Lost of "fake healthy" products loaded with unhealthy additives (seed oils, preservatives, dies, etc). Kudos to them for providing pasture raised organic eggs, grassfed milk and a few healthy bread options. Sprouts is the best grocery store in the area, yet, they have a lot to improve. read more

Today I went to my local Sprouts in Murphy looking for things to share with a client while visiting. I wanted biscotti to enjoy with my favorite Brazilian coffee. I asked Rosanna, who happens to be placing baked goods out, if they had biscotti. Sadly, they did not. Then she thought .... She showed me the baked goods they use to make biscotti and offered to bake FRESH for me some biscotti ready to pick up tomorrow. I was so touched that she would do this for me. BAIT & SWITCH at the Murphy location!! We visited Sat evening, 20th, and walked by the pre-prepared meals (beef stroganoff, grilled salmon, etc.). There was a sign stating "Buy one, get one 50% off of their single and family meals". We selected 4 meals, all underneath the sign and from the same bin. When we got to the register, 50% was credited for only one meal instead of two, as was advertised by the sign. The register attendant stated some times "it" does that or "they" mix up the meals when they stock them. He couldn't point to the "offending" selection and when I questioned further, I started hearing this diatribe of mealy-mouthed explanations coming from this poor man running the register, repeating the same reasons over and over. Yes, I should have called for a manager; yes, I should have removed ALL the meals in question. However, the dollar amount was not significant, and there was a line of several customers waiting in my lane, the only open lane; but, it was the principle of the store's tactics! In the end, it was late in the evening and I was too tired to argue ethics with the manager over $4... probably just what the store hoped for. read more

This store has really declined in recent years. Expired items on the shelves. Selling bad meat as the meat smells horrible before the expiration date on tag. Horrible customer service at the front check out. Today, Judy, who I think may be a lane supervisor, provided one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever gotten in this store. She was NOT friendly, SLOW, and distracted talking to the TURTLE slow cashier next to her the whole time I was in her line. She did not apologize for the wait. We were just standing there for a moment after she scanned all my items, so I thought maybe she forgot to hit a button or something. I asked if I could have my receipt. She scrunched up her eyebrows and got an attitude. REALLY! She then got attitude back to her. I will take my business elsewhere! read more

I liked the Sprouts concept but always used WF and CM. more selection, better prices, much wider aisle space! Without a reasonable alternative in Murphy, Sprouts it is. have always like Sprouts. They carry alot of items Central Market and Whole Foods stock at slightly higher prices in smaller stores. however, today I did find blueberries for $2.99 and blackberries for $.98!! (Not organic). This particular store could use some customer service training. I saw multiple employees cut customers off in the aisles and others answering questions not even making eye contact with the customers. Just Wrong. Customers are the life blood of a business. The checkout was slow as Christmas but bagger and checker were friendly and polite. read more

UPDATE: I decided to give this place another chance and to my surprise, nothing has changed. Dog food was expired for a YEAR On the shelves. Yes, a YEAR! They have the nerve to mark it down from $80 to $5 instead of throwing it away. It's June 2023 right now..and I saw food from June, July, and November of 2022! There wasn't just a few expired, the entire shelf was. I decided to check another brand that was also marked down, expired from December. Do you guys want to kill a dog? I told a woman beside me to check her food just in case hers are expired and what do you know? Her protein bars were expired from earlier this year. I can't wait until this place gets a massive lawsuit for getting people sick. read more

We moved here 4 years ago, we enjoy shopping there BUT NEVER EVER will I go to the deli. I have tried waving my hands hoping to be noticed, saying hello a few times, I have tried everything to get those people to notice me and they just keep talking about personal things and ignoring all the customers around. I have been shopping here for two years almost every Wednesday, and I think the employees are wonderful and friendly. The reason for the 3 stars: bagging. I nearly have a heart attack half the time bc I come home and find that half of my produce is bagged below heavy hard items and are halfway ruined. You guys have a couple of employees who bag very well regularly, but the other half seem to not know better and leave my produce smushed, which take their shelf life down by at least half. Tonight was another example: I've attached a photo--below all of those bottles and canned hard stuff are my bananas, plums and apples. I supplied only a couple of reusable bags, but it wasn't necessary to try to put as much as possible in each. Most of the time, I shop with my toddler and can't keep an eye on how my stuff is being bagged. At the very least, the produce should be separated from the shelf items. Please, please train your employees to learn that produce can be destroyed if not bagged properly. I've been going to another health food grocery store sometimes--it's pricier but it ends up costing the same for me if I have to throw out some of my stuff due to spoilage. Really though, otherwise, I enjoy shopping here. read more

I came here to do some healthy grocery shopping. I liked the produce selection, and prices were great. At least the sale items. I wasn't a huge fan of the seafood collection. They didn't offer a huge variety... and a lot of things were frozen. I was on the hunt for fresh and not previously frozen. Since they are a organic/upscale grocery store I thought they would offer it. The bread section was really good, I liked the options they had to choose from. I love the brioche bread that they sell here, it will change the way you make burgers. The staff was super friendly, and everyone wanted to help. The store was very clean and fully staffed. I went early in the morning, and I was surprised to see how many people they had working. read more

