This place is definitely rated a 5 for service and atmosphere. The only reason why overall it's a 4 is because they showcased pastries which looked and were touted to be really delicious but fell short for me: the apple cinnamon cake was so dense and had an overbearing heavy hand of cinnamon. I know I may sound too picky but having to watch my sugar intake for the day, I snubbed all other pastries at 4 other coffee shops for this one and was disappointed. Now on a great positive note: nice space with a comfy corner with comfy chairs tucked in the back side of the shop, and a side door to its outside patio seating area. Neat little place I would definitely recommend parking in the back because the front is 30 minutes only... I did a weird thing and instead of walking around I walk through the hotel but either one works interesting. I love this location! Service is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the coffee is delicious. I have brought home beans several times to make my own brew at home. There is indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy your coffee, catch up with friends, or work for a while. The food was good, and fresh. I loved the extra hot coffee with a sleeve to grab hold of while my hands warmed up. The service was good while I waited, I did not feel ignored by the coffee maker who was working on another order. When I got my drink, it wasn't what I enjoyed, but they remade another drink for me (and a delicious loaf) and it was perfect. I highly recommend the Ethiopian Macchiato. I don't normally go for espresso drinks with added syrups (think candy bar in a cup) but my barista superbly crafted this offering so that the caramel and amaretto flavors were subtle and delicious. Will return! read more

We tried this coffee shop out today after going to the art festival nearby and were very pleased. They had a lot of seating inside and outside. The baristas were very nice and helpful. Have you ever seen the meme where people are wearing fake stuff, with brands like adddias, Louise Vitten or Niike printed on them? This is what I think of this place. This place is a branch of the Revocup that I love....That is Revocup South (as well as Revocup on 119th and Nall), which I called the best coffeeshop in the Kansas City area. Coming back from a ski trip, I'd thought I would try this place, as it was on my way home. But it wasn't. In fact, it was pretty terrible. I got a drip coffee and a scone. It was about $6.25 which is a great deal when it comes to artisanal coffee houses in the area, but there were three problems. The first two had to do with the scone: 1. The first scone had hair in them. 2. The first and replacement scones were rock hard and tasted old. This is not what I have come to expect from Revocup. It looked like their food, but didn't taste like it. The third problem was that they didn't accept the loyalty card and refused stamp it. They said they had their own. That was never a problem with the other two locations I've visited it. In fact, that is why I wondered if this was a fake Revocup store (on top of my opinion that the food was awful). I should've double checked the sign outside, maybe I had stumbled into a REEVOCUP and not the real thing. Here's a bit of advice, if you want to be considered a chain brand, have a united loyalty service, like Messenger, Roasterie and other KC chains do. read more

I grabbed a Milky Way (caramel and chocolate) latte and a bagel, and met my friend there who got a decaf coffee with Almond milk and a lemon-blueberry loaf cake...yum! I loved our quick visit here today! They're perfectly located between orange theory and Gomer's on 87th street. There's currently a lot if construction going on close by, but they have convenient street parking right there. (I mention this only because google map will take you closer to the public market side of things, only to be on the opposite side of the street. Onto the good stuff! I had a REALLY good red bone mocha which is basically a raspberry mocha. Sometimes raspberry flavoring can be really sweet to me, but this one was perfect. My daughter and I shared a chocolate chip scone which was also super tasty. The inside of this coffee joint is really big and open but also has these corners where you can be comfy on their couch, or more off to the corner. We sat by the windows so we could be in the open, and then eventually made our way to their patio ares that's off to the side. I loved the red brick and how half of the patio is shaded by the building, but also can get some sun if you'd like. Revocup is absolutely one of the best coffee shops in the KC area. Everything on the menu not only tastes incredible, but is also consistent. Most coffee places let you down a time or two but I've never had a bad experience at Revocup. I always order the Milky Way (such a classic!) and it has always been perfection. Traveling and we always look for local coffee. The place seemed to be set up nice except parking options are horrible unless you live upstairs and drive a bike. My wife said the staff was sort of friendly, I couldn't go in because we had no place to park pulling a trailer. The district is new, looks cool but poorly designed for anyone not local. So to the real point, and reason for three stars. It's rare for me to review something I didn't enjoy but I feel it's important here. I didn't taste any coffee at all in this Carmel latte. Is was like drinking froth and hot water with some sweetener added. So the three stars is because my wife said the staff was polite. The sweet water was overpriced and under loved for sure and we won't stop here again for coffee when passing through. So excited to get another local coffee shop in Lenexa City Center area. I popped in with my toddler late afternoon for a cappuccino and a treat. The cafe is so clean and open. The tables are spaced far from the counter so you don't feel like you are intruding on conversations as you order. And the owner, Nate is amazing. Very personable and welcoming. The outdoor patio with plenty of dog dishes for water was what stood out. It is large and peaceful. Another umbrella or two would be nice though. The have little mini breads from Serene's Bakery, at the time they had three or four offerings. Along with a variety of scones, bagels and an almond tart that looked incredible. Not sure where they come from. They also now offer sandwiches, even a veggie option. Again, not sure if they are made in house or brought in. My daughter's chocolate chip scone looked great and it was huge for the price, $2.50 I believe. There is always a house brew going as well as a second option for drip coffee and they offer milk alternatives; almond, coconut and soy. I love my drinks extra hot and Nate picked up on that and made it exactly so. It rivaled the cappuccinos I just had in Italy. All in all we will be regulars and prices were spot on. A scone, an 8 ounce cappuccino with almond milk, a 12 ounce drip with soy added for $10. Side note, the restrooms were very clean as well. The barista was very friendly and appropriately masked up due to covid19. They had hand sanitizer available at the register and signage for social distancing. I was surprised to see Revocup had another location other than the one by JCCC! Not sure how new this place is but the place is quiet and the coffee is great! The time I visited was around 2pm on a Saturday and it was still very quiet. There is WiFi -free- so that's always great. Also there are good amount of plug ins for your electronics by the walls! Really appreciate that little touch for people who need to get some work done! The parking may look limited...BUT there is a parking garage behind the store/ behind the hotel. I think it's o my 2 floors high but it's nice to park in the shade when you can ( the top is a surface lot). I got the zebra mocha - mix of dark and white chocolate and 0% zebra the animal. Since I like sweet drinks... I can't say much about the quality of the coffee but I think the coffee here does have a darker taste. It's more bitter than other mochas I've had in Starbucks or the Roasterie- BUT the bitterness works well with the sweetness. I really can't tell there are two different types of chocolate ...but maybe that's because I'm not a professional. The service was very quick - though keep in mind that the place was not busy when I was here. I would def come here again if I was nearby. I have come here so many times I've honestly lost track. Revocup in Lenexa is the perfect place to meet friends, study, or meet up for a casual date. The manager, Nate, is one of the kindest baristas I've ever met. He even remembers your name! You can tell that they care about every drink order. Every barista is very knowledgable with the menu and is very patient if you ever have any questions. Also the chocolate chip scone was to die for and was probably the size of my head. It wasn't too bad in price either, If I lived closer I would definitely go more often!
