I would like to update my review. I went into this location around 8 pm. There was one worker in the deli, he was amazing !!! Such a kind man, he helped me with my order and made it promptly. I even got to try a new cheese, which I really enjoyed. I am currently eating my sandwich and it's truly the best I've ever had. I noticed I've never seen him before so if he's new he's doing great, compared to my past experience where multiple people are in the deli and I'm still not being helped promptly. This was such a great change of events. I absolutely would return. It may be specifically around this time in hopes of catching him as the worker in the deli. :) read more

This review is for the deli department at the Ahwatukee sprouts. I went for lunch and got two veggie sandwich's for myself and hubby. Eric made THEE BEST veggie sandwich hands down that I have had from Sprouts. I got it loaded with veggies and this is honestly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. If you are looking for a really good sandwich (they have many) but we are plant based so it's loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, mustard, Mayo, avocado, peppers, cucumbers, pickles, onions ) this is where you want to go. The prices are also great as well. I was full with just half of the sandwich. It's huge ! You should def try the deli at Sprouts. You won't be disappointed and I hope that Eric is there when you go. Of course I needed to try the deli sandwich and glad I did. The lady who made my sandwich should be promoted!! She can make a sandwich for sure!!! I ordered the chicken salad on sourdough bread with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado and sub dressing. It was so good. There was a lot of chicken salad to bread ratio. Everything tasted super fresh and the chicken salad was seasoned very well. The minus one star is because I ordered another sandwich (Turkey and Bacon) and it was made so poorly. Not to mention, it wasn't made like I ordered it so it was returned. All in all, I'd be back for the chicken salad again as it's delicious. read more

Customer Service is a little slow & not so engaging. Download their APP as the digital coupons & sales can offset some of the high price points. Employees are great but the overall direction the company has been heading has made my wife and I stop shopping here. We honestly used to rave about Sprouts to EVERYONE, not anymore. The quality of the produce has taken a turn for the worse and their prices aren't as low, compared to their competitors, as they used to be. The added bag surcharge is annoying even though we bring our own reusable bags. Since inception, this store's layout has been the WORST. WHY WHY WHY did they design this store with carts on the EXIT side of the store?!?! ALWAYS a bottleneck/head-on collision with customers exiting and entering. Aisles can feel a hair narrow too but I'll let this one slide (as it's just the business maximizing square footage). All in all, save your money and goto other competitors for your grocery needs. My wife and I have switched to Natural Grocers, Trader Joe's, and CostCo. read more

It's a Sprouts, so as usual, it's clean and pretty well-stocked. I have all the usual positive things to say about it as I do any Sprouts, EXCEPT -- this location doesn't have a cold deli section, like with the garlic roasted green beans, roasted brussels sprouts, cooked shrimp, etc. that you can get by the pound. They had a few -- and I mean a few -- items out prepackaged, but all in massive quantities. I don't want 1.5 lbs of green bean salad and there was just that one. There were I think 2 packages of shrimp, and then about 30 of the shredded chicken, and that's it. The Tempe location on Southern has a cold deli area where you can get cooked skewers, different salads, cooked shrimp, etc. It also has a larger beer and wine section and a lot more selection of the grab and go deli items. read more

I love this Sprouts location on Ray Road in Ahwatukee so much! I come in often for the fantastic lemon citrus salmon and the fiery orange salmon from the meat case, as well as the delicious bakery items, bulk food selection, produce and supplements....plus whatever else catches my eye during my shopping trip. Anna the manager is super friendly and helpful and great at answering questions, and Ellen was also very friendly at checkout. The meat dept. employees are also always lovely. read more

Love this grocery store over the big chains like Fry's and Safeway. The focus is on healthy, fresh food for an affordable price. Netflix food documentaries have turned me off to the fake food selling big chain grocery stores. I trust that what I buy here is made without bad ingredients that's not supposed to be in our food. My only complaint is that I've had some not so great customer service at the deli counter. Update as of 9/27/19: Deli counter service is getting better, but most times it is still difficult to get someone's attention. Also, Cameron is me and my husband's favorite cashier. Anyways, convenient locale....plenty of parking and shopping, friendly staff and lotta goodies. Produce is fairly inexpensive as well. Oh yeah and always great local foods and items. My only chief complaint is that there are no seats/eating area to enjoy the foods- if you want to sit-eat-& peeps watch. Other than that, I'm hear usually about 3-4X a week. I only go to this place as a CONVENIENCE. And even then they don't make it convenient. You would think with their high prices they would be able to man at least two cash registers but nope! Almost every single customer goes through the self check out lines because they never have more than one person working the registers. And you have to PAY for the bags. I love sprouts in general, especially for produce. This location is frequently out of items on the dry shelves. Wine is exaggeratedly overpriced so that the sign can say you'd save $15 today on this bottle, yeah right. Cashiers have a real issue with baskets.....some want you to leave it on the conveyor belt with your stuff inside, some want you to take all of your stuff out and hand them the basket, some want you to place the basket underneath..... trick is you have to be a mind-reader and guess exactly which one they prefer or you are going to get a Snappy comment. My favorite grocery store in the Valley. It's not quite While Foods but far from an average grocer. I find the produce selection to be some of the best priced year-round. You can grab a hot sandwich from the deli or a cold pressed juice and a lot of times I do both! Service is always helpful and I feel they are never short staffed. I adore the yogurt selection and you could easily find any single type, flavor or region in the refrigerated section. The bulk selection too is a must-try! I always stock up on the gummy bears and spicy trail mix. Just don't forget to write down the SKU# to save yourself any trouble. read more

