I had a fantastic experience overall. The esthetician was exceptional--knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. The treatment room and the ambiance were absolutely lovely, making for a truly relaxing visit. However, my experience was significantly marred by the front desk staff. The front desk lady was extremely rude and dismissive, and her behavior was downright obnoxious. She refused to take the time to help with my concerns and made me feel unwelcome. It's disheartening because the rest of the visit was so positive, but this behavior has unfortunately soured my perception of the place. It's truly disappointing, and while I appreciated the esthetician and the environment, the poor customer service at the front desk means I won't be returning. A business's success depends on every team member providing excellent service. Sweet little school, obviously up and coming. They have great product and a tight knit team of professionals running the place who seem to genuinely care for their students. I noticed they are adding massage and night classes too. If you come for a service, give them time with their services, remember they are students learning... Overall I like this place. I came to Total Transformation for a European Facial. It was a really nice experience. The esthetician, RJ, was very professional and gentle. He customized the products he used on my skin based off a questionnaire i completed beforehand. I have very sensitive skin and did not have any reactions. Only downside was the atmosphere. It is a school so it is a bit noisy. I would take ear buds for a more relaxing experience. Overall Rj did a great job and i enjoyed my facial. Left my skin feeling refreshed with a healthy glow. NEVER GO TO THIS SCHOOL! I went and it was awful, the girls are mean and the instructors do not care. They pick favorites and if you aren't a favorite, they definitely treat you as such. I recently had a facial done by one of the students. She did an awesome job and was very thorough. I will definitely continue my skin care treatments with this young lady...just not while she is at this poorly managed institite! Facials are supposed to be relaxing, and it was hard to do so when multiple instructors (not sure I would even call these women "instructors"..micro-managing bully women with attitudes is a more suitable title) kept interrupting my session yelling at the student criticizing her every move. I have had plenty of facials at high-end spas before and this student was doing a fabulous job. I thought that these rude"instructors" could have saved their criticism for the end, after I paid and left the building. After all, you don't coach players during a game, you save it for practice! Perhaps these ladies should take some lessons on how to be professional! read more

I came here once before for a regular haircut and considered writing a review... Now I'm back again for color and a conditioning treatment. As a poor college student, I love coming here. It's incredibly affordable and I do love the girl who does my hair. Be ready to spend a while in the chair; my haircut took about two hours with the shampoo and styling included. Although I wouldn't give five stars since they are students who still need some polishing, all in all it was a great experience both times. read more

It kills me to give this horrible place ONE STAR! I know, you get what you pay for but BEWARE...this place is hideous for hair. My daughter went here to get a body wave. I wish I had known it before, I would have paid for her to go to a trained stylist for something like this. I do understand that these are students, everyone knows it's a risk. But...the "instructors" should be more aware of what is going on with advanced treatments. They gave my daughter to a completely inexperienced student to PERM her naturally blond, DYED dark brown, hair and that "instructor" did not consult or check in with the student, not even ONCE...and the girl didn't ask for help either. They LITERALLY melted my daughter's hair.. had to work for 7 hours to save some of it and ended up forced to cut off 11 inches of hair that took almost ten years to grow out. Not an exaggeration, she has unusually thin and slow growing hair. My daughter is devastated, horrified and the instructor was nothing short of negligent. This place might be ok for a cheap mani/pedi, facial or a trim/blow but when it comes to anything more challenging, either demand that the trainers pay attention or go elsewhere. "I'm so sorry," doesn't cut it (pardon the pun) when such drastic mistreatment of someone's hair is at stake. Now, she gets to remember this awful experience every day. It's just NOT worth it. Invest in yourself...or it could (most definitely) be worse. read more

The instructors are not clear about rules, students are often singled out, new rules just pop up daily and you're supposed to know them already, enforce some rules on certain students and not on others, one instructor in particular is verbally abusive and will strong arm you into anything she thinks you need to do, they make you scrape wax off the floor and will treat you like you are the janitorial service so they don't have to pay anyone to do it, I would've left along time ago if I could get a refund for my tuition, the instructors always look frumpy and distasteful (you would never know they're in the cosmetology industry), and the list goes on overall I would NOT go here unless all of the things I just listed are appealing to you. read more

I told my stylist what I wanted and she was very careful to do exactly as I asked.
