What started as a positive and exciting experience took a quick turn for the worse, resulting in some regret and leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth. Let's start with the positives, the new Tucson hybrid I purchased is a nice vehicle. Aleksa in sales and Dakota in financing were excellent to deal with. Both doing everything they could for me and always making themselves available when I had questions. I appreciate your time and support throughout the process. I had shopped around for a couple weeks before landing on this dealership, their pricing is among the best in comparison to their competitors. I was making an out of town purchase so they required me to put a deposit on the vehicle and e-sign the documents before we could proceed. Less than 24hrs after signing the documents they had a pretty significant price reduction on this vehicle model. I noticed the price difference and wasn't picking up the vehicle for a few days so I inquired about the reduced price. Was told that when I came in to pick up the vehicle the general sales manager would discuss it with me and work things out. Upon arriving and bringing up the issue the sales manager, Walid Rahal, came to discuss the matter. After discussing it with his manager he offered very little to resolve the issue and became fairly hostile. Saying if I was not happy with his offer he didn't have to do anything for me since they had my down payment and e-signed documents. Safe to say it was a poor customer experience due to attitude and treatment from management. I will never return to this dealership due to this experience and will take my business to a dealership with a better attitude and customer care. read more

I travelled from British Columbia to purchase a used vehicle from this dealership after finding it online. Before placing a $5,000 deposit and booking my flight, I specifically asked the salesperson if the vehicle had any dents or significant scratches. I explained that I did not want to fly to Alberta and discover damage that had not been disclosed. I was told there were no dents and only a few minor scratches consistent with any used vehicle. The salesperson also provided a walk-around video. At no point during that video was any significant cosmetic damage identified or discussed. When I arrived in Alberta and inspected the vehicle in person, I found approximately 8-10 large scratches, several of which had gone through the paint, as well as a dent above one of the doors. These were not minor imperfections. They were obvious as soon as the vehicle was viewed in person. After I raised my concerns, I was told the damage had only been noticed after the vehicle was rinsed off. Management then asked me to stay until Monday so the damage could be repaired. Because of this, I extended my stay in Edmonton and incurred additional accommodation and transportation costs. On Monday I received a call saying the vehicle was ready. I took an Uber to the dealership only to find that while the dent had been repaired, the scratches had been filled with paint that did not match the vehicle. The repair was clearly visible and, in my opinion, left the vehicle looking worse than before. At that point I had completely lost confidence and trust in the transaction and chose not to proceed with the purchase. I then had to purchase a last-minute flight home. Between flights, accommodations, and transportation, this experience cost me more than $1,500, not including the time I lost. Had the vehicle's condition been accurately disclosed from the beginning, I would never have travelled to Alberta in the first place. My experience as an out-of-province buyer was extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering a vehicle from this dealership obtain detailed photos of every panel and every piece of cosmetic damage before placing a deposit or making travel arrangements. read more

I took my car into dealership for service. Car was in limp mode and a warning came up saying pull over safely. My car has lass than 30k on it and less than a year old and I was told they have no loaners and cannot rent me a car. I have extended warranty but I'm still out of luck. I'm told part will take 8 days but I need to suck it up. Service advisor can't do anything. I took my car back yesterday as I have appointments etc that cannot be missed. At any point it can go back in limp mode. My advise don't buy a Hyundai and don't pay for extended warranty as it is no help. Dealership also not helpful read more

NEVER LET THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE! My 2020 Palisade with 50,000km on it was seen by them for regular service may be 3x before our issues started. All of which other mechanics AND OTHER HYUNDAI DEALERSHIPS said was human error. We had my engine leaking oil from an upper oil pan issue - waited 1 1/2months to get that fixed then a month later (apr) it was making a weird sound so I took it in. My tranny has oil issues and needs a new tranny! They left me without a loaner or rental for a week. My new tranny should have been done twice before they actually "fixed" it. I picked it up, absolutely filthy, a new scratch on my passenger door - i took pictures of it in the unsecured lot when it was being left UNLOCKED! And I drove it for about 10mins MAX before it blew again and left me stranded for almost 3hrs on the side of the highway! I got a call that it was a refurbished tranny they put in and now we need to wait for ANOTHER one! ERIC the Service Manager and CORY the Service advisor lack so much professionalism, courtesy, honesty, and communication. We now have Hyundai Canada involved and Ive tried to reach the General Manager, ALI twice with no call back! They dont care about you, your investment in your vehicle, or your safety. Again, I would never ever trust these crooks to touch my family vehicle again! (So much more to the story but only so many characters allowed. Same theme though - lies and dishonesty) read more