Sprouts has become my new addiction, and I've found myself here more than I should during the week. I've found a new appreciation for essential oils and bath/ body products that only contain natural ingredients. They have the additional 25% off body products occasionally and it's a nice excuse to go in and buy more products. The prices are not cheap, but the products are great. The store is well organized and the staff is pretty friendly. I've ran into some employees that didn't really help me find what I needed and I had to keep looking myself, but overall it hasn't been too bad of an experience. During lunchtime is the best time to go, barely anyone in the store. It's very relaxed. read more

I love Sprouts all the time for their great assortment of produce, wine and other organic foods but this year they saved my Thanksgiving! Woke up on Thanksgiving morning to find that the 22lb bird a relative brought might have become a little too thawed on the ride up to Dallas. I called all the other grocery stores to no avail but then went to Sprouts to find they had tons of fresh turkeys available! Also. Wednesdays are double ad days at Sprouts- the advertised specials for the week before and the week after that Wednesday are in effect. read more

Ok, I give. Up a star it goes. Since moving back to the area with higher nutrition standards than when I left, I've found myself suddenly depending on Sprouts. For a small little store that doesn't boast the array of your average grocery destination, it's all right. And it might have just been my college-induced frugality, but it seems that their prices are more reasonable that my original review surmises. I came in looking for grass-fed organic beef and I found it. Sirloin steak, flank steak, ground beef - and it was mostly in the $6-$8 a pound range, which was reasonable. I would have liked to see more organic/grass-fed/free range/ all natural options for other meats though, such as the chicken and pork varieties. But I hear they have bison meat, so I guess I can forgive that. I ended up getting a head of romaine lettuce for just under a buck and I'll be darned if it wasn't the best romaine I've ever had. They have reasonable sales and the clerk was generous in delving out coupons for my return visit. They even have a decent deli, offering a lot of quick meal options like pre-made salads to sandwiches, bean dip, and enchiladas. I even found a calorie-free raspberry vinaigrette that I'm super excited about. Will a grocery trip here be pricier? Yes. Especially if you're like me and used to spending thirty cents or less on a cup of (not so natural) yogurt. But can you find good natural quality that you can feel good about. Oh yes. At the very least, this is now my go to place for romaine and grass-fed beef. Depending on how this all natural yogurt and brown eggs go, that might also have to make those commitments. Overall, for those who are curious about making healthier nutrition choices or are just starting out, Sprout's is a good way to start. This store always seems to be well-stocked and kept very clean. And the staff seem to be available and helpful when you request it. It's especially great for those Wylie/Murphy dwellers who don't want to travel 18 miles to the nearest and more expensive Whole Foods. Keep an eye out for their sales flyer to see if this place might be for you. read more

Sprouts is my favorite grocery store. I come here maybe two times a week, sometimes more in case I forget certain ingredients or run out of things midway through cooking. This location is less than five minutes from where I live and I have no clue what I'd do for food if this place wasn't here. Sprouts has everything that caters to how immensely specific my diet is and it also carries all the toiletries that don't make me break out in hives. I get their newsletter once a week and it's always filled with really great deals on things I actually buy. The produce is fresh and there are a lot of organic options. And the vegan and/or gluten-free things are always on sale I usually wait for the good sales and then stock up on gluten free pastas. And what's nice is that the same products tend to go on sale relatively often. My only only complaint is that this store doesn't ever have Amy's Gluten Free Mac and Cheeze. Sometimes I can find one or two, but lots of times I come here and the little spot in the freezer where it should be is empty and my heart breaks a little and then I have to drive somewhere else farther away to get it. Please stock more Amy's gluten free mac and cheeze at a time so I can actually buy it here! read more

Sprouts falls somewhere between places like Albertsons and places like Central Market. They tend to have more selection of fruits, vegetables, and health foods than normal grocery stores but don't have quite the selection of specialty stores. However, the prices tend to be closer to (and often lower than) normal grocery stores, so in my opinion it's a good mix of both worlds. My only real complaint about the store is that it's a little poorly laid out. The bulk foods area, for example, has pretty narrow aisles and is also right next to the registers so when the store is busy, it's hard to work your way around in that area. read more

Kudos to this store and Rita in the meat department. I stopped by to place an order for a 16-20 lb turkey. They said they should have some coming in on Tuesday. When Tuesday came and they did not get any turkeys, Rita called the other stores and found several at the Plano Sprouts. She called me to see if I wanted them to have one reserved and brought over to their store so that I did not have to drive so far to get it. Excellent customer service! Give her a raise!!! read more

This has been my favorite grocer of all my travels. It is a wonderful combination of the quality of Whole Foods with a smaller price point and tons of local options.
