I love Sprouts. Today I came to do a meet and greet with Paul Saladino. He is promoting his line of supplements Heart & Soil. I follow Paul on Instagram, he's the carnivore diet MD. Sprouts now carried his product, but he also has an online store as well. Although I didn't go in the store. Sprouts is and has been my go to store for produce. I think their produce is top notch, they have a large selection of organic. I can always find what I need. They have a great app to help save money. And I love that too. read more

My husband and I were in this part of town and decided to stop by Sprouts to see if they had any pumpkins. It is a big grocery store with lots of different items to purchase. We didn't know where to look and a friendly employee asked us if we needed help. We asked if they had pumpkins and he told us that he would show us. He then led us to the pumpkins. We thanked him and then he walked away. We got a cart and loaded up our pumpkins. We then walked around just browsing. We headed to the checkout where another friendly employee rang up our items, we paid and we're off. I want to love this store but I just can't. I have gotten so much old food here. I am sick of having to drive back for a gift card - even though your prepared meal has their store stamp on it and it is not yet expired, no refund without receipt. I love this Sprouts because they always have what I need. It's an older store but a bigger location and carries some items that the newer smaller locations don't. What I love is they have grab-n-go sushi and a very knowledgeable staff in the Wellness Department. Johnny takes pride in his department and Alma knows her stuff and always helps me find what I need for what ails me. read more

Some aspects of this store I truly appreciate like the deals on meat and fish and some I truly find unpleasant. The checkout process often is a hassle with checkers just refusing to check out customers. This causes customers to have no choice but to self checkout which is often difficult for some older people. read more

I walked into Sprouts Farmers Market unsurprised about an advertisement easily displayed to capture your eyes. The sign is taped and placed right near the front door for customers to see. The sign is advertising BoGo Buy one, Get one Free. Then, right below on the same page it says, BoGo Buy one, Get one 1/2 off. I seized the opportunity to take advantage of a sale not realizing, up until now, the reason for offering a great discount is likely a result of purchasing, in all likelihood, stale cookies which were suspectedly within reach of expiration date. Their actions are egregious and cruel, not just for your everyday consumer, but rather, in respect for ongoing care of Seniors and the Elderly including significantly other people with disabilities. I was just in the sprouts on Menchaca Rd, and the store has changed! It's so much better, the people were all so friendly and helpful. I just needed a few things for dinner, and I wasn't sure where the cheese was located. I was asked if I need any help, and I did! I was walked over to the Deli and there was where they kept the cheese. I was probably asked 4 times if I was finding everything I needed. The last time I was in this store 3 or 4 months ago, not one person even spoke to me. I would really recommend this store to everyone, the food is wonderful, and now the employees are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Why haven't I been here lately?! I have forgotten how much I love sprouts! While I probably can't get everything I need or want here, I know I will be back. They have a great selection in the refrigerated bakery. I also found a great deal on the olipop probiotic drinks. They were 2/$4! I got from free collagen samples from a nice lady and some "shilajit" samples. The lady had taken one that morning and said she felt a nice little boost of energy. The people at Sprouts are always friendly -- seriously, they're great. That part alone deserves five stars. But the overall experience gets knocked down because of one thing that really ruins the convenience: the bag policy. They make you bring your own bags or charge you $0.10 per bag, which feels like a deceptive way of nickel-and-diming customers. I get the environmental angle, but it comes across as more of an inconvenience than a value. I actually shop here mainly because it's closer than Whole Foods, but more often than not, I end up driving farther to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's just to avoid the hassle. It's frustrating to walk out with groceries rolling around in my trunk because I didn't bring bags and didn't feel like paying extra for them. This place could be great -- the staff and produce are solid -- but that small policy makes the overall experience fall short. read more

