I was stopped at the stoplight near this daycare and could clearly hear an adult yelling at the…read morechildren all the way from the street. My own children don't attend here, but hearing the way the kids were being spoken to was upsetting enough that I felt compelled to yell out my window for them to stop. Daycare staff have difficult jobs, but young children deserve patience, kindness, and respectful guidance. I sincerely hope this was an isolated incident, because no child should be made to feel scared or ashamed by the adults responsible for caring for them. EDIT!! 06/12/26 i ended up calling the school as soon as this happened to inform them of what was going on outside, the director ended up calling me back and saying they are going to be reviewing cameras and making this right and just very reassuring making my 1 star review a better one. staff do seem to care.

Absolutely horrible and extremely incompetent daycare. I would not recommend Sugar & Spice to my…read moreworst enemy!! We put our 2 year old on a wait list, and months later a spot finally opened up for him. This was his first time ever at any daycare, and he had a really rough start. Instead of any of the teachers working with him, they would literally call me every other day asking me to come pick him up. The lady repeatedly said they didn't have enough staff to watch him and the other children. WHAT?? I'm paying $170 every week just to come pick him up after a few hours because you don't have enough staff? So why would they say there was a spot available for him in the first place? So after 2 weeks of this I start looking for another daycare, but lo and behold the office lady called me in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon 3 weeks after my son started and said that today would be his last day, he is taking longer than normal to adjust and they just don't have the staff to deal with it. IN THE MIDDLE OF A WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. Thank God I work from home so we weren't completely screwed, but how unprofessional can you get? Do not, I repeat do not bring your babies to this place!! My son is a very happy natured boy, but every time I pulled in to drop him off he started screaming bloody murder. He absolutely hated it here. Not to mention this whole daycare is just absolute chaos, there is crap everywhere which has to be a fire hazard. And literally anyone off the street could walk into this building and do whatever they want, it is very unsafe for children. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

I can't speak to nor understand any negative review for this facility. NB Academy has been so…read morewonderful to our child. Our little one has loved and become attached to every teacher we have had so far. Our LO can now identify numbers, letters and many shapes I myself don't even know. On our days off they beg to go back. I will forever be grateful for the care and compassion these ladies have given to all the children in their care. They are professional, informative and show such great compassion. We adore this place. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thank you NB Academy for all you do.

First off let me start this review off with the fact that i was an employee here, everything that i…read morewrite is from a infant teachers POV after working here. So lets begin with, do not expect your child to be givin there medical treatments or medicine even if its docotor required and a note is given stating they need to be given, because the managment team WILL NOT GIVE IT!!!! You can call for a restroom break for hours and they'll laugh and say ''we didn't hear you'', you can ask for time off due to family deaths or emergences and they will run their mouth about you behind your back, the changing table in the infant room doesn't have any safety straps on it, one of the bottle warmers is broken, I asked numerous times for my pay stub info while employed and never got it , then had to fight tooth to nail to get it after i quit, finally got it and was promised my clock in and clock out sheets by the owner Paul and still have yet to get them, the infant room wreaks of urine, employees working in there have asked for new cribs and none were given, the only benefit of working here is the children and the other workers i had gotten to work with and make friends with, management is horrible and so is the ownership of this place.

Let me be the first to reality check this ridiculous place. The parents should be aware that not…read moreonly is it soon to be sold, but the turnover that "all daycares experience" and "training new teachers" seems to happen nearly on a monthly basis here. I won't name names (the owners know who they are), It's like any other failing company: It begins from the top down. Take a good hard look beyond the facade and a couple positive reviews on this platform. Do you really trust three or four reviews in several years for your child anyway? You may like what you see on the surface but likely because there is a significant lack of decent programs in this area. Older children may not be as affected but the 1-3 age group is undeniably neglected. The "owner" who seems to carry this flag in some altruistic manner is not only rude, but a complete flop. Never present in almost a year we have only met upper management twice. If there was ever an issue to discuss, good luck addressing it. Yes. These facilities are for sale and probably will be sold to a different management group for the same reason they couldn't keep staff there. We quickly began to feel uncomfortable leaving our child here. I care VERY little of a company's "difficulties", especially if it is to keep staff employed. Staffing isn't staffing when it comes to the well being of your child. To them this means employees. To you this means leaving your child with a stranger. If this is in the 1-3 age group who can't speak for themselves I take this very seriously. A stranger to you, and a stranger to your child. This happened all too often. Most of the permanent teachers are decent, who just so happened to call in sick more often than not. Likely because of a lack of resources and poor management. Personally, I don't give a ---- about excuses, Especially when it comes to my children. At this age group, when I leave my child in the care of someone else, I expect them to be taken care of by the same people each and every day, or at least individuals they know so that they (and we) feel safe and comfortable. This is why we're no longer there. It is your child that stays here, not you. We experienced teachers (subs) who not only left us feeling uncomfortable, but were downright reportable. Never under any circumstances should a day care operate in the manner that they have. Particularly worse than that, the management staff (if you can find them) is not capable of managing this. If any staff remains by the time they finish treating everyone like garbage, your child won't see yet another stranger. As a customer you are a number and god willing you will get help that you may seek with the buyout. Good luck to them in the future, though I don't really mean that. If good intentions are what they seek, they wouldn't have neglected their business, especially a business where the well being of our sons and daughters are at stake. A very holier than thou attitude by management and a reason most staff is jumping ship. Customer beware.

It is so hard to leave your baby all day while you head to work, but the teachers in the infant room are so loving to all the babies that it has made it much easier on me. He smiles when he hears them and the other babies and it makes me so happy to know that he is somewhere safe and well cared for all day. They are usually at capacity though, so if you are interested in this daycare, you better get on the list as soon as you find out your pregnant. You won't regret it though. I seriously cannot say enough about how wonderful they are.