To purchase the 2019 Kia Soul it was agreed between the salesman, manager and myself that a remote starter and winter package of rubberized matts be installed - I specified that a 2way remote was what was to be installed and the salesmen, Morgan Mckay assured that is what it would be after he spoke to his manager Scott Pratt which in the end I confirmed with Scott.. Also, after speaking with finance 3M protection was discussed, it was explained that the hood, fender, bumper and mirrors was included in the 3M package. I asked to confirm, If it would be the bumper and whole hood she confirmed that it would be the whole front end including the bumper and whole hood so I agreed - it cost me more for my final sale but I felt good knowing that I was taking that extra step in protecting my vehicle. Upon my pick up delivery date, I was disappointed for several reasons: 1st - the salesman wasn't there to see the final step in his sale - to do the walkthrough and assure that everything was up to par. JR who I dealt with for the delivery of my vehicle was understanding and pleasant to deal with 2nd. - the remote was installed but it was not what we agreed upon, it was a one-way, they felt since they were throwing that in for free that is what was good enough & 3rd - For the 3M, the mirrors were done however there was NO Bumper protection, the hood and fender there was only a strip not the whole hood that was mentioned which that was what convinced me to do this ( and after getting a quote from a 3M dealer, dealerships are way overpriced) You can kind of say I was perturbed at this point, I felt they did what I asked the team at Spruce Grove Hyundai at the very beginning not to do "say anything just so they could get a sale" Also even though Morgan was a friendly & eager salesman to be part of this sale, I have yet to hear a word from him, even though I requested some information that he said he would look into and get back to me. It was and is suggested that they improve on communication, they follow thru and they need to educate the finance department on what is actually included in any of the packages they offer to upsell so it doesn't cost the customer more in the end. Overall the experience was better than I have had in the past with other dealerships and the team was pleasant but when it was comes to communication and follow thru on what was agreed upon that is where they fall short. In the end, to recommend Spruce Grove Hyundai is 50/50, once you make their sale you the customers are forgotten and if you do make a deal just make sure you get what you agreed upon. read more

No fake run around or games. So refreshing. Then to finance. With a first time buyer they jumped every hurdle thrown at them. Son left with exactly what he wanted at the price agreed. After being disappointed with some.other dealerships and less than honest salesmen, this was the best experience ever. If you are buying a vehicle, and want to be treated fairly, you must see these people. I can not stress enough how these 3 people broke every negative stereotype of car salesmen. Had an awesome experience working with the sales team on purchasing a used truck recently. After taking the truck out for a test drive I made an offer, the team and I went back and forth on price most of the week until we reached an agreement that benefitted all. Then when I came up from Calgary to pick up the vehicle the next week the truck I was driving broke down on the Henday, I called the dealership to inform them - as it was late and I knew they were waiting for me, and the sales rep I was dealing with, Dean, offered to pick me up so we could close the deal that night as I had to get back to Calgary to work the next morning. I could not be happier with the condition of the truck, the service I received and the professionalism of all involved. If I could give them a negative number of stars I would. This dealership totally screwed us over for our extended warranty. We were told we could do our own oil changes when we purchased the vehicle, so we did. Then we had our timing chain break so we were going though our warranty. They said that our warranty is void because we did our own oil changes. They are not covering any of the repair, which is almost $6,000!!! Hyundai said they will not help out either, despite the fact that they told us we could do our own oil changes. I am extremely frustrated. We paid over $4000 for extended warranty and now we have a bill for $6000 for something that should have been covered. No one is willing to step up to the plate and admit they made a mistake. We have purchased 2 vehicles here and will NEVER purchase one here again!! read more

This dealership sold us the extended warranty when we bought our truck in April. They told us at the time that we could do our own oil changes. Then we had a timing chain break and when we tried to claim it under warranty we were told that because we did our own oil changes our warranty was void. Now we are stuck with a $6000 bill on a vehicle we have owned for 4 months. When we called Hyundai about the issue they said there is nothing they would do for us, despite the fact that they tell their customers they can do their own oil changes. We paid over $4000 for the warranty and now we have another $6000 to pay for repairs that should have been covered. We will NEVER purchase a vehicle from this dealership again! read more

