Ok, so a few years ago, I used to make fun of the types of folks who shop organic- because I was ignorant. Since I have gotten older, I am more conscious of my health than ever before. I am making a concerted effort to go organic for produce, meat and poultry- and everything else, even pasta. Sprouts has an amazing assortment of everything (even wine) and they have delivery via several apps in the El Paso area. As a new El Pasoan, I shopped at this sprouts location for the first time only after hearing positive things from new friends I've made. Being that I'm new here, to El Paso and Sprouts, I was actually kind of blown away with what I saw, purchased and consumed, especially being from a big city like SATX. Everything I used to meal prep for the week provided a much fresher taste, the deli was delicious to which I recommend the pesto and chicken, and lastly most surprising and inviting was how friendly staff was. I'm not bashing my home city, but I would never receive such great customer service from employees or management in SATX, everyone here was gracious and helpful, especially whom I assume was management as there was an older gentleman that was incredibly personable and helpful going from customer to employee to make sure everyone was okay. 10/10 highly recommend, especially to those that are in need of great customer service, and yes I will be returning weekly for my groceries (and the pesto and chicken sandwich). read more

This particular Sprouts location has gone downhill dramatically. I have purchased produce here recently that was not as fresh as at Costco or Target, and I paid a premium price for those products at this Sprouts store. The seafood, fruit, and vegetables are longer as fresh as what was offered when the store first opened. Apparently it is time for new management and/or senior level long term store personnel to be evaluated. I believe it is time for the regional office to intervene. read more

Me and my husband shop here frequently due to its proximity to our home. Small store that has everything you need. Great for any quick purchases! You are able to get in and out quickly. Their items are more pricier in comparison to other grocery stores. Aside from their price, their vegetables and fruits are fresh. The store also contains a large variety of vitamins and supplements. They have a bakery area and a meat area. The store is always very clean and organized. There is usually no wait line to purchase items. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wow. I'm shocked. After going here for almost 2 years, I'm disgusted. I went to Sprout's Sunland Park location to purchase a few organic items. As my usual, I go ahead and get my beans from the bulk section of the store. A week after purchase, I opened my bag, poured my beans in water so they can soak for 8 hours up until dinner and I found insects. I was so shocked. I couldn't believe my eyes. (There's a photo & a video displaying the PLU code for proof) I'm very disappointed. This is so unsanitary and I really hope this review will alert customers before getting anything from the bulk section & I also hope management and their team members go the extra mile in keeping a safe and healthy environment for shoppers in the near future. I like Sprouts! Their food is always fresh. It's not the least expensive grocery store in town but the quality is good. I usually come here when I want to get something quick for dinner like a rotisserie chicken, a salad and/or deli meat. Their meat is of good quality and reasonably priced. They have an extensive wine selection. Their boneless wings and broccoli and cheese soup were ok but not spectacular. Both were sort of bland, especially the soup. They usually have pretty good deals on their produce. These probably change weekly like at other stores. The day I went, the corn on the cob was 6 for $1. That's a good deal! One of our favorite snacks are the Coconut Rolls. They're delish and highly addictive! We can finish a bag in one sitting. They sort of remind me of an ice cream cone but a little bit softer. They also have some flavored with chocolate. I haven't tried those yet. They were $2.50 a bag but worth every penny! I think I need to make another stop soon! I need some snacks while watching GOT. If you haven't seen that show, check it out! It has action, comedy, sex, blood, cool dragons and more! I'm sad it's ending! Anyway, yeah, check out Sprouts. I always go there when I'm looking for fresh organic veggies. Considering that it is not a huge supermarket, they have a wide variety of veggies and they are not that expensive. Also, these organic veggies last way longer. Besides fresh veggies, they have so many kinds of vegan meat and daily products. It is fun to just go there and look at the products they have. read more

