I really love Sprouts and try to do most of my shopping here. The front end help is always kind and appropriately chatty. I love how it seems like everyone wants to be there. It's always a great option for a deli sandwich or other quick bite. Bought lamb from Sprouts on Baseline in Boulder on November 5th. Cooked and ate part of it with family before noticing some pieces had a strong rotten/off flavor. Immediately threw out the entire package and the whole meal we'd prepared with it. Contacted customer support the next day for a refund. Was told the manager would call me back; never happened. Have followed up four times over the past two weeks and keep getting told it's "escalated to the district manager." Still no call, no refund, no resolution. Very concerned that spoiled meat made it to customers and that Sprouts has ignored this for weeks. This is a serious food-safety issue. read more

It is surprising how much better this Sprouts has been in the last 2 years. It is convenient to me for when my regular groceries hit a bump in the road on availability. But I also now find products that have disappeared from the bigger stores. This chain hits a few more categories that I sometimes need. It is a small store but quite close by. The staff is friendly but also in short supply to look for stock of hard to find or missing items. Checkout can be slow. I am finding certain produce items here that are fresher and less expensive than in the big supermarkets that I usually use. Sprouts does seem to source differently on some items. Recently, they have had the freshest, tastiest sugar snap peas ever. And they are carrying some more local products, like pints of Gelato Boy sorbets and gelatos. The flavors they carry cover the dairy free and gluten free options too, though I don't need either. But they are tasty. This store has less selections than the bigger Sprouts a bit farther away, but it does serve a purpose for me. And neither store has all of the basic flavors that the Pearl Street Mall Gelato Boy locations serve fresh by the serving. Though they too have a freezer of pints of some of their flavors. But having a grocery carrying them is a real bonus for convenience. read more

I really have to say this store has made so much progress in the past few years. It is smaller than the arapahoe location but as a shopper I feel like the smaller size works a lot better I feel seen by the employees. I always run into Owen who is a head cashier at this location and any time something doesn't ring up right (which happens nearly every time I shop) he runs around checking for me, he always seems to really care about how my day is going and I can say that about many of the employees at this location it seems like the team really enjoys working there. My husband is always pleased with the quality of meat that is sold at sprouts which is the complete opposite of the Safeway in Boulder whose meat always seems to spoil after a day or two. Highly recommend this sprouts but don't want to talk it up too much as I like the quiet nature of the store! read more

I shop at this store fairly often and the service is always great. The store is organized and because it's a smaller store it's easy to find everything you need. I really love getting my produce here. I feel like it's always fresher than other stores. The cashiers are super nice. Last time I was there Cayden helped me figure out the Sprouts app which saved me some money. Definitely recommend. read more

Here's the thing, I live near this store and usually don't frequent it because I find it to be both more pricey and less stocked with fresh organic produce than I normally like. HOWEVER!!! In these times if Covid-19 its my total go to! The staff are trying so hard to keep up and be friendly and safe ... and surprise, I can now find just what I need! (I just wish that they'd get rid of all that candy and high fructose corn syrup snack crap in the front of the store ... that stuff doesn't say "sprouts" or "farmers market" to me), still thanks for being open and kind in such hard times read more

In general, the products themselves are decent and sometimes there are occasionally great deals to be had. However, in my 44 years of life this is the only grocery store where you're expected to bag your own groceries. I know that this may initially sound like a petty complaint, but the uncomfortable feeling I get from the looks they give me and the matter-of-fact tone they carry on with about bagging is the only thing that makes me not want to shop at that location. Now, I kind of understand during the COVID era that this may be a thing, except that even then they have to touch every single item to scan them which then forces you to touch them immediately afterwards to bag them. Where otherwise you would just have to grab the handles of the bag. But, they already had the anti-bagging mentality, preCovid. And instead of acknowledging that their standards for bagging for the paying customer are very different than just about any other grocery store, they instead just start sliding the products to the end of the counter as if anything else would be US disrespecting THEM, and give you a look like "you gonna hop on that?" It honestly feels like an employee started the mindset of not bagging, and then has somehow convinced the rest of the employees that, "we are people too and we should take a stand on bagging." 80% of the time I shop there, I spend over $100. Having my products bagged seems like something I shouldn't even have to think about, especially since the standard has been, and is, the opposite everywhere else (as far as grocery stores are concerned). Is it not technically in their job description? Does Sprouts purposely do this differently, or is just a cliquey thing the employees have decided to do at just this Sprouts? Their checkout counters have the bagging option right next to the scanner, so it seems like it was meant to be used at some point. I've always understood it as basic costumer service. read more