Avoid Spruce Grove Hyundai. I'm not able to leave zero stars otherwise thats what it would be. If you're looking for a new or used car, stay away from Spruce Grove Hyundai. Shout out to Sherwood Park VW - you guys are fantastic! I was in the market last weekend for a used car and had a very negative experience at Spruce Grove Hyundai. It started with the sales guy, Casey, trying to introduce himself from across the lot out of normal hearing range. Within four minutes of talking with him he expressed "It's Saturday and it's going to get busy. Are you looking or ready to buy?" I was interested in a particular brand and was comparing three/four models on the lot. Casey was very pushy and aggressively trying to get us inside before we even decided on which model, we wanted to test drive or finish looking over the car. Not wanting to proceed with Casey, I pointed out another potential customer on the lot that could use his assistance. He quickly told me I was his customer and he wouldn't be leaving me. I went on to ask about another staff member that we could work with. Again, he stated "I'm with you." We picked a model that I wanted to test drive. Now he had to rush us into the building for copies of our licenses. I truly understand the policy of taking copies when car shopping, I just don't like being aggressively pushed around. It's not my first or last auto purchase transaction so I understand how it works. I had to tell him to "slow it down as we are not in a rush to sign a deal before we explore all of the facts." He then became very condescending with a lot of attitude that made the entire experience awkward - we should have left at this point. After the test drive, he wanted to review the numbers. I reminded him of a golf ball sized crack on the driver's side windshield which he responded, "I'll have my manager review that with you when you're ready to buy." Sales Manager, Scott, came over to join the discussion. He made it crystal clear if I wanted to purchase the car I would need to pay for a new windshield or take it as is. Scott did offer to provide me with a quote from his parts department. I was completely shocked with the attitude so made the decision to move on as there is always another car elsewhere. Before leaving, Casey scolded me with a raised voice "I TOLD YOU...I DISCLOSED THE CRACKED WINDSHIELD SO IT'S NOT OUR ISSUE...I TOLD YOU...WHY DO YOU HATE DEALERSHIPS SO MUCH...SO YOU DON'T WANT ME TO HOLD IT FOR YOU..." I was absolutely mind blown at his attitude. We went home and got online, found similar cars but way bigger selection at Sherwood Park VW. Sophear (Sales Pro) and Danny (Sales Manager) at Sherwood Park VW are true professionals. Thank you, Gentlemen for helping me buy a car! I bought a 2014 used sonata from them last year. about 60 days of ownership the engine blew. which is a know issue with these cars and the dealership said it just passed the test to look for this suspected issue before they sold it. I wasnt givin a loaner vehicle while the engine was being swapped. I got the car back and before driving away noticed my skid plate was in the trunk. i told them and they quickly put it back on. but still shotty repair alert right there. I drove it off the lot and the transmission wasnt working.So they took the car in again and replaced the transmission with no loaner offered to me again so in total i was out of the use of but still paying for my car for about 3 weeks. In the end the manager did offer me 400 dollars for my troubles. which were alot. The loudmouth salesman there names scott lied to my face on my inittial visit. Run from this place. I purchased a 2015 Altima and the actual cost of a service warranty was misrepresented to me. Within the 30 days the car had a transmission problem that they told me I would have to take to a Nissan dealer to get fixed. They refused to honour the 30 day exchange guarantee. I fail to see how a $6000 job that they "couldn't make right" doesn't fit into the exchange!! I would never recommend this place to anyone and would never deal with them again as I do not trust them at all. read more

First five minutes of sitting down to discuss purchasing a used vehicle the salesperson said "We don't negotiate, we don't take trades!" I thought to myself way to go to start off a sale. Then proceeded to tell me there were other people interested and the car would for sure sell quickly. This was followed by the "there is a 3month warranty on it" until we got to the financing section of the purchase, where after signing documents and a ping on my credit burrow that we were informed that we don't qualify for the 3 month warranty... But we will sell you a 2 year warranty... for $2600. Then after saying no thank you very much, I go to sign the loan form and find out the list price was increased by $3500. I told the finance lady that the list price was $19000 not 22500. She said you were told that the inspection had uncovered some troubles which they repaired that I had to pay above the list price. I told her I was never informed of this. So against my better judgement I said WHATEVER and continued. As I was about to drive away the sales man came out to the car and sat down with a clip board all filled out about what my experience was like. He asked me to sign it. He had given himself and the company top rank on all the questions. I will never ever ever deal with any Go Auto dealer or Spruce Grove Hyundai EVER again. read more