This is the best farm-fresh, organic grocery store in El Paso. Right now. Hang on El Pasoans, more places coming - a little birdie told me we're next in line for a Whole Foods and where there's a Whole Foods, there's a Trader Joe's. But Sprouts is top of the line and I think even with much larger competition coming to the area, they'll do just fine. There are a few other organic and specialty stores that are in the area, but as far as selection Sprouts has the best. Albertson's produce selection rivals Sprouts, but not their organic produce. Me, personally, I'm not a stickler for organic. organic. organic, but I do like to know what's going into my body. So while I will purchase produce from Albertson's for two reasons (1. Their selection is much better than any Walmart in the area; and 2. They're convenient because they're only down the road from me), I prefer to buy produce from Sprouts or just locally from a market or a farm. The produce is reasonably and competitively priced with other grocery stores so if that's all you're looking for I'd say go straight to Sprouts! Also, they have just about every veggie and fruit I could possibly think of. Being in the produce section just makes me happy. The meats and cheeses can be a little on the high end, but if you catch them on sale you'll walk away with a steal. The meats are good cuts and so keep in mind you're paying for quality, but I don't find myself making as many meat purchases here unless I need a very lean, grass-fed cut. Breads for days! I love the breads and muffins here and they are priced very well so that's a win. I really think Sprouts has one of the better bakery options for a grocery store in the area. But where I find myself spending the most time is the Bulk Foods section. It's wonderful! I like to buy rice and nuts and sugars and flour and trail mixes and dried fruits oats just everything I loved about being able to shop at food co-ops in Wisconsin. The only thing they're missing is honey sticks, but I can live without it. I love being able to choose how much I go home with and being able to really choose what I'd like. Simply wonderful! Now, if you want to buy frozen foods and foods in a can or box, you're going to pay more for the organic stuffs. Yes, sure it makes making a meal a little bit faster, but you can do it yourself for a fraction of the price by purchasing the ingredients yourself. But the boxed stuff is there if you want it. Sprouts is a great place to shop with friendly and helpful employees. This is a great place to start if you're trying to eat healthy or if you're just tired of poor looking produce. We love Sprouts. This review is more about our visit on Sunday. The selection is outstanding and usually the associates are very helpful, though we have been ignored at the meat counter on occasion. The quality normally is very good, if not great. We were so disappointed that a number of red raspberry containers for sale had mold growing on them. You didn't have to look closely to spot the moldy berries, they really stood out. Standing near the raspberries was a Sprouts worker stocking the peaches. The cart he was using was large and besides blocking the entire peach display, partially covered the mango section. I had to wait until the worker walked away for a moment to pick out some peaches. When he returned, he stood closely behind me making me feel very uncomfortable. In fairness, I have never seen mold on any berries at Sprouts, before. I just didn't understand why so many containers with such visible mold were left for sale. Regardless, Sprouts still has the best produce selection at the best overall prices in town. And, their seafood is good, too. read more

When comparing sprouts to the other west side grocery stores (Whole Foods, Albertsons, Walmart), Sprouts makes a good push as a better priced alternative with a large selection of organic and non-organic produce as well as a vast selection of other food products. The produce selection is what shines: no other store has the variety of produce sprouts has. Their frequent sales also dwarf Whole Foods' sales, and the overall price of produce is lower. The number of bulk products (nuts, grains, dried fruits) is greater than the selection at Whole Foods. Although Whole Foods has other amenities (hot food, bar, coffee shop), strictly for produce, Sprouts has it beat. read more