Sprouts is a good alternative to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. Their selection is decent and prices are good. My only suggestion is to use the fruits and vegetables as soon as possible. My experience has been that the fruits and vegetables spoil quickly. The stores are a bit small, but are modern. The staff is very low key and friendly. Check out their ads, since you will always find good prices on sale items. My go to when I'm tired of Whole Foods prices. read more

Horrible Service. I stopped in to pick up a single item that was out of stock at the Sprouts I usually go to. It was about 9:30 on a Monday evening, and relatively busy when I got in line. After a couple minutes, another cashier opened another register, but took the customer behind me in line. There was a couple in front of me with only 3 items who could've switched registers easily enough, and I only had my one item. And there was also another customer waiting at the other open register. Of the four choices, she took the customer who had been waiting the least amount of time. When I confronted her on my way out, she claimed she didn't see me. I'm 6'2", 225 lbs, and was wearing a bright blue shirt, so I call shenanigans on her obvious lie passing as a lame excuse. I asked for her name so I'd know who to complain about, and she told me it was Ellie as she hid her name tag from me. She was an older woman with grey hair wearing a head cashier t-shirt. If that's the best they can do for a head cashier, then they're in trouble. To add insult to injury, my one item was priced wrong in the computer. The cost in the computer was higher than what was listed at the shelf. It took the cashier I stayed with a couple minutes to fix that error. read more

Unpretentious (unlike Whole Foods), reasonably priced (unlike Whole Foods), had CHEAP spaghetti, acorn and butternut squashes (unlike Whole Foods), and plenty of parking (unlike Whole Foods). You can eat almost entirely out of Sprouts for damn little money (unlike Whole Foods) for an entire week or more. They don't have "everything," but it's very good enough. The only places I've found with comparable quality and relatively low prices like these are a tienda or two in Chicago. read more

I finally ventured over to the Sprouts side of town to give this grocery store a try. What'd I think? I wish the 203 bus ran more frequently; this would be my go-to shopping spot. Wouldn't go so far to say I wish I still lived in Will Vill... but close. Back in my day (of living in Will Vill) the only thing nearby was a Dairy Queen and a McDonalds. Lucky kids today... they don't know how good they've got it. The bulk deals and the deli section are what make this place - I got a delicious cherry/candied walnut/chocolate/almond trail mix here for $3.99, and various sandwich meats for $4.99/lb. They had French Brie on sale too, which made it very easy for me to make my favorite sandwich cheaply (fig jam, Brie, ham, spinach, and red onion on sourdough or multigrain). Oh yeah, did I mention a loaf of multigrain bread was $1.99? Like most Whole Foods competitors, the ice cream section was way overpriced (I'm not sure why this is, but it holds true for Sunflower, Lucky's, Niwot Market...) as were the baking supplies. And I prefer the produce quality at Sunflower, actually, even though the price point is roughly equal. Aside from produce, though, all distances being equal, I'd probably prefer to shop here over every other grocery store in Boulder. read more

