You'll never eat a fluffier and lighter bready item than a Clark's Island Donut. Like, it's so soft that you have to hold it as gently as possible to avoid completely squashing it between your fingers and even then, it's impossible to avoid making little indents on the doughnut. Fresh and delicious. I went to the Provo town center location. Their spot is in the food court area. It was about a ten minute wait for our donuts and we went about 6pm. Staff was great. We got 4 donuts (custard, chocolate, coconut and guava). The donut itself was warm and soft, just as a donut should be. LOVED the coconut and custard fillings. Chocolate was a thin chocolate; not thick. And I did not like the guava at all. Personal taste I'm sure. We'd go back again, no doubt! read more

These are so tasty! They do take awhile, I assume because they make them when you order them. I got the raspberry, which the cashier said is their most popular. It tasted like the same raspberry filling at any random donut place but better because it was inside a warm fresh fried donut! I also got a coconut cream which was much more unique. Not overwhelmingly coconutty, smooth warm cream with a little bit of shredded coconut mixed in. My kids both got custard which tasted like lemon? They agree on this. My son got the dulce de leche and said it was really really yummy. I'll admit, I was super jealous watching him eat it. First off, no solo donuts here. Go for the kill and get a six pack or a dozen. Share with your family and friends and try the different flavors...or don't share. These donuts are a MUST whenever I go to the Provo Farmer's Market. I've never had Hawaiian donuts before, but I was very pleasantly surprised after getting them for the first time. They make them fresh and they are super light and fluffy. The first time I went I got the dulce de leche filling, and the second time I got the regular custard filling. I think I preferred the dulce de leche, purely because I love caramel, but they were both delicious. I could easily eat a . dozen of them. My only downside is the price. I feel like it's definitely one of the more expensive donuts I've had, but they are worth it. Will be a staple for Saturday mornings at the farmer's market! read more

It is amazing that they are able to produce the best fresh fluffiest donuts filled to order! This is a little food truck and it's important to pre-order because it goes FAST! I truly believe if you're going to be putting the calories of sugar in your mouth then it better be good! These guys deliver. It's not a 50cent Walmart donut. Costs $2.50 so it's a treat, it's also slightly smaller than average but it's amazing! We ordered custard, coconut, mango, and dulche de leche. The custard and mango were by far our favorites. The fillings were sweet, and had a true mango flavor, fruity, it balanced the fluffy sugary bread. The box was still hot. The coconut I felt could be sweeter or thicker, it seemed to have pieces, but having pani popo in Hawaii this was definitely lacking. The dulche de leche was overly sweet biting into thick gooey Caramel. I liked it just overwhelming to eat a whole donut. I could share that one. I would definitely go back when the craving arises. It's hard to find lilikoi passion drink here. So that was a find! I miss that fruit from Hawaii. The service was excellent especially since it was a hot day. Man, I've shown up two different times - during their posted business hours - only to find them closed. Severely disappointing.

I'm a little torn because these donuts were gorgeous and the filling was yum! However, most of the malasadas in our order were not fully cooked. Towards the center was raw. (See picture). I know there's a lot of factors that may have caused this-- maybe a new employee? I love malasadas and Clark's seems to have glowing reviews. I'll likely visit again and give them another shot. For now though, the batch I got was inedible due to the centers not being cooked so I threw them all out and am giving them 2 stars. Hope to up that in a subsequent review to 5 in the future. read more

These are SO GOOD! I made the mistake of thinking the "Cinnamon Sugar" was filled (I imagined like a cinnamon roll filling). It was still good, but do yourself a favor, and buy the filled ones. I've eaten malasadas in Hawaii. These are the real deal! LIKES: their food truck was in bountiful tonight. I ordered three: coconut, custard, and chocolate. The guy at the counter was super friendly and we talked about the bakery I went to on the big Island to get these once. He charge me less money than he should have and told me it was national donut day even though I think he totally made that up because he's just a nice guy. They came out warm and were a lil crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The flavor was great and I liked that they recorded with sugar around the edges. It was a great experience and I can't wait to order some more in the future. DISLIKES: there was quite a line up so I had a 15 minute wait but that just shows how popular they are becoming. The Provo food truck roundup has been an unmitigated success for my family. We could smell the doughnuts from 100 yards away and went directly to them. We ordered six assorted malasadas. There was a massive line so the wait was torturous but finally they came. Each one was more delicious than the last. We finished it off with a guava. That's the best one! Edited: We live in Utah and Hawaii. And we consider ourselves foodies. These are not quite what you get in Hawaii but they are pretty darn okay and the staff is super nice! Pretty generic filling flavors though. I am editing this review because the owner reached out to me after my last review.. Because my family and I travel between Utah and Oahu we are able to sample a wide variety of authentic malasadas. Like many of our North Shore friends. When I pointed out some changes to their menu items (beyond their straight up malasadas) that were very similar to an existing company in Hawaii, the owner replied in an incredibly defensive manner. Not really an explanation. That was a bummer for sure. Now I don't wanna be accused of making a shameless plug for this other company so I won't name them but I will say I'm excited they are coming to SLC this fall because they are going to make it so we can get some yummy stuff up north in SLC and at Clark's in Utah County. Heavenly malasadas. Or as I call it, a filled donut. These freshly fried and filled donuts have changed my perception of what a great donut should be. The dough is dense (not a cake donut but a denser fry-bread like dough). It is rolled in sugar and filled with your choice of vanilla custard or dobash (chocolate custard). You can also get it without filling but where's the fun in that?
