The store is well laid out for being on the smaller side. And prices are reasonable for the quality. I enjoy walking around the store to see a variety of fresh fruits, find tasty bulk items. This amazing grocery store is absolutely one of my favorite places to shop for fresh groceries. Everything is reasonably priced and well laid out. Everyone who works there is helpful and friendly. They have a very liberal return policy as well. The managers are really supportive and interested in making you feel appreciated. Michelle Tarango is one of the best employees as well as Jesusita. We enjoy going because these two women make the experience easy & pleasant! They have both stopped what they are doing to help me and my husband find specific items. My experience with Sprouts is via delivery by Instacart. I order mostly organic produce, bulk foods, grains, and pasture raised poultry. I am a long time customer of this store. I have never had any hiccups at this store nor have I ever received bad service. The team members are always so friendly and jump at the opportunity to offer samples of new products. I love the variety of fresh seasonal produce. I always seem to find a piece of fruit or a vegetable I've never seen before! Yes, the prices are a little high, but prices are high at every grocery store thanks to the current state of our economy. Today I kept my head down and exchanged no words with the cashire not a hello or did you find what you came for or at the very least a thanks have a nice day. Instead there was the palatable stench of veiled hostility from the cashier and this is by far not the first time this person has made the extra effort to be unreasonably unpleasant to me. This person thinks nothing of glancing over at me and then staring a legnthly conversation with the patron ahead of me in line and give me stink eye and abundant negative attitude every darn time I check out in the lane this person is working at while paying for my food. My post is to alert anyone with Chemical Intolerance to avoid shopping in this store. Our last visit to the store, I could actually detect chemical fragrance from the parking lot. I have no idea what product they are using, likely for cleaning floors and surfaces, there are VOC's being released. I just cleaned a yogurt container that I purchased from the store, and the chemical fragrance coming off it was strong! Chemical fragrance is petroleum based, and this store should not be using cleaning products that contain them. Plus, being petroleum based and emitting VOC's, this will stick to everything in the store, including produce. We purchase organic but in purchasing produce from Sprouts that means we are ingesting chemicals due to cross contamination of some sort. read more

Today 12/28/23 around 5:45pm I witnessed a curly-haired cashier berating a customer in self-checkout to the point of tears. The customer must have said to someone behind them in line that the only checkout line with a cashier was closed, as the conveyer belt had a big "closed" sign at the end. I assumed the same, why I was also in self-checkout. The cashier overheard and then SCREAMS at this poor girl "IM STILL OPEN, BUT IM CLEARLY TRYING TO CLOSE AND GET OUT OF HERE!" She was saying more stuff and literally shaking her fists at this customer, who just froze up and started crying, avoided eye contact and just tried to checkout her own items at self-checkout. I'm trying not to pay attention, but the cashier is still going on and on about it and then goes up to the crying customer (who is still trembling and just trying to leave) and weirdly tries to give her a coupon. I don't know if she apologized or not, but whatever she said made this poor customer just cry harder and leave quickly. I took a while to contemplate saying anything, but how that customer was treated over a misunderstanding about a closed register was just gross. That cashier shouldn't work with people if they treat others like garbage. read more

I still remember the good old days. This grocery store used to be called Sun Flower back in the day. An unfortunate and factual situation happened so they felt it necessary to change the stores name to Sprouts, (a rebranding). Still it was fine. They'd have cute "silly Prices" stickers on the sale items. Like many businesses, the covid scamdemic apparently ruined this place. The prices are a complete rip off. The employees seem disgruntled. The last time I went, I ended up walking out without buying anything. The prices are much higher, the portions and quality are much lesser. read more