I didn't like Sprouts when it first opened, I thought it was small and kinda weird...., but now I am a total convert. I buy all my fruits/veggies here (what I can't get from the Boulder Farmers Market on Saturday). The prices for their weekly specials are great, for example: 3 mangoes for $1, cantaloupe for around 70 cents, avocados 2 for $1 etc, red bell peppers 50 cents each... the list goes on. Good prices on various meats if you are into that sort of thing. Nice selection of cheeses and bakery items as well. I like their bulk section, you can get how much you want or can buy prepacked tubs. I especially like that they have Australian Licorice here, if you are an Aussie like me and like licorice, Sprouts is the place to get it. Never really busy in the store and you can get in and out quickly (unlike wholefoods). I think Sprouts is an undiscovered little gem. read more

I'm quickly learning that when I go to Sprouts I need to go with a detailed shopping list. The deals are just too good that if I don't, I end up checking out with much more than I planned. I'm a big fruit and veggie eater, and I like the deals they have especially on produce. They highlight local but will say where things are from and if it is organic or not. I like having that option since some foods are more important than others to have less pesticides. It is small, so unfortunately there are some things I still need to grab at Whole Foods. Things like coconut oil and maple syrup just come in larger quantities at a better price than what they carry. Altogether I highly suggest Sprouts as your daily/weekly market for standard food items. read more

Sprouts is on the pricey side which makes it difficult as a college student but this sprouts is a block away from my apartment. It's convenient because it's walking distance and the store is clean and the employees have always been friendly and helpful. But I seem to have less groceries for the week when I shop here then I do at king soopers which is close but not nearly as close as this sprouts. All in all it's great location that's clean, close, and friendly staff but you're definitely paying more for it. read more

I just did a mega shop for a family reunion. Nice selection of organic and inorganic. Minimal deli selection but that's what I expected. Reasonable prices. Super helpful and nice staff. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because one of the stock check employees had terrible body odor, like really bad, which as a customer is not conducive to feeling like one is having a clean, hygienic experience. The worst food store in Boulder by a long shot. The layout is very confusing and time consuming to figure out and they do not staff enough people to offer help finding things or simply providing services. The majority that are there take a "not my job" attitude. That's exactly what the butcher did after he acting arrogant and sarcastic. The guys at the deli ignored me while I stood waiting for service while they jawed it up. Then one told me to ask the other guy. I went there twice this weekend. I am definitely a fan of Sprouts. Their produce section has some unbelievabe deals and decent quality. Their selection is simultaneously surprising and delightful (i.e. their candy) and unusual (i.e. guava paste). What really defines my love for Sprouts are the $3.99 sandwiches. Now you're speaking my language! I had no idea how reasonably priced they were until I made my way to the register for the first time. For a brief moment, I assumed they forgot to add that obligatory premium for avocado slices - but no! It is as straight forward as it seems. My partner is enamored with Sprouts. He has an obsession with garlic pickles that are not brined in vinegar. After scouring international marts from Boulder to Aurora, he finally found the perfect Jewish pickles tucked by the deli cases at this Sprouts location. Success, at long last! read more

Sunflower Market, Vitamin Cottage and Whole Foods all reside in Boulder . . so there's really no reason to come to Sprouts unless you want poorer quality food at more expensive prices. I've been here a couple times and I've always found something about this place to dislike. The first time I came here, I went to the deli to purchase 1/2 lb. of sliced turkey. I came to find out that even though they have a full deli with all the staff and equipment capable of doing custom orders, they have made the conscious decision to not allow that option. You are only able to purchase the pre-sliced, pre-packaged meat that is provided in the display window. When I questioned them about it, I received a very hostile response. Guess they need to take a few courses in customer service here. Sprouts lacks a lot of the standard items you would expect to find in grocery stores. I came here the other day to buy a Vitamin Water . . no such luck. You can buy a Vitamin Water at virtually every grocery store, big box store and gas station around, but I guess you can't buy one here. LAME with a capital L. First time in last night. Was looking for GoodBelly and Emergen-C. Goodbelly was available but was priced at $4.49. Fifty cents more than King Soopers regular price and more than a dollar more than Vitamin Cottage. That's okay, I understand. I'm not buying GoodBelly at Sprouts. It's what's next that blew my mind. Their price on Emergen-C was $14.39. That's right...$14.39. Oh, yes, everything in the Vitamin Dept. was 25% off but $14.39 to start? Puh-leeeze....oldest game in the book. King Soopers sells Emergen-C for $8.49 and Vitamin Cottage's regular price is $7.75. When I asked the gentleman at the Vitamin desk about the price he was the most disinterested human being I've interacted with in a very long time. I could go on but I'm done. And, I'm done with Sprouts in Boulder. They're opening one soon in Longmont and hope they don't plan on those pricing games as my guess is...that dog won't hunt in Longmont! read more

