the car was totally slammed. I had told them that I drive in the snow and gravel sometimes for outdoor activities. I had never had a car this low, I'll admit it looked cool so I just paid the guys and drove home. ***Experience after getting the car back:*** I had to send the car back a few times for different things and always at my own expense, even if it was an error on JHM's side. Below is a list of things that occurred within 6 months of having the above work done that cost me another couple grand. - After receiving the car and driving home, the next day I came out to find the car even lower as the springs had settled more. The car was not drivable in this state so I had to tow it back to them and have the coils adjusted. - After the getting the car back for the above service a day or two later one of the 034 control arms broke while driving on the freeway. - The serpentine belt broke after a few weeks. This to me was a total ROOKIE MISTAKE. They had the engine out of the car, oil had been leaking on the belt and I'm pretty sure it was frayed based on my own inspection of the engine why was this not replaced? Had to bring this to a local mechanic to get it done. - First drive up to the snow my entire front bumper got ripped off due to the height of the car being so low. Had to have this replaced at a local body shop. - At the first oil change the transmission was found to be leaking fluid where it's married to the engine. - Had to have the oil pan resealed. - 034 control arms were put on this car front and back. My experience with these was horrible as they cracked, clanked and made all sorts of noise even on smooth streets. When they were taken off after 6 months it looked like they had been on there for years as all the rubber boots were torn and the bolts rusted. One of the upper strut mounts was broken and there was a ton of play in another. I had all of these changed out for SPC adjustable units by another shop. ***Experience with car over the last two years since initial service:*** I had to change the valve cover gaskets recently, JHM told me that these need to be changed often on this car although this seems way too soon considering JHM changed them 18K miles ago. I also had to remove the intake spacers that were put in by JHM because they were causing a significant amount of raw fuel pooling in the area of the spacer which was unsafe. The car appears to be running fine at the moment but I really don't trust the work that was done with all the issues I've had. In person I always had a good experience talking with them. Execution is another thing though and I don't feel that I got the same attention that everyone else seems to talk about. I spent almost $20K in 6 months so I feel like a good customer. I think their strength is with cars for the track or show and not practicality which is what I needed. I'm now piecing this car back together so it can be driven comfortably on the street. read more