Came here 3x during 2 day period (what can I say, I'm a Sprouts fan!) and like any grocery store on the weekend...it's going to be busy. Much appreciated because most Sprouts locations are packed with people wanting to make the best of great products at a good value. Wanted 2 organic red onions. I was forced to buy a 2lb bag for $5.00 plus tax. I checked with one of the short, chubby, male produce associates who told me they don't carry loose red onions at all. He was rude, which has been my typical experience when my attitudes always been kind and courteous. There were no organic bananas and the ones with chemicals were .59/lb. The Sprouts personnel on Zafarano needs to train with the very hospitable St Francis / Cordova teams who are always well stocked and friendly. My son and I stopped in this afternoon, we grabbed just a few things for a picnic after working in the yard all day. We grabbed sushi and the man behind the counter proceeded to follow us around the store and stand there the entire time we checked out and i'm not really sure why. We are new to the area and im pretty heavily tattoed so im not sure if that was the prompt to follow us and make us extremely uncomfortable. This Sprouts is totally awesome!!! The first thing I saw when I walked in was a huge display of sacks of chili peppers. Whether it be Hatch brand or other quality brand of green chili peppers, I love them, so far this year I've purchased 7 cases of Hatch peppers, I roasted them, then freeze - ready to use for my catering business and personal use. Today I purchased hatch chili beef jerky, hatch green chili sausage sticks and other road trip goodies. They have a wonderful liquor department, wine, beer and hard liquor. The saving grace for the entire store is Ken the cashire, Wendy, and the people behind the deli counter who make me sandwiches. The bread and vegies are fresh. The meat and cheeses are good quality. The people get it right most of the time and when it was not what I asked for I did not notice before starting the second 1/2. Roast beef turkey swiss cheese on marble rye makes for a killer lunch. The portions are generous and it is reasonably priced at around $6. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! The store seems to have a problem keeping the shelves stocked. It has become hit and miss there most of the time. Stuff like whole chickens, turkey meat on the bone, butter, yoghurt, 1/2&1/2, corn chips to name a few MIA items that prompts me leave the store empty handed. Then sit in the parking lot and place an oreder @ Whole Foods for curbside pick-up --- Excellent service, excellent quality, expensive but fair prices. Sprouts has managed to greenwash a grocery store almost effectively. Encourages the company to walk the talk, we are not fooled. Masks for all in the store is prudent and not happening there. Today, I stopped in for a few things. Among them were three six-packs of non-alcoholic beer. The cashier asked for my ID. I am 81 - silver hair, wrinkled neck. They clearly need to hire cashiers who have better eyesight. New Mexico law says they CAN ask for ID. It does not say they MUST. I complained to the head cashier. She told me she has been working at that Sprouts for five years. Then she lied telling me that, in that time, they checked everyone. I told her that I have been shopping at that store for 11 years (before they were Sprouts) and had never been checked - not once. That insult is going to cost Sprouts some of my money. I won't be purchasing my beer there again. Today I paid almost $25. At maybe 20 times a year, Sprouts is going to lose at least $500. The jury is still out on whether I'll buy anything at that store again. read more

I am not impressed so far with the delivery option. I placed an order today for the first time for an elderly relative (I am out of state, they are in Santa Fe). The order was supposed to be delivered by 7:05. Then I notice that the shopper hadn't even started yet at that time. Then the time was adjusted to 8, but 8 came and went, too. Then it showed up as a delivery time of 10 p.m. which is entirely too late for this elderly person to be up and waiting for an order that was supposed to arrive 3 hours ago. Really not impressed, and there was zero communication on the Sprouts end, I just saw the change in times because I was going back to the website to check on the order status. So now I have rescheduled this order for tomorrow but my gut is telling me to just cancel it at this point. We ordered our holiday food platters online and found it easy and cost effect. We picked up our order a couple of hours before our holiday open house. We planned on having 22 people, although about 30 came to our event, there was more than enough to go around. Our party trays were artfully arranged and generous, fruit was fresh and nicely arranged. Sprouts seems to have found a way to force people to use self checkout: put the newest, untrained/poorly trained cashier on the only open checkout line. Then put a lady first in line buying probably $200 worth of groceries mostly produce. Did I mention that aforementioned cashier didn't seem to know any lookup numbers for product. Then when the line backs up to about 30 people bring on a second cashier. Could things be any slower? Yes! The person in front of me didn't think bagging the groceries was his job and neither did the cashier. Finally this person got the message and started throwing groceries in his cart. Literally! What a fun way to spend my Sunday morning. I admit it's partially my fault. I refuse to use self checkout. Why? I like to think it's my way to help the economy. Keep people employed. Besides I enjoy chatting with the cashier. Except this newbie who only commented on the fact that he didn't know why Apple Pay wasn't working. Oh! The one person who seemed to know what she was doing kept busy sanitizing the self checkout equipment versus stepping in to help this guy and keeping customers happy. Certain individuals with medical conditions and disabilities that prevent them from wearing a mask should not be told to leave the store or that they can't come in. Under the ADA they have every right to go in and shop if they choose. Adhering to orders (that are not the law) is against constitutional rights. Still awful. I was in the neighborhood and stopped in to get ingredients for a simple meal. Both the produce section and shelves were woefully understocked. More, this store regularly stocks FAR FEWER items than the DeVargas location. And where the shelves actually had some product, employees have put expired food, dented cans and crushed items out in front, instead of removing them. Nevermind that sugar-containing products all over the store we're marked "KETO!" How is it that there is such a night and day difference between shopping in this location and the DeVargas store? Is the Southside somehow less deserving of competent service, unspoiled food, and a fully stocked store? Time for a new store manager. read more
