Tried Onoh's Malasadas on our Utah trip and honestly we were going in pretty blind since we're from California and just relying on Yelp. We just wanted a quick dessert that wouldn't feel too heavy and this ended up being a solid pick. We got three white sugar malasadas with different filings: haupia (Hawaiian coconut pudding), Bavarian cream, and mango. There were probably like eight different filling options plus seasonal flavors and also other sugar topping options like powdered, white, and plain. Shoutout to the workers who helped us decide on some of the flavors. All of the fillings we tried were "not too sweet" which is exactly what we like. The haupia was our favorite! The Bavarian cream had good flavor but seemed a little light on filling, it sure if it was just thicker and didn't spread as much or there was just less filling. The mango was more like a puree so it was a bit runny. The malasadas tasted fresh even if they weren't fresh out of the fryer piping hot. The space was bright and clean with a happy vibe. They also offer savory items like burgers and sandwiches on malasada buns but we didn't try those. Overall, it hit what we were looking for. If we're ever back in the area and want something sweet, we'd come back and would recommend it. read more

Was in town and decided to try this place out. Very spacious interior with bright colors. Lots of seating and friendly staff. My family got the haupia, Bavarian creme, and mango. Went for the free malasada on National Donut Day they were giving out. Ended up also getting a Kalua pork sandwich. WOW! Nicely cooked kalua pork, slaw, and a slice of grilled pineapple on a malasada bun. Superb! I should've also had the fries. Everyone's looked so good. They are beer battered. I had the hash browns, which was like a hash brown cake you get at McDonald's. But it was cooked perfectly and I enjoyed it. My son had the Kalua Burger and it looked good. He was it was excellent. Great vibe in the store, fun and energetic. Order takers were friendly and happy. I hope they expand up north. It's great food. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. I've had their sweet malasadas before and have been really interested in trying their sandwiches/burgers, so we finally decided to give it a try for dinner. We went through the drive-thru, and it did take a bit for our food to come out, but we were in no rush and they did apologize for the wait. We ordered the BBQ sandwich, BBQ bacon burger, and a side of fries. Everything was honestly really good! They use the same dough from the sweet malasadas for the buns, so it gave them almost a sweet buttery taste. Paired with the BBQ, it was really tasty. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They came with their spicy Onoh sauce, which was good, but honestly the fries were good just on their own. I had a deal for buy any coffee drink and get a malasada free so I swung by the drive thru for my first time to Onoh's. The Nutella latte sounded good but I ordered it half sweet and kind of regretted it because it didn't taste much like Nutella. Still the flavor of latte and espresso was really good to me. The donut freebie was any plain sugared one, but I added some guava drizzle and it was delish. If I had more of a sweet tooth that day I would have added the coconut filling. I for sure want to come back and get it all. The staff at the window was friendly and polite. Ambiance of the drive thru at least was good vibes! This storefront has been open for two months. I'm part- Portuguese and from Hawaii and have had many a malassadas... good ones, bad ones, and filled-ones. I was visiting the area for the first time and this felt like a challenge all by itself. Leonard's Bakery malassadas are really soft with a lot of air pockets . There are also heavier more donut like malassadas. These are fluffy and in between. They also sell ice cream " sandwiches" and breakfast and lunch type " sandwiches" using the malassadas. It was nice walking into an establishment and there was Hawaiian music playing. We were able to sample our goodies while looking at the snow-capped mountains outside. PLUS: There's also a drive through for those very decisive people; if you can't make up your mind, park and order on the inside! read more

I was excited to try this place out, especially with a Monte Cristo on the menu. The restaurant is bright and modern. I ordered the Onoh's Cristo and a peach malasada. The sandwich was quite sweet A little too much so. The ham, cheese, and raspberry jam, on their own, tasted pretty good and of high quality. Here's the painful part where I think they went wrong. The sandwich is smashed and cooked in a panini press. It smashed what I assume was a light donut-like bun into a dense oily bread. The sandwich was then the same texture throughout. Probably wouldn't go back. I ended up not being able to eat the peach malasada. Gave it to the coworker. read more

The burger was good and well balanced, but the pork was overly salty - not sure if that's normally how it is or if we got a bad batch. Not the end of the world, but probably won't be getting that one again. The malasadas were made earlier that evening and were filled once we ordered. Definitely gives a nostalgic taste to the malasadas of Hawaii and it was fun but not sure it can be replicated to the island life. We had three different ones and a sandwich. The sandwich was good and had some fun unique flavors. I would say the malasada as an ice cream sandwich was the real winner. The sweet cream cheese was not sweet enough in our opinion. Onoh's Malasadas are definitely a fantastic treat on a cold day. Warm fresh made donuts warm the body and soul. I was meeting up with some friends in the area and decided to stop in to eat. In addition to the malasada's they have sandwiches and burgers. I thought the burger was ok, but you can tell their focus is the malasadas. I was really happy with the fries as well, breaded style and super crunchy with a great sauce. The restaurant itself is clean and simple, the design is for quick service, and fitting large groups can be a challenge if they are busy. The staff was friendly, and kicked out orders pretty quickly. These Malasadas were so good. We went for dessert in the evening. I had a big party (6 people), and we all got to order exactly what we wanted from the sugar to the filling and drizzle. Saw this on social media feed and decided to give it a try. The place is new so clean and bright. The staff were friendly and efficient. Now the food. It was below par. Had the hamburger and the wife had the bbq pork. They are nothing to write home about. Just a frozen patty on a toasted bun. The bbq was tasty but the sauce was runny and more of pad drippings than sauce. The bright spot is the Malasada donuts were good but just good. I would not drive out for them. read more

This bakery is a must visit in Pleasant Grove! My favorite nephew surprised me today with a haupia filled malasada that included a small container of a delicious guava puree that I immediately smothered on the top! It was a taste explosion the tart guava, the sweet thick coconut custard that filled the sugary coated malasada was divine. It left me wanting more. read more

This is a really good spot! I love the variety of the menu yet how cohesive it all is being malasada based. There's a combination of sweet treats, juices, sodas, coffee drinks, breakfast, sandwiches, and burgers. The menus look great, they are super organized and easy to read and include pictures which helps me make decisions lol. and I love the wallpaper! Food was delicious. Okay I've been here 2 times now. The first time the wait was long but the malasada's were really good. I went back today and was reminded that it is very expensive, but I still tried one of the breakfast sandwiches. It was just about $8.00 (no meat, no hash browns and no drink)...eeeek. The cashier was nice, but I felt an awkwardness when he watched us while we looked up at the menu, felt a bit rushed. The sandwich was okay, and then I found a hair!
