Typical transitional Chinese food but cheap and good! They even have a drive through which I did the other day. It was so quick and seemed fresh. You can get rice or lo mien with 3 sides for $15 dollars. The lo mien was good, the chicken teriyaki was also good. I would repeat!

Fast delivery, well packaged, our food was hot and good! I know this is going to sound odd but I don't like a lot of veggies and I love that I didn't even have to worry much about that here at China Xpress. The fried rice had no veggies at all, the chow mein also had no veggies, and my orange chicken was good! My husband also enjoyed his meal. He ordered orange chicken and beef. Quick and easy!

It is pretty difficult to serve lousy food but you've won! The chicken fingers were basically heavily breaded and stale while the wontons were also made with a heavy hand. The key is not to destroy the dish with bread. Basically it was almost unedible. I never got the soda I paid for and the delivery guy just doesn't understand directions too well. I know these are difficult times but I wouldn't pay more than 4 bucks for the noodles. You guys better get a chef fast.

I had such high hopes, but equally high concerns about a drive thru chinese place... Setup/style: basically says " we wish we were as good as panda garden..." int has tables and the same buffet line style of food selection. A bowl, plate or large plate plus "family size" options in the $32+ range. Drive thru: SHAMBLES. I am certain the kid at the computer was 12 years old if he was a day. (Illegal age I'm almost positive..) plus the lady had ZERO CLUE how to use a drive thru mic. Soon as got to the window, which is too high for any car NOT a truck, she complains how a) the computers don't work, b )they are "slammed" and "ran out of food so we are making it fresh...that's a good thing!" A line quickly formed and the boy came out to take orders on a sheet of paper cuz the speaker had been abandoned apparently. Also, I did 7 years in food service, i know fresh food is a good thing...thanks. plus, it was 2 hrs after they opened on their FIRST day. How are you OUT of food?? Food: go to panda garden instead. The "fried rice" is just white with frozen veg. The crab rangoon were obviously a frozen item which they fried. The orange chicken was overly sweet rocks. The green beans were basically NOT cooked. Also, the order of kung pao chicken had...almost no chicken!! Why tell us you were making fresh food and then NOT serve it to paying customers?? I may wait a few weeks and give it another shot, but if it is a repeat performance, i wager they won't stay open long...

Typical Chinese take out with a limited menu to service a drive thru clientele. It's heavy, greasy, salty, to go goodness. Perfect for hangovers, Friday cheat days, or satisfying a craving. I went just after opening, so the options were fresh. Think a more local version of Panda Express...

Exactly what you would expect: Quick and easy Americanized Chinese food. Reminded me a lot of the Chinese buffet place that closed over by the Maine Mall. The food was hot and tasted good. Friendly service too. Got the Orange Chicken and Crab Rangoon (3 pcs) with Fried Rice, plus a small side order of Pan Fried Dumplings for just under $18. Downside may be limited menu, really only the "basics" served daily.

    Crab Rangoon, spring rolls...

That's on me, though, because this is an excellent local restaurant run by a great family. And it says something that they have been around for so long and have even survived (And expanded!) through COVID. The front counter area is a bit crowded and busy because the door opens right up into it. It's efficient but it does mean making your selection and order can be a little awkward if there are others waiting. After the counter, though, there's plenty of space inside to sit down and there are even several tables outside along the building. The food was great. Like I said, it had been a while for me, so I decided to keep it simple and go for a few tacos. I will say that $6-$6.50 feels steep for a single taco. However, I have watched and listened to many chefs say that the idea that Mexican food should be quick and cheap is a huuuge misconception. So, while I'm no food expert, I think that's something to consider, and of course I understand that prices these days for raw materials have increased considerably. Ultimately it's certainly not a cost prohibitive level at this point. I had the Pollo con Mole (Chicken with mole sauce), Taco al Pastor (Pork and pineapple), and the Barbacoa (BBQ goat) Tacos. My favorite by far was the goat. I'm a sucker for Tacos al Pastor so that was good, and the chicken with mole was great. I got an extra order of chips because I didn't realize the tacos came with chips. So heads up on that if you want some chips with your meal. One of the things I was most excited about was the Agua Fresca. Basically it's a fruit juice. They make those and horchata (rice milk) in house with rotating flavors. The agua fresca was strawberry when I got it and it was absolutely delicious. I definitely need to keep Taco Trio in mind the next time I'm hungry for some takeout. They should not be missed!

The…read morehomemade corned beef hash is the star of the plate: big chunks of corned beef and potatoes, crispy on the outside, tender inside, and super flavorful without being greasy. You can taste that it's made from scratch, not scooped out of a can. The blueberry pancake is everything you want from a Maine diner--loaded with berries, golden on the edges, and fluffy in the middle. It's one of those pancakes you tell yourself you'll share, then somehow you don't. The fiddlehead omelet is such a fun local twist, with the fiddleheads adding a tender, slightly earthy bite that makes the whole thing feel special and seasonal. Service is friendly and efficient, even when they're slammed, and the whole place has that busy, waterfront, "locals and tourists together" vibe. Expect a wait, especially at prime breakfast hours, but the homemade corned beef hash, blueberry pancake, and fiddlehead omelet make it more than worth it.

We visited around 10 a.m. on a Sunday and had about a 35-minute wait, which wasn't surprising for a busy weekend morning. The prices are on the higher side for a diner. My veggie omelette was $21, and while it was good, the home fries were just average. We also ordered the lobster omelette for $35. Although it's pricey, it came with a generous portion of lobster, which helped justify the cost. One thing to note is that there's also a 3% kitchen fee added to the bill, so keep that in mind.
