My iPhone 6plus screen cracked while hiking. I had a day left on my trip in Spokane before returning home to New York so I reached out to iCracked based on the glowing user reviews. I received a text from George who said "I am sorry, I don't have those screens in stock, the repair is $375, most of that being part cost." In fairness he suggested I wait until I return to NYC but I wanted to place a review because: 1) the screen replacement costs $20 wholesale 2) the Apple Store is $129 to replace the screen 3) even in NYC, the most expensive places were charging $200 (although apple in NYC is also $129) 4) a DIY repair kit costs $150... I get it, they charge more because they come to you, however the part is $20 (nowhere close to $375) and it behooves them to have items for the latest phones in stock. Also, where is George getting this $375 price tag from if "most of that being part cost"??? I went to the Apple Store and had it fixed within 45 minutes while I was at brunch. After tax and parking it came to less than $145. Save yourself the $$$ and just go to Apple for iPhone screen issues. read more

This is a great service. When my iPad 3 fell out of my truck a few weeks ago, I wasn't sure if I would get it fixed, I really did not know where to turn. I did not want to mail it somewhere, I do not really trust some of the stores that I have seen advertise fixing mobile devices. I had accidentally dropped my iPhone 6+ and the screen was shattered, so I called icracked to get it fixed, well the guy called me right back and told me the truth and said to take it to Apple. Instead of scamming me 300+$ he was really honest about telling me I could get it done cheaper at the Apple Store because Apple sells the replacement screens to the icracked guys for a much higher price than Apple replaces them at their store. Shawn was referred to me by another IPhone repair guy who was out of town for the week. I checked Shawn's yelp reviews and everything looked good. He is firm on his price of $140 plus tax and he let me know it is that price because he come's to meet you (at a convenient Starbucks) and fix your phone. We had an appointment for 5:30 on a Tuesday evening and he was nowhere to be found. I ended up texting and calling him to leave a voicemail. When he returned my call, 12 minutes after my appointment, he let me know he wouldn't be able to keep his appointment. I wish he would have called me before I made arrangements to have someone watch my daughter. In the end, this might have been a blessing in disguise. Batteries Plus will fix my Iphone 6 plus for $129 plus tax and they have a $10 coupon if you book online. Hopefully I can get my phone fixed tomorrow. I attempted to contact this business to fix my broken galaxy and I have been waiting for over a week with no contact made from the business. They sent me an automated text saying that they would get ahold of me later that day to get a quote and an estimate and its been over a week and I still haven't heard anything. I sent an email and the excuse I got was "there may not be a tech near by. I will NOT be recommending this company to anyone as this is not how you treat potential customers. This could have easily been a 5 star rating..... Shawn was nice, he knows his stuff, was punctual, a job well done. The price is right too. There was a snag though. When I called to set up the appointment he asked what color my phone was, Black. At the repair session he took my phone apart and had it all gutted before he realized that he did not have any black faces for my phone. Only white. Had he said so in the first place I would have happily postponed until the right parts could be obtained. But with my phone completely gutted and in pieces on the table, 30 mins into the repair, I felt trapped and committed. Now I have an absolutely hideous white phone. I hate white. That is why I bought black....... I'd recommend Shawn to anyone - JUST CHECK THE PARTS BEFORE HE RIPS INTO YOUR PHONE. Lesson I learned the hard-way. My phone was recently fixed and he did an amazing job. My screen was broken and Shawn fixed it within 35 minutes. Shawn also noticed that a prior person who worked on my phone had not replaced 8 of my phone screws! I'm glad he had better integrity and craftsmanship and replaced those for me.