I bought some Cod at this place. It seemed very reasonably priced, which in retrospect was a hint of things to come. My wife cooked it and starting eating it. To my surprise, I noticed a very clear ammonia smell to it. I asked my wife if the recipe she used required cleaning products. She did not appreciate the question. Oviously, I could not eat this fish so She went head and prepared another recipe using some of the same fish we had left in the fridge. SAME horrible smell. I did my research and found out this fish was going or was bad/spoiled. Nasty. No wonder the price was so good. No more Sprouts for me folks. Today I had a sour start to my day. Thanks to the cashier by the name of Amy. She not only excessively and unnecessarily used too many paper bags to pack my groceries, but when asking her kindly to change out my U.S dollar coins to quarters she IGNORANTLY replies "oh we don't convert pesos". Excuse me?!?! After informing her that these coins that I'm holding out for her to clearly see are U.S coins she then responds " Well I don't know if the machine will read it". Fine. Here I am with my coins out waiting for her find out. She doesn't even bother to do that. She never gave me an actual answer or bother doing her job properly and at least ask her manager. I frequent this store as I'm a big fan of Boar's Head deli meat, however, I find the deli counter to lack customer service skills. No greeting, not even a 'be right with you.' I recently moved to El Paso from Seattle and this was the closest I could find to a Whole Foods, PCC or Trader Joe's. It's nice to have a place to go for organic food, however the prices are a bit out of place and the selection is average. I would rate the staff friendly but not willing to go out of their way to be nice. I wish that had a larger selection of vegan, vegetarian baked goods and a deli. I do like their bulk selection! It was also nice they have essential oils, etc. I did notice that Albertson's offers a lot of produce and food as well. The people in the store are a bit snobby which makes me chuckle a bit because it's by no means a Whole Foods or PCC. Hopefully, Trader Joe's is considering opening a store here in El Paso. read more

It was a Saturday afternoon before the Superbowl. Personally, I could care less because the 49ers weren't playing so I didn't even think about just how many people would be grocery shopping for their superbowl parties. Plus, I work on Sundays so I wasn't thinking. All I wanted were brussel sprouts and asparagus. Lesson learned - never, ever go to Sprouts on a Saturday afternoon if all you're buying are two bags of vegetables. It's not worth it. I believe a third of El Paso was patronizing Sprouts the very same time I got a craving for vegetables. Waited in line for what seemed like an eternity. Avoid the crowds on the weekends. By far the best place to grab your produce in all of El Paso. It's like whole foods and trader joe's had a little baby and their baby was sprouts. Its got as much selection as whole foods however it feels like a trader joes in its country vibe and decorations. I hope that they open a place on the east side. The inaccessibility of sprouts to those who live on the east side forces me to give sprouts a 3/5. Otherwise it's a great place; but not great enough to pay more for higher quality food AND more in gas. It's one or the other. Since this is the only place to get organic produce and vegan foods. I will give a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. However, the customer service is horrible! Checkout lines score a big fat ZERO out of 5 stars. They are horrible!!! The cashiers are slow as it gets and seem to not be friendly at all. I have been to this location 2-3 times weekly since moving here in December and it has not changed. Baggers are not very mindful of what to place in bags...(can goods with bread?!) Floor employees score a big fat ZERO out of 5 stars. Not very educated on vegan lifestyle or vegetarian for that matter. I have asked several employees if they carried certain items or if they could be ordered... Then I get the deer in the head lights look..... and pointed to an isle where they "think" what you are talking would be located... Quality of food for the price paid scores 4 out of 5 stars. Sprout's seems to be the go-to store in EP for locating organic and specialty dietary foods (gluten-free, grass-fed, raw, non-GMO, etc) as well as general health and beauty products (vitamins, essential oils, soap, lotions, sunscreen, etc). If you've ever been to Whole Foods or Trader Joe's, you'll get pretty much the same thing here but in a smaller sized store. Prices are if-y. Some things are insanely overpriced, some are competitive, and others are a good deal. The sales are when you can really score. If I am interested in a non-food product though, even if it is Burt's Bee balm, I price compare on my handy dandy smartphone before committing. Those things seem to be the most inflated. The store itself is well maintained and clean. The employees are super friendly, which is great since some of your fellow shoppers are not quite the same way. Lines move fast. If you bring your own shopping bag, you get a 10 cent credit. read more
