We decided Vino Yay was our favorite and we will buy a bottle next time we are in town. My boyfriend also tried the wine slushee in tropical flavor and loved it. I thought it was too sweet, but many people were coming in to order it! The second visit we had another flight of 4, this time we tried the sweeter wines, which was a little unsuccessful for us because we don't like sweet wines as much but had to give it a try. We also had the charcuterie board which was really good. Had a nice large load of salted bread, along with fresh cheese curds, salamis, meats and olives. A perfect little snack for two. In the back you can sit out and look at the small vineyard. It's really beautiful on a nice sunny day.

It was culminated by the owner himself giving a small speech of his roots and transition of coming to America. We had a blast! Definitely would come back if in area. Bought a few nice wines and whiskey before leaving. They have this band and get togethers throughout the year. The whiskey I purchased was made specifically for the 250th birthday of America. At $120 a bottle; $100 goes to veterans. The blend is a mix of red, white and blue corn in the amount of percent of the colors of the flag! The grain blends consists of three colors of corn, red (41.5%), white (40.9%) and blue (17.6%) mixed to match the percentage of colors on the American flag. Aged 6 years in new charred Wisconsin oak barrels! Stop here if you can!

Cocktails / wine before, hors d'oeuvres, four course dinner with paired wine each round. Chef Romain and the knowledgeable servers were attentive, ensuring everyone's enjoyable time. They made for a sensational setting and experience. Their intent is to do this monthly or every two months. We are certainly looking forward to the next event, and will be visiting sooner to replenish our own bar!

I had a glas of Eclipse which tasted delightful, similar to grocery store wine at this price. Do yourself a favor and skip this one for now! There are much better wineries available in Iowa. It appears ownership is trying to safe everywhere! Noteworthy: It's 3/4 mile gravel to the property. To no fault of their own, the gnats & bees were out swarming outside, so seating outside diverted us inside. But when we moved to inside we got to enjoy a larger bundle of unruly kids in a small room.

But here's the best thing we were able to transform the barn interior to our celebration and the cost was $300.00 + purchase 4 cases of wine! Compared to other Madison venues this was a deal. And with an open beer and wine bar we had no problem meeting the minimum case requirement. The Botham family are very accommodating and gracious hosts. Actually come to us to fill our glasses while we dance and enjoy the great weather for 4 hours. Are event started at 4pm and we left about 8pm. I'd do it again! Great wine also.

A better choice than what's available in the store.