The whole purpose of this visit was to look for a certain ice cream flavor. We were unable to find it, so I got a different one. It seemed like sample Saturdays, we tried Frankie's Organic Puff and ended up getting a coupon and buying 2 flavors. My daughter who is on summer vacation already ate her bag while I am still savoring mine. I also found the sandwich bar which I will be honest I had no idea about until seeing a video recently. It was a Build Your Own Sandwich and I am not going to lie, for $4.99 and I was IMPRESSED. You fill out the slip of paper and give them 5/10 minutes and your sub is ready. It was a big sub and it filled me up, I ate half at lunch and the other half at dinner. My daughter who is picky about everything loved it also. I come to this sprouts pretty often, and I will say, it is a great atmosphere! Lots of friendly employees and lots of helpful ones as well! No matter if i'm going to the meat counter the deli counter, or if I just have a general question about products and where they're at, I always get an answer. I like the product quantity and quality as well as it outperforms some of the other sprouts in the area. I think the only complaint I have.It's that at times there are not enough cashiers in the front. In summary, I would definitely recommend coming to this location for good quality prices, atmosphere and product selection. read more

Today's visit was very quick and easy. There are a lot of good deals happening, I purchased the components for spaghetti and was happy to see both the sauce and spaghetti noodles are on sale! The cashier, Rolando, provided excellent customer service and had me out in a timely manner. Really nice having a grocery store with all of the goodies in south austin. The staff is always friendly and now that they have a pile of automatic self serve checkout stations it makes things so much faster. They have a large section of organic fruits and veggies as well as a ton of healthier options as well. There deli and sushi area has alot of nice pre made in house togo meals that are always yummy. I love Sprouts, in general, but I had the best experience yesterday, because of Devon at the Menchaca location in South Austin. I was using the self-checkout, and I was stressed and embarrassed that my total was a little over my limit. I was actually feeling so sorry that I was going to need to bother the employee to have her come take off the item that was of least priority (but that I wanted the most!) I was so taken aback that she came over and before taking taking the item off, she asked me how much it was and why I wanted to take it back (not an accusatory inquiry, but a genuinely concerned and helpful one) and she gave it to me for half price, fixed it for me in the computer, and made me feel like she was sincerely happy to help me! Her name is Devon, and I hope you smile at her daily, and let her know how special she is. IT's a gift to have someone make shopping not a lonely chore, haha. read more

I waited too long to get green cabbage Saturday for my large family to make corned beef and cabbage so I went to Heb and Randall's and they were both out of all green cabbage. In desperation I called Sprouts at William Cannon and Manchaca and talked to Steve to see if they had green cabbage? Yes they did I arrive and they had several cases of green cabbage , day was saved. The lines were long but moved pretty quickly prices were great and I bought great produce. The lines were probably unusual for Friday evening but with all the craziness not unexpected.. I'm not sure what it is about Sprouts. They're just lackluster when it comes to the grocery business. I don't find the staff particularly helpful, although they are pleasant. I don't find the prices to be particularly great, although they're not outrageous, either. The store is clean and the aisles are wide, but the organization of it is a bit haphazard. For the size of the store they have (a one-time Safeway), they could be so much more. I come here for one supplement that Whole Foods Market discontinued years ago. Sometimes I look at the cheeses if they're on sale. But I've even stopped doing that because their cheeses mold faster than any I've bought elsewhere. Sprouts is a tactical stop for me rather than a destination. I'd much rather shop at Wheatsville, Whole Foods, or even Central Market. Sorry, but fourth place is not where you want to be in the organic grocery biz. read more