Sprouts is on my way home from school, so I've stopped in here often enough just to pick up a few things... only to find they don't have half of what I want. Their produce selection is pretty good, but I've been there when there are no yellow onions out (a pantry staple). I find it odd that they have almost no frozen veggies (not even organic) - I needed some peas to finish a recipe and I had to make another stop at King Soopers on the way home to get some. Natural/organic pre-packaged goods are comprable to other places in town, as are their bulk items. I do like that they have bulk spices, though, which is really convenient. Sometimes they have good deals on bulk stuff, but never what I'm actually want when I want it. Prices here seem to be more on the Whole Foods level which is definitely a detractor. I have friends who live at Bear Creek and they'll drive elsewhere instead of walking across the street. If I need groceries, I'll take Folsom home and just make a stop at Sunflower. read more

Just opened a week ago in Boulder. We were only in town for a few days, but this was the perfect stop to pick up sandwiches (fresh and made-to-order for only $3.99!), fruit, and bulk snacks for a hike at Chautauqua. Good prices, good products, and a manageable size store so you can get in and out quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Owned by same family as Henry's Farmers Markets in other areas, with very similar layout and products. read more

Certainly a fan of Sprouts, and am a huge fan their deli. This is a little market that follows a wild oats, Sunflower market sort of theme. This particular one is in a great location for me, near my work. I love the deli and the $3.99 sandwiches they have. Its a great place to shop while you wait. There are always great sales, and a fantastic selection of meats, cheeses, and produce. They have a fantastic bulk section as well. My favorite item of the moment; chocolate and caramel covered popcorn. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm I highly suggest taking a trip here and checking it out. Things I don't love about it:, they frequently don't have enough people up front at check out and some of the produce you have to avoid. read more

It's not Whole Foods, but that's a good thing. Not that I don't shop at Whole Foods, but at Sprouts you can find bargains, great trail mix, lower prices and PARKING! It's a bit south, but they have great prices on produce and bread. Sure the quality isn't uber perfect like Whole Payche... Whole Foods, but as my mom used to say, "your stomach doesn't have eyes!" Check out Sprouts, they don't have everything thing under the sun like Whole Foods, but they have a lot a good selection and are affordably priced -- a nice little market! read more

Sprouts is affordable and they have majority of what I need. They offer brands that are usually more environmentally friendly at a more manageable price. The offer a nice variety in the bulk food section and usually have great produce. Its my favorite store unless I need to purchase something like diet coke or toilet tissue that doesn't feel like sandpaper. If you shop on Wednesday they have double ads so more stuff is on sale that day than any other day (similar to Sunflower Market). read more

Ok, maybe I was a little harsh. I've been visiting the other stores in Boulder, trying to get an informed opinion. Sprouts still isn't inspiring, but they do carry some interesting product. They have a partial selection of good cooking oils, spices, organic vegies. I'm still put off that I didn't find any organic dry black beans, what's up with that? Staple food - what if I just want to survive off organic rice and black beans, is that so much to ask? They do have canned organic bbs. I noticed that their prices are a little lower than full-price at Whole Paycheck and Alfs. New bottom line - I'll try to figure out what they have and shop here, especially for the convenience factor. They still need to get some inspiration. Next mission - figure out if they are locally owned or just Safeway with a different name. read more
