5/5/2026: Tonight--Cinco De Mayo Dinner Fare=Wild Caught Lobster n' Salmon Tacos!…read more In addition, I HAD to purchase two indoor/outdoor, extra-large, door mats due to CONTRACTORS tracking their funky, dirty boots cruising throughout my humble abode's freshly steamed-cleaned floors.

Ahh Costco, lol. If you know, you know. I always take a deep breath before I come in here…read more So I came in today for three specific items, all of which were small. I also had a rewards check I was planning on using. I didn't really need a cart for what I wanted to buy, but you know how it goes there. You always find something you didnt know you needed. So I actually stuck to my game plan, and got the three small things I needed. I then head to self check out, where I ring up all my items and then try to use my rewards check. An employee comes over and explains to me that I can only use the rewards check in regular check out, and not in self check out. Kind of a pain because this is not stated on the check itself, and the regular lines were much longer. So I get in the check out lane closest to the self check out area. Just my luck, I get stuck behind the only Costco customer in a decade that decided to pay for all his crap with cash. So I wait... When its finally my turn, I place my three items on the belt, and keep the cart on my side. When its my turn, this rude little employee with gauges in her ears and a profoundly terrible tattoo on her chest informs me that the cart needs to go on their side. Why? I have nothing bulky. Makes no sense. She informs me that the pathway between the regular check out lane and the self check out lane is too small, and people can't get by. As such, carts need to remain on their side. Yea, she needs thicker glasses. There was PLENTY of room for someone to get by, even if I keep my cart with me. Plus, this employee had plenty of time to inform me of this before I got to the front. She wasn't even the one doing the checking out. Not sure what her purpose was, actually. She didnt seem to be doing much of anything. Anyway, because of this illogical order, and her lack of observation/communication skills, everyone in line had to back their carts up so I could bring mine around to their side. A little communication and common sense goes a long way. It would have been nice if this employee exhibited either. Do better, Costco!

Thank You!!!! I am, however, surprised at the increased prices in merchandise as well as the inconsistency in basic pricing to begin with. It seems that whomever does the pricing of the DONATIONS coming in is going for top dollar when GoodWill is supposed to be a NOT-FOR-PROFIT. I refuse to contribute to someone's extreme paycheck by buying merch donated to begin with. GREED RULES GOODWILL.

I unfortunately had to be "helped" by the man who was younger taller and skinnier. Not sure what his name was. After asking a couple questions, I could already feel his negative demeanor and complacency for his job. By his conversation and reactions toward me, it was apparent this was not going to be customer service focused but instead it felt like he assumed everybody should know what they are asking or talking about before asking him for help. Throughout all of my conversation with him, he kept giving rolling eye looks and when he would answer questions it would be with quick, non-thorough answers. I bought one piece of a certain baseboard which, came to find out, was to long to fit in my highlander. So I asked if he can just cut it in half. I was answered with a quick "sure". I noticed he was using a mitre saw so I asked if he can cut it at a 45. After he apparently did not want to hear me a couple times he answered with. "We don't do that and we don't really sell to public". I was ok with it as it could have been too much to ask, but then one other worker made a smart remark and said to him that "****, you should install it for him to". My opinion is it would have been good customer service to just say we can't as policy but the "smart" comment didn't need to happen. Either way, most of the reviews are correct about the customer service not being there at all, the talking down to, the "quick" answers. And I can add the rude remarks.

I was more surprised that the guy with the terrible attitude and chip on his shoulder was "Matt", the Manager of the store. I guess it's known throughout the floor finishing community that he's a "little grumpy" sometimes. I guess that's one way of putting it, I would just say Rude is a better description. He won't have to worry about us bothering him again, we won't be back.