I shop at Sprouts regularly. I am a very good customer. I shop there 2-4 times a week. I have their app and am signed up for text messages from them. I received a text on Friday alerting me to the fact that they have 25% off purchases from the bulk bins on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So, I pick up some of the items I use regularly and head to the register with my selections. I show the cashier my text message in order to get the discount and she says, "You have to be registered." I assure her I am and then proceed to pull up the Sprouts app I have on my phone. She says you have to sign in to the app to get the barcode for the discount. I thought I was signed in automatically when I open the app but evidently not. Now, I don't recall the password I created when I registered and so can't sign in. She gets a front end supervisor to come over to approve the discount and the supervisor says, "Sorry. If you can't show us the barcode, you can't have the discount." I told them I didn't want it then and then the cashier proceeded to throw it in the trash right in front of me. She said they aren't allowed to return it to the bins for health reasons. So, instead of selling the items to me at a 25% discount, they threw them in the trash! SMH...Unbelievable. Posting this here with the hope someone from management who has a brain will correct this very flawed business practice. read more

My wife and I love going to the deli and ordering the sandwiches, today we got terrible service. I had gone in today 02MAY2023 and ordered two $9.00 sandwiches, with specific ingredients pertaining to each sandwich. The mistake with our order was a condiment confusion, we had asked for mayonnaise in one and mustard in the other. The lady at deli today had put mustard in both. By time I got home I had realized the mistake, so I called sprouts to see if I could get assistance with this mistake that wasn't a big deal, to no surprise no one ever answers the phone at sprouts, so we decided to go all the back to sprouts to handle this ourselves. We get back to the deli and the same lady who made our sandwiches 20 minutes prior was still there, I told her the mistake and to please RE-MAKE the sandwich. It took a few minutes which was odd because to make that whole new sandwich should've taken a bit more time. So we took the sandwich back home. Halfway through the sandwich my wife noticed a little yellow in the sandwich still, she opened it up and examined the inside. We had found that that lazy ass girl with the faded ass green/blue-ish hair had just swapped the bread pieces and put mayo on that LEAVING THE MUSTARD in the other parts of the sandwich. After we had specifically asked her to RE-MAKE the sandwich, not swap the bread pieces. Thank god my wife isn't allergic to mustard because we would have caused a riot in sprouts. She's lucky I didn't pay attention to her name tag other wise I'd be name blasting her so everyone can avoid her from potentially poisoning their food from pure laziness. I paid $9.00 for that damn sandwich, at that price I expect it to be made right the first time or re-made under these circumstances. read more

I like the variety and healthier foods that you can get at this store. Simple parking and overall a good shopping experience EXCEPT for the cashiers. I usually take the plastic hand baskets. Set one of those on the cashiers conveyor belt and wait for the eye roll. Is there some understood rule about having to empty the hand cart for the cashiers? The laziness adds a step and time. Makes no sense to me. The reason your lines are so slow is that your cashiers aren't interested in productivity or service. No worries. I'll add another touch and do it myself. The newest grocery store to add to a long list of options in Ahwatukee. Why would you visit Sprouts? The fruits and veggies are better priced then anyone around hands down, their a LOCALLY owned business and it's a great option if your not a fan of the oversized grocery stores. They have all the healthier options that we need these days and very few of the overly processed foods we should avoid. The other day I was at a competitor and couldn't find a single low fat plain greek yogurt although they had 1500 options of Yoplait. I love that although there are fewer options at Sprouts, they have what I'm looking for. More doesn't always mean better. This new store has all the bins you could need, a great coffee selection with free samples of the daily brew and some inexpensive yummy baked goods. Sprouts has been my one of my primary grocery stores for years because of their fresh produce selections. Everything is inexpensive (compared to Safeway, Fry's & Bashas) but sometimes you pay for that for the quality you get. I have had some bad luck with this location since moving to the area. Double check the produce and don't be afraid to dig. The good stuff is always in the back or more toward the middle/bottom of the bins. I am not a fan of the deli counter at all! The woman who was working the last time I got turkey was so rude for no reason. My meat also was rancid 3 days after I bought it (6 days before the sell by date) with a sour smell and slimy texture. Yuck!! I like the cheese selection, olive/anti pasto bar, and the coffee selection at this store. They are really lacking in the bulk granola :( read more

I was so excited when I saw that a Sprouts was opening right down the street. So of course my boyfriend and I went to the grand opening! It was basically chaos in there but it was clean, well organized and lots of staff were on hand to help everyone find exactly what they needed! We ended up buying some sushi, bulk granola and some other odds and ends. The granola was seriously wonderful. The only downfall is all of the screaming children, and the children not being controlled by their parents, ick it made me anxious. When we checked out there was seriously like 20+ people in each line but they had, "line bouncers", to make sure people weren't cutting or anything and they efficiently got us through the line quickly!
