Enjoyed so much the first time had to come back again while passing through on a rainy day for some yellow curry! Food and service is amazing and worth the quick stop to enjoy. If you like yours spicy, recommend going to the 5 scale or ask for the container to modify if you would prefer to be cautious. Great feel with low music in the background for conversation and always enjoy a place that is playing a Harry Potter movie on their TV!

Excellent sushi and sashimi. Fresh and flavorful. Miso soup was delicious. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Pleasant upbeat atmosphere. Thanks for a great meal!

Always a great night with friends. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It does have a bit of a coffee shop vibe with the decor, but the food is great. I am not very adventerous with my ordering. The Orange Chicken, Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice are my go to orders.

The food was delicious and had an amazing presentation and came out in a timely fashion! The waitress we had Bailey was really wholesome and kind! We really appreciate the great experience she gave us on my wife's 25th birthday! We will highly recommend this place to all our friends! The place is so cute and gives really romantic vibes! Not what we guessed from the outside! Come support this incredible Thai japensese fusion! Unreal experience!

The Old Port isn't exactly the easiest place to navigate for someone with mobility issues, but fun fact- Keg & Kraken has a handicap parking spot out front! We arrived on a Sunday at noon (opening time) and had the place to ourselves just about the whole time. Our waitress was super sweet. I started with a shrimp tempura roll and fried dumplings. I expected pan fried but theirs are deep fried. Both apps were great! Masaman Curry was my entree. It was so flavorful and filling. My best advice, eat dessert first! I'm not a dessert person but I snagged a bite of my sister's deep fried coconut ice cream and it's the BEST version of fried ice cream I've ever had. We are already talking about getting back for more!

On this #ThankfulThursday, I'd love to give a shout out to Keg and Kraken. I have nothing but positive things to say about this newly opened restaurant located in the heart of Downtown Portland. My partner and I went for dinner and we both left so happy! Dozens (or what felt like hundreds at one point) of Thai classics and other Asian dishes -- including sushi -- filled up their extensive food menu, while the drinks menu provided everything from beers to shareable bowls and tiki drinks. We had the Sugary Mai Tai Bowl and it was delicious. It was indeed sugary, but totally doable if you split it with someone. The spicy Chicken Pad Thai was packed with so many flavors and it definitely had a spicy kick to it. The Massaman Curry was simply amazing -- the rice was cooked to perfection, the chicken was tender, and the different aromas were prevalent. I could go a month just eating those two dishes. We also had crab rangoons (some of the best I've ever had) and tuna rolls with plenty of spicy mayo. A meal for two, with the gigantic drink bowl, one app, two sushi rolls, and two BIG entrees came out to around $100 after 20% gratuity. Service was also great, even though they were quite busy on a Friday night.

With a name like Keg and Kraken you would expect a rowdy bar crowd. This place is a super classy Thai Bistro! We eat with our eyes first and my eyes were amazed! We will make the drive from Bangor again.

Really, really good. Came here at 10PM on a Friday night and they were still serving food! They have a late night kitchen and it smells so damn good. We got scallion pancake, pad Thai, and three types of veg sushi. Also the money bags app and a bigass shared drink. Holy crap. This food is insane. FRESH, crispy when it should be, full of flavor, and absolutely made with love. We had the best service ever (thanks Boom!), and the chef was so kind. Such a beautiful space and welcoming environment. Absolutely amazing. Cannot wait to come back.

Wow what a hidden gems. We stop by for late dinner around 8pm. We spoke to the lady who serve us knowing she's from Thailand so we decided to try all thai. Pad Thai noodles are **chewy** taste so good, sweet and spicy . It has 8 shrimps in the fish. Red curry is yummy, rich coconut curry flavor. My hubby wants udon, it was yummy, udon is chewy cooked perfectly (not too soft). Tempura batter is thin and crispy. Papayas salad has two shrimps on top, lots of papaya sweet and sour with lime juice red pepper I give 4 stars because we didn't try the sushi or any appetizers yet, until next time we will be back for sure.

Just opened this week where benkay used to open. Thai & sushi + yakitori are their main dishes. Ordered crispy duck wonton very creamy and delicious. Spicy pad Thai with tofu, you can adjust the level of the spice that you like. Portion size is huge and tasty Mango sticky rice for dessert. Service is quick and prompt. The lady who served us is very sweet and kind. They are going to have grand opening on 9/9/22

Dumplings best I've had, sushi was exhausting to eat. It was so chewy. Not sure if it was the seaweed or the rice.

Close to more bars for extra drinks, easy to run into other friends. Also, it's a beautiful spot with outdoor seating in the warmer months. We opted to sit outside and enjoyed khao soi, katsu pork sandwich, and the honey soft serve. The portions are generous, as we were able to share and have leftovers. Each plate had so many great textures and flavors. We did experience a long wait between ordering, getting food, and receiving the check. It was a busy summer night so I wasn't upset, but do not plan on having a quick meal here. Get cozy, get an extra drinks and enjoy your time here. Good meal, prices definitely on the high side…read more Vibe: really cohesive, cool, themed decor. Large shared table in the middle flanked by bar seating. Service: Great Food: We started off with soft serve and the seasonal earl gray outshined the house honey. The earl gray had a great flavor topped with an excellent syrup while the honey was mild and the chocolate shell didn't add anything, although the 'honeycomb' bits were delic. Crispy eggplant special - good, very small portion Pork katsu sandwich - pretty solid, interesting pickle Pad mee korat - good, small portion Value: Aside from the soft serve, the portions were very small for ~$17 price point, and the food was good but aside from the earl gray soft serve, didn't amaze to the point of paying a higher price point. Overall I did like this meal but portions were small for prices. I hope they keep the earl gray soft serve around!

Miso soup was delicious and hearty - just what you need on a cold day outside. Both, noodles and fried rice were great. Btw their spice levels are catered to North American taste buds, so if you're an Asian just tell them highest spice levels and you'll probably still feel like moderate. Having said that, great flavours. The staff was nice and friendly. I used the restroom and they were clean and well maintained. Definitely recommended.

It is a tragedy that I was only planning to visit Portland for less than a day, so I didn't have the opportunity to dine in at the Green Elephant. However I would contemplate driving up from Boston just to have their Singapore noodles again. It was so flavorful, and the noodles were cooked to the perfect texture. The level 2 spice in the online ordering menu was not spicy at all, but the food still had a good amount of sauce and flavor. The dish was definitely heavy on the noodles and probably only had 4-5 bite-sized pieces of tofu for protein, but the noodles certainly were my favorite part. And for only about $15-20 per main dish, this is one of the more accessible/affordable restaurants for vegan options in Portland!
