I can't say anything, but goodness about a donut shop! I'm a sucker for donuts always happen. Always will be! This place had a variety of different flavors and the dough they use must be something different because it has a good nice texture when you bite into it. I also got some of their donut holes and it was incredible! Probably the best item I had between the donuts I did buy. But I did buy the maple bar, which is always a staple. And then I did get some other ones I can't remember. But will 100% be going to the spice again as I feel like the service was great and the young lady helping us out was super kind. She was working extra hard as well taken care of multiple customers at the same time and keeping good patients. The atmosphere is also great as it feels kind of like a vintage donut shop as you can see in the photos in my review I took some of the box and some of the tables. We didn't eat there. We did just pick up and go, but next time I wouldn't mind taking a little seat there and grabbing some donuts. read more

And the reason they are a little more dense is that they use mashed potatoes as 1 of the ingredients in the donut. They are sooo good especially the churro one and thee peanut butter chocolate one. I first tried these donuts at a work breakfast, and was able to try several different flavors. The Salted Caramel brought me back (pictured here). The donut is unique, which I love and appreciate more and more as the years pass. It's more dense, but still peels like a layered croissant. The mixture of the slightly salty donut with the sweet topping makes it a dynamic duo, without either flavor becoming too overwhelming. The staff were attentive, polite, and quick, even at 6:30am on a Saturday, when most the city was still asleep. Everything was clean and in order, ready for the day. They have a drive thru but it's a little hard to notice and find imo. Simple and straightforward menu. I got a maple donut (my normal go to) and a spudly cup. The maple itself was very sweet. The donut it thick and has a distinct flavor. I personally liked the donut holes better but overall it just wasn't my favorite. It's not that it's bad, I personally just prefer classic donuts. Staff was nice and friendly. I'd recommend it to others to give it a try but personally wouldn't go back for myself. read more

I had a really disappointing experience at Spudly's Donuts tonight. I walked in close to closing time with my 4-year-old daughter to buy donuts for my family. While waiting in line, I watched the employees give a white customer multiple boxes of donuts for free because they were closing and were going to throw them away anyway. They even asked her if she wanted more and told her to leave them a good review. Right after that, it was my turn. Instead of receiving the same kindness, I was charged full price for everything -- over $28 -- while they tried to upsell me on additional items. The issue is not the money. It's the principle and the way it felt. As a person of color standing there with my little daughter, it was honestly hurtful and embarrassing to watch one customer be treated with generosity and excitement while we were treated completely differently only seconds later. It made me feel profiled and unwelcome. If the donuts were being thrown away anyway, the fair thing would have been to treat customers equally or at least show the same kindness and energy to everyone. Doing something so generous for one person directly in front of another customer and then acting completely different toward them leaves a really bad impression. I'm not someone who normally leaves reviews like this, but this experience genuinely upset me. I believe businesses should treat all customers with the same respect regardless of the color of their skin. Unfortunately, that's not how I felt tonight. read more

Ok, you've got my attention now. We stumbled across this while driving down state street in Lindon and was surprised to see a sign for donuts. When we walked in, the girl welcomed us in and was super friendly. We joked about the shop selling potatoes and was surprised to see there were donuts instead and that's when she told us these were potato donuts! We walked away with 4 donuts to try and they were delicious! The texture was a bit more firm and dense than normal raised donuts - not sure if that was normal or not since we caught them at the end of the night. The flavors were great though! The salted caramel frosting was a perfect balance of sweet and salty - so good! The Boston cream was not too sweet and had a great balance. We also tried the Fall special and the glazed. You can taste the potato if you're looking for it, but otherwise, it's pretty hidden. I wanted to try the potato flake chocolate milk, so I guess I need to go back! Place is inviting and was warmly greeted as soon as I stepped in! Happy to hear the gal helping me is the owner - her grandma was the one who started these donuts . Interesting to know that these donuts are made with some ratio of potatoes but u can't really tell! Especially the chocolate coated ones. I was excited to have a "spudnuts" donut in the area (Lindon).........and it'll be my last. I won't be back to Spudly's. Overpriced donut that isn't very potato based tasting, just general "good" tasting but definitely not exciting, not worth the price. This is one of my favorite spots in all of Utah. The donut holes are truly out of this world. Love the history of the place and the decor reminds you of a retro diner. Great coffee helpful staff.. one of the best little stops you can make if you are in the area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE DONUT HOLES but warning.. you will want more. read more

I was so excited to find a donut place open till 11 pm. We stopped by at 6:30. They only had sugar donuts and nothing else. We also waited awhile for them to come and help but there was a little sign that said in the bathroom, will be back soon. It was a good 10 minutes. People came and left. But to be open till 11 and at 6:30 only literally have 6 donuts left with zero intentions on making more... Seems weird. read more

I have a personal weakness that makes me stop & try donut places. The sign outside said "fresh donuts". I got a maple. The donut was too thick and was pretty dry. Frosting was great but with the price tag at $3.50 I wouldn't go back. Comparing this to the gold standard Banbury it just doesn't stand up with its price and taste.
