We always make sure to stop by this stand when in OOB. Generous heaps of toppings and a very kind owner. Awesome!

Unknowingly when arriving to Portland, there was a protest that many businesses were closed for so pickings were slim for food.....that being said...SO glad we came across Little Tap House! We got there (three adults) around 4p and sat right down at the bar. I wish I would have taken a photo of how MASSIVE the mussels were. They were also just so delicious. The focaccia bread that came with it?? Let it soak up that juice because yes. Just yes. We also ordered the deviled eggs, fried calamari, clam chowder and some beers. The lemon pepper aioli that came with the calamari was very good. I'd chosen the raspberry sour they just put on tap and that was very good. If I'd gotten the bartender's name, I would absolutely give her a shoutout on here because she was great as well! I'd recommend this place to others!

The Caesar salads were fresh with a light citrusy dressing and barrata with fig appetizer were just what we needed before turning in. Our servicer (another Bar B) was friendly. The indoor dining area was more spacious than first sight and there are several tables on the sidewalk.

I ordered the whole…read morepork egg sandwich (without the egg) and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked pork with great flavor in every bite. I also tried a bite of the biscuits and gravy at the table and they were rich, comforting, and seriously tasty. The drinks were just as impressive. The espresso martini was perfectly balanced, and even the mocktail was refreshing and well made. And our waitress was the sweetest (and honestly the prettiest!). She was so warm and friendly that I'd come back just to chat with her again. Great service, great food, great experience overall. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Portland.

When we finally came during the off season, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity since wait times were shorter. The wait on a Saturday afternoon was about 15-20 minutes. I will say - I had high hopes for Hot Suppa. Between my fiance and I, we ordered the waffle, side of corned beef hash, and the fried green tomatoes eggs benny. The corned beef hash here is excellent - that I do have to acknowledge. I was a bit underwhelmed by the fried green tomatoes though. The tomatoes were just okay, but the excessive hollandaise sauce really just made the whole dish waaay too heavy. It was also just messy. Service was slow & our waitress tended to disappear for long periods of time. Coffee & water refills both took a long time. Parking here is difficult but not impossible. Most spots are only for an hour or so.

Marcy's was part of the latter - I had seen the name float around a while, and since the reviews looked great I thought it would be a good place to have breakfast. That being said, I made plans to check it out. Marcy's is a small corner diner, located just off Congress Street near the Portland Museum of Art. It wasn't crowded when I arrived, and immediately got a seat at the counter. The interior is super casual - more casual than an average diner, but is also very welcoming. I can see this place getting crowded/a wait during peak times as there are only a few tables in addition to the counter. The diner is only open for breakfast and lunch, 5 days per week. The menu has several breakfast staples as well as some more creative dishes they concocted. I didn't want to go off the beaten path, so I focused on their breakfast combos which had a mixture of eggs and carbs. I decided on their Number 6 which contained choice eggs (I got scrambled), has browns, choice of breakfast meat (I got sausage), and choice of flavored pancakes (I got blueberry). The breakfast was delicious - the portions are large and I could tell they use quality ingredients. There isn't much more I can say outside of the fact that this was a solid meal with delicious food - it was really everything you want out of a diner breakfast. Service was also great - everyone was friendly and chill; I could tell they get along well and that they put a lot of love into this place. Overall, Marcy's Diner is a yes - there is nothing flashy here, but I had a delicious meal in a friendly, casual environment. I wouldn't hesitate to return the next time I'm in Portland.