I used Instacart to deliver an order from Sprouts Farmers Market, which I normally like. The experience was horrible! I am unsatisfied with the credit that doesn't go back to my paypal account, but has to be credited to instacart account? Every other delivery organization offers both, and leaves the decision up to the consumer, seems like a predatory practice to force clients to return even when they don't want to. Second, there was no response to my comments about Brittany, the delivery/shopper person who made my day hell by refusing to bring my groceries up to the apartment because she couldn't find parking???? She then proceeded to be rude and unaccommodating. I want my tip back, she certainly doesn't deserve it and she is the reason I will probably never use Instacart again. Then the disappointment of the produce picked, the avacados are already so soft and ripe that I will probably have to throw them out. I'm always amazed that I can do a week's shopping and pay the same price as in larger markets with few exceptions. Everything I need from beauty products and vitamins to beer and wine is available. The bulk aisles include products from soup to nuts and are so much fun to peruse. Produce is consistently fresh and lasts longer than what I've bought elsewhere. Deli items are from Boar's Head, but there are less expensive alternatives. The produce department carries many organic items at the lowest prices I've found. There's now a Sprouts brand that's high-quality and adds even more savings to my bill. The weekly sales are generous, and feature items from different departments. The store is consistently spotless and staff is friendly. It's wonderful to be cheerfully greeted by staff. It's a small market so I'm in and out in no time. There's plenty of parking and the store is conveniently located at the corner of Menchaca and William Canon. I've shopped there since it opened at least 10 years ago. If you've never shopped there, you're missing a unique experience. read more

Management at this place is beyond incompetent. It seems this place is place straight out of "idiocracy" as none of the management is capable of any critical thinking....at all. When all other establishments update their openings/closings on their website during this winter fiasco, Sprouts management felt is unnecessary to update anything on their website and instead chicken scrawled a white board (barely legible is the point here) and placed it in the parking lot for everyone to discover they are closed until "getting porta potties". The management is as inept as the state's leadership in decision making and instead of being pioneers of radical change....sprouts management just follows the insane example of leadership they see in politics and to hell with common sense or the community. Won't return here and seeing all the lack of management response to the homeless camp nearby, human waste/defecation in the parking and many other unsanitary conditions is a direct reflection of the piss poor management who should be fired and replaced at this point. (that is my 12+ years as HR manager talking and I don't believe in firings unless they never learn from anything or refuse to cooperate in being a good employee.) Sprouts Corporate - if you care about making serious changes to this location DM with your information and I will provide you will contact to my consulting firm who will MAKE the changes happens that your leadership continues to ignore. this was my first and last time at any sprouts store. would definitely not recommend shopping here unless you want to be racially profiled. This older lady employee came to ask me and my mother 3 times if we needed help in the span of 2-3 min. while we were in the same aisle. by the third time she bought security with her. didn't see the purpose of bringing her over. we were browsing the many options that they had in the vitamin section. and by the time we checked out- we did self checkout and I had a coupon and I scanned it- the machine said to insert the coupon- which I did but it still kept saying to insert the coupon over and over again. and no employee was there to help out. I saw an employee around our area and I asked him for help but he couldn't hear me because he had his earphones on. had to wait to get help. apparently this was the second time this has happen to my mother in the same store by the same employee. can't shop in peace. definitely would not recommend. read more

I came for a quick bit of shopping here in quite sometime. The store is much cleaner now and seems brighter. This is not where I do my main shopping, but I do stop in now and then to see if there is something unique or different that we may like to try. One young man was particularly helpful. The store seems to cater mostly to people who have food restrictions or have made non-mainstream choices. The meat and fish sections now seem larger, but it does not seem to be focused on those as opposed to vegetarian, or gluten free. Fun place to browse. Their produce is at the right mark for me to keep coming back. They're the least expensive for organic anything in town. Additionally, they have a decent selection of gluten free in the freezer. Areas to improve on: 1. The gluten free baking section I avoid because you don't carry King Arthur baking mixes like their GF bread mix or their GF vanilla cupcake mix. 2. Customer service is hit or miss. The produce workers are ALWAYS friendly and helpful. The cashiers, however, are unpredictable. One was having a bad day, and I asked how he his day was going, he went into a downward spiral story, flipped out and left the register. The manager came over and had to finish the transaction. I informed the manager of the N Lamar store of this, and I returned another day. The same male cashier was still a bit unsettling, so I have decided to bring my business to the Manchaca store only. Great perks! They have awesome bulk spices available, so if you only need a pinch, it's fantastic.
